6301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 25, 2021, 07:39:20 AM
With this incentivizing for the covid vaccine shot that has been initiated, there are now more states that are going to follow what has started.
That only means that it was a successful uplifting the trust of people to the vaccine just because they've made an incentive not only about lottery but also in the form of other incentives that will surely be liked by the person taking the vaccine.

I think that every state should seriously consider splitting the prize pool up so that there can be lots of winners with a lower amount. They could take that $1 million and offer 20 weekly prizes of $50,000 or 10 fortnightly prizes of $100,000. It would help many more people, keep the scheme going for longer and should still achieve exactly the same effect. At the current rate of vaccinations that would cover 3-4 months worth of prizes and get more publicity for the cause. I think anyone who would be susceptible to a monetary reward in return for vaccination would see those as worthy amounts. Sometimes you have to give a good idea a little rethink and optimization.
Would really be good if the prize pool would really be divided into smaller parts just like what others been talking into rather than on having only 1 winner of 1million which wont really be a good motivation
for some people to take the vaccine as they do know that chances on hitting that jackpot is slim compared into those chances if the prizes is divided into smaller parts
not on the sense that it would turn out to be a small amount though.

This is a good initiative but i doubt that it wont be giving out 100% assurance that all would be considering to taking a shot because of this method but it isnt
'really bad neither.
That will look like an incentive to those who want to get the vaccine. Besides that, that money can help people who are less able to buy food. Maybe that can be a win-win solution for people who can not have money to survive. People will see that it is their chance to get the vaccine and get money to survive.

Maybe the government needs to think about another solution to invite more people to get the vaccine.
6302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bloodbath! on: May 25, 2021, 06:49:34 AM
You are not alone because many of us are getting lost too. But we still have to try to make a profit and recover from the losses. The dump will end soon, and you do not need to worry. We need to survive at this moment and if you have money, you can try to buy for a small amount so you can expect to make a profit later when the dump ends.

The altcoin still has a chance to grow again and I think the altcoin season can come later. We just need to calm down and do not panic and yes, patience is the key for us.
If we stop right now and do nothing that will only end up with a lot more worse situation for us. This is why I agree that we have to be optimistic about the future and act accordingly, what is the other option just sell everything you have and get out of crypto completely? That would not help anyone and it would not change anything for anyone neither so there is really no reason to do that, taking a loss and accepting it is not a solution in my mind.

However if you are optimistic about the future and you can hold and wait and even buy some more and just hope for the best you could at least make a bit of profit. Or you could trade if you are good at it and you can still make a bit of profit doing that as well, do something ANYTHING and just try to be active because the other option of just taking a loss and leaving is not a solution at all.
We will regret the future when the situation becomes better because we are not trying hard in the past. It is no use if we are just sad and regretful or disappointed because every person can change and learn better than before. That also happens to the crypto market. If the market is not good to trade, maybe we can leave the market for a while.

Accepting the situations and keeping trying will be good for people who do not want to give up because I am sure they will recover their losses and profit. The future will be better if we can still trying and we will see that if you buy and hold can give you the profit too than not to do something. But that will depend on you because maybe we will have a different plan related to the current situation.
6303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: At what point do you stop buying the dip? on: May 25, 2021, 05:52:09 AM
When you don't know anything about where the dip is you shouldn't put all your money for the expectation of buying the dip. Always do your own analysis and don't put all your money in dips. We saw %95 losses on altcoins, you can never be so sure about dips. For BTC 30k looked like a dip but we may see lower prices and when BTC fall down alts fall worse. Buying coins from cheaper prices are always good but it's impossible to guess the dip every time.

Nobody will ever know the true dip price, it is true even though the altcoins price has dropped very deeply, the price of altcoins could still fall even
lower. Therefore we decide for ourselves the purchase price for each of us. The most important thing when buying coins, don't use all the capital
we have, always leave a little bit in case the price drops even lower. So we can buy again the coins that we bought.
Maybe the big red candle can be a sign for them to buy at a dip because that red candle will appear at the market, so if they can buy at that price, they will expect to buy at a dip. Yes, we do not know when the dipping price comes, but we can buy the coin when the price is down. Even if we do not buy at a dip price, the price will increase and make a profit. Manage our money will be the best thing that we can do to buy at a low price because we will see many times of that low price.
6304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: May 25, 2021, 04:59:37 AM
But a wise gambler can use the altcoin to gamble than to use bitcoin.
I don't think it's a good choice. Many altcoins tend to fall with BTC, it even drops many times against BTC. Personally, I am someone who is stocking a few altcoins, and what happened in the last few days has been a disaster for me  Undecided maybe you don't want to know but I lost at least 2k5$ in 3 days, it's a big loss and I'm quite worried, this downtrend is still continuing.

Doesn't it seem right to gamble and not mind the price of a coin?
The trend is now down, and we admitted that bitcoin falls, but the altcoin follows bitcoin to go falls. I also have some altcoins, which is happening to many of us who have the altcoins and we lose the value because of bitcoin price is down.

A gambler will not mind the price of a coin, but he will think more about gambling or stop for a while if he is a wise gambler. He will know what he needs to do related to the situation.

Well, once you are a gambler, you'll always find a way to gamble, bitcoin volatility will not stop you, besides, there are stable coins you can use if you really want to. This is not the first time we've seen a market volatility, therefore it should not be new to us, it's not a big deal actually.
Yes, I agree with you. If that case, sooner or later, he will become addicted to gambling. He will feel difficult to stop his habit of playing gambling. The stable coin can be a solution for people who want to gamble and limit their money to play gambling. Anyway, the crypto market was volatile from a long time ago and will be like that in the future. Maybe we need to adjust ourselves related to the current situation.
6305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what are you investment strategy on: May 24, 2021, 02:27:44 PM
i have tried trading and discovered that i loose my self whenever the market make huge moves . i sold quite early at any bull market and dump at any instant of the bear market. i find it difficult to control my emotions. since this year, i choose to move into farming, pools and it has been wonderful.

i choose lending and borrowing as my strategy.
farming also is part of it

i FARM ACROSS Bsc to matic and solana. it is a rotation for me. gains from bsc goes to matic. from matic to solana and from solana back to bsc.

what is your strategy please. i want to learn more.
When you find out you are hard to control your emotions and feel difficult to learn about trading, you can try to become a holder. That means you do not have to involve in trading and you only buy on the dip and hold it without thinking about the market movements.

But if you think that farming and pools work perfectly for you, you can continue to make a profit but you need to be careful because you should know how much money you will use to do that thing.

My strategy is trading and holding and that is works for me. I trade when I see I can enter the market, but I will not try to enter the market if I feel it is hard for me. Holding is the other way for me to make a profit in the short and long term so I still use that way to increase my profit.
6306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Withdrawal/Deposit Issues on: May 24, 2021, 01:22:36 PM
I do not experience what @OP gets but I hope that it will never happen to me. I think that will depend on how the rule on each exchange or gambling site, but I think they do not have to do that because the user who wants to withdraw can send the funds to any wallet. But we know that the exchange can do anything they want to the deposit that came to their site and block the funds without telling us. Maybe we can send the money to the other wallet and then send it into the wallet.
Yes, this is none of the exchanges necessity to keep track where we're sending the funds. This is where mixers play a role, because exchanges can't get track of the details about the wallet from to which the fund is being withdrawn. Gambling is illegal in certain countries, for the same making a clear block of funds on withdrawal is not the right way.
After reading your reply, I just thought about using the mixers to win money from the gambling site. Maybe that can be a solution for a gambler who already won a lot of money so they can send it in to the mixers and send it again into the exchanges. Maybe the exchanges just do not want to get a problem with the deposit money, especially if they know that the money comes from the gambling site.
6307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullrun Done? on: May 24, 2021, 12:26:17 PM
Hey everyone! just trying to gather some sentiment what do people think are we at the end of the bullrun here or is it possible for a double top (similar to 2013)?

What does everyone think?
I am not thinking about the bull run because the bull run can back after this downtrend. I am sure the crypto market will increase again, and no need to worry and while we are waiting for the next bull run that might comes, we can buy back more, not just to buy bitcoin but we can buy back altcoin as we can see that the altcoin price is down deep. It might be a good chance to buy more, but that will depend on your strategy and, of course, your money. You do not have to do anything instead, just waiting for the uptrend.

6310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Angry on: May 24, 2021, 09:41:04 AM
I am angry rn I knew I should execute all my crypto yesterday when China anounced ban.
Now all my crypto 30% down.  and it will take 3 years to recover.

I doubt it would take three years to recover from a 30% draw down.  You could make it in one.

And it’s ok..  To make you feel better, I’m also in somewhat of a rut and it could take some time making it back.  Lol.  But I’ve taken some losses before so no big deal.  The weird thing is I wasn’t angry.  I felt numb.
Yes, we can hope that soon, the market will be back, and we can make a profit again, even we will make a big profit because the bull run will come back to the market.
We all have the same experience to see our portfolio is down a lot, but we need to be patient because it is only temporary. Besides that, this downtrend happens for just 2 weeks, so there is still a chance to see the bull run after this. Just be patient and wait for a while.
6311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: At what point do you stop buying the dip? on: May 24, 2021, 06:29:45 AM
I think that will depend on how is your feeling. If your feeling says to stop, it is better to stop buying at the dip because you already buy many amounts. But if your feeling says that the price will go down for more, you can prepare to buy more. Maybe we have a different method to know when we decide to stop buying at the dip because that will also depend on the money we have because we do not have to spend all of the money buying at the dip. We need to manage how much money that we can use to buy the coin at the dip.
6312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bloodbath! on: May 24, 2021, 05:27:19 AM
yeah this is the biggest dump ever in 2021.
I hope that this dump will come to an end soon and the price of all altcoins will become huge and go boom again.
because i already lost about $3500, for me it's a lot.
but still lets wait because patience is the key.
You are not alone because many of us are getting lost too. But we still have to try to make a profit and recover from the losses. The dump will end soon, and you do not need to worry. 6313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SAVE CRYPTO FROM PEOPLE LIKE ELON MUSK on: May 24, 2021, 04:31:46 AM
While others are seeing this bloody market as a loss, why dont we take this opportunity to accumulate more coins? Elon Musk definitely manipulated the priçe, but he is not the only whale that can do the price  movements. We can still see it in an optimistic way.

Also, we all have a choice to hold. Why so upset? Its not new in crypto world.
People are too stupid and emotional about the recent fiasco of Elon to think about that, what they want right now is to hate on the person that doesn't even know that they exist, they are essentially shouting to the void. That's what I am currently doing right now and I gotta tell you that when bitcoin hits another ATH or the 100k mark, you best bet I will get a lot of profit out of it.
Maybe people are just desperate to make money because they can not make money from long ago. We can not blame people or Elon because they have their own reason to do that. Maybe Elon has a hidden agenda and plans to do that while people want to make money. Many people lose their money and some of them cut losses their coin to buy back at a low price. But many others just watch the price movements without doing something because they already lose their money by investing in a high price.
6314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 24, 2021, 03:15:10 AM
I agree that the lottery prize worth 1 million is not worth the many lives that might have been saved if more and more people were enthusiastic
about getting the vaccine. Because indeed the main purpose of this lottery is to invite people to be interested in vaccines, and like you said after
the vaccine, if getting the lottery prize can be considered a bonus. Hopefully what the governor of the Ohio has done with the idea of a lottery
can raise people's awareness about vaccine. At least Ohio residents can be more concerned with this pandemic condition, it requires cooperation
from all parties and cannot rely solely on the government.
I hope that too because that is for their people healthy and to survive in this pandemic which we do not know when it will end. If many people want to get the vaccine, it will make more people realize that and that can attract them o follow their step.

If you allow to be vaccinated by the first vial , then you must also have the second and final vaccination so there is nothing to explain about the second has been given because that is the step 2.
and also there are more than Half of people in many countries that had already initiated to be vaccinated so i think it is the supply that slowing the process because the Major countries are the first to be allotted before 2nd and third world countries .
The government needs to concern about the supply of the vaccine as there will be many people, elderly or younger people, who will get that vaccine. I think maybe there are many processes before the supply can be delivered to the other country so that can make a delay to receive the vaccine.

What the government needs to do is in addition to giving lottery prizes, but focus on education and socialization related to vaccines to the citizen.
Don't wait for people who are actively looking for information about vaccines on social media and their environment. It could be that the information
that the public gets is far from the truth, that's why most people end up looking safe by refusing vaccines.
Maybe the government can send their officers to many places and educate and socialise people about the importance of the vaccine so they want to be vaccinated. If they can do that, maybe people can open their mind and accept the vaccine so that will help the government distribute the vaccine. Both sides, the government and people need to be active to give information and search for the information, so there is a "take and give" action between them.
6315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC down , does the altcoin will keep strong on: May 23, 2021, 11:19:37 AM
Yes, it does drop in altcoins. But altcoins with low bitcoin dominance have not melted too much. But if it still continues to decline after that, bitcoin, altcoins will now be crushed.
The price of most altcoins depends on the movement of BTC and no exaggeration to say that maybe all of them follow the movement of BTC. If BTC keeps the price decreasing, unfortunately, other cryptocurrencies will get also down. However, there are also some strong projects like ETH that can survive. However it seems ETH has also started decreasing, l hope BTC will start increasing again. If BTC keeps getting down, that means the bear market is so near.
It is true that not all coins have fallen, for example, like ethereum, although in reality it has fallen but not drastically,
I think it's normal and we'll see the development of bitcoin,
I hope the market can recover soon and bitcoin is back on the rise
I believe it will recover soon. But at this moment, it seems hard to search for the coin that can survive, unless the strong coins as ethereum, bnb, and others. But fortunately, the bitcoin price is still at a higher price, which means the price is at more than $30k, which we can hope that we can profit from trading. This situation can be up and down without predicting, so we need to decide carefully and always analyze before entering the market.
6316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Traders, y'all buying, selling or on the fence? on: May 23, 2021, 10:31:09 AM
Recent events needs nerves of titanium! Good time to sell? Good time to buy? Wait and see...?? Where are you in this equation, and why?

*Note: Question is to traders, not HODLers.
This time will be the best time to buy, although you need to analyze more to find if it's good for your or waits for more. That is what the investors do if they see the lower price. But the traders will not just buy and hold but they will try to search for the time to sell the coins at a high price. But you can just wait and see what will happen to the market so you can decide later. But before you do something, make sure you research to know the real situation in the market so you do not make a wrong decision.
6317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding 5 years a just a imagination on: May 23, 2021, 10:02:52 AM
we keep the coins at least 5 years , but its too long imagination.  you can proof it. 2018 early NEM coin was top 6 Marketcap now 56. so keeping its useless. we have to updated everytime and get the action the correct time and exit.

Now i think bear market is going on , so holding for 4,5 years just a imagination. specially i have to say that TOP 5 coins , we must keep  most probebly they will surpass the All time high again.

what all your perspectives?
I think that is not just imagination because I do not mind holding my coins for 4-5 years later. After all, that will be my investment in the long term. But I am sure that some coins can be a short term investment as I see that some coins can increase. Besides using the crypto as my investment, I will try to trade it and make a profit because I think some coins will have good movements in the market and not all of the coins will just stay at a lower price without any movements.
6318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 23, 2021, 08:15:44 AM
Hopefully, with that lottery's, people wants to get the vaccine because that is for their health and protecting them from the virus. The prizes are not important, but their health will be the important thing that they need to concern about. If they can be the winner after the vaccine, that will be their bonus because they follow what their government suggested. It should need more attention from people and awareness to get the vaccine. Besides that, the vaccine is free and they do not have to pay anything.

Several months have passed since the vaccination program has started in the United States. And despite widespread concerns initially, adverse effects from the vaccination have been noted from very few recipients. Almost half of the population has so far received both doses of the vaccine. At this point, there is no point in encouraging people who are reluctant to take vaccine to get inoculated. The field data is already available and if someone still don't want the vaccine, then IMO he or she shouldn't be forced.
Although they can not be forced to get the vaccine, that still for their health, especially if they want to get out in the public area. That vaccine can give protection to them, although it is not full protection because that will depend on their health. Yes, the second vaccine is already given to people, including to the elderly. But still, many of them do not want to get the vaccine. They can leave the lottery and do not fills anything, but they should concern about their health and follow their government suggestion, especially for their health. That is the important thing.
6319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buying crypto currencies and then travelling on: May 23, 2021, 04:04:41 AM
If you buy crypto currencies in one country and then travel to another country, as long as I have the passphrase and private key on paper, hidden in mulptiple places and the crypto on an online exchange, no kyc, p2p bought, non custodial and bought on a clean laptop, can I delete the website from by laptop, including the online wallet, and then sign in again to that exchange after travelling.
You can delete the cookies in your browser so there is no websites list on your laptop. But the best thing you can do is reinstall the laptop, so there is no sign that you already use that laptop.

You need to keep the passphrase and everything related to your activity on your computer and do the thing in the above step for the wallet.

You can buy a new laptop in the destination country and install everything necessary to access your credential, including your wallet, to make a transaction.

I have heard, dont know if it is true, but better safe than sorry, that they now have devices to scan your smartphone and laptop to see what is on it. I would not be surprised if they do that now, the governments of the world are becoming very anti crypto currency, especially for privacy coins.
Not all governments will become very anti cryptocurrency, and you can feel safe when you visit their country.
6320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans Bitcoin again in 2021 on: May 23, 2021, 03:37:00 AM
Then they would soon lift out the ban and the price would increase,
I wonder when would they ban it again after they decided to unban it I mean this is getting kinda regular cycle now and maybe later on we would see more country banning it to drive the price lower,
Then when it is recovering and they see that it is working well again they would unban it again to make it fly again and wait for the perfect timing to ban it again.
They have tightened the regulation because of the Bitcoin bull run that happens. I think it will be too hard to unban bitcoin in china as china's cabinet is cracking down on trading and bitcoin mining cryptocurrency.
Even Weibo already suspended the social media account of Huobi, Binance, and other big crypto exchange. It will be too hard for Chinese people to use Bitcoin now.
I think the Chinese government is not serious about banning bitcoin because bitcoin already exists and help their people. The Chinese government has already learned a lot about bitcoin technology, and they want to launch their digital money to compete with the other digital money.

But all in all, we do not know their reason to ban bitcoin, especially if they know the benefits of bitcoin. Hopefully, they will really ban bitcoin.
