6321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Top Bitcoin Donation Addresses on: March 17, 2016, 08:11:15 AM
some of these addresses has been receiving donation back from 2013, maybe there should be some sort of USD equivalent for amount they received.

but nonetheless that is impressive amount of bitcoin donated throughout the years. the biggest donation i knew of was the torrent site called eztv which had around 10BTC donated Smiley
6322  Other / Meta / Re: Signature maker on: March 17, 2016, 08:00:52 AM
I want to try to create a signature here in the forum but I don't honestly know how. I know it's composed of bbcodes but can you guys suggest where I can practice making sigs? An editor or something like that.

Check the signature campaigns threads to see their BBcodes and see how it looks like and try to make your own style (test with the method given above) .

yeah, you can copy one of the signatures that you like and start from there, so you are not starting from scratch.

but also you might want to google how to turn text to BBCode for forum signature, or a similar key word.
i did this a while back and found a couple of things that worked but they were all simple code. you might find a proper bot/code that turns text into BBCode with all the background, color and shapes you like. don't forget to share if you found one.
6323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Anonymity of Bitcoin Urban Legend. (Terrible Things You Didn't Know About) on: March 17, 2016, 07:50:41 AM
first of all tracking someone through their bitcoin address is not something that everybody can do and find the real person's location (physical address) so for those of us that are not doing some shady business like a scam cam site, we don't care about the level of anonymity that you are talking about.
6324  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be Bitcoin Price After 3 months? on: March 17, 2016, 07:33:37 AM
I am bullish during next three months bitcoin will reach 650$.after will be some dump but i hope bitcoin will stay above 520$ Will be a lot of storm in financial world

if we reach $650 in the next three months, even if there was a dump after that, the price is not going to go below $500 and most probably we are going to stay at the same price +-20 from then on.

although i think the $650 is going to be much bigger and around $800 because of the halving, hence the bigger dump and lower price but the min is around $500
6325  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: March 17, 2016, 07:28:58 AM
yes, this month is perfect o buy bitcoins, later it will be too late, after halving, prices will be higher than it is now, so buy now or cry later,  i bought much as  i could now

The price is very stable recently. So it is OK to buy now or wait a little longer. But the price will rise in June.
Next month is perfect way to buy bitcoins, cause after 2 months  it is the start of halving, so before the halving make you bought all the bitcoins you can.

In the runup to the block halving the price will go higher and higher, so don't wait untill next month with buying and do it now.

Well I think if we are headed to the block size the price will go to a very low amount just for the halving.
After that it will go to a much higher amount because of the halving, so buying now or before is both good, just do not buy them in the middle of it.

You can see the price is now going a bit up.
Anyway one thing is sure that after June there will be a time of halving and after that no one with low amount will be able to buy bitcoin so the 3 months we have to buy bitcoin. Not to stop from buying bitcoin until halving starts.

it is not going to be an exact time, like as the halving starts the price moves!
the change is either the same as past six months, slowly growing towards the top which we can all see happen. or it can be sudden with a big pump towards the high prices at least $200 increase at a time.
6326  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 17, 2016, 07:21:38 AM
there should always be some money stored away in a bank or anything like it for emergencies and unexpected expenses, and whatever remains after that should never stay idle in your pocket or bank. that money should be invested in some business that is trusted and pays a good profit, this way you will stay ahead of inflation and add to your wealth at the same time.
6327  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: March 17, 2016, 07:17:06 AM
I don't think so for the time being, To actually go full-time in bitcoin you would either need a very big amount of bitcoins or a business running online related to it and I don't have these but I think of it as an interesting part-time job.

May be when bitcoin hit higher prices people may wanted to work for bitcoin in full time manner. Till that people will be having a secondary thinking on being a full timer only for bitcoin earning. Because even I get salary in bitcoin I do not has more bitcoin accepting products for my living.
For those who are earning a big amount with bitcoin will like to adopt it as full time job and will never waste their time in any low earning job while those who are low earners of bitcoin will continue it as part time.

i agree.
if you can earn a big amount (a couple of thousands of dollar) then it is a good idea to go full time with bitcoin. but if it is a normal amount or the same amount you are earning from a regular daily job it is better to stick to the regular job because bitcoin comes with volatility which makes it unpredictable.
6328  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: March 17, 2016, 07:09:25 AM
holding bitcoins, but is anyone holding on another other coins like ether or factom? the real question is for how long?

when everyone screams Sell, it's a great time to buy. So buy and hold the bitcoins for somelong.
Yes, the best time for buying bitcoin comes when everyone feel fear from it and start to sell his/her all coins, at that time you can find it at a much low price and can earn better with future value increase.

exactly, that is what recently happened with the ETH pump. all the FUD and spams caused a short term dip in bitcoin price which i used to buy some more bitcoin with the money i had on exchangers.
6329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Price on: March 17, 2016, 07:04:51 AM
I am new to bitcoin and the forum, I find bitcoin to be fascinating and have purchased books and a cheap usb asic miner to get a better understanding of how this system works. I am still skeptical that bitcoin has the ability to be maintained in the long run. How can you be sure that you won't wake up one day and your bitcoins will be worth nothing?

you need to look the bitcoin price chart history. also take a loot at the market cap and the daily trade volume.
after that read about how bitcoin is working, and about the security,...

now do you think such a useful and secure technology with this big a market can disappear over night?
price swings around but it is not like you are going to wake up tomorrow and see the price has gone from $414 to $1
even if it goes down it will take a very long time to reach there.
6330  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 17, 2016, 06:56:52 AM
Joined, followed the step but not yet activated
Let be honest here, they are not accepting any more participants right now. But it doesn't mean there is no chance that marco will accept you and you'll be the lucky one Cheesy
And btw, you are still a Member. You need to get at least a Full Member to be able to ask this kind of question Grin

maybe he has an individual thing going on with Marco, because there is no signature code for "Members" in the OP. i don't know where he got his signature from!
6331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: For how much member can rent his signature? on: March 17, 2016, 06:51:29 AM
I would like to know for how much can member rent his signature, for one week , for one month.
Else we can discuss for any rank and even for negative trust.
What do you think?

you can earn 0.0182BTC = 20 posts * 7 days * 0.00013BTC perPost from YOBIT signature campaign.

but it is not just about the max you can earn, you have to make 20 posts a day while not spamming which is hard if you don't want to spend >2 hours on forum.
6332  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 15, 2016, 10:14:51 AM
is the bot fixed?

because as i said in my PM yesterday, after the bot reset on 2016-3-13 i made 12 posts and the bot showed 12 posts too but the day after that (2016-3-14) the bot was reset again and started me from 0

i am waiting on a fix to resume posting.

6334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Store to not Accept Bitcoin Anymore on: March 13, 2016, 09:26:37 AM
i think it is because they have been supporting a couple of altcoins for a while.

i can't quite remember all the names of the coins (they are at least 4 coins) but you can find them in altcoin section, i can tell you one thing though it is not ETH.
6335  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: March 13, 2016, 09:23:05 AM
I think Bitcoin price will be arroud 350 to 400 after the halving, now ethereum is getting bigger and bigger.

ethereum is just a big bubble about to burst. and also the bigger it gets the higher the chance of it getting burst and the also the bigger the fall.

bitcoin on the other hand has sustained this level of market cap for years. and it is growing each day. this year when the effects of all the FUD in the last months wear off the price is going to jump, because it was kept down this long.
6336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving how will it affect price? on: March 13, 2016, 09:19:07 AM
halving is going to have the biggest effect on bitcoin price. apart from leading to less supply with the same growing demand there is also the expectation effect this halving has on the price. everybody expects the price to go up so they are accumulating bitcoin and creating more and more demand which will raise the price on its own.
6337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest gambling victory on: March 13, 2016, 09:14:10 AM
gambling is just for fun. i dont trust all my bitcoins and invest on it. Rarely gambling sites will give you a high profit if you have a good luck, if  not it will be busted. but in that case you are really lucky for making such victory:)
I don't see a reason why gambling sites won't let you win if you gamble with high stakes and are on a lucky streak.
The problem usually is that people who won big money won't settle with it and countinue gambling until their winnings and eventually entire bankroll is gone.

it is all about good or bad luck as long as the casino is fair and not rigged. so you can expect a nice amount to win if you are lucky.

my biggest gambling victory was going from 0.005BTC to 0.1BTC in dice but that is all. the rest of my history is filled with losses and small winnings Cheesy
6338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: March 13, 2016, 08:44:48 AM
Is their any safe methods to gamble? Means without losing much of our money can gamble?

Any tips or suggestions?

Yeah just bet 1 Satoshi at a time or use 98% payout  Grin
Lol no one is willing to gamble using 1 satoshi amount. unless they're trying to dumb strategy. and using a 98% chance is not completely secure. I lost a couple of times every 10 times the bet. it happened when I was playing dice and looking for a roll number that is being searched as 88.88 etc. 98% chance will only harm you

if you are using a faucet then you might want to start from 1 satoshi. but i think even if you want to secure the winning by starting from a smallest amount possible you should use 10 satoshi at least because winning each time will be 10 times more and you can at least gather a small amount in comparison with 1 satoshi.
6339  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Bitcoin desktop wallet without downloading the entire blockchain? on: March 13, 2016, 08:40:43 AM
Is that possible?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already have one (electrum and some other lightweight wallets)?

you are correct.
they are called SPV wallets. these wallets (like Electrum) download only the blockchain headers (it is ~40 MB for Electrum) and connect to dedicated servers which are running a full node and receive / send information from them.
6340  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: March 13, 2016, 08:34:40 AM
ya i do spend my bitcoins in my real life to buy some things online and also i  invest some bitcoins for gambling purpose.

alright. but these are online use of bitcoins you are talking about. OP was asking about real life, did you buy things with bitcoin on your nearly grocery shop? I think you didn't do that like me. I also didn't use bitcoin physically but I have good hopes, one day I will can do it for sure.

buying stuff online does not happen in an alternate universe it is still "real life"
i've paid for games too with bitcoin. i used to pay with credit card and things like that but i use bitcoin anywhere possible.
besides for spending bitcoin on groceries for example requires a grocery store accepting bitcoin because i will never use bitcoin debit card or any third party like that instead.
