Hey bitcoininformation, just seen another one of your photos on Wikipedia (on the right, second one down) : http://goo.gl/SttdkXI really expected one of my coin pictures to be on Wikipedia. That would have been awesome as fuck, but instead, I find a picture of a glove.

Alright, I have some major catching up to do. Will go through all the posts and update the OP accordingly. EDIT: Aaaand done. Tell me if I missed anything.
|
|

The OP says 'atleast 10 days'. Could you be a bit more specific about the length of the advertising period?
It's 10 days, but, as a mere human, I can forget it because of work, personal life, etc.

I just tried the TestNet version and I can confirm that it works like it should. Thanks for keeping those servers up and running.

Seems wise. But the risk of online wallets are your online provider will be compromised, while the risks of desktop wallet is that your PC will be compromised. I do like Armory's "Deterministic" wallet however, where if you print out and save the initial seed, you can generate all private keys without having to backup the wallet every so often. However, storing your coins on your desktop wallet does make you vulnerable to hackers, as evidenced every few days on this site when you get a user who logs in to post, for their first message, "I lost all my bitcoins due to [keyboard logger], [hack], [browser redirect, especially in Tor], etc etc etc". Seems to me, no offense to diehard believers, that Bitcoin is still in the beta stage maybe even alpha stage. If you are unable to store your wallet/private keys safely, it's not a Bitcoin related problem. You fucked up and that doesn't put Bitcoin anywhere.

lol. I do love the dedication of bitcoininfo and his latex gloves But but... I never wore latex gloves before D: I just recently purchased a package so that I could hold my Kialara Physical Bitcoin. I didn't want to mess it up. After that I started wearing them if I handle a coin, because well, it's a lot better.

Sorry buddy couldn't resist just struck me as funny . It's a great idea to wear them much better than soft (fabric) gloves, gives total protection for the coin like wearing a condom on your fingers. No worries man, I had to read that sentence a few time before I got that you were teasing me about the gloves. " Latex gloves, the hand condoms for your precious coins! You don't want them to be dirty, right?"

Coin looks really nice, good pictures too Were you off to check someones prostate after Thank you and no I didn't check anyones prostate after that. I prefer latex gloves, because they don't leave a lot of dust particles behind like soft gloves (made from cotton/wool). I want a coin that is as clean as possible without any dust on it/in the air tight casing.

Just tried one of the servers and it seems to work just fine. The VPS Control Panel is pretty neat as well. Using Putty to create a SSH connection works great, but there is some noticeable lag. Most likely because the locations are all outside the EU. It's great for storing wallets that aren't password protected.

Opening statement:
I got my coin today and it looks great, good job mrbrt! I love the new packaging and the extra Ravenbit Sticker you get. I mean, the boxes were sick, but this looks way cooler if you open the envelope. Opening the packaging:

A small group buy might be in order to cut down on the shipping cost and get the best price without buying 11 coins.
What's the numbering on these? A picture above shows #0400 and yet there are only 200 total?
Shipping from Europe or US?
Thanks, I got number 244 and the range is 200 to 400. That's what I understood from the messages being posted. They don't ship from Europe nor the US. Not sure if I can openly post where they do ship from, sorry.

So if someone used the same code as moneypot, therefore this site already is cheating us. They did this without asking permission? What did espringe said about this? It is not cheating. Someone can legally use the source code provided by espringe, as long as they comply with the terms of the license.
|
|
|
Not a wise thing to do. What isn't and why not?
|
|
|
So what do you think about this?
ToTheMoon.is -- Moneypot in space
Hoax? Scam? Legit? Ok? Looks like someone took the MoneyPot source code (which can be found on GitHub) and changed it a bit. But I cannot tell you if it's legit or not, since we cannot see the code that they are using.

I got an account from him but am a little hesitant in downloading the software! Got a few BTC on the same comp!
The software posted is well known. Just do a little Google search, no need to worry And if you don't trust BiPolarBob, just download something else there are enough VPN programs available.

Here are the promised pictures! You can clearly see the dust/dirt/smudges.

I finally received my coin and it looks awesome, I really like it. The certificate looks amazing as well. Will make some pictures and post them here.
However (and you may call me annoying), I do have two things to say: 1. The coin was a bit dirty when I received it (smudges and dust), no scratches as far as I can see, will check thoroughly later on. 2. It would be nice if the certificate was laminated. Normal paper doesn't match with how good the coin looks.

4.64 _ 1.69 | 1.65 | 1.10 | 1.25 | 1.22 |-- WTF?!?? 1.89 | 1.09 | 1.42 | 1.01 | 1.14 _| That crash list is quite normal if you ask me. Have seen it happen so many times.
