Several asked and PM his but still no answer so think this is gonna be junk.

6343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We neet bitcoin ATMs on: September 08, 2014, 05:01:37 AM
Yeah, yes we do, but we need to stop the ID scan and all that fucking orwelian looking shit. We need to do it anonymous FFS, otherwise it defeats the point. Look at this shit:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnm4xFC2xNo

We need to avoid this shit ASAP. We need to make it simple. Put FIAT into machine, Bitcoin gets transported in your wallet, period! We need to hire people as security to avoid people robbing you and what not and that's about it. No one is going to want to scan their ID's and creepy shit like that.

This video is bull shit i we definitely need to AVOID this.
I agree with you make it simple, meaning more like standard atm.
Card Pin deposit or withdraw, with small fee.
6344  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: September 05, 2014, 11:00:24 AM
Didnt pass firewall checks. So this is not good for me.

I would have thought stratum on port 443 would pass the firewall, but it's possible it will notice that stratum is not TLS (https). However getblocktemplate on port 80 I'm pretty sure will work, because getblocktemplate IS http. You'll probably need to force your mining client to use getblocktemplate and not try to switch to stratum on port 3333 though.

That said, mining at work is not a good idea unless you have permission.

stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:443
http://mint.bitminter.com:80 (add options to force getblocktemplate or disable stratum, so your client won't switch when the server says "by the way, we have stratum on 3333")

Some clients/hardware today may only support stratum.

10x for info. But our admin dont allow most of thing cuz we have been lawsuit for illegal transfer so we are limited for net use.
Maybe when they finished new network installment next year something better happen.

Also i will try this what you have mentioned. Hope it will give some resultants always was error decode failed or failed to connect
6345  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a socially fair currency on: September 05, 2014, 10:36:08 AM
Of the world's over 7 billion people, how many can today afford or even practically buy bitcoins? Not many percentage wise. And someone said that 70% of the U.S. population today don't even know what bitcoin is.

So how is that fair? It isn't. Because the opportunity to buy early is very lopsidedly distributed in society.

What's wrong with that? Neither can everyone have a Porsche. But everyone is free to buy it, they just need to give goods or services in exchange.

The only difference is that Porsche is a consumption asset. If a majority of the people have to do without Porsches, it would be considered acceptable. In the scenario that Bitcoin becomes the de-facto currency of the world, excluding a large part of the world from holding bitcoins (because they are priced out) may be considered unfair.

They wouldn't be excluded, they can get them like everyone else, by selling goods and services in exchange of them.

Those who get in at the fag end of mass adoption will have only a few satoshis, even if they sold goods and services n exchange for them. Smiley

Yes, but those satoshis will be worth much more than now. So it's the same.

I dont know maybe they will but that is long term. Most of newcomers want fast so i dont think that they will succeed in this.

6346  Economy / Speculation / Re: September Pump on: September 05, 2014, 10:33:20 AM
It's way to early to tell you just what will happen with the price, it could drop more for all we know but then again many could be proven wrong and we could see an increase instead, nobody will know until the end of this month or at least further into this month.

Seem like its gonna be stable on 500 for now.
Nobody is for sure what will happen and when will be next jump or fall.

We can just w8 , or maybe invest or something.
6347  Other / Archival / Re: Mining pools list on: September 05, 2014, 10:12:58 AM
Saw that only port with 80 port is closed to bad i was hopping to test it and try it. Hope that will be new any time soon.

Bitminter has stratum on port 443 and getblocktemplate on port 80.

10x for info i will try this today at least tomorrow i will post thing is that I have strong firewall on work and that might be a problem.

Post tomorrow.

Didnt pass firewall checks. So this is not good for me.

Shame i was hopping to see some coins mine on work but hot gonna happen.
6348  Economy / Economics / Re: Death of Bitcoins made by Apple? on: September 05, 2014, 08:45:29 AM
Apple should use bitcoin for this instead, it would be better...

that is completely against everything that apple is about. they like to control everything and forcefeed you what you like or don't like.. plus you can make more money that way.

Not quite, they usually pick a thing that already exists but wasn't a success, or at least not yet, rebrand it and add a bitten apple logo to it. Then they let the fanboys do their magic...

Apples way exactly. That how they make more money and they continue on doing this for long time.

6350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predictions : Mining of new bitcoins stops tommorow on: September 05, 2014, 08:04:49 AM
Nothing.

Maybe price will go up and maybe will fall down. This is something that cant be predicted also it cant be predicted price for cryptos.
Seem like that it will take some time to pass before some changes accouter off course that mean that lot of companies get involved in cryptos

please help me, how to invest in bitcoin. whether there is a secure wallet.

You can invest in altcoins or in some other thing.
Meaning you can open account on some cryptomarket and try to ear by investing in some altcoin that looks promising or you can invest in some other thing like gold, silver, oil ....

You pick one and choose wisely.

6354  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you interested in Bitcoin because of the concept or to get rich? on: September 04, 2014, 08:46:57 AM
I started using it for tax evasion and drugs so I guess you could say I'm here for the concept. jk

The word rich has different meanings to different people. Some people think it means enough money to never work again - early retirement (that's where I am now). Others want to be able to jet around the world spending thousands of dollars a day and buy anything they want without worrying about the price.

I don't think it will be possible for Bitcoin to make any of even the early adopters rich like Paris Hilton in their lifetimes. Oh sure, the founders of Bitcoin are rich if the market grows from it's current like 6 billion cap to maybe a 6 trillion cap. Then they might be able to do one of two things - jet set around the world spending Bitcoin everywhere they go or cash out enough Bitcoin to jet set around the world without crashing the price back to a penny. That's not going to happen over night, or this year, or this decade. If the early adopters are very lucky and Bitcoin survives they might see it happen in their lifetime. I'm beginning to think there are no practical people using Bitcoin at all. Everyone always parrots that Bitcoin went over $1,000 and can do it again. Yeah, ok let's all sell the minute it reaches $1,200 again. Oops, that's what caused it to not be over a thousand anymore.

Bitcoin needs slow exponential growth in the number of people using it as cash before it's going to have a stable steady growth in price and a large enough cap to be able to allow early adopters to cash out. Don't get me wrong. I'm very pleased that there are hippies in Finland buying waffles at a restaurant with Bitcoin. I'm glad you can buy a Lamborghini with Bitcoin. Everything that's happened so far is great but we need people paying their everyday bills directly in Bitcoin. I want to go to Safeway and buy my groceries with it. I want my local power company to let me pay them directly in Bitcoin. When I get a parking ticket I want to pay it online with Bitcoin. When that happens early adopters can start spending their coin directly and be rich.

If you're 15-25 years old and just coming to Bitcoin because you want to be rich you're outa luck. It ain't gonna happen for you unless you run out and buy 10,000 of them and wait out the years of growth. If you hate the strangle hold that governments have over the finances of their subjects and want to watch that grip slowly erode away as the decades pass. Welcome, you've come to the right place.

Well said. Agree on all that you said especially last thing get rich quick.
That is not gonna happen for newcomers any time soon.

6358  Economy / Economics / Re: Employees in Canada Opting For Salaries In Bitcoin on: September 04, 2014, 05:11:42 AM
This can be good also may be bad.

Seem like that employees in world try to earn more, expecting for change of btc price.

However this may be first signal for other companies to get involved in this and one step closer for more implementing of credit/debit card with btc

6359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible that 1 BTC be worth $2,000 by the end of 2015? on: September 03, 2014, 10:36:34 AM
That's a pretty realistic expectation
Not certain, but not difficult to see happen
My personal expectation is $2k-5k for end of 2015

Agreed on this.

My personal is to be around 2.5K.

But lets take little time to w8 and see what will happen maybe this will be in end of this year
6360  Economy / Speculation / Re: September Pump on: September 03, 2014, 10:24:43 AM

not gonna happen, bitcoin is going to nowhere but down, face reality please

this gives me hope!

hope is to die last in this.

waiting is only mean of success for now.
