6341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does it take to become a pro on: January 27, 2019, 05:21:35 AM
Beyond constant practice that could lead to improvement and near perfection, getting a grip on  psychology and emotions are vital requirements if OP wants to turn pro in an industry as speculative as cryptocurrency. It doesn't matter the number of years they spend in cryptos.
6342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: January 27, 2019, 05:09:12 AM
Hey guys I have different criterias:
1) ICO rating site
2) Design of the site (if it is too primitive and not unique don’t even pay attention)
3) Social Networks and activity there.
4) Number of subscribers in telegram
5) Team must pass KYC test on ICO Bench
6) Huge partners. For example exchanges
7) Hype
What do you think is this enough, or you recommend to add something?
I had those cancelled out because they're not true indicators to choosing a credible project. I have participated in ICOs that had all that yet they scammed. What about Viox? Westerncoin? Hextracoin? They all had those features but where are they today?
6343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Without Using Indicators on: January 26, 2019, 09:05:53 PM

This is just a normal 1month chart of Bitcoin.
No indicators are being used.

I’ve been trading for almost 2years now and I can say, I can now trade by just looking at the chart without using any indicators, i don’t know why I was able to do this but I think this is normal after reading a lot of books, watching youtube tutorials about trading and so many failed trades.

This post is not to bragged anyone, this is meant to inspire people not to give up on trading or not to depend to anyone. If you really want to know more about trading, then you should take more effort. I didn’t learn trading overnight it took me almost 2years before I can confidently trade. Always start with a small step and in time, you can also trade without using any indicators.
The most trusted indicator is the "Eye". If you understand what I mean. This should be complimented with the fundamentals. Otherwise, you're just gambling and it's a matter of time before you're burnt.
6344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Jump in with trend and get out with the trend! on: January 26, 2019, 05:57:44 PM
The Trend is like Water. Water keeps no enemies whether you're sad that it drowned a beloved one or not you still get to drink or use it. The Trend is every trader's friend. Go against it and you get burnt. You just have to ride on its back for good results.
6345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: day trading is like having sex on: January 26, 2019, 05:45:48 PM
My friend just quote this one. I think he is right

Day trading is like having sex.

''Get in and out as much and as fast as possible to get satisfied maximally.''

I think this exactly explains day trading. I am a day trader myself. I rather get in and out of the market 50-100 times a day and take small profits with smaller amounts of my balance than trying to chase a couple percent in 1 trade.
What a hilarious analogy. You're obviously a scalper if you trade that way. And scalpers generate a lot more commission for brokers or exchanges (as it is with cryptocurrency) whether you lose or gain. I rather don't trigger numerous trades in a day. One or two daily should be enough to give one a decent gain and less commission to exchanges. Again -on sex, with that numerous entries you should be a "One Minute Man" Grin
6346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: January 24, 2019, 01:14:22 PM
Considering the high level of scam associated with ICOs presently, many investors are at risk of loosing their investments. Bounty hunters like us are not spared as we may be rendering free services to some scammers and also risking our personal data.

I suppose a regulatory body be set up to audit the ICO process and the  founders, and if anything goes wrong or should the project fail, they will be liable. This will reduce drastically investors risk and also keep scammers away. What do you think?
Yes and yes! I am all in for the regulation of ICOs. I have lost a great deal of cash through scammers masquerading as project developers. It's really disheartening that these scumbags are let loose on unsuspecting public. It's time to end all that fraud. Let the regulation come.
6347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Real Risks of Crypto? on: January 24, 2019, 10:01:50 AM
For me, I think the real problem of cryptocurrency is lack of regulation of ICOs. Every crypto going through an ICO should be made to undergo a compulsory regulation to ensure that it's scam free. A hell lot of investors have been scammed through ICOs. And once scammed they become skeptical about cryptocurrency.
6348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you following your gut instinct in trading? on: January 23, 2019, 04:16:50 AM
We were advice during my forex trading by trading expert that we should not depend only on technical and fundamentals indicators alone in trading but we should focus our mind in the third indicator which is our gut instinct and we were told that it can not fail us but making us rich and build our confident in trading.  However. I think about 80% of traders don't know how to hear the voice of their instinct during trading!  Can one get this gut instinct training like others investments tools?  Is it even truth that we have something like gut instinct?
I think in some instances that "gut instinct" is referred to as "Trading Psychology". Every trader needs to have a grip on it if they want to succeed. Though I must confess it isn't that easy controlling. It's like patience. Most traders lack the virtue of patience.
6349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: January 22, 2019, 09:27:23 PM
I hope Bitcointalk will start caring about its people ,there should be new moderators that can fish out bad projects on here to avoid wasting time of bounty hunters ,and about KYC ive come to think of it as many bounty hunters don't like KYC I'm sure if Bitcointalk is the one asking for KYC so as to limit frauds and multiple accounts bounty hunters won't complain, we will follow the rules ,but first 'SAFE US FROM BAD SCAMMY PROJECTS' ,no matter how wise we investigate a project they end up been scam ,scammers are getting wiser as well.looook at desico for example Shocked Can anyone tell me if he/she knew Desico is a scam from day one? I guess not
Your observations and suggestions are in order. It used to be a great concern to me until I found a way around it. Just follow projects managed by trusted BM. That's all. I mean, it's disheartening to work and at the end get scammed by unscrupulous companies and their teams.
6350  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do in 2030? on: January 21, 2019, 09:09:09 AM
2030?

That's like donkey's years from now and we all seemed to have forgotten one thing we don't control - LIFE.

Life first before we ask for years we can't give. What does it matter if you have the year but you aren't in good health? It's a waste. We should be saying, "By God's grace", if am alive till then I will do this and that, hypothetically. For me, I should be retired then and reaping the dividends of my hard work now.
6351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ExMarkets Cryptocurrency Exchange on: January 21, 2019, 03:17:30 AM
I would say this is bad timing when you put into cognizance the recent hack at Cryptopia, a relatively secured exchange at that. OP, what are the assurances that yours won't be "hacked" and we get the same foul play also?
6352  Other / Off-topic / Re: A KYC database sold on the Darkweb ? on: January 20, 2019, 07:53:18 PM
Just one of the many reasons why I don't do KYC verifications. I don't expect people to learn anything from this though because It seem like people don't care about their privacy as long as they don't have to put extra efforts to use the forums or P2P platfroms to trade instead.
I have often expressed this concern with bounty and signature campaign managers who expose the email addresses of their participants too. At a time I had to take it up seriously with one of the top managers here before he then had to hide that column. Sometimes, we are helpless in a situation like that. Imagine bounty managers even introducing KYC to an ongoing bounty midway into the project. We often see this with bounties managed by inexperienced managers, anyway.
6353  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin from Devil or from God? on: January 19, 2019, 05:50:14 AM
Bitcoin was from Satoshi Nakamoto as history records it. OP could still ask where Fiat is from or any other veritable online investments.

Well, if OP had raised this irrational line of thought in 2010-2011, it could've had a FUD impact. But I am not sure anyone gives a rat ear now. We are in it for good!
6354  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Buzzfeed: Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress per docements on: January 19, 2019, 05:33:31 AM
First off, I think Cohen should be held responsible for his actions, whether there are claims of Trump asking him to lie or not. So, if Trump had asked him to chop off his own hand he would do it? Again, I think there is more to it than what the buzzfeed is letting out. The White House has a lot of skeletons that there aren't letting out yet.
6355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Soft Language: Tautological Replacements on: January 18, 2019, 07:53:32 PM
There is something called "Euphemism" in literature. It's a better way of expressing a bitter truth. Even though it still doesn't obstruct the intrinsic meaning, it does help the impact to be mild. Soft language is valuable. Otherwise Americans would be free to call Mr. Trump an idiot right to his face. But they do have a soft way of saying it.
6356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old coins vs new coins on: January 18, 2019, 07:42:11 PM
old coins: coins that went through the bull run
new coins: are ICO tokens from projects during the bear market, mostly not listed on exchanges.

It is obvious that all the aspect of the space had struggled due the giant force of bitcoin. Over the past year the average dump in price of most of the old token/altcoin from the last bull run is close to 90% while the new coin are holding to their price. Most ICOs in the later part of 2018 decided to postpone the listing which their decision could be justified or condemned as the market revives.
With the approaching news of bull run and present the value of altcoins,
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?
2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?
3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?
Whether old or new, does it matter really? Who remembers Bytebal? It used to be the next big coin in price to Bitcoin in 2017 It went  as high as over $1k. Anyone can check the current price at CMC. It's really nothing to write home about.
6357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin tied to USD? on: January 18, 2019, 01:17:27 PM
The OP was done 7years ago but he must he a seer, a Nostradamus of a sort. I think we have the dollar altcoins now -Tether and the rest of them. Again, while bitcoin suffers the impact of the market, its blockchain tech thrives and has been adopted by several big firms.
6358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to unshared bounty tokens? on: January 18, 2019, 03:46:58 AM
I should think that the right thing would be that the unshared tokens would be the possession of whoever is holding the token distribution, either the BM or the project company. We should also realize that having the tokens left over may not have com planned. There are cheats everywhere. The social media is a terrible place.
6359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to withdraw 1,000,000$ in BTC? on: January 17, 2019, 03:19:09 PM
Some exchanges allow as much as 100btc withdrawal with 24hrs once you have your verification through the second stage. Wth that you can easily do your $500k - $1mil within days without stress. After all, there is a limit to daily withdrawals even with the bank ATM cards.
6360  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia - ONLINE ARTICLES related to hack & theft of funds 2019 (non discussion thread) on: January 17, 2019, 08:45:19 AM
I am strongly of the opinion that whenever an exchange hack happens, there are insiders and staff who might have compromised information. This is the case with Cryptopia. I really don't care how anyone argues otherwise. This is my 2cent.
