6361  Economy / Economics / Re: Ron Paul: All Bubbles Must Pop, the Sooner the Better on: December 24, 2018, 10:33:50 AM
I agree with this statement. Bitcoin manifests itself as a financial bubble and in this regard is also no exception. This has partly happened throughout this year. The fall of Bitcoin to the current price had a very sobering effect on those who unconditionally believed in its constant rise in price. Now it is hardly possible to repeat this situation. Bitcoin holders will already partially withdraw their funds from Bitcoin, if it again begins to rise sharply in price. At the same time, its price should already fall rapidly. Thus, the bitcoin bubble will no longer grow so quickly.

Of course, if you have experience how trading works, everything won't go on a parabolic rise, including cryptocurrency. That's why the madness in December was so deafening because majority of us have seen the bubble and obviously it needs to be busted.

And now the whole year bear market has proven time and again that it's a cycle so I do hope that we all learn our lessons well and be prepared for the next coming years.
6362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the ETH reach $300 end of 2018? on: December 23, 2018, 10:14:29 AM
for the end of 2018 it doesn't seem like, I see ethereum this year trying to get back to $ 200 is very difficult and I think they will be able to do it next year

Right, most probably around $100-$120 would be the price ETH will reach before the end of the year. But don't be discouraged though, its still a perfect buying opportunity. Just imagine buying just 1 ETH today and then let it grow to x10 (its previous all-time-high), then that's a lot of profits.

Might takes years though but I'm sure it's worth a gamble at this point because we all know that ETH has still a bright future ahead.
6363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which platform is best for Trading? on: December 23, 2018, 03:00:16 AM
I also start with a $100 as my trading capital, so I guess a .01 BTC can also be used for starters just to play around the system. But consider that .01 as a lost already so that you won't get disappointed at the end.

But at least that .01 will really give you a lot of lessons on trading and it's just a little amount as compare to the knowledge you can gain and the potential profits you can earn in the future.
6364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin - are we hitting the highest value? on: December 23, 2018, 02:50:33 AM
It looks like the Dogecoin price finally started showing very bullish momentum starting this week, being stable for some time. Ranked 20 with a trade volume for the  past 24 hours $31.60 M USD.

Well doge has been stable in the last couple of years, and seems to be just have a longer staying power than its contemporaries.

Over the past 24 hours, there has been another strong 16% increase. This has pushed the price to $0.002479, although there may be a dip to $0.0023 in the coming hours. There is also a 9.6% increase in Bitcoin value, which further seems to indicate the uptrend might remain in place in that department. It is also the first time in a while one DOGE is valued at 70 Satoshi or more.

This is just another pump and should be good for short term profit though. We're still far from a bull run so everyone is doing short including bitcoin and doge.

Well, at some point, good news for HODLers.

I guess it's really a welcoming news but nothing to celebrate so its better to continue HODLing.
6365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will SEC approve BITCOIN ETF ? on: December 23, 2018, 02:33:51 AM
Nop, ETF will not be approved any time soon, only possible scenario when it is approved is when regulation is starting to role in.

I'm also under the impression that a Bitcoin ETF will likely put some confidence in the market again, however, a ETF has also its cons so I guess the community is still divided whether we really need ETF as this point or left bitcoin continue to exist without any custodian because it will really defeat the purpose of bitcoin in the first place.

So I'm also not thinking of a scenario of a Bitcoin ETF approval anytime soon, although its possible but probably it will take years before SEC gives the go signal, just sayin'.
6366  Economy / Economics / Re: Breaking: Harvard, Stanford, & MIT Have All Invested in Cryptocurrency Funds on: December 23, 2018, 02:23:56 AM
the big universities above are well-known and they recognize the potential of crypto and they have provided their funds for investment and this with the calculations and analysis they make, why are we still hesitant to invest in the decisions they make where they can better analyze and predict market trends are even better

Yep, those behind the university really knows a thing about crypto specially the positive benefits it can bring to them specially as a long term investor so it makes sense to get in while the price is at a discount.

Who knows, there's a lot of university not just in the US but globally who are secretly investing their funds into crypto because of the potential of growing their money in the future to help university to have better facility to their students.
6367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid these things if you want to earn good amount with Bounty campaigns. on: December 21, 2018, 01:27:53 PM
very good advice, many people who carelessly participate in many projects at once without paying attention and reading about the project and in my opinion it is a very fatal mistake

It's because bounty campaign has been look by majority as a job, that's why they created multiple accounts joined multiple bounties without doing any research on the project itself.

So sometimes its a hit but most of the projects lately turns out to be a scam and its too late for a campaigner to realised that so it's already a waste of time and they need to reset and go on the next campaign. This can be avoided if you do some due diligence and common sense as well.
6368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People with most bitcoins should be in their 20's by now on: December 21, 2018, 01:13:58 PM
Bitcoins have been over a couple of hundred dollars for more than 5 years now. Kids can only get so many by mining. Don't imagine too many teenagers have 10+ bitcoins without family help in getting them.

Bitcoin is maturing, and so are its holders.

Alts are probably a different story

There could be few people in their 20's who have invested in bitcoin or crypto in general. They're exceptions as majority of people who are here are probably older and have been in different markets such as in stocks or golds.

And for those who are in their 20's? You are very lucky because crypto has so much offer and you being so young and have been in this market as early as today, you can be filthy rich by your early 30's.
6369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves are going up on: December 19, 2018, 07:10:50 PM
Not just Waves but everything is going green as of the moment, so if anyone has some stash or bag of Waves right now then its a win situation for you. So you can either sell a few in order to book a profit or just wait till the price spike a bit higher, its your choice.
6370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will the bull run return this December? on: December 19, 2018, 07:03:39 PM
Last year we had a great run. Despite the downs in the beginning of this year, I still believed that by the starting of October, the will be a good run, but I don't see anything of significant improvement. What do you guys think?
Looks like we are at the beginning of the bull run but not sure yet until it happens, but it looks like most of the crypto currencies were made 10% green and more so we can bag some profits now if you invested earlier this day.

I was about to say that, but it's too early to say if this is really a bull run or just a bull trap. But it's good to see that finally we have making some gains, specially the top coins in the market. We have similar pumps like year, specially the altcoins market but the spike we have seen in the last 2 days or so doesn't mean that this is the start of a bull run, in my opinion.
6371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth <100 $ on: December 18, 2018, 10:04:40 AM
Every single coin on the market experience difficult times right now, because of the current market conditions. I hope this big fall will end soon, because we are currently losing a lot of people and if there would be no bull run it will get pretty difficult to attract new audience/

All the people who left will return very quickly when they see a turnaround in the market. This happens every time when the market starts its rapid growth, and the stronger and faster the growth, the more people come to the market, both old and new.

I agree, I'm sure that they'll be the first to jump on the bandwagon again if ever they see the price of ETH recovering to $100-$200 is short amount of time. Its just sad to see the state of ETH as of the moment, but it's still have the full back-up of a lot of investors, they're just waiting for the perfect time to to enter the market and push the price once more.
6372  Economy / Speculation / Re: How/Why to Buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: December 18, 2018, 09:55:17 AM
I will not just make it simple, I will not be buying bitcoins anymore in 2019 because I have been accumulating this year.
2018 is a year for major correction and we have seen it happening, but 2019 is gonna be a road to recovery, bull run will come and new ATH will cause FOMO.

You mean to say 2018 is the period of accumulation and then 2019 is getting the profits just for holding our coins, yes it makes sense in a long term holder perspective. But as you can see, majority didn't have that kind of mindset, they just continue to short bitcoin even today but for smart investors, going long in the best strategy out there.
6373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A transfer of 249.999 BTC happened just now, really amazing on: December 18, 2018, 09:42:48 AM
The move doesn't do mean anything to the market, most probably trading exchange moving their coins to a safe location or its just a big whale who just accumulates since the price is really ripe for purchasing big amounts of bitcoin. Sorry to burst the bubble but we won't see a spike in the price as you have speculating.
6374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bright future for Ripple? on: December 18, 2018, 12:17:29 AM
I still have high hopes for XRP!

Since XRP is not really a cryptocurrency and it's also centralized, it has plenty of enemies.
However, it's an interesting speculation tool  Smiley
There are many good news in XRP world, but somehow XRP was always surrounded by good news, some real, some not.
So while I also expect XRP rise (I actually expect all crypto start rising soon enough), you better be careful with those news, some may be just a trick for short lived pumps.

Exactly. Thanks to the fact that inexperienced users can see the amazing future in XRP, speculants and traders can earn quite a lot on it.
Unfortunately sooner or later this bankster toy will end badly ..
Ripple is different from most other coins. But there is an advantage that Ripple has that they have good connections to the government. They form various collaborations officially and that can be a positive point. In my opinion, each coin must have a positive side and also a negative side. I hope Ripple can compete and gain much better trust in the cryptocurency world.

In some way, XRP of course have own advantages, similar to advantages of all other fiat money at the moment. However, this is absolutely against the principle of decentralization, so it is a completely different financial product. Comparing cryptocurrencies to Ripple is almost like comparing cryptocurrencies to fiat money.

That's one drawback of XRP that people are seeing, specially crypto enthusiast 'purist'. They don't like to invest on a coin which is not centralized and has the backing of a lots of banking elitist around the world.

But I guess those banks will really take advantage of XRP's technology and investors we is smart will just ride the waves no matter what and take advantage of the money to make out of XRP market.
6375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto trading - Is now the time to get in? on: December 18, 2018, 12:02:21 AM
Thank you for all of your responses.   Some great advice.

I think a long-term play is probably the best idea for now.

Yes, just enjoy buying coins right now because they're cheap and keep it for a long time. Just be sure though that don't put coins in a exchange but rather in a wallet that you have total control of your private keys specially if you're thinking holding for about a year or so, just saying.
6376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV? on: December 17, 2018, 11:55:23 PM
Bitcoin SV could be interesting only in short term for short time speculation because Bitvoin SV is going to have almost same hashpower as Bitcoin Cash, so there is possibility that Bitcoin SV can overtake Bitcoin Cash.
Like a few other coins, it turns out SV only makes more surprises for a while. Because at this time it dropped to 9th place. And I really didn't want to be interested in SV from the start. There is a small chance that this BCH fork will go up again, but it may still be waiting for time.

Lol. Bitcoin Cash ABC plummeted after the fork so is SV. So I don't think it will be a good investment in the long run. People behind already cash their profits so I don't know if it still have the future and needs more time to regain what it has lost.

I guess those people behind just wanted to pull back the price of bitcoin so that they can invest and make more money, more of a ploy because we all know that either of them are not to be trusted.
6377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today is 1 year since Bitcoin price reach its ATH (~$20,000) on: December 17, 2018, 10:47:58 PM
How time files. Last year we are in a different atmosphere and members here are very lively and happy to see the price reaches ATH and everyone enjoy their holidays with a lot of money in their pocket.

So I guess what we can do is put 2018 aside and learned lessons from this bear market. So patience is the key here, we need more of it because we really don't know when we are going to hit ATH again.
6378  Economy / Speculation / Re: We must work together to crash the price of all coins on: December 17, 2018, 10:35:29 PM
We already got a lo of bad press already that drives the market price down. And by the way, this is a free market so anything goes. So its going to be difficult to collude with others for the purpose of crashing the price not unless you're a big fat whale swimming in the crypto sea. But I doubt so please stop with this non-sense idea of yours.
6379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hard fork (constantinople) on 16th january 2019 on: December 15, 2018, 11:58:47 PM
I was not aware that there will be a ETH hard fork. But I guess the devs really need to do it to salvage was has left with ETH right now because the price has lost so much value in the last 10 months alone.

But I don't think this will be effective though, we have seen a lot of fork coins not being successful in the long run like BCH, hope though that I'm wrong.
6380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Panic! on: December 15, 2018, 11:38:09 PM
this is a game of psychology and panic will be present when prices fall very deep, only users who understand about the market will dare to take resiki hold because if you sell now then the big loss for you and when there is a recovery price you will be more sorry

Agree, there's no need to panic and sell your stash because we might see the price going on a recovery phase next year, so I would just rather hold and buy more and wait for the reversal.

I guess for others, they're too emotionally attached that's why they can't make a good decision and whenever they see the price going deep, they immediately sell off without rational thinking.
