6361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is there still FUD in 2021? on: May 17, 2021, 02:58:52 AM
Don't really expect FUD to stop existing any time soon. Especially knowing that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are such a "bizarre" and new concept, having both constructive and non-constructive criticism are pretty much inevitable.

I mean, even Amazon has criticisms in an investing perspective.
6362  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate Tesla has sold their coins on: May 17, 2021, 02:08:34 AM
There's a possibility. I mean,

Making such move makes ZERO sense though. Selling bitcoin just because you had beef with the community? Bro. I also sold my Amazon shares because my $AMZN shareholder neighbor called me a twat. smh Roll Eyes
6363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: General noob BTC/Altcoin buying question on: May 17, 2021, 02:04:14 AM
Such thing shouldn't happen. Because when you set a limit/market buy order, your order should be buying at the best price available. Whereas, if there's a sell price at 0.52 USDT, unless you don't completely drain out the whole offer down to 0.501 USDT, your 0.050 USDT sell offer should remain untouched.
6364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Current Market Cycle Analysis on: May 17, 2021, 01:57:43 AM
What on-chain data needs to be referenced though? The recent fiasco between Bitcoiners and Elon is a community thing, not necessarily a problem with the system.

In Elon's defense, the Bitcoiners on Twitter are definitely a bit too hostile. But in the defense of the Bitcoiners, Elon's arguments are pretty ehhh, "look guys I know Bitcoin because I created PayPal". Even though knowing about traditional finance doesn't automatically mean you know blockchains.
6365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi Global, Kucoin and Gate.io? on: May 16, 2021, 05:08:31 PM
KuCoin is pretty reputable, but we really can't comment on security. Because exchanges are exchanges, and exchanges get hacked hence why you shouldn't leave funds in them for long periods of time. https://cryptosec.info/exchange-hacks

As for AML/KYC, the last time I used it it had tono KYC(last year), so there's that.

Edited my typo
6366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DogeCoin will Flip Bitcoin on: May 16, 2021, 04:53:56 PM
If Mcdonalds and  Stabucks start to accept Dogecoin and present it throughout all their shops worldwide. Would it flip Bitcoin?
I think yes because after it tons of other merchans will accept doge and it can easily flip bitocin.
No. Because it would be utterly stupid for any merchant to accept DOGE and not bitcoin. It's as stupid as not accepting USD on airport currency exchanges.

Also if you look at the last 7 days Dogecoin is stable on the 0.5.
It became a stable coin.
It's been in the 0.5-0.54 range for only literally 3 days.

Elon musks says he woks with dev to impove it.
404 developers not found

Bitcoin electricity/techonlogy sucks.

I can see Dogecoin the meme coin flips BTC.
You're trashing Bitcoin's technology yet you don't even know how a stablecoin works.

Seriously though, posts like this might be a signal that we're nearing the top of this cycle lol.
6367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What'sa good alternative for USDT? (Searching for good stablecoins) on: May 16, 2021, 04:49:23 PM
Secondly USDC can be used in so many exchanges but BUSD appears only in Gate.io and Binance if memory serves me right. Imagine if Binance got shut down, where would you take your BUSD to?

It's on Poloniex and on India's WazirX as well; though liquidity on these exchanges are like shitcoin-levels low. And when I say shitcoin-levels low, I mean page 2 on Coinmarketcap low. Definitely not something you'd be confident in holding.
6368  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor One/ Trezor Model T questions.. on: May 16, 2021, 03:40:18 PM
Yes you can. Because the 24 word seed is a back up in the first place.

Just to note though, have you only written down the 24 words on a piece of paper and NOT store them on a txt file, an email, or anywhere digital? If so, you definitely want to generate a new wallet for security purposes.
6369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what are you investment strategy on: May 16, 2021, 08:40:50 AM
Simply dollar-cost averaging[1] bitcoin. One of the best risk:reward strategies that people don't like using just because it's boring. I simply use this strategy, and focus on other things like business and learning new skills. I like to short-mid term trade altcoins occasionally though.

6370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginning of FUD propaganda war? on: May 16, 2021, 06:20:21 AM
What you mean "beginning"? LOL

I think what OP meant by going to "war" is Bitcoiners actually fighting in retaliation not through the typical forum or social media posts, but through one of the mediums that big media businesses are using — documentaries.
6371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Add Gmail On Bank Card on: May 16, 2021, 05:30:20 AM
I once gave some money to someone with a coinbase. And I sent it to her Gmail as a transaction. So where did she get that money?
Uhm.. from you? Because you just said that you sent her the money? I don't get it.

And how did she use it? I'm curious to know.
She registered a Coinbase account just like you, and the money was sent from your Coinbase account to her Coinbase account. It's that simple.
6372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Add Gmail On Bank Card on: May 16, 2021, 04:03:29 AM
I am not a Coinbase user, but afaik, sending bitcoin to another Bitcoin user will require mining fee but unless the person you are sending to is also a Coinbase customer, if the recipient is a Coinbase user, you will be able to send to the person using email for free. I hope someone that is using coinbase will be able to tell you how to do it.
I think I get it now. So OP is referring to Coinbase<->Coinbase transactions.

I want to know how the transaction is done in email. What is the process
The transaction is not done through email, it's just that you can send funds to other existing Coinbase users using their email. Also, it's not an on-chain transaction as you would make which has transaction fees. It's just easy and free because Coinbase<->Coinbase transactions are merely just change of balance numbers on Coinbase's database.
6373  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Add Gmail On Bank Card on: May 16, 2021, 03:43:06 AM
But in Coinbase we can do transactions through Gmail.

Can someone expound on this? I'm not sure, but I doubt anyone can make Coinbase transactions through email(besides transaction verification à la 2FA).
6374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginning of FUD propaganda war? on: May 16, 2021, 02:57:40 AM
Not sure such thing is necessary. While I'd like some FUD counter attack content for the newbies, if such a documentary would be fully funded by Bitcoiners, then I could already see the counter-argument from the FUDders — "the documentary is propaganda because it's fully funded by Bitcoiners".
6375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about this Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2021, 02:54:36 AM
The others aren't even "real" bitcoin. Those are just sort of wrapped synthetic versions of bitcoin on other networks, so DeFi people can somewhat use bitcoin for collateral on "DeFi" platforms.

is this legal?
How is it not? You think Satoshi will sue them? Tongue
6376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's future (and BTC in Kuwait!) on: May 15, 2021, 01:01:36 PM
My question is: How will BTC price increase in value if people are buying it as a store of value (as opposed to using it on regular transactions?)
If anything, people buying bitcoin as a SoV is actually better in terms of price increase because it takes coins out of the markets. In contrast to using BTC for payments whereas with most payment processors, the BTC is automatically sold for fiat the moment the transaction confirms.

And why are Kuwaiti's buying BTC when our currency is the top in the world? It just makes no sense to me  Huh
Because no matter how good/bad your currency is, it's still in the firm grasp of your government and can be inflated at will.
6377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Traditional currencies vs Crypto currencies on: May 15, 2021, 08:39:08 AM
Absolutely correct in third world countries like mine banking system are down several times a day. You cannot blindly rely on them. But, congestion in cryptocurrency networks like Bitcoin is also an issue. But, you have other blockchains that can transfer money in a second and also at a cheap fee. Cryptocurrency is the only solution, you cannot deny it.

Oh sure, mempool congestion is definitely not great especially when you need to move money asap. It's just that at the very least, you can still send out bitcoin, just at a higher fee. But not totally 100% barred as with banking/online banking when they go down for whatever reason.
6378  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Freewallet or Atomic Wallet? on: May 15, 2021, 12:28:43 AM
If entering the phrase keys to another non-custodial wallet work, then why people send their coins between the wallets?
I meant to be personal transactions.
For example, Trust Wallet doesn't support some coins staking, but Guarda Wallet does.
It's either:

1. They're totally unaware of the option to export and import private keys between non-custodial wallets
2. They simply send out the funds to a new wallet for a new set of private keys. Basically for security purposes

I enter my phrase keys into the Guarda Wallet and start staking. Is it OK?
In theory, it should be ok. But I personally wouldn't be comfortable with importing my wallet's private keys in multiple wallets; unless it's a hot wallet.
6379  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Traditional currencies vs Crypto currencies on: May 15, 2021, 12:16:55 AM
The two examples are a bit over exaggerated to be honest. There are many cons to the current banking system, but let's stay fair.

I have never experienced in any of the banks where I have accounts that the systems are down, I wasn't able to send a payment, or couldn't withdraw money from the cashier's desk.

This is mostly a "it depends where you're from" thing as far as I know. Especially if you're from the more well-developed countries like the United States, these kinds of problems are probably rare as hell. Where I'm from, I can't even count how many banking service disruptions I've experienced already, and that's just with me having a bank account for more or less 2 years. I'd imagine it would most probably be far worse in poorer countries.
6380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin location Where? on: May 14, 2021, 11:29:52 PM
Man you've been criticizing Bitcoin for a while and you don't know the answer to this lol.

Pretty much what Welsh said. One reason why Bitcoin is great, is that people worldwide has a copy of the Bitcoin blockchain on their computers/servers. Hence, it makes it virtually impossible for anyone to take out the network because that certain entity would need to shut down and kill every single device(9000+[1]) worldwide that runs a node.
