I really love this "it's clear".
One thing bitcoin taught me is that you cannot say anything for certain.
6383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are they scamers?? on: November 26, 2013, 11:52:21 AM

6385  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Play a game as my referral - Earn up to 1 BTC! on: November 26, 2013, 11:47:03 AM
Don't you realize, that if everyone on this list reaches, and accomplishes all of the requirements.
That's over 50 BTC or $40,000. No one would ever pay that much for a bunch of referrals,
for a game like golden-towns.

Its almost certainly a scheme, of getting tons and tons of referrals for self benefit.
And then running away.

I am surprised 50+ people signed up without even thinking about this situation.

There are a few people who signed up attracted by the gains in the actual game , that made the scheme even more attractive.
6386  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Play a game as my referral - Earn up to 1 BTC! on: November 26, 2013, 11:45:58 AM
Get the pitchforks and level his golden town to the ground.
I barely know how the game works, but it would be really funny if we were all able to band together and go to war with him!

You can always occupy his town and get 10% of his income as tax.
But he has a slight advantage right now , from what he earned by this scam , so without actual money invested you won't be able to take him down.
6387  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Earn 0.0005 just for viewing a couple of pages! on: November 26, 2013, 11:43:51 AM
So , did anybody get paid? Cheesy
6388  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GoldenTowns.com - Get Paid to Play - Signup/play Bonus - UP TO 1.12 FREE BTC on: November 26, 2013, 11:41:51 AM

6390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Electronic Currency That Could Save The Economy - And It's Not Bitcoin on: November 26, 2013, 11:38:38 AM
As everyone in the Bitcoin community has already proven, any tom dick, or harry can make a new cryptocurrency.

I warned all of you about this a long time ago, because all you're doing is showing the Govt that they can easily make their own.

But hey, everyone wants to get rich, so now there's nearly 100 alt coins.  Woo hoo!  :/

Anyways ... old news ... Govt doesn't love Bitcoin.   They plan to make their own.

Trillions of dollars could be saved if the Govt switched to a cryptocurrency, and they're fully aware of that.

It doesn't matter if one government likes bitcoin or not. It is the market that will decide in the end. Don't underestimate the free market.
Also when you say that a government has any reason at all to introduce their own crypto coin it looks like you don't understand what a crypto coin is.

The moment the gov creates an alt coin and it advertise you can pay your taxes and it pays it's own men with that new crypto..
bitcoin users vs govcoin users 0-1 mil.

6391  Economy / Services / Re: Do you know, what jobs can earn bitcoin? on: November 26, 2013, 11:35:39 AM
Just get a normal job and convert the money earned in bitcoins.
6392  Economy / Economics / Re: I hoard bitcoin, and I spend too. on: November 26, 2013, 11:34:26 AM
You can't hoard and spend, it's pretty much either or!

?

no.

you can hoard some coins and with another wallet you can buy whatever you want (and you should do that if you like BTC and want support it)

so toddfletcher: thats good Smiley

It's like saving or your money in a bank account and spending your wife wage on booze.
And that is not quite "saving".
6393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Forbes article on bitcoin on: November 26, 2013, 11:32:31 AM
Why do all threads about bitcoin end up in pig-shitting and panda-shitting fiat?
I'm beginning to think that this love for bitcoin is actually a hate for fiat money.
6394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW DO I GAIN TRUST on: November 26, 2013, 11:26:52 AM
Thanks for your replies. Who do I use to escrow?

6395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why so many on: November 26, 2013, 11:24:22 AM
Clones always pop-up when something gets to the public.
Ebay copycats , Facebook copycats.
Also creating a crypto is quite easy and many think they are going to be rich with it by pre-mining it.
6396  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MtGox and Bitstamp price on: November 26, 2013, 11:22:31 AM
More and more people are switching to bitstamp, and with more money flowing into bitstamp (buyers) the price goes up.  Also people have probably figured out a way to arbitrage, which evens out the prices among the exchanges.
i

I thought that it is still very hard to withdraw Fiat from mtgox, which should both make arbitrage impossible, and keep the price of bitcoins higher there. Has something changed? Are the Japanese able to get Yen out of mtgox?? If that happened, it would be very interesting!

There are a few people who managed to get euros out of gox in less than one week time.
Also people who are waiting for 1 month and not getting any feedback.

But it's a free market , even if there weren't problems for any of those exchanges , price would still fluctuate between them
6397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Anyone Buying Bitcoins? on: November 26, 2013, 11:20:05 AM
FYI
inputs.io, bips, the australian and the czech exchange just got hacked,
that's 3 cases totaling around 9000btc in less than 2 weeks.
i would not risk buying at this prices even if it rises to 1000 or more
just look at the charts...

"hacked".
And I've seen worse than that.
6398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Anyone Buying Bitcoins? on: November 26, 2013, 11:18:24 AM
Well , I am .
Not large amounts (in Btc) but I still bought even during these last days.
6399  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: it's true there are scams in BTC but there are some really awesome ppl here on: November 26, 2013, 11:13:14 AM
so i run www.proxycoins.com
it's a P2P platform for buying things for others with your credit card and they repay you with Bitcoin.

i was hacked. just like so many other (and much better) systems. not awful, all in all about 1BTC damage (more luck than brains).
super annoying and depressing though, when you're building something new that's supposed to help the community

since there was a deal going on thru the platform, and a user already put the BTC in escrow, i told him i'm shipping his product anyhow - not his fault i got hacked right?

so this user, a price among man, offered to split my loss in the middle. effectively paying 150% on the product, sharing my loss just to support the system

really worms my heart. especially in contrast of the mother***ers who hacked and stole

thank you u great community you!

(posted it in reddit as well)

Let's see if the history repeats (i pray that you learned something for this and it doesn't really happen) and you end up loosing 1000 BTC.
This forum will eat you alive .
Of course it will be deserved.
6400  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want pay for my Education by Converting Bitcoin TO USD on: November 26, 2013, 11:10:45 AM
Thanks all for the overwhelming response.

Going by today's rate on MTGOX 50 coins($40,000) are sufficient to fund my education.

I am ready to pay taxes and follow all the rules. But I am from a country outside US.

Even if I convert the bitcoins into USD in which account will I get the money. Do I need to have a local bank account in US?

First of all I need to raise 50 bit coins. Where can I find some one or group of people who are willing to donate this much amount.

Oh , this made my day.
Really?Huh??
