Maybe he meant Attack Helicopter Membership. That should probably be a thing.

Chopper is a new one to add to the list of mispronounced ranks. My favourite is still Cupper Member.

There's plenty of Cupper Members, they just don't have a special title below their name.

----->I'm the real dudex22 I posted nothing about this FAKE alt coin.hacking accounts=SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!--BEWARE OF THESE ALTCOIN PIMPS......

You'd be interested to learn how they go about acting as professional spammers. Sorry your account got caught up in the mix. These people have no shame. They haven't even informed the projects that hired them that they are no longer bumping these projects to the top of the Alt Announcements thread anymore, as the system has been changed.

No doubt they are also scammers who professionally scam other scammers for a living. Their business will soon be dead, however.

MOST OF THE POST IN THIS THREAD ARE FROM IDLE ACCOUNTS Angry THAT SUDDENLY STARTED POSTING AGAIN AND THEY ALL SOUND LIKE THE SAME PERSON Huh

They are all part of a ring of spammers for hire called Vitor Services.

Their clients don't realize that their threads are no longer being bumped to the top of the Altcoin Announcements section per new changes implemented by theymos, the forum administrator

Thus, they are wasting their money. Sooner or later they will wise up to this fact and either fire Vitor Services or ask for a refund since they are no longer delivering what they promised.

Just imagine how frustrated Galileo must have felt.

You are not Galileo.

You took a pre-existing concept, slightly tweaked it, and now go around insisting it is the original thing.

Nobody has a problem with you starting an altcoin. Its the whole pretending its the "Original Bitcoin" thing that we don't care for. Its not working for Craig Wright. Its not going to work for you either.

We don't care about your particular definition of the word "cash," which is entirely subjective. Galileo's beliefs were rooted in scientific principle. Yours are rooted in ego.

Well that was fun. Think he's logged off, physically and mentally. He'll be back in another 3-6 months to show how little he's changed.

You are likely correct, nutildah.  Roger does not come around in order to actual interact.  He wants to pump out his various dumbass talking points and then disappear back to the slums from which he had come.

What's dumb is he took the opportunity to say nothing new. He just regurgitated the same tired talking points he's been yammering on about for the last 3 years. It's almost as if he is completely unaffected by Bcash's dismal failure as compared to BTC. He wants to pretend Bcash is cash while Bitcoin is not because it has lower fees. That's dumb.

If he wants to get technical about it, actual peer-to-peer cash transactions have zero fees, which renders EOS even more bitcoiny than bcash, according to his scale.

If he wants to get super technical about it, no bitcoin system is actually "peer to peer" since each transaction must be broadcast to the entire network and validated by miners before moving from one peer to the next. The Lightning Network is much closer to a "peer to peer" interaction than Bitcoin, or Bcash for that matter.

There is no MASS consensus - this ur private dream.

Of course there is. Its the community: the miners, the users, the merchants, the exchanges -- they have all came to the consensus that Bitcoin = BTC and everything else are altcoins. You are in the minority. You will always be in the minority. Don't reply to me until BSV has even begun to approach the hash rate of BCH.
6387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2019, 10:39:38 AM
Roger is on, go get your popcorns.  Grin

lol Roger... what an enigma. I'd love to know where he went so wrong. I actually think he has had some sort of mental break

He definitely cares about that red stuff. He went nuts when Carvalho said "bcash" too. He definitely cares about these. Go and break him.  Grin

That would be the scene to watch.

Well that was fun. Think he's logged off, physically and mentally. He'll be back in another 3-6 months to show how little he's changed.
6388  Economy / Reputation / Re: Roger Ver why is he red trusted? on: September 17, 2019, 10:33:14 AM
Please do the right thing and change the name of your coin.
Look in the mirror.  BTC isn't Bitcoin, a peer to peer electronic cash system.

Me: Why isn't BTC bitcoin then?

You: Because it has high fees that prohibit it from truly acting as "cash."

Me: But BCH also has fees.

You: Yes but they are very low.

Me: But it still has fees. They both have fees. Just because one coin has lower fees than the other does not mean that one is cash while the other is not. You are making an arbitrary distinction and using it as a semantics-based talking point which fails to detract from the fact that the broader community (users, merchants, exchanges and miners) has decided Bitcoin (BTC) is Bitcoin, and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is an altcoin.

If you wanted to appear more honest you would concede the fact that the community does not accept your premise, nor is it likely to in the future, and you would rename your coin so it is no longer possible for others to accuse you of engaging in deceptive practices.
6389  Economy / Reputation / Re: Roger Ver why is he red trusted? on: September 17, 2019, 10:01:47 AM
“Bitcoin is the chain originating from the genesis block with the highest accumulated proof of work. The Bitcoin Cash fork failed to gain majority, thus it is not Bitcoin.” - Erik Voorhees

If it isn't A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System it isn't Bitcoin. - Roger Ver

I know the trick you're relying on is using your personal definition of cash to suit your end goal. The fact that BCH has smaller transaction fees does not render it fitting of the definition of "cash" while BTC is thereby rendered "not cash." Either they are both "cash", or they both aren't.

You lost your battle in the hearts and the minds of the community a long time ago, as well as on paper.

Please do the right thing and change the name of your coin.
6390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is set in stone on: September 17, 2019, 09:21:04 AM
There is no doubt some ppl mixing up

COIN  (Ticker)

with

SYSTEM  (Protocol)

Language is guided by more than that. Definitions of words are created by mass consensus. The consensus is BTC is Bitcoin. It's always been this way.

You can continue - hopelessly I might add - to pretend that an alternate reality exists where this is not true, and the real world will continue to operate as it currently does despite your personal beliefs and preferences.
6391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2019, 08:12:34 AM
I've always guessed that JJG was a well-educated American....

Is that a dig at the american education system?

The guy is barely literate at times.

Long-winded and disjointed is hardly the same thing as being "barely literate."

Plus he uses too many American colloquialisms and idioms to be anything other than American.

I'd like to see an example of his writing that you consider to be "barely literate."
6392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is set in stone on: September 17, 2019, 07:47:59 AM
Sure a fork is technically an altcoin, but if the economic majority accepts it as the new bitcoin, then it will be bitcoin. Bitcoin is whatever people want it to be.

And you will be left with the bloated 1mb coin bag of the old coin, sitting at 1 cent price, wondering why you are wrong.

SymbolHash RateMarket Cap
BTC98.4 Ehash$183.8 B
BCH2.45 Ehash$5.546 B
BSV0.95 Ehash$2.178 B

There is no doubt about which coin "bitcoin" is. There never was. Its never been close.

As far as whether or not the laws of bitcoin are immutable I would say no, but its fundamental principles are. Bitcoin should be allowed to evolve just like any other technology. The idea that Satoshi got everything perfect in his first go is ludicrous.

How do you feel, for example, about nutildah, DarkStar_, and Pamoldar sharing the same avatar? (There are a zillion others, of course, but those are first users with paid avatars who come to mind who aren't complete shitposters.)

I'm touched that you think so highly of me, to be in the rarefied air of not being a complete shitposter, it brings a tear to my eye.  Cry

Note also that LoyceV and suchmoon were both looking for an avatar campagin to join at the time I proposed mine, so there's a good chance they would have ended up with identical paid avatars without my involvement.

I was part of the Merit Cycling Club for one sweet week, during which time I managed to trick c......unter into thinking I was Loyce, so it was definitely worth the effort. If you ever open a restaurant called The Merit Fountain let me know and I will advertise it for you.
6394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: September 17, 2019, 05:16:21 AM
Chub runs for one, Landry gets one and Mayfields runs one in.  30-13 browns win it.

Pretty close here, not bad! Browns are looking to have their best season in quite a long while this year.

Which is why I've updated the poll with their game for Sunday against the Rams. Gonna go out of my way to watch this one... Still haven't found a damn sports bar here that both

- opens early enough
- plays NFL games

I'd think there'd be enough Americans here to make that happen... Just gotta do a bit more exploring.

“Bitcoin is the chain originating from the genesis block with the highest accumulated proof of work. The Bitcoin Cash fork failed to gain majority, thus it is not Bitcoin.” - Erik Voorhees

This holds even more true today than it did a year ago when first stated, yet Roger's charade continues... Unbelievable.  Roll Eyes

I swear I saw  serveria.com message as the winner.

Yeah, but I can't prove it cheaters were quick to delete the posts...  Grin

On the bright side, you've still earned enough merit to be a Full Member. So congrats on that achievement.

Time to get yourself a hat!

Well, in other news, Roger Ver made an appearance on the forum today:

If someone buys BTC thinking it is "Bitcoin, a peer to peer electronic cash system" they are being scammed.

If someone buys BTC thinking it is "Bitcoin, a peer to peer electronic cash system" they are being scammed.

If somebody buys BCH thinking it is BTC, that's why people think you're a scam artist.

Why didn't you just pick a new name for your coin instead of trying to ride the coat-tails of Bitcoin? Its not too late to rebrand. Perhaps you'd be better off doing so.

Hah! Somebody must have deleted a post.

Sorry to severia if he was the actual winner, but looking at how things currently stand I had to pull the trigger for LFC.
