There is a T20 match between the Netherlands and the UAE ongoing right now at Amstelveen. Netherlands won the toss and opted to field first. UAE has made 8/0 after 1.0 over. None of the big names from Netherlands are participating (van Meekeren, van der Merwe, Cooper, Barresi, van der Gugten.etc), as they are playing county cricket in England.

Now I am seriously starting to wonder; what's the actual reason to keep starc out from this game.
When I first read about the news, I couldn't believe it. At first, I thought that Starc might have got some injury, and that's why he is not figuring in the playing XI. Only later I found from espncricinfo that he was actually "dropped". I don't understand. How can you drop your best bowler, and that too after a splendid performance during the CWC 2019?

We still have a long years to go before all bitcoin will be fully mined. This is just year 2019, we do still have about 121 years to go. Most of us wouldn't be around then when the finally block will be mined. This means miners are going to stay enjoying the benefit of mining bitcoin.
The final 1% takes over 110 years to arrive. That's either going to require a mind boggling price to attract people to a minuscule block reward or a ton of fees. Neither are in the bag so it's an ongoing question mark. Mining will go on, and transaction fee will make up for most part of the mined output. Right now, on average 0.5 BTC to 1.5 BTC in transaction fee are included in every block, in addition to the block reward of 12.5 BTC. The fee part will remain unchanged, if nothing catastrophic happens. So the mining will go on, and it will continue even after 2140.

Burns and Stokes are batting well and now only 43 runs left to chase and then put runs on board. Still it doesn't look they'll be able to put up more than 50 runs today with time running out depending on how many overs they can play. This time so many reviews were successful and umpires decisions were reversed.
Australian bowling lacks tooth. None of the bowlers gave an impression that they are capable of taking wickets. Both the pacers and the spinners were equally disappointing. Nathan Lyon looked like a grade quality bowler. On top of all this, just now they wasted a review after appealing for LBW. The ball pitched well outside leg stump and still they went for it. IMO, England will be in lead by the end of the day's play today.

4th gone now. It's Bairstaw. Burns on his 99, way to the century. England still have good chance to get 100+ leads however, some early wickets may restrict them behind as well.
This is interesting. Another middle-order collapse is getting triggered for England? Stokes now giving company to Burns, and England still trails by 81 runs. If the Australians can snatch the first innings lead (although it is very unlikley), it is going to be huge. There is depth in the English batting order, but of late, they are looking vulnerable to panicking.

I don't understand the OP. How can there be any war, when Hong Kong doesn't have an army of its own? The defense of the region is looked after by the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison (which is staffed by mainland Chinese). Even the vast majority of the cops are pro-China. The ordinary people may be against the Chinese administration, but they don't have much power.

They need to stop all this drama. They need to admit that they stole the world cup from New Zealand and move on. Billions of people were watching the match live and Stokes never asked the umpire to retract his decision. These shameless guys won the world cup by doing cheating and after that now they want to claim the moral high ground as well.

Pattinson just got Denly out. England is now 194/3, with Burns and Buttler at crease. The advantage with Australia is that they were able to get two quick wickets (Root and Denly). England is still quite a long way away from building a sizable lead. If Australia could restrict their first innings lead to less than 100, then it is going to be advantage Australia.

The England fans once again showed that they don't have any manners at all. After Warner got out, they insulted him by flashing sandpaper. Warner did something wrong and he got the punishment for that. But what right does England have to humiliate him like this? And that too after stealing the world cup from New Zealand. Without those 6 stolen runs by Ben Stokes, they could have never lifted the world cup.

I was just having my cup of tea and watching the ongoing Ashes series... a strange thought came to my mind.
All of us know that one of the main advantage with Bitcoin is that it can't be counterfeited. On the other hand, counterfeiting is a major issue with fiat cash. According to some estimates, the sale of counterfeits and pirated goods are worth $1,700 billion per year, and the sale of counterfeited banknotes is worth $250 billion.
Is it possible to use this technology to prevent the counterfeiting of bank notes? Don't tell me to install microchips on all the banknotes. We need to keep the manufacturing cost below $0.10 per piece. I thought about it for 2 hours, but no practical solution came to my mind. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Have you accumulated at least 1 BTC in your wallet?
Fortunately for me, I registered to this forum in early 2017, when the Bitcoin prices were below $1K per coin. I purchased 0.5 BTC back then, and was able to accumulate another 0.7 BTC worth of crypto (BTC + alts) during the next 7-8 months from various bounties and airdrops. I wish I had accumulated more back then, as now the competition has become tougher.

If cricket wants to grow in to a global sport, then it needs to adapt with the changing times. Test cricket is definitely not compatible with the current circumstances. Earlier people used to have a lot of free time, and it was possible to devote 5 days to watching a test match once a month or so. But life has become more hectic now and we need to popularize the shorter format of the game, if we want to attract more people.

|
Seriously we need to promote Test cricket and ODI instead of T20 and other format.
Definitely not!!! Test cricket wastes 5 full days and I have seen its impact where I live. Whenever India plays a test match, half of the working age males skip their work, and get themselves glued in front of the TV screen. In rural areas, the entire economic activity gets affected. If this is the case in Northeast India, I can imagine how much worse will be the situation in rest of India. T20 is somewhat better, since it gets over in 3 hours.

What will happen in case of a rain induced draw? For example, if a weak team like Sri Lanka or West Indies is playing against a strong team like Australia or India, and if the match gets washed out, how the points will be split? Giving both the teams equal points don't make any sense as far as I am concerned. IMO, the higher ranked team must be awarded a larger share of points.

I hope that we will see nice pump after it
The pump has already occurred. Against BTC, the exchange rates increased by 120% during January-April 2019. However, the coin lost most of its gain during the last 2-3 months, as the Bitcoin dominance increased. The prices have stabilized as of now, but if there is a lack of demand, then you can expect the exchange rates to go back to the previous levels.

I'm sure it was reported that Vinnik had gone on hunger-strike in protest about being extradited to the US to faces charges. I think he ended up in quite a serious condition and his legal team were fighting the extradition to the US.
Perhaps he is thinking that dying from a hunger strike is preferable to spending the rest of the life in some super-max prison without any possibility of parole. The Greek authorities haven't released any news about him for the past few months. But I don't think that Greece has the balls to refuse the extradition request from the United States.

So this mean that's Singapore can have good players from different countries and develop their own team. This may be unfair in certain terms. Also the under 19 cricket India and Pakistan players who are unable to make the national team can easily join the Singapore National Cricket Team.
How is this unfair? It is completely up to the player who they wish to play for at the end of the day despite where they are originally from. They take a risk themselves by facing criticism from their native countrymen. Its very difficult to get noticed among the plethora of talent in countries like India, Australia etc which is why they look for opportunities elsewhere and they have full freedom to do so at the end of the day. OK.. Will you be OK if the BCCI fields a playing XI which does not have any Indian citizens? Let's assume that India is playing against Pakistan and the BCCI has fielded a team that comprises of 11 Australians, with Australian passport. Do you think that the Indian public will support this team? Playing one or two foreigners is OK with me. But a playing XI not having any nationals is plain appalling.

Most of the followers for both Pacquiao and Mayweather wanted to hear another rematch plan for them. It seems to be hype creation to gather demand from supporters. Although we heard lots of statement coming from Floyd, which gives trash talks on the champ Manny. In reality they're not enemies but friends for real, but they're not showing it publicly just to preserve privacy for their career status.
We all want to hear it but let's accept the fact that this fight will not be seen anywhere in the future. Floyd has just expressed his retirement and he's aware that with the 2nd fight he's likely to retire with a lose. Floyd was challenged by Manny. He accepted the challenge and defeated Pacquiao. Now it is not right to badmouth Floyd. You can't say that Manny got defeated in the first fight and therefore you want another chance. If Floyd doesn't want to come out of retirement, then let him be. He worked hard for his 1 billion plus dollars, and let him enjoy that.

Next world cup to be held in India does not mean that India will win the world cup. I am hoping for Pakistan to lift the next world cup in the India ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Well, I really doubt that, after watching their recent performance. In order to gain a direct entry, they need to finish among the top-8 in the 2020–22 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. A total of 13 countries are taking part (12 test nations + the Netherlands). If they fail to do that, then they need a top-2 finish in the 2022 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Trust me, it is going to be tough!!!

Bangladesh have lost second consecutive match against SL and due to this they have lost the series as it was 3 match series and behind by 2-0 . Bangladesh will now to play for pride their last match and SL will like to white wash the series and end on a positive note .
It is a battle for supremacy. Sri Lanka were the world champions once, but their standards have come down by a lot (in part due to the civil war and the political uncertainty). On the other hand, Bangladesh has shown a lot of promise recently, but still they are unable to compete against the big three. India has cemented its place as the no.1 team from South Asia. Bangladesh will be aiming to become no.2, after displacing Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
