Bitcoin was the virtual currency of IT geeks and hackers. After the bitcoins began to buy housekeepers, children, janitors, postmen and even my grandmother, they became impossible to use. Some bitcoin users told me not to do transactions in these couple of days because hackers are active these days. I want to know is it true? or some kind of rumor? Anyone here who have faced such problem?
Hackers are everywhere. And with the current situation which is a bit confusing for most of us, they will take advantage like creating a fake websites for claiming free BCC. There is one user claiming that he lost 45 bitcoin by downloading a fake electrum wallet. Maybe he is rushing things up to get BCC/BCH. I would rather wait and see how everything goes before claiming my free coins. We need to be extremely cautious at this time. I would advise as well not to do any transactions especially getting BCH/BCC as the risk is too high to lost your bitcoin as well. Please help me understand in plain English how will we benefit from so many currencies?
I see so many startups with decentralized blockchain ideas with their own crypto currency.
Today I purchased oatmeal directly from a mill at their website.
This mill sells its products thru grocers and other online stores as well.
They probably gave 3% to the credit card company, which they could reduce by using blockchain.
But if every store and every business starts creating their own currency, then I will have to go thru an exchange to convert BTC or ETH to that coin to make some purchase.
Then we would need miners to process all those transactions in various coins.
Why can't they just use ETH? Just like all IPOs use dollars.

because it is easy to make it, so this is one strategy to commit fraud, with the number of coins available then they will be hard to distinguish real coins by fraud and some of them invest in fake coins. then they will incur losses. |

Guys what will happen if you accidentally lost the copy of your private key?..it's still possible to transfer your tokens to your other wallet using your wallet address..?? Does anyone know?..thanks in advance
If your private key goes in wrong hands then he may empty your wallet. And without pvt key no one can access your wallet not even you and you also cannot make transfer into new wallet. you will not get your coins anymore because to sell the coins you need a private key. so I'm sorry if that happens, because the results of your hard work will just disappear. |

Yeah you are correct a lot of people are joining the crypto world, but they dont know the risk they are taking when investing or when they join some ICO that they believe it will give them profit. Possible. Because transactions are anonymous and no one can see what is your identity. So possible transactions made with illegal activities can be done easy without revealing identity of both parties.

Just heard that Microsoft removed BTC payment from Microsoft store, also Master Card and Visa made some changes in their policies. It's easy to see that exchanges have more issues with fiat deposits then a year ago. And now I'm not sure that high traffic was caused for sign ups to be closed.
