Seems to be fixed now.

@ Hydroponica >> every sale is a buy.. So yeah, you need both. One can't only sell without anyone buying.

New page = new post

Quote
I'm posting this on every page so even the dumbest of dumb can see that lies are being spread in this topic about actual profitability.

  • CoinChoose bugs and uses difficulty 0.08708762 in their calculations.
  • Actual difficulty as shown in PWC Client: 1.02827
  • Mining is 1.02827 / 0.08708762 = 11.81 times more difficult than what Coinchoose currently shows

Using these numbers, the actual profitability can be calculated.

  • Coinchoose currently states PWC is 14.8 times more protitable (1480%) than BTC
  • Correction by factor 11.81 due to CoinChoose Difficulty Bug: 14.8/11.81 = 1.25
  • Actual profitability is 125%, NOT 1480%!

I wil update this post and repost it on every page until the bug is fixed, in order to stop people from spreading lies about profitability :/

i love this coin.  1400% profitability!

Are you actually too stupid to do maths or is someone paying you to be dumb and spread lies?
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PowerCoin PWC 1500%+ Profitability!! on: May 22, 2013, 11:02:55 AM

Its down again and it was indeed seeming like it was on a forked chain - this may NOT HAPPEN, pool operator!

Switching to another pool...

I believe coinchoose.com any day over you haters.

Lol do the fucking maths. Look at your client, it says "difficulty 1.02827"
Then look at Coinchoose, it says "Difficulty 0.08708762" <<-- This is obviously wrong.

Actual profitability is 0.08708762/1.02827 = 0.0847 the profitability of what Coinchoose now says. In other words, 11.8 times less profitable.

This gives profitability of 137% rather than 1623%

I just noticed Mt.Gox pulled their statements about the DHS involvement in their Dwolla account, both from their site and from Facebook. Anybody know why this is?

Yes. For instance I see no power supply at the slots, so unless you are going to use powered risers you'll fry the hell out of your motherboard.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Introducing Firecoin˛, an honest scrypt based coin. on: May 16, 2013, 09:57:43 PM
Zero connections. Other clients have no problems. I guess this one is built without UPnP support?

Have you opened port 9131?  I have 51 active connections.

That's what I meant with no uPnP support. On not a single client have I had to open any ports. I'm not going to permanently do so either, as it's a security risk. Just fix the damn client.
