to add to drama, Stanisic is on loan from Bayern to Leverkusen Smiley
I'm surprised he's able to play, usually players that are loaned out cannot play against their parent clubs. Somebody from Bayern's transfer team will be yelled at tonight.
I am actually respecting Bayern for that move and believe it should be a practice. If the player is not good enough for your team and you want to loan it away, that means you have 2 better players in his position. Then why limit his appearance? Always felt petty to me. Really hope Leverkusen lifts the trophy. They are playing some great football but Bayern is Bayern and nobody is foolish enough to write them off, even with 5 points goal difference.

I am talking about big clubs that aren't in financial troubles here. Not some money shenanigans loans.

I mismanaged the Haaland situation in literally every game of the season - which is proving to be extremely costly.

Well, I wildcarded to be ready for GW25 and to bring much needed changes to the team so no point in crying now I guess. Double GW without Erling, yay - looking forward to it. He will be triple captain literally to everyone but me.

And that is precisely the reason while I always have him in the squad when he is fit.

You can try and play without any player and it feels ok if you have good squad, except for Haaland. You just know everyone has him, everyone is giving him the captain and City will always make some opportunities for him. For instance I wasn't feeling bad about not owning De Bruyne for a second but I am not gonna make myself watch City play and not having Haaland in the squad.

I expect his effective ownership in DGW to maybe even get close to 200%. Among the active ones probably even something like 230%.

With the football season at its most sensitive stage by the time current season finishes we might be looking at a two weeks breaks max imo, and perhaps one more for potential new participant recruitments, that's if we'll be returning for the 4th season though.

I would also suggest a thread for participation for the 4th season to up already, but I understand the need to iron out the specifics concerning sponsorships and whatnot before doing that.
I was talking about that in the chat yesterday but I guess it was before you dropped in. 4th season is happening, it will start soon after this one finishes. Maybe one week break just to reset and pay out the rewards.

Thread for BSFL sign ups is always open. If you know someone interested tell them to sign up asap. It will help us organise 3rd division better.

I was also talking about that in the thread here. I guess we need to do some marking if you guys that are playing every week aren't aware of it   Grin

We gonna have signup payments for Division 2  and good payout rates too to make it more attractive and competitive from next season and few changes to Division 3

We still don't know. It's tough to balance the rewards - what we're doing now is making sure that every player gets at least something in return.
If we introduce an entrance fee to Division 2, we will probably continue with the same logic - a smaller fee that will at least be covered by end of the season reward.

Regarding the budgets - they won't be increasing in the following season. We think that we're in the right spot, so if we want to increase the rewards it will have to come out of our own pockets.

Trofo and I will have a more concrete discussion about this at the end of the season, and once we define S04 with Sportsbet as well.

The sponsorship budget is okay IMO - we simply have to sit out ass up; if we want a larger pool size, it's up to us. If we have the same awards for each position every season with no progress, the competitiveness will decrease, and some teams will become bored and drop out out. We're all gamblers, and we know that the bigger the risk, higher the return. Division 2 should not be free; it drains the reward pool.

We've talked about this and everyone was cool with you - Cryptofka why are you acting surprised?
I have one other idea how to cater for serious gamblers willing to put more money on the line. Did not have enough time to discuss it with cryptofrka yet so I will keep it a secret for now. Lots of details to think trough anyway and once I mention it the cat is out of the bag and difficult to put back in  Grin

I read some news about Diogo Jota that he couldn't join training because of catching flu however the source wasn't very reliable. Is there anyone who knows about this topic? By the way how many of you transferred Elijah Adebayo who is playing for Luton? Even though Luton have blank space on gw26 they have double gameweek on gw25 and gw28 both. I'm very regretful now for wasting my wildcard early.
I really hope that isn't true. I just transferred him in.

Rumors about flu in Liverpool are true for sure. I just didn't see any specific names mentioned. Will be though for me if Jota and VVD are out.

^  You're knee deep into football rn...  That's good to see.  Wink  I have been lazy about for a couple of years now.  The UFC and now this new airdrop meta going on in these new protocols being developed have caught my degenerate tendencies.  Cheesy  It's actually more fun than trading imho.

Anyway for this weekend's Majestic 7, my picks are Haaland, Solanke, Son, Wilson, Saka, Watkins and Ayew.  The common picks and it needs all the matches to come together to hit.
Not into football general, football Premier League Smiley Don't have enough time to cover everything I would like to.

Some picks I like but, Son is risky for me (just back from Asian Cup) as is Ayew. Not sure who I will pick tomorrow in those games. Probably Richarlison and someone from Chelsea.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: February 08, 2024, 07:26:54 PM
if Trofo with sportsbet.io will start a prediction pool for the new nations league season again, the respective groups were drawn today.
you can find them below - the first matchday will take place on september 05-07
there will also be a new game mode... Tongue
A new game mode? Something interesting? Do share. I am bit out of the loop since it is quite busy time for me in real life so some sports have to suffer. I didn't even know group draw is being made this early.

I guess there will be some sort of the pool, but starting time is terrible. Just after all major league have already started and Sportsbet will probably already have a sponsorship of all regular pools by then.

Noticed every ex-players now have podcast and YouTube channels where they criticize players for views and likes. Only few are going into management, the rest are just sitting in front of TV and giving advice. Lol
Some went into management and were not successful, so they rather sit with their mics and criticize managers and players alike. There are only very few pundits which I enjoy listening to regularly these days. The rest are desperately in search of headlines.

Most goals scored in a 10-game Matchday, and yet none of the top 5 goalscorers of the Premier League got on the scoresheet, what are the odds?

Well that statement is quite misleading and I for one would have gladly took that bet last round for high odds. Salah and Son weren't available to play, Haaland was just coming from the injury and West Ham has been missing Kudus and Paqueta very much in their attack so Bowen didn't even had good chances lately. That leaves only Solanke as legit shout and I expected him to get on score sheet against NFO but he did not in the end.

Game was postponed for some time as Union started throwing tennis balls to pitch. As I understand it was their protest, but does anyone know against what?

the reason for this is that the potential involvement of an investor in the german football league (DFL) is viewed critically by most organized fan scenes. they object to the further commercialization of football in germany and the potential influence of the investor.
it started with chocolate coins being thrown in front of the goal - now tennis balls are being used because they keep on flying...
Had no idea Union supporters were that loud and organized. Don't know the details about DFL but I guess they have good reason for doing so. Really respecting what Germans managed to do with their league. Full stadiums and healthy financial status should have much higher priority in football than it does.

4 points from this postponed game came handy for me to keep in touch with top positions.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: February 08, 2024, 03:06:46 PM
I couldn't see anything about merging Division 3A and Division 3B but if I missed it please correct me.  Smiley

If such thing happens I would like to have a rematch against you by preparing better this time.  Cool  First I need to talk to my players about where we made the mistakes the most.  Tongue
It all depends on the number of players we have for season 4. Division 1 & 2 are fixed on 16 players each, that makes 32 spots taken. Then we have to find best possible format to make do with all the remaining players. Though to call it before we have final numbers. We will try to make it in most fun way while making it last similar to higher divisions. In other words Div 3 must last around 15 rounds.

Applications to BSFL are always open. If somebody wants to be part of season 4 or if you guys know someone now is the time to apply.

If you are kicked from competition due to not submitting now is also the time to reapply. Just keep in mind that you will probably be required to pay "evil fee". Some amount of money (maybe 1 mBTC) that you get back at the end of season if you submit on time or you are donating it to rewards pool if you miss deadlines again. Details will be known in due time but if nobody wants to reapply than we don't need to even waste time on implementing the "evil fee" system.

Why is the Asian cup question in yellow color? @Trofo
In short, question is void since the game finished before the deadline and we had definitive answer. We also had a shitload of VAR usage on it so actual answers would have been much more predominantly no than what table actually shows.

There is about 2 pages of posts about that if you want more info.

Chelsea and their bullshit ways, of going extremely dead cold one matchday, and resurrected full of life the next always bothers me, it's as though whenever it comes down to them this season, football has nothing to do with form, and player availability, playing at home and whatnot, all you just need to do is flip a coin to place bet  Huh  Roll Eyes
Never thought they have any chance tonight. Especially after I have seen Palmer benched. Ah well at least it is good result for my FPL plans Smiley

New article is up:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/soccer/news/bitcointalk-sports-fanatics-league-round-13-recap

It is actually up for quite some time but I know nobody would read it if I don't post it here, so here it goes once again. Getting really close in these last rounds, tried to cover that as much as possible.

Note to everyone that has some BTC rewards coming their way. You all signed up with BTC addy so we are paying them there unless you explicitly tell us different, best way to notify me via PM. We plan to pay promptly, as soon as the cup finishes, all in one go. We will remind you at least once more and tag you all in that week but if you don't contact us don't complain you lost access to the addy or something like that Smiley

Ivory Coast have just taken the lead against DR Congo, that might possibly the last straw for me  Sad
And they passed the group with 2 points and -4 goal difference  Grin And sacked a coach after that 4:0 beating in the last game if my memory serves me right, too lazy too double check.

I had Nigeria ML on ticket and closed the stream after goal for 2:0 thinking it was over. Than I check a bit latter and they are shooting penalties. Ah well that is life, would have lost ticket later on anyway so no big deal but at that moment it was a shock.

With that, I will personally message all players at risk of being banned from BSFL next round. I simply think it would be a huge loss if the likes of bullrunbro and Saint-loup are missing from BSFL.
We can't stop you from doing that nor we intend to but just for the record. If we did that I am sure someone would complain why we are doing it now and not before  Grin
Tagging players when questions are live should be more than enough for serious participants.

By all means do what you intend, really don't want to go trough all the rounds once more so close to the deadline.

P.S. Anyone wants to watch entertaining football should see AFC cup semis. No one is playing to get to penalties. It's a damned shame this forum doesn't have enough people interested in that competition.
Not just forum. Sites like Superbru don't support it as well. That makes you think a bit, when you all the shit league they have competitions for.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 06, 2024, 08:16:18 PM
I have a good plan for the next 4-5 GW's, the only thing left to see for me is whether Salah returns on time for GW25. Won't make a difference if he does though, I think all the league will have him.
Not so sure about that. I am 99% sure I will not have Salah before GW30. And a lot of people are probably in similar situation. I would need to make 4 transfers to make the money for Salah and it just isn't worth it with two blanks and a couple of though fixtures after DGW. Only if something unexpected happens like Haaland injury or I decide to wildcard this or next week.

GW 23 winner is goodpunt with monster 104 points, congrats. Watkins, Foden and Richarlison all in his team definitely helped a lot.

I don't know why this should be voided,  if we didn't void answer for option when I player is on bench and later didn't play the match or even when a player wasn't even in the lineup and not on sub aswell,  like the case of last question when Jesus wasn't even played and its was counted,  why void this one . What then is the advantage and lucks we are talking about.  This question should never be voided for any reason since it was played .
Difference is that this happened before the deadline. Which creates unfair advantage to people from time zone similar to forum. And we purposely voided the question before opening the table. And this isn't up for discussion, bad situation happened and we tried to solve it in most fair way.

Personally I expected, that 90% will be on no. And we also received a lot of VAR requests for that one that aren't counted. I just mentioned the 3 I got and knew from top of my head while writing on the mobile.

660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: February 06, 2024, 05:57:38 PM
I didn't think I would be needing it, but here comes an unintended call..

VAR: I'm calling a VAR card to have my answer for the question No. 6 changed to the option "No", I'm submitting this at latest time possible for me, because you never know what the internet service here could have for you for 2-5 minutes sometimes  Cheesy
Not accepted, same goes for Slaman29 and Vivekdhayani who contacted me via other means and anybody else that wanted to use it on Korea question.

We will void Korea question since we feel it is a more fair route in this instance. Writing this after talking with cryptofrka and before opening the table and seeing the answers. Maybe we all answered No if the VAR was included so it was moot point but it would really be unfair to someone that is middle of the night at deadline time.

Edit: Just for the record I answered no, even before the game finished but I have seen stats of the first half before doing it so feel a bit robbed on this one personally.
