641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: January 29, 2018, 12:01:35 PM
I have been mining ZEN for the last 2 months with my 6x1080ti asus strix (asrock btc h81, 2xEvga 1000w g3), and 10 days ago it started crashing all the time, even the whole machine started restarting. I checked cables and changed all risers and still the sam. Then I took one card I suspected might be the cause of problems and put it on my desktop machine so I could check it solo. It worked perfectly for 3 days and the rest of the rig with 5 cards worked perfectly so I thought it might be that one of the PSU is having problems with supplying 3 cards. I cleaned all the components with air compressor and put the 6th card back and now everything is working perfectly for the last 5 days...
So...we should regularly clean our 1080ti's :-)

Can u please tell me how much power u get on power meter with all 6 cards running and do you have any power limit applied?
Did u noticed any temps rising or/and  rpm rising on GPU vents before the crash.

What temps are your cards giving after few hours of work.

Thanks

643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What PSU i need for 4x1060 ? on: January 29, 2018, 10:00:32 AM
I cant find Corsair psu because they said they dont have a product.
So can you tell is gygabite good?

Sure why not, neither Corsair or Gigabyte doesn't make their PSU all by themselves anyway.
Just take into account warranty, number of PCIe connectors and their length, also calculate that you have enough spare power so you don't torture your psu 24/7 on more than 70% of max power it can give you.

i think this one need a name change that have a better impact, like stakecoin or simply stake, sweepstake sound redundant, what do you think?

A namechange is one of the considerations.

#crysx

Is it possibile to reduce the max supply as well?

It is possible.

We have yet to really nut out anything with the coin except that we either need to fix the sweepstake code, or remove it and give the coin another direction, meaning we can change a number of things in the coin, including the cap.

#crysx

Reducing the CAP would attract more attention to SWEEP because current supply is really big  Roll Eyes /2,000,000,000

Would it be possible to predict time table for SWEEP remake (redesign, wallet, exchanges...)?
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: January 28, 2018, 06:49:40 PM

Ok, no... 8 GPU is OS (Windows) limitation not the motherboard. If you have used this motherboard then you would know that it does not POST (boot screen with company logo does not come) if you put more than 13 standard (non mining) GPU. Now, my post has shown that it can work.

Yes, 6+ rigs on vega need not be considered (due to power consumption and other reasons), but RX 500 or RX400, or NVIDIA's 1060, i would slap on 12 if not a 19 rig blindly to maximize PSU utilization.

Finally, reason why people are so pissed about this board is because Asus advertised this as 19GPU rig without making the terms clearly (terms where you need mining graphics card for more than 13 gpu).

As a customer people have right to return the product if they are not satisfied with it. Don't see why would people be pissed on Asus if they didn't read exactly what they are buying. Manual can be downloaded without any obligation and on page number 16 you have this picture:

Currently this board is on waiting list so  I am almost sure if someone returns his board it will be sold few hours later to someone else.

646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: January 28, 2018, 09:17:31 AM

Microsoft and Dell no longer accept bitcoin.

I know this will not make any difference because I ain't big counterweight to this giants, but I have started to accept crypto for any items I put in my local adverts.
What i want to say is the fact that if people recognise value in crypto then company's will adapt.

For example, I know a lot of people who wanted to buy some hardware with xxx credit card they have, but shop they come in didn't have that option, you know what happened? These people went to other more expensive shop because it gave them option to pay with the credit card they own. These stuff  can be related to crypto world also.

When company starts to lose money because they don't accept some paying option somebody in that company will react, simply because they will identify that as missed opportunity and lost money they could have on them.

647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: January 28, 2018, 08:46:54 AM
is this board worth buying it or go with the asus z270a with non mining card?

It all depends, so few things to consider

The price you can grab the board, cards you currently have, how many PSU you are planing to use and so on.
Put on paper how much it costs to have one big rig or two smaller ones.

If you already have some HDD, CPU, MEMORY to spare and you don't need to buy all the stuff, maybe 2 smaller rigs isn't so bad decision.
When problem occurs with one rig, other one is still mining, and problem will appear sooner or later, anyd you will need to experiment with faulty risers, unstable psu or something else.

So the answer is never applicable to all people, and cannot be best option for everyone.

648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: January 27, 2018, 05:46:07 PM
Still doesn't seem very viable because of the high fees for Bitcoin. I'd rather not pay $1200 USD worth of BTC for an item worth $1000 USD

How did you get that number of 200$ as a transaction fee?
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What PSU i need for 4x1060 ? on: January 27, 2018, 09:11:08 AM

That would be a great choice too and I think it is cheaper. The version with "i" in the end it means it is fully modular, I guess the x version is only semi or not modular at all. But for what you need it ,still it is perfect.

This are the differences between Rmi vs RM, and RMX is one step bellow RM

I don't get it, why call it similar to some other coin when we already have original name?
When the new wallet becomes available and things are put to motion name of the coin will not matter at all.

We don't need to reinvent the well this time....
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 01:27:58 PM
This are the latest news from the first page:

Dear Bitcore Community,

this is a quick summary of our two-day meeting from 12 - 13th of December 2017 @ Bodensee.

Open meeting
First of all let us thank everyone that came to the open meeting on December 12th. We had great discussions and we're happy you were able to meet with us on such short notice!
Special thanks to our host Fabian, he is an even more fantastic guy in real life than he is in the Telegram chat! If you ever consider staying near Bodensee, take a look at his gorgeous hotel: www.hotel-gierer.de
We made some great contacts that will help us grow Bitcore in the future.

Internal meeting.
The vast growth of Bitcore and the sudden increase of interest for BTX all over the world was overwhelming for our team.
We decided to restructure and rethink the way we approach all upcoming development to make sure we can meet the expectations and fully utilize the possiblities Bitcore's underlying tech provides.
Restructuring took some time and now we are back at 100%!

The team now gets direct support from more developers and people experienced with cryptocurrency project development.
We will release an official team announcement within the next 24h.

Roadmap
The Bitcore Core team has decided on a lot of important points regarding development and marketing for the future.
This is a sneak preview of things to come for BTX:

● New Website
This will contain a new and more in-depth structure and a redesign.
Including a new block explorer (independant from the current chainz explorer)
It will also contain our official roadmap with more points than listed within this statement.

● ATMs
Jon already released the pull request for GENERAL BYTES ATMs.
https://github.com/GENERALBYTESCOM/batm_public
We expect to hear back from them soon and already have several people ready to order once the latest software is implemented for their systems.

● More ways to sell and buy BTX.
Right now cannot publicly give specifics.

● Hardware wallet support
We expect to get support for Bitcore BTX on a hardware wallet soon.

Your Bitcore team

110% disagree.
The focus MUST be the to be listed on others exchangers, not all other bullshits can be done "overnight".
costs money to be listed? you have enough ( team) to do it instantly. make a vote, and you will see that exchangers will be the 1st choice.

Relevant exchanges cost money, ask people if they want to stop getting  AIRDROPS and instead be listed on exchanges with that money?
what's the hurry with exchanges? If someone is so eager to sell he already can on Cryptopia.

653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 11:40:30 AM
The volume on this coin has dropped ridiculously low. Bit-Z's volume is almost non-existent. LIke everyone says, we need more exchanges. What's the latest on this? Is anyone actively working on exchanges right now? There's a token that launched late last year called GVT. Within 1 week of launch they were listed on both Kucoin and Binance. Bitcore has been around for nearly 1 year and the best exchange that we are on is Cryptopia Huh WOW! The ball is definitely being dropped on this coin when it comes to exchanges. The team needs to figure out what steps to take to get us on additional exchanges, pronto. If the current person responsible for exchanges can't get it done, then we need someone who can get it done.

They have already said that in 2018 BTX will be present on at least one new exchange, and for low volumes...you see that complete market is currently silent. It looks kind of spooky to go down from 7 million USD to only 0.5 milion USD daily volume but you must admit price is holding pretty good with so much volume drop impact.

"In 2018 BTX  will be present on at least one new exchange"? Are you kidding me? "At least 1 new exchange Huh" We must really have low standards. Coins are launching and getting listed on 10+ exchanges within a matter of weeks and our goal is at least 1 new exchange in 2018? That is absolutely ridiculous. We should be aiming for at least 10 new exchanges in 2018.

No, nobody is kidding you.
Primary goal is to not get listed on numerous number of exchanges, that could be done overnight.
Instants solutions cost money, and even some relevant business are not willing to spend money for something that will eventually come free of charge.

Primary goal of this coin/community is to get established and recognized, for example, integration with hardware wallets, BTX ATMs, acceptance on some web shops and so on.

Only then you can expect to get invited and get listed on exchanges that actually matter.

654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard Killed 4 GPU's on: January 26, 2018, 11:01:39 AM
Hey everyone,
So basically, my motherboard has just Killed 4GPUS!
I think, there is a problem with the PCIE port on the motherboard and it keeps killing GPUs.
I've tested everything and even added some cheap GPU and it died as well, so its 100% mobos fault...

GPUs are out of warranty, so what do you guys think, are GPUs done forever? How great the damage could be on GPU from motherboard? no smoke or anything like that was noticable....When I turn on the PC, GPU's fans and Led lights start but then it stops and pc can't detect it...

Ok, so, I have been looking down your posts, I see you are using 2x PSU on that rig? Correct?

Is it possible that you had problem with groundings on your rig, so you get reverse electricity current flow.
People had this type of burned machines a lot of times.

yes, in your case - do nothing and wait

and where will btchush appear?

He didn't mean do nothing in that way, he meant don't do anything before the snapshot of hush blockhain in february if you already have hush in your wallet on transparent T address.

After that off course you'll have to import private keys from your hush wallet in your new btchush wallet to claim btchush in the same ratio you had at the moment of snapshot.

DashForceNews Published an article about us: https://www.dashforcenews.com/denarius-the-next-new-payment-coin/

Cool

Giveaway still going strong for some Cold Storage Cards! https://twitter.com/carsenjk/status/955534893378781184

Nice to see Denarius getting some publicity in that article. The author makes good points in the article: small max supply of the coin, fast transaction times, and active development = an attractive "new" crypto to monitor or even invest in. Smiley

Nice giveaway too!

Few good articles and one good review from some relevant YoutTubers could bring us to all new highs.
We will have YT mentions sooner or later if daily trading volumes goes to some bigger numbers, currently is still kind of low.

658  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will bitcoin go? on: January 26, 2018, 08:34:37 AM

Well 8k is still a possibility but let's see. We're currently steady at around 11k and support is strong around that figure. Though i'm keeping it cool right now, i'd probably feelna bit disappointed if it dips below 10k. Not that it matters for a long hold though

If it actually drops below round figure of 10K that could be a problem, not so much for long term investors but for casual short-term buyers that driven by massive hysteria could create sale flood and that would crash the price to 8K easily.

I have a question for masternode holders. I don't trust these masternode pages statistics and ROIs? Should I sell all my other stuff and buy a zcoin masternode? I want something stable not like these crazy ROI but no market masternodes.

Thanks

I cannot tell you what's the ROI for Masternode, but I can tell you that would not be wise to throw all eggs in one basket how ever the basket looks strong and  secure at the moment.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: January 26, 2018, 07:10:18 AM

Was the airdrop distributed before? If I missed Airdrop before, I should get mad.  I need to get angry. But I must be mad at myself.  Come on tell me you have not been distributed yet, my friend.

To be precise there wasn't any airdrop for ICON , but there was signature and other social network promotion campaigns during the early period right before the token sale started.
