641  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: March 09, 2018, 05:57:49 AM
Hi Guys

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.

So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.

My portfolio currently looks like this....

43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....

I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.
I’m not being greedy, but dude, 600k is nothing compared to what most people are earning from this. I’ve seen people earning millions from Bitcoin. My friend once withdrew about 1 million and that was around 2017. But that didn’t make him quit, rather he continued and is still making lots of money till now.
Life is short, sometimes you need to relax also and that 600k is good amount of money. Well, I suggest to have a life that can satisfy you (  I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free ) , have a break but don't quit in crytocurrency trading. Take advantage on your fortunate life as human being, just keep doing what you want too.
642  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do not exchange coin on Poloniex if you do not want to wait and "lose money" on: March 09, 2018, 05:50:45 AM
I will not post this topic if I do not encounter a special case that makes me very upset.
You know Poloniex is a 39th trading platform on coinmarketcap of BTC / USDT. With 24h trading volume is $ 31,144,300. But their attitudes and behavior not carefull and careless.
About 7 months before I picked up wrong account freezing (I know this is my fault). I had to send 2 support for poloniex. And 3 months ago I received a reply from a support person. They said they could not open the account for me and told me to give them the address to withdraw money from the account. I gave the address, the next month they processing problem for me. That money is not much but I am very disappointed
Do you know? When I received a withdrawal email I was very happy. But when looking at the address it is missing the number 1 ? Cheesy ? Yes, their support is missing the number 1. A basic btc address thing that always has to have a digit in front.
It's funny, Lucky it is not valid, if it is another address I will not understand what supporters will do ?
I also do not want to post here. I know they have a lot of work to do. But not so they can not be so careless. I was very upset, I was very patient to resolve, very happy to receive the confirmation email withdrawn, but the wallet address is invalid -_-
How do you feel about the quality of service of Poloniex? I personally feel it is very bad!!!
I don’t really know what to say about this, but one thing for sure is that no matter how much they try they won’t be able to satisfy every customers. I have also had the same problem with exchanging cryptocurrencies with Shapeshift (Shapeshift is different though) but this kind of thing doesn’t mean they are scam or something. No matter how hard they try, some customers will always have issues. In some cases it’s good to take screenshot as proof when things turns out pretty bad.
Yes it's true, it's hard to satisfy every customer specially in exchanges ( maybe if you give them a wrong amount that is bigger than the value of their token, lol ) The problem of Shapeshift is you don't have or you are unable to do account on their platform, after you send your token or coins to their address, it's up to them how much the exchanges that you may get ( that is a crazy thing if you are a newbie in trading industry ) . In trading, the time is a big asset, last time it takes too much time to process my transaction. So frustrating as a newbie like me.
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will crypto markets continue to spike higher? on: March 07, 2018, 09:54:07 PM

The market of crypto currency is very volatile, but I'm sure that growth will continue.
How sure you are that the crypto currency will continue to grow? Can you please add some reason or explanation about your post. I like to send merit if you can defend or clarify your answer. That is the first rules and tips for a newbie like you, joining some thread and support your answer and make it clear as possible folks. Looking forward to a worth it response.
644  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do not exchange coin on Poloniex if you do not want to wait and "lose money" on: March 07, 2018, 09:45:51 PM
Many exchanges had problems with verification, but then everything was resolved.
It's depend on the problem or issue that need to take action as soon as possible, but as I experience before, some exchanges have a hard time reading and responding a lot of email everyday around the world. If you experience a bad service from Poloniex, so don't deal on them again and find worth cryptocurrency exchanges, move on folks and learn from mistakes.
645  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking To Start A Small Business With Bitcoin on: March 07, 2018, 09:31:49 PM
If I had a capital to do some small business, I gonna go to a internet cafe and doing a little bitcoin mining while my internet cafe is 100% on work. Also, I can do trading and bounty hunting also, cause I love to work on bitcoin while my surrounding did a little noise from other people, so alive since I'm a fan of online game like dota 2 and many more. Just enjoy life folks!
646  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I only have 200$ per month ! on: March 07, 2018, 09:11:25 PM
In my country, 200 dollar is good enough if you have Jr. Member ( Author had ) as a bounty hunter. For me, 200 dollar is good if that is the total profit income that you earn than losing 200 dollar in some section like investing, trading, betting and many more. Just think and appreciate that every little amount is worth it if you work hard on it. Just don't take advantage in others or doing scam what ever, keep a clean works.
647  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Trading! on: March 07, 2018, 09:06:04 PM
There's a saying that "experience is the best teacher". So if have a lot of it then you know what is the better for you.  But still I still also believe that skill will make you a great trader.
Yes, experience is the best teacher! but you know, there's another way to learn which is so useful. Learn from the other experience, you don't need to experience good and bad scenario just to learn. Just for example, the doctor don't need to experience any kind of sickness or pain just to know how it feels.
You can use that method here in crypto community, learn on reading different forum specially in trading business, on how they done wrong decision, how to avoid it also, get some strategy and many more. Just keep in touch and you will learn a lot.
648  Economy / Marketplace / Re: market now on: March 07, 2018, 09:02:20 PM
The market is constantly fluctuating. What is your opinion?
Bad scenario, but it's natural I think. The world is truly complete when sometimes bad thing happen like fluctuating the crypto market specially the trading section. But it's okay, at least you have time to do more opportunity and invest on some alternative coins that you knew that has a strong capabilities in survival and get over. Just be calm and think positive folks
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CASPER API it is first system decentralized cloud-based data storage for DAPPS on: March 07, 2018, 03:01:49 PM
What is the stage of project readiness? Is there a working beta version? Have any tests been conducted on the technology itself?
a couple of days ago there was a beta version of the product, see the details in the news on facebook. And everyone can become a provider of casper services

After I visit the link provided above, looks like not only here in bitcointalk org but also in Casper facebook team is too busy on their system/plan updates. Also, I saw there  how popular the Casper now a days. Just keep it up til we reach our individual goal in the future, for good. Best of luck folks!

Do you know that with digital currencies always happen something curious?

For example, many people know about the Englishman named James Howells, who bought 7500 BTC almost for a penny. Later, Howells had completely forgotten about it and threw out the hard drive from the computer, where he kept a cryptocurrency... By the way, today 7500 Bitcoins is almost 75 000 000 dollars. It is known that later James was trying to find a disc thrown in the city dump, but apparently he never succeeded.

Another interesting case occurred with a journalist of the famous financial company Bloomberg - during one of his live interviews, talking about the prospects of Bitcoin, he inadvertently showed a QR-code with his private key to the crypto-wallet. The result was not long in coming – all his BTC was quickly stolen, however, according to rumors, he was given back all the cryptocurrency…

http://casperproject.io

Such a waste moves by James Howells, it's a disaster! Just one wrong decision and everything will be regret...You gonna know the importance of one thing, when its already gone. Thanks Casper team to share those kinds of stories, I don't care if that is true or not, as long as I learn about bitcoin and other scenario about crypto currency, everything is a thumps up!
651  Economy / Marketplace / Re: my friend have my user and password and my passport scan on: March 05, 2018, 03:59:21 PM
Better to change your password immediately using your registered email or holding the word trust to a friend you used to call with. Wondering why you told those thing to your friend, specially your passport. Thinking that she is your girl friend before and now she is you ex-gf a.k.a friend. Disaster folks!
652  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking To Start A Small Business With Bitcoin on: March 05, 2018, 03:51:18 PM
Small business using bitcoin, I use to lend money to my local friends who using bitcoin too. A little percentage interest (cause those are my friend and I only want to help sometimes). Besides, there are multiple lending business today specially in crypto community and altcoins newly arrived project. That's why I only target my friends who is trust worthy and I knew who are their true identity, no bullsh*t dude.
653  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why does it call "market will never sleeps"? on: March 05, 2018, 03:39:27 PM
For me, it means time is gold
For businessmen, traders and people who have jobs time is literally gold for us. But to be specific with day traders the never sleeps. This is what I like in crypto market especially with bitcoin, it's not the same with the usual markets that we grew up. Once the price became lower everyone is free to buy more and when the price increases, everyone can sell at any time they want to.

This sounds like, time flies like an arrow. If you are a business man, you need to monitor every time the market place, cause it's a matter of time to have a have profit or to loss, win or lose. Never sleeping, cause you don't want to lose even in a single time.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will crypto markets continue to spike higher? on: March 05, 2018, 03:19:05 PM
Where do you see the price of BTC and altcoins heading? Do you think cryptocurrencies will see more gains?
A part of yes and a part of maybe. Yes, because most of the expert and bitcoiner user expect that through 2020. A part of maybe, because I see how useful of this online currency around the world. So the high graph of demand, the high possibility of this will continue to grow. Who knows about tomorrow, just expect the best to crypto community, we experience all the benefits if this happen.
655  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is it possible to use bitcoin like offline currency? on: March 05, 2018, 03:12:17 PM
For me,a big NO!. Cause you need to connect it to internet every time to update its value. Too much unstable value currency is the main problem. Like the early bitcoiner user said before, the main reason of bitcoin is take off the barrier of all currency around the world using internet (online connection). Offline is not allowed.
656  Economy / Marketplace / Re: "Bitcoin mining is a Big no!" on: March 05, 2018, 03:05:32 PM
Why not folks, if you have enough capital, low value of electricity, good country weather, updated system technology knowledge (specially in bitcoin). It's up to you, just always remember "time flies away like an arrow". So decide now and be a source of bitcoin, cause this is the future currency.
657  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: March 05, 2018, 03:00:06 PM
Even if I'm not a merit, I just do not think it's worth your merchant account so merit is not available for sale, Many of newbies on daily basis come on this forum and ask for certain questions but if they wont get the good advices and way forward,

Folks, you are truly can't get merit on that line "Even if I'm not a merit", just be careful on every sentence you made in every forum. Good luck folks!

659  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: March 03, 2018, 03:57:56 AM
I totally agree. merit not to be traded. this is one of the advantages of this forum, and it becomes a challenge for new users like me to keep improving posts. regards
Hoping that the supply of merit is enough and able you to rank up in the future. Cause as I see, (respectful)Admin theymos is one of the top bitcointalk user that have a lot of merit received ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=35 ), even he doesn't need it. How about those who are worthy of smerit that we see in different thread or forum, but unfortunately I don't have any smerit to send cause I sent my smerit to others and it's too limited. What do you think?
660  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 03, 2018, 03:45:44 AM
I think we are going too far on the English and Genglish pun and the requisite for a "good English" for posting. I am not a native English speaker and surely make plenty of mistakes, but I think is best to focus on content rather than on the shape. I will merit posts that I can understand and are well thought even if the writing is just average. I am not looking for grammar lessons here, just for crypto fun, learn and perhaps investing better.

I mean, in the future because I don't think I am getting merit for the moment  Grin

I haven't seen anyone saying English must be the posters native language and that every post must be grammatically perfect.  There is a big difference between someone clearly using Google Translate vs someone with the ability to write something understandable... I can't learn something from a post I can not understand. I can't discuss a post/points when the language barrier prevents it.
Even if there's a barrier in language or even in dialect in one country/world, it doesn't mean that you can dominate others and allow to speak unnecessary (offensive) words to that person.
This Flying Hellfish is acting a good boy( baby boy ) right now, OMG. How lucky you start to register in bitcointalk.org in early year, I just imagine if the demerit is active right now. You can get a lot award, and I will congratulate you for sure.
