641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Libra finally launching? on: November 27, 2020, 11:56:36 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/facebook-s-libra-to-reportedly-launch-in-january-2021-as-usd-stablecoin

"Following more than a year of scrutiny from global financial regulators, Libra will launch in a form of a United States dollar-backed digital currency, the Financial Times reported on Nov. 27"
I am really surprised with this news because I thought the libra project already dropped by the Facebook. But the original idea of the project was the token value will be based on fiat value of each respective countries, am I right?

So Biden's government is actually helping the adoption of cryptocurrencies more or they just want to cut down the privacy?
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AML Bitcoin Token Wallet problem on: November 27, 2020, 09:50:16 PM
Token wallet is the actual name of your wallet? Looks like unfamiliar crypto wallet to me.

Well, if wallet is not syncing means your installed version is outdate so install the new one and import the private keys then you can access your funds.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will social mining replace bounties? on: November 27, 2020, 03:43:25 PM
In this topic I would know if people believe in social mining as instrument of spreading the word about contemporary crypto projects or bounties are still actual?

Company called DaoMaker already arranged some social mining campaigns and successfully finished them. Such projects as Elrond, Avalanche, Orion and some others were on the platform and many people got opportunity to earn a lot for useful work. I earned about 3k$ on Elrond Social Mining without any really professional skills.

What do you think about it and can DAO Maker invention replace bounty campaigns in the future?

Bounties already replaced by IEOs to be honest, people are rarely making any money from completing the bounty tasks. And the term social mining looms new for me so I don't know actually how it works but definitely will take a look at this and if it is more convincing than bounties for the project promotion then for sure it may replace bounties or can co exist together.

Fan base for cricket in India is really huge and when elites know how to use their cricket enthusiasm for their profits then these kind of things will happen.Other cricket boards are also making money but not up to the level of BCCI and BCCI is making more profits than ICC I guess.

To be honest cricket is expected to be much shorter in the future and I am scared that it could end up the sport's future! Undecided

India, being a country of 1.4 billion would be a prime market not just for cricket, but also for all the other sports. Many of the sports boards in India have successful franchise leagues established by them.
Apart from cricket not much sports got same amount of fan base as cricket in India, Soccer the sport which got more fan base than cricket even is struggling to find the fan base and sponsors there. That is why most leagues are only based on cricket but India has talent from all sports but they are not rich enough to support the activities and give up even before reaching their goals.
645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For beginners which trading option is best and which platform and why? on: November 27, 2020, 12:33:36 PM
What about explaining to beginners how actually trading should be done than simply saying what type of trading they have to do.Binance is the best that is what we are seeing all over the place but we have some alternatives to the Binance?

646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 11:53:57 AM
If Dhawan or Pandya gets out now, the target will be unachievable. Virat got out too early and even Iyer proved disappointing. If Virat was on crease, the target could be achieved still as the RRR is not that high but 8 but without him, it doesn't look they will win this match.

Why so much dependency on Virat? India can't depend on him to win everytime. Other players also need to perform, during crucial matches. Shikhar Dhawan got out just now and India are struggling at 229/5. For me, there is zero percent chance for India to win this match. Still, I would like them to bat for the remaining overs, and get used to the ground conditions. It would help them for the next match.
Need 94 from 26 balls which is literally impossible to score when only tailenders are at the crease. Indians are playing in the overseas condition after a very long time so it is not really a worst performance but they could have been performed better.
647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which jurisdictions allow BTC to be converted to fiat without asking questions? on: November 27, 2020, 11:33:12 AM
Which jurisdictions/countries have weak or no AML/KYC laws and would allow you to convert large amounts of BTC (>$1 million) to fiat without asking too many questions?
It highly depends on the origin of the exchange not by yourself, only p2p offers such feature because even exchanges which doesn't have KYC requirements for certain limitations may ask you to verify it at any time for any reason so choosing HodlHodl, Localcryptos and Bisq are the only options.
648  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Funds in my coinbase vault stuck for very long time on: November 27, 2020, 10:44:12 AM
@op, what you can do rn is to keep trying to get coinbase's attention. Bother them in every channel they have, if you want you can tell them about this thread or whichever that has the most views/engagement
It seems creating multiple support ticket is getting worthless because they are not responding to any of them no matter how much days I wait before submitting the next one.

Even I tried the different support emails, the result is same.

The same thing exists and unresolved on Reddit too, so I can do is to visit their physical office and get their attention! Roll Eyes

I decided to keep trying with a new ticket every week until they notice mine.
If you do have the chance then why not?

You got some point on sending spam emails wont really make the situation even way more faster. Whats the update on this one op? have this one resolved out already?

Usually when transferring your bitcoin from vault into other wallet will be having that 3 days clearing time as far as i remember yet i had experienced on using up their vault too
and this one had been stuck for a long time then they are the only ones who can resolved out.
Nothing to update because there is no response from them for all of my support tickets. Normally it will take 48 hours for the transaction to gets clear then it will move to wallet from Vault but the problem raises when the Authorization required to clear that transaction.

Hmm.. are you from US op? maybe try joining this class action and while at it, slip the fact that you did in your ticket. Worth a shot, you wont lose anything. Im not sure if non-US citizen can join tho, wouldn't hurt to ask them if you are.

btw, how many upboats did your reddit thread had?
It seems that website is only for US citizen because they are asking to select the region which are only from states but unfortunately I am not one from there.

Coinbase subreddit have Karma requirements I guess so that my thread has been trashed due to insufficient karma because normally I don't interact on Reddit just only use it as guest user.
649  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ratings and Reviews on app stores can't be trusted on: November 27, 2020, 07:40:32 AM
Its easier to give fake reviews but its not easier to make convincing amount of reviews so its not too hard to find which one is new and fake reviewed app by noticing the total number of downloads and total number of ratings given.
Exactly the junk applications appear a lot on the store, but actually those are the applications i have never downloaded before, you probably understand why i did not download such applications. Instead of complaining about this, the OP needs to understand that there is competition in any sector, so new applications will always be created, and the OP needs to learn about the origin of those applications as well you do not have to download phishing apps scam.
Technical knowledge maybe is needed to understand that application is completely a phishing one but we can avoid such apps by monitoring number of downloads and reading the reviews randomly only if it got few thousands of positive ones.

I know website to find malware exist in the downloaded files but not sure it is capable of finding such cases of fake ones.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 27, 2020, 06:45:02 AM
Seeing the revenue earned by BCCI through IPL most boards started their own leagues and to date they have not been able to equal the revenue amount of IPL.

And this is where things go wrong for the other boards. Everyone want to copy the IPL and establish their own franchise T20 leagues. They never do proper research on the viability of such leagues. Even smaller boards like the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have jumped in with their LPL. In most cases, these leagues end up as loss making ventures, because the boards overestimate the potential revenues.
Fan base for cricket in India is really huge and when elites know how to use their cricket enthusiasm for their profits then these kind of things will happen.Other cricket boards are also making money but not up to the level of BCCI and BCCI is making more profits than ICC I guess.

This days it's easier to build fake app with softwares and still had good reviews on playstore, it's damn easy, scammers get their fake app available on playstore and use multiple google accounts to make reviews for the fake apps, this is a warning for those who used ratings and reviews to download apps on playstore
Its easier to give fake reviews but its not easier to make convincing amount of reviews so its not too hard to find which one is new and fake reviewed app by noticing the total number of downloads and total number of ratings given.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your opinion about today's Altcoin market situation? on: November 26, 2020, 06:27:51 PM
Completely due to the fall of Bitcoin price because emotions drives the investors to be crazy when they see sudden dump on the bitcoin so they wants to save their value if coins by selling as soon as possible because its like a sign of 2017 cycle is going to repeat so people can buy back when the prices completely dumped.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 26, 2020, 05:48:35 PM
I think the decision to have 4 foreign players in the squad is the perfect decision. Because the main goal of BCCI is to find talented young players. And after every IPL we can see BCCI has got a lot of young talented players. As a result, the idian squad is always strong. I agree with you, older players should be avoided. And young players should be given more opportunities. Because the youngsters will lead the next Indian team.

I would personally go for a 5 player per team limit for foreign players. It would mean that low quality players such as Kedar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla and Dinesh Karthik are weeded out from the playing XI. Right now the limitation of 4 overseas players is only benefiting these oldies and not any younger player. Also, there are plans to increase the number of teams from the current 8 to either 9 or 10, and that should give room for fringe players.
IPL is really created to find the young talents in India and we also have to accept that it changed the cricket era to the next level after the introduction of IPL but now IPL is now turning into more business than sports so we may see the increase in the overseas player limit but I don't think there will be an increase in the teams because they tried it in the past but it didn't worked.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 25, 2020, 01:45:16 PM
If someone believes that players are making more money then they are stupid, gambling sites/company makes more money even after paying millions to their players which means more people are losing the money. We can gamble and we also can make money but making money part is not in our hand so we always have to be prepared to lose all bets then only we can be happy when we win bets.
You are wrong, it always depends on the gambler if he will win more or lose more, more than he made, so if you don't want to lose money don't bet too much, do not put all of your money if you don't have any savings, track your savings if you want, always save any amount of your winnings, be careful not to regret because sometimes it will only be the reason why you will keep on betting higher and higher so that you may get back all the losses, it will be the reason for losing too much, but if you will learn not to do this, then you are good.
We are not talking about the individuals, when we see the whole bet amount vs the price rewards then the price rewards paid are lot less which is possible if the casino has enough traffic.

656  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: November 25, 2020, 05:16:22 AM
Debit cards with faster and cheaper payments are enough to eliminate the need of banking system completely? Loans are the real reasons for the survival of traditional banking system which don't have any perfect alternative options yet in cryptocurrency space, yes defi exist but its not the real kind of loan system so banks are going to survive longer for sure.
657  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction stuck unconfirmed on: November 25, 2020, 03:16:55 AM
Thank you, it has put my mind at ease as the transaction was $200 lol.
Next time use this Mempool tracker : https://mempool.space/ which I found recently when came across the threads like these, so you can find the network traffic rate and what is the current amount of fee required to get our transaction confirmation faster and more efficient.

But when you make transaction from coinbase like wallets you have no choice other than waiting for the transaction to get confirmed because where you can't set your own fee.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 22, 2020, 11:47:07 PM

BBL has increased the limit of international players from two to three recently which is encouraging for the overseas players and also it will create more interest in the matches.

https://cricketaddictor.com/cricket/bbl-2020-21-three-foreign-players-playing-xi/

Hmmm... this is a very welcome news and may help the BBL to gain more viewership in Asian nations and England. I'm told that the vast majority of their revenues come from Australia itself, but if they want to expand, then they need to concentrate on other countries as well.
Absense of Indian players on other nations' leagues is another reason why it is not getting enough viewers like IPL is just because of BCCI's policy on their player contracts. Players are not allowed to participate on any other leagues it else they will not be given any contracts which should be changed in my opinion if cricket gets more popular among all other nations.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 22, 2020, 07:02:51 PM
So its finally happening, they did announced about 50% spectators awhile back but i was not sure about it. Good to see that they are sticking with their promise and i really hope everything goes okay. Games without spectators are never the same and it looks really bad on telly, no matter if tech team adding fake crowd voice over.
Adding fake news was the worst, even in the IPL it was really irritating because the background crowd noise was too much even when they score a single, for me it is better to watch as it is rather than having these fake noises and i am not sure whether we will see spectators soon as some countries are planning for yet another lock down because of the sharp increase in the number of positive patients and we have one more month and it is hard to predict what will happen by that time.
Currently, Europe is facing the second wave buts it's not case yet with most of the countries or governments don't want to tell the truth to the people, since the vaccines are coming up in different corners of the world is most likely to return back to normal in the next year.

About the fake crowd voice, yes its get irritated for most of the time and the complete cheer-up experience was missing in the whole IPL for their home teams.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effect of US regulation to crypto all over the world? on: November 22, 2020, 06:34:56 PM
We actually don't know what will be the approach of the new president towards cryptocurrencies but as far as I know, it is not going to be on the positive side, it will be wither neutral on the negative side so high chances for strict regulations and more restrictions towards crypto service companies which means more company is going to move their offices to somewhere which is a loss for the US not to the crypto itself.
