I would think if this issue was happening as you say it was, there would be many long time users of the site that would've posted they'd noticed the same issue.  I'm not reading any others posts about this issue here and this site has been around for a while so it would have come up by now IMHO.

Stunna was fast to address this issue and obviously u had contact with the sites support, so I"m thinking Primedice has done a good job thus far handling this issue and their is no reason to think the problem is on their end until there is some proof, which I doubt will come.
tnx for post,
i think primedice is a good site,
but this autobet feature,i lost last month 2 btc, because it didnt stop betting, while i clicked.

Hint: DON'T GAMBLE!!!
you are right,
but if you gamble, than you are awaiting a good service.
bytheway its the last time i gambled
Right...

Since the nonce thing is gone, PD no longer has the ability to do selective hashes. I am not taking anybody's side here. However, the part where clicking stop doesn't stop...now thats just sloppy code.

Again, not taking timmy's side here either cause he deserves everything that comes at him.
644  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God exists? on: August 15, 2014, 11:54:01 AM
The human race will be the gods in...1000 years is a good estimate, by then this galaxy will be ours. Don't you want to be a god yourself rather than believe in such an entity?

Yup, the moment we read about MD5, it's already guaranteed that you need to change your password ASAP. MD5 can be bruteforced very easily.

except he messaged the world during the dorian scandal. so we know that 1. the creator is not dorian and 2 the creator is still alive.

end of.. now can someone report this speculative FUD spreading off topic joke and get it placed where it belongs. it seems that cryptopaths is getting bored and now just talking jibberish..

I have added the red and green signals to your assumptions.
This guy gets it. You can't assume that just because 1, that 2 is true OR vice versa.

Who help me recover my wallet blockchain I paid 1 Bitcoin
We can't know who helped you recover your blockchain.info wallet, whom you also paid 1BTC to. You should try to remember.
lol I thought he lost his wallet.dat file and wanted someone to help him find it. I wonder why he would want that person.
He did, I was just being sarcastic Tongue. I couldn't resist, sorry.

I think you shouldn't do anything at this point.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: An (even more) optimized version of cpuminer (pooler's cpuminer, CPU-only) on: August 06, 2014, 12:36:41 PM
Hi guy,

I'm a total newbie to mining, and just stumbled over cpuminer and this thread, because I was looking for info on what's possible with an Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz / 8GB RAM that's running here 24/7 mostly idle anyway. It only has nVidia Corporation G72 [GeForce 7500 LE] graphics, so GPU mining is out of question, and I can't connect anything USB, so no ASIC neither.

I can see that CPU mining is considered to be dead, but on the other side what the heck.

Can someone please point out what would make most sense to mine with such low specs?

  • Bitcoin or Litecoin?
  • Pool, P2Pool or Solo?
  • If Pool, does it make any difference which pool with such low specs?

Any hint highly appreciated.

Greetings,

M.
Neither Litecoin, especially not Bitcoin.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v6.1 on: August 06, 2014, 12:28:09 PM
Data.bin kernel names, K1, K2o, K3. Whatever optimizations there are, are likely in the CPU code, rather than the OpenCL kernel.
Packer used on NsGpuCNMiner.exe is Themida(I've yet to verify).

All payments can be reversible, including wire transfer.

That is plain stupid. You cant reverse a wire. You can reverse an ACH. Learn the difference.

653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the #@!$ is going on ?! on: August 03, 2014, 12:49:34 PM
-snip-
Why have the past few months processed 6 blocks rapidly then had a massive gap between the next one? What happened to average 10 mins per block? Looking at this, 120 minutes between six blocks is 20 minutes per block average, which is double the expected time.

Its the average of the last* 2016 blocks that count. Should that average result in 20 minutes the difficulty will be lowered.

*correction, its not actually checked every new block, so "the last 2016" is not correct.
what do 2016 blocks have to do with current confirmation times...and if the average is 20 minutes and the difficulty is lowered wouldn't it be EASIER to mine blocks?

Yes

sort of contradicts it self doesn't it?

No, because that would also make it easier to find a new block, thus it will happen more often. Did you buy that account or did you just not pay attention the last 6 month?
It's called variance, you can't beat it. This is why block times are so irregular at times.
654  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it safe to click on google ads? on: August 03, 2014, 05:01:15 AM
Depends, if the ad serves you Flash or Java content, or some malicious PDF, then maybe.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Probably old news, this article was released concerning Russia banning bitcoin on: August 03, 2014, 03:46:33 AM
Yes, it's old news. Also, btc-e's location isn't public. It's said to be in 'eastern Europe', but the exact location isn't public, AFAIK.
Nope, btc-e's location is well known.
656  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: bitcoind 0.9.2 uses 800MB of RAM at 30 connections! on: July 31, 2014, 11:16:01 PM
If developers think 800MB is acceptable and trending higher is expected, how in hell does the BTC community expect to become an everyday mobile app for commerce?

Bitcoind doesn't run on any mobile platform.  What mobile app runs a full node?  None?  Full nodes are the backbone of the network.
Why not trade performance(i.e the caching in memory) for...get this, performance! Well, performance of the OS, and let pool operators modify the client to fit their needs. This way, Bitcoin Core would use less RAM for regular people willing to run a full node.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Segfault using secp256k1 on: July 30, 2014, 10:35:40 PM
Code:
/** * In: compressed: whether the computed public key should be compressed

* seckey: pointer to a 32-byte private key.

* Out: pubkey: pointer to a 33-byte (if compressed) or 65-byte (if uncompressed)

* area to store the public key.

* pubkeylen: pointer to int that will be updated to contains the pubkey's

* length.

* Returns: 1: secret was valid, public key stores

* 0: secret was invalid, try again.

*/

int secp256k1_ecdsa_pubkey_create(unsigned char *pubkey, int *pubkeylen, const unsigned char *seckey, int compressed);

The function returns an int. Have the return value assigned to a variable.

Just wanted to let you know, that in C or C++ and in many languages in fact, you are not forced to store the return value of a function. It means that, that wasn't what was causing the issue Wink
658  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Sneak Peek of an Upcoming Exchange on: July 30, 2014, 10:25:11 PM
Everybody said Satoshi's coding skills were not that great

They weren't.

you trusted him did you not?

Absolutely not!  Where did you get the idea that any of the early adopters trusted Satoshi?
Think about it a bit, Satoshi may or may not have all those millions of coins(I am also aware that he may have destroyed the private keys, but we can't know), that's a lot of money, especially when the price hits new ATHs. You are/will be trusting him that he doesn't dump them. Why would he destroy his creation? I am not saying he will, just saying, you trust him not to do it.

As for creativity, here's an app I created for Android, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101612.0. There was no way for me to create a better UI, I just simply can't, not because if technical difficulties, but because of said aptitude, I am not a creative person.
659  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Sneak Peek of an Upcoming Exchange on: July 30, 2014, 10:09:02 PM
im sorry but after 4 months work your 'skeleton' UI looks weak.

i don't recommend anyone using it at all. i smell security weaknesses and potential for loss at every click.

if you are silly enough to sign up. do not use an email address you us for other exchanges and DEFINITELY not the passwords you usually use. many "coming soon" websites are made purely to gather login details in the hope to find one fool that also uses it on another exchange that is funded. or to atleast gather emails to spam you with scams.

IMHO UI does not reflect security of a website. It is just a mask to attract customers.
franky1 has a point here. A good security is way harder to establish than a decent UI.
So, when they are not able to get the second right, what makes you think, they got the first right? Trust?
Everybody said Satoshi's coding skills were not that great, you trusted him did you not? Your argument is invalid.
Also, not everybody has the aptitude to be an artist. Designing is very difficult, very. It requires creativity, abstractness, some people do not have these qualities.

The meat doesn't look juicy, it's like a chicken was grinded with it's feet and nails still inside.
