642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TOKEN] DAV - Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles. Presale Early 2018 on: July 23, 2018, 08:44:36 AM
The tokens haven't been unlocked yt, Bit. Here is the latest from the team on exchanges:
“HitBTC, Bitforex, and IDEX have announced they will be listing DAV. Based on the feedback from their community they've asked these exchanges to delay our listing. Please remember that DAV does not control exchange listings.  In addition to those initial three, there may be more exchanges that list DAV.  This is often how exchanges work.  They will continue to keep their community informed of new listings as soon as we hear of them.”

DAV Token still locked?
But the list of exchanges already provided, this good news that deserves to be grateful, of course, the holder was happy with this news, and soon the DAV tokens opened.

Yes they are. Stay tuned to https://t.me/DAVNetwork for an update.

What Users Need To Know

Users need to understand how to interpret the encapsulated information presented to them via these cards; they need to choose the appropriate action to take in order to complete the transaction, persuade another person, or grow into a greater authority. What they don’t need to know is what happens behind these cards: whether the transaction is transmitted through a cloud-based service or a blockchain protocol; whether the counterparty is another human or an autonomous agent represented by a smart contract; or whether the proof of identity and thus authority is provided by a blockchain ID or an on-device face ID.

"Decentralization is not the goal of this movement. Rather, decentralization is a tool to remove monopoly power over financial (and other) services."

Read Bancor Product Architect Eyal's post "Decentralization is a Journey, Not a Destination": https://blog.bancor.network/decentralization-is-a-journey-not-a-destination-263c38b53bd

That is the approach which any project need to become the world class although it was another horrible incident in the history of cryptocurrencies. The team was aware of past attack on TheDao and that is why they make this network secure and with that feature they were able to make possible of token recovery and in future they will implement more features on this network.

Agreed Freaks. While this was very much a regrettable incident, it also served to highlight the effectiveness of the security measures Bancor had put into place for BNT. It also, as you pointed out, brought the issue of security and what can be done to mitigate breaches to a more prominent place in the awareness of the global crypto community. We and the Bancor team are very excited to see what innovations this will lead to in the future to help protect everyone.
Wait what? If anything, the incident showed how centralized services are a security loophole. If this wasn't explicitly programmed into the BNT contract, not a penny would have been lost. I don't understand your reasoning - care to explain?

I see your point of view. Without additional features such as convertibility, ETH reserves aren't necessary, meaning Bancor would hold no funds that could be stolen.

The safest way to store one's funds is to memorize a 42 digit private key and never access these funds.

Most of us know the safest way to do something, and then take another route for the sake of convenience. Bancor is connecting as many low volume tokens as possible; a great convenience that makes illiquid currencies liquid.

While BNT's ETH reserves are a target, they're also a tool that make low volume tokens available, convertible, and valuable. They increase wealth to those who have created the product or service for which these tokens pay, and those who pay benefit from the products and services desired.

There are foundations with tokens focused on absolute security, and that's great technology. Bancor is focused on absolute inclusion and community. While the team are learning from this unfortunate event, it's also worth pointing out that a far reaching community has been linked together, in a secure enough way that over $1 bn in transactions were made safely prior to the theft.

This technology is new, and expensive security holes will reveal and improve crypto and blockchain. In ten years we'll look back at a lot of mistakes that could've been prevented, had security been important above all else. In the meantime, we can do our best to manage the risks associated with new technology, and improve security, without abandoning our vision for the future.

What's all the buzz about security tokens?

Swarm Fund is a decentralized marketplace that democratizes investment activities by use of blockchain technology. Using this technology the platform can provide high return alternative investments to smaller investors by use of asset-backed funds using tokens.

* DAV conducted a KYC process during the token sale that was more rigorous than we were told it needed to be.

* We were unfortunately surprised that we had to take further compliance measures for Swiss regulatory purposes and it was very recently confirmed that we had to do this before we unlocked the tokens.

* To satisfy these additional requirements, approximately 120 contributors were identified as needing to complete additional steps for identification verification (such as notarization or interviews).

* We have offered them each 15,000 DAV Tokens (approx. USD $750) as a one-time gesture of thanks for completing the extra identification verification. These tokens are taken out of the Foundation’s budget. All of the unsold tokens from the token sale have been burned, as we had promised to do.

* We have been advised by our Swiss lawyers, due to regulatory issues, to not unlock the tokens until the identification issues have been worked out with the contributors in question. This is why we are unable to provide exact timelines as to when tokens will be unlocked.

* We expect this to be resolved in a matter of weeks and will let our community know when we have an exact token unlock date. We are very grateful for your patience!

Recently in the chat, BANKEX's ISAO platform came up in the discussion.

BANKEX's ISAO requires a security deposit in the form of BKX tokens, as outlined in the MovieCoin whitepaper.

Just another way that BKX continues to be part of an ever growing eco-system!

658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Blockshipping - Transforming the Global Shipping Industry. Sale 14.05 on: July 20, 2018, 06:05:41 AM
The GSCP platform will enable potential savings for the global container industry at least USD 5.7 billion annually.
I think there is no longer a platform like GSCP, this is the first in the container industry.

That is true, Bzilr. Blockshipping is the first of its kind, especially to offer such a range of benefits on one platform.

Yes, they have some detailed review about the block shipping how potential it is going to be in future. All the three reviews have given a positive direction where the community will get awareness about their future aspects of the developments.
Blockshipping is one of the greatest ico for me because it is totally suits in every developing ports that needs and advance technology. Everyday this is useful although we cannot use it but they have a wide use for every shipping industry. Well in this ico i found i slight change of mind it was slow maybe people are not so interested in this platform. I will fully watch it from time to time.

Thanks for these good thoughts, Saidmod. The sale was extended to the end of August. Blockshipping will continue relentlessly until GSCP launches, and has translated their whitepaper to Chinese, Korean, and Japanese to exploit opportunities seen in these Asian markets.
