641  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Viral Bitcoin Pool on: July 06, 2011, 04:03:46 PM
Dont you see you are losing money? You could be increasing passive BTC income without any monetary investment (only some time to steal an image and put it in your sig)...
"Zero-sum game" - look it up.

...How is it a zero sum game? It is dumb of me to think that anybody in the forum for a digital currency has any sense, but this is ridiculous...

People don't like failed affiliate marketers who take their spam and e-book texts of 'viral marketing strategies'
to legit forums like those of bitcoin.

That is all.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is buying above $13? Manipulation or Market? on: July 06, 2011, 03:52:52 PM
yesterday was panic selling. i did buy at 12. now its going back to normal 15+ possibly a new all time high. then im selling the ons i buyed at 12

you noob just don't understand whats panic, and whats is normal. Cheesy

15$ is normal?  Since last week?  Yesterday?  1$ was normal not too long ago.  Normal is defined by how many more suckers are willing to buy in to this pyramid.  This thing fluctuates 20% like its nothing.  Bitcoin could go to .50 tomorrow.

So why are you here?
Or is this another jealous unemployed bum who is mad he didn't buy coins when they were 0.02 a piece
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth is unlimited. on: July 06, 2011, 06:54:05 AM
Let them use wealth and make more bots; genesis pools; unlimited wealth of genes.
Some are offended by cryogenics or are drilled to hate this work; cache mines. Misuse of patents are simply those. You know how hard it is to upgrade the bathroom technology, worldwide? Frozen throne.

Are you the guy who's been email spamming viagra and prozac for decades?
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [0.25 BTC bounty] Radeon 6990 2nd gpu overheat on: July 06, 2011, 06:39:14 AM
It's a reference Sapphire 6990 running at 100% fan speed in an open case.

I changed the pastes on my other cards to IC diamond 7,

but AMD says 6990's have a special phase-change TIM which should not be changed because it already has better cooling properties than synthetic diamonds or silver.
So I left that alone, besides the temps are very cool outside of mining.

Vcore is at stock, afterburner wont allow tweaking it
645  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Did I break my 5870? on: July 06, 2011, 05:30:08 AM
1020mhz from 850mhz is a relatively high OC (~20%). Wouldn't recommend for 24/7 usage at max. load like BTC mining.

Could be that the voltage regulator died.
If there's physical evidence of burns on the VRM then the warranty will prob. not be honored.
646  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: buying bitcoins OVER market price on: July 06, 2011, 05:27:42 AM
Okay, sure. Can you pay via Paypal?

Are you asking to be scammed?
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=14632.0

p.s. gifts can be funded by ACH or credit so they can also be
reversed in an instant after a scammer claims fraud in the Paypal dispute center.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: What creates this price for a bitcoin? on: July 06, 2011, 04:14:48 AM
Commodity prices are never stable in the long term even if there is limited supply.

Look at silver and gold, the price chart over 10 years is like a pogo stick (albeit an upwards moving one).
648  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Video Card Giveaway - BitClockers Mineaway July 2011 on: July 06, 2011, 03:09:34 AM
Can new people join the contest or is it really just for people who submitted shares in June?

Quote
every share submitted between 6/1/2011 and 6/30/2011
649  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Can you use this to boost your laptop's mining power? on: July 06, 2011, 02:57:17 AM
You could take advantage of this by buying tons of crappy old laptops with EC slots for 10-20 bucks each, then your only cost is the graphics cards.

The problem is, that adapter costs $100. So you might just as well build a low end system and stick 1 GPU in it.
650  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 1,000 Watt PSU for 3x 6970's? on: July 06, 2011, 02:55:00 AM
Add 50-75W overhead for every card if OC'ing significantly.
So around 950 watts max for the entire system
651  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Is Anyone NOT Under a DDoS Right Now? on: July 06, 2011, 01:33:39 AM
http://bitcoins.lc dealt with DDoS in a few minutes, now running fine at 600ghash.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX add western union withdrawals on: July 06, 2011, 12:54:58 AM
I haven't experienced liquidity problems at Mt. Gox besides the long time of wire withdrawals. There are just two steps.. Sell -> withdraw.

Would join Tradehill if they didn't have their ridiculous $45 fee.
653  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 1,000 Watt PSU for 3x 6970's? on: July 05, 2011, 09:47:50 PM
A 6970 consumes about 250 watts at full load. At most, your entire system would be consuming 800 watts.

The newegg calculator is being overly cautious.
654  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $13 Selling 200BTC! paypal on: July 05, 2011, 09:25:25 PM
So, Jakea1011 (or hax3d), did you buy that Big Mac meal with the last bitcoin you stole?

I mean, the first warm meal in your life. Must be something to write about.
Better than dumpster diving and stealing Windows XP licenses from libraries and schools.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trading paused? on: July 05, 2011, 09:08:13 PM
I love it how Tradehill follows Mt. Gox like a loyal puppy. Really, look at the stats.

There is no "market" in reality. Mt. Gox is the market because other exchanges don't seem to have a will of their own.
656  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTCGuild.com on: July 05, 2011, 08:54:00 PM
You'd have to wonder who is spending 5-10k bots on griefing miners for a few minutes.

You could be actually earning money with your zombies instead of being childish.
657  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~620Gh/s] Bitcoins.lc - No invalid blocks, Instant payout, EU, IPv6, 0% fee, LP on: July 05, 2011, 08:44:32 PM
The server is suddenly pinging at about 430ms
I think there is a very high chance of your site being under a DDoS attack.

Just a heads up to know it's prob. not caused by your software.
658  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRASH! on: July 05, 2011, 08:29:12 PM
I'm getting sick of this madness.

Madness?

This
is

Mt. Gox!
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Overclocking CrossfireX - it just won't work! (3 x 5830) on: July 05, 2011, 08:07:49 PM
Crossfire degrades mining performance. Run every card unlinked.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners calling it quits? on: July 05, 2011, 08:04:39 PM
Did AngelusWebDesign really create his own soapbox to stand on? wow.

The writer has a point though, mining is slowly becoming unprofitable and dead for smaller miners.
You need to have pretty big farms online now if you want to make decent money.

Expanding is out of question unless you get free or very cheap hardware.
