641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 11:09:59 PM
micryon appreciate your experience though in my opinion Asiacoin can easily restore after blockchain is fixed. Asiacoin never dropped below 8th volume. all was OK except premine. Dev said it was hacker attack. Just pure probability - there is much more hacker attacks than malevolent developers. I am not here to judge - this might be hacker attack. after blockchain is fixed Asiacoin IMHO restores easily

Dev deleted the source code, and now the block explorer as well. Do you still believe it was the hack?
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 11:07:06 PM
Guys. I hold no AC. So, can I share a neutral perspective. I know many people have lost money in this. It's almost criminal (actually it is criminal) what original dev has done.

But if those 3 billion coins are moving on the blockchain, then I don't think, anyone can save anything now. Is there a running block explorer for the coin and is address of 3 billion coins known?

Just watch that. If those coins are moving. Forget it really. If not, there still may be some chance.

I really wish whole anonymous coin launching goes away forever now and atleast big exchanges ask for identity verification by altcoin creators.

It is not 3 billion, it is more like 60 billion! Dev said that number and transactions from block 6845 confirm that pre-mine is much bigger than 3 billion

Was there a single coin with IPO (partial IPO) that had some success ?
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 10:14:28 PM
Does anyone find it extreamly lame that so many devs are out here to scam. I mean ya its such good money im sure most people would do it for a quick buck if they had the skills to develop cryptocurrency.

anyhow I think that even if ac2 comes out, the name ac would of have lost so much creditability that no one would buy into it again. does anyone agree with me? or do u still think coins like these will still have a good future ahead of them. I just feel like this is a repeat of wc. the value droped by half over night. in this case the ac value went from 1400 to zero.

does anyone agree?

I think it is a cultural difference and whether people can have long-term approach. Look from which countries these scam coins are coming from...
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 09:25:34 PM
I'm one of the AsiaCoin bagholders. If the dev does not come back with version #2, then we will have to come up with solutions to fix this.

I'm going to start adding names to this list who are bagholders that want this fixed. I'll start with my name.

AsiaCoin Bagholders who wants to see a fix:

CryptoSteam

How can you fix this? Dev has 60bln coins which is not possible to remove. New coin from scratch?
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 09:13:56 PM
Dev created a coin with a bucket load of potential... the silly thing is that he could have made plenty of money without being a scammer.
I think he made more money by being a scammer. In no way he could have a potential to make 1mln usd by being honest, but if he was dumping his AC quietly he would be close to that.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 02:30:16 PM
All you care about is the 60billions coin of AC in the first block
So please read this :
AsiaCoinV2 is a pure POS Coin.
The first block of coin is 160,000,000 ACV2
You can exchange your AC to ACV2.
Finally, we have the total number of premine - 60billion and not 3billion (which is also evident from transactions, more than a hundred 350+mln transactions)

1st block was 100 coins:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=d7a3477eab372c40b122c8f4e0c77f4bc36e353f4cd749d205b6e028e4f10b80

The block showing a transaction of 300+ million coins is a few days later:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=dde263aeb62683b3b6f46c65025594b6d02dbd68abf6ce093bfd1ba228e9b901

Doesn't make sense though, as getinfo in the wallet shows a coin supply of 141,372,389.59392500.

I bought in at 650, so I'm still up a good amount, but I'm disappointed with the dev here. Poor show. You could at least give us some thoughts on the matter. "New version will be released in 24 HRS,it's a pure POS one and  has a new safe block chain." Who are you kidding? Have you identified something wrong with your source which you are now going to make "safe"? Why don't you explain what that issue is??
First block contains hidden 3billion+ coins (you can't see them in the block explorer), these coins later appeared in some transactions (you can see these later transactions). Most transactions occurred in block 6845, analyze them:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d
It is even worse than that, there were almost 100 transactions in block 6845, each worth about 350mln AC with recipient address APpJNPasKd8PRFPqheFsLe6o3CYY4rr5Yk

WhiteCoin, AsiaCoin, YellowCoin, OrangeCoin, SummerCoin, PinkCoin, PurpleCoin, bunch of PandaCoins - all "made in China" and all scams. Is there a single coin made by Chinese and not being a scam?

Ok what the fuck happened today?

People discovered that dev has hidden around 3billion (20times the original supply!) coins in the first block.

Okay guys..

You may want to try (myriadcoin-) Groestl Mining on:

https://kfcgrs.suprnova.cc

I believe a relaunch is coming, i've fixed the source for the pool now, maybe we are lucky and no relaunch is coming.

Other pools ready in a minute.
Could you post the fix so that everybody can fix it?

We have finally fixed all remaining issues with incorrect balances on our AsiaCoin MultiPool. We will continue to further develop MultiPool so that more information will be displayed.
Fees are for now 0% (excluding trading commissions) and will remain so until we include additional features (e.g. other algos).
