I see that it's still impossible to unlike or un-dislike stories.
Sorry about that - we have been heavily consumed on some really awesome features like universal <--embed--> see here http://uptweet.com/story/Before-I-die--TED-Talks-_85 . For now the way it's set you can change a like into a dislike or dislike into a like.
We will set it in the future where users can unlike or undislike every post. We will also be rolling out with an exclusive feature that tweets out your likes and dislikes automatically to all your followers.
I will make sure to come back to this post to update you on that .
Wanted to give all of you a final update before our launch. We have done a ton of work at UpTweet , and would like to make all of you aware of our efforts!
Bug Fixes / Changes
1. Bitcoin subscription system added. Now users need to "subscribe" to start receiving Bitcoin rewards. Part of the subscription process requires an email address. 2. Deposit button has been removed from the site. Our intention was never to be a Bitcoin wallet service, and because of that we have removed all depositing options. 3. Wallet security measure has been implemented. Now in order to change your wallet you will have to confirm via email. Wallet addresses can only be changed once every 24 hours. 4. Removed Mystream to perfect for a later release. The quality of the Mystream page was not consistent with the rest of the site therefore we have decided to push the release of this feature to a later date allowing for us to give the Mystream app a worthy release. 5. Fixed all Youtube and Vimeo embed issues. You can now embed using any Youtube link including the youtu.be ones as well. 6. Fixed all user comment linking. We had issues before with replying to peoples comments via Uptweet. All reply issues have been fixed. 7. Universal embedding of all videos/flash content. You can now embed any piece of flash media/content from any website on the Internet on Uptweet. 8. Fixed massive amount of CSS/JS/HTML issues. 9. Added JQUERY smooth scroll/auto upscroller. 10. Changed all categories to reflect more relevant & trending topics. 11. Added sharing capabilities for all social media mediums. 12. Finalized cross compatibility on mobile and tablet devices.
its quite exciting because all week everyone was talking about Reddit, Reddit, Reddit. And then Wordpress comes out of nowhere and drops the biggest ringing endorsement you could ask for.
Reddit are still "thinking about it" last I heard, maybe they'll be calling up EFF to ask for their permission?
I am going to rain on this parade a little bit, but WORDPRESS really? It is awesome that they are accepting bitcoins, great exposer, but wordpress isn't that great of a company. Plus they launched a small part of that, they should have waited until the can launch there bundles with bitcoins. They claim is due to technical issues, so why not wait the month or two until it is setup.
Yeah it's only like the 22nd largest site in the world..
