641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: March 25, 2024, 04:40:11 PM
No need saying that all fun gamblers want is the fun in gambling, it's clear that the money is a part of the fun. The only importance of gambling for fun, is to elevate the emotions of the gambler and refrain him from depression caused by too many losses. This strategy, also, helps the gambler to wager bit by bit, as he's not fully interested in the money. Those who go for the money, most often, are players that don't care about their bank roll. Saving up money while gambling is fun, losing out all our money isn't. Hence, it's better to be careful and retain our happiness. Chasing money, uncontrollably, only requires carelessness and puts the gambler in a mode where he could lose out his savings. Thereby, risking him to addictive gambling. A person who is happy over his gaming results, is way better than a player who regrets or gets sad over losing out money in gambling.

Exactly sine if we don't think about the return then I think there's no exciting prize to target with, that's why aside from having fun on the games played we also need to be more careful on each approach we made on every situation so that we can avoid to get stress and lose money then instead we can be a profitable at that time then always make sure to be prepare on certain situation which determine that we need to quit since we already have enough.

Chasing money will always end up bad for us especially if we aim to much high that hard to reach so its better to know certain realistic targets so that once we hit that we can get out and enjoy the profit we take from those casinos. We always been feel satisfied with the result especially if we win that's why its good to gamble with discipline since this could save us to trigger us not to do any wild placing of bets.

Choosing to gamble realistically is crucial as you said. Gambling to fulfill some unrealistic expectations isn't encouraged for any gambler.  Players all have the need for money, but casinos shouldn't be the sole proprietors for this, there are multiple methods to earn money in real life. Gambling gives money when it chooses to, at least to help us continue gambling in the future. They know that if a player doesn't win at all, he'll stop gambling. For this purpose, every gambler is sure of winning money, but the time is not predictable. So, people play consistently with a low amount of money and get those wins but won't be satisfied because it's small. While other gamblers may focus on gambling with huge amounts of money till, they win, and the funds will be huge. Yet he wouldn't be satisfied, as it doesn't equate to the money he's lost in the game.

So monetary expectations are never satiable to the gambler. He'd never feel like he's achieved the type of money he has in mind to win in gambling. Hence, such thoughts should be erased and something else used to replace the feeling. Playing for fun is smart and great for the emotions of a gambler. He'd always win emotionally; due to the joy he receives whenever he thinks of gambling. Most people have developed wrong perspectives of gambling because they never met their expectations. And you can't expect a player to succeed in a game that doesn't make him happy anymore.

642  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 25, 2024, 04:14:54 PM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?

Spending time with kids shapes our habits, we'd have to talk multiple times and answer the same questions a thousand times. The stress isn't simple for any adult. But they're good companies to us, yet kids have their flaws which would make an adult think about them in strange ways, such as not respecting their instructions. Hence, a gambler who is undergoing these troubles from children may lose some percent of concentration. However, losing out while being a family man looks quite scary, have not worn such shoes, but a father who has no funds to pay his kid's bills, wouldn't feel comfortable one bit. Some fathers have mentioned facing mood swings, after losing out big in gambling. Hence attending to their kids in a strange way. Another thread also pointed to a father who left his kids at home just to gamble. It's risky getting addicted as a father. Because the emotional stress will be extended to the gambler's kids while growing up. It's crucial for a gambler to reduce his gambling habit the moment he gets married, for the peace of his home.
643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 03:01:56 PM
First off, it's a pity, Op, for losing out $500 unintentionally. When we get sleepy and the body claims it's still active, such mistakes erupts. Because while we try to do anything, we'd doze off. That's a rare mistake though, don't think anybody will enjoy repeating this mistake. Gambling so about the losses, if that was a win, your morning would have been tagged blessed. But the game is mainly losses, whether we are awake or feeling sleepy. With this information gambling can be attractive like any other fun game, but we have to be money conscious not to lose all we've worked hard for, that's a very sad experience.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: March 25, 2024, 10:13:12 AM
-snip-

Gambling with a smart strategy creates a vision for a gambler to observe the game he's into. At some point, if he wishes to embark on a risky session, he can do that calculative. Maybe accumulated spare cash is enough to multiply the game to a high amount. However, it's risky, but not enough to affect the emotions of the players, as he's ready for any outcome. Some players who wager a whole part of their money, face the trouble of dealing with loss. On a lucky day, they may also win big. Yet what matters is being able to withhold the funds after the big win. Not spending back into the game, helps the player at least to take a rest outside of the casino and enjoy his winnings.

You mentioned some great ideas in this paragraph that all gamblers should take into account:

- Calculated risk avoids being affected by emotions.

- We usually forget to enjoy our winnings instead of spending them back in the casino.

However, I'd like to remember that the OP wasn't talking about spending a percentage of his salary, which could lead to emotional distress if it is too high, but about a percentage of his separated money for gambling in each bet.

You're right, but he derived this from an article that encourages gamblers to wager 1% of their monthly income. Which is what I most focused on whenever writing on this thread. However, Op's strategy is quite the best, as he'd never have to worry about his losses. As it's too little to get him worried. As we both know, not every gambler will be comfortable with his strategy. But the general idea that he quoted on the thread looks acceptable to all who wish to stay responsible. They'll never be in any financial trouble in such a family. Because a person who earns over $70k a month wagering only $50-$60 per month, is quite very safe. Such is encouraged. And it shows the gambler is comfortable with his wealth.

Moreover, he doesn't expect a big win, that's roughly 1.5-2$ wagered per day if I'm not wrong. Do you think that amount each day is enough to satisfy a gambler who earns such an amount every month? As I said it's achievable to maintain this strategy, but the size of money each month could be tempting to try again, for a player looking to win big. That's why I encouraged an accumulated high-wagering strategy. He could save up $2 each day and wager about $60 on a game he's a bit sure about. This he can also do once a month. The thrill will also interest him and make gambling fun. Although it's risky, but not for a player who has been determined to be a responsible player.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich or poor gambler, who should risk more? on: March 25, 2024, 03:28:38 AM
but what is clear is that poor or rich people still have to be able to limit their gambling and be able to manage their finances well, and don't expect to be able to get money for sure from gambling.

High rollers must limit their gambling habit for their mental health, not just about money. Sure, people have lots of money, and one could say it's limitless, but it's worthless if the person doesn't enjoy the funds. Risk or not, our psychology must be safeguarded with lots of caution. Gamblers who gamble for money, rich or poor, must be careful not to get carried away by this behavior. Nothing finishes generational health like health issues or sickness. Mental health is way better than money. I think the risk should change from making more money to better stable health. As a member said, any gambler who is able to avoid problem gamblers should be tagged a successful gambler. The risk of chasing money is not crucial anymore.

A rich player will risk it all just to lose more than he's made later. That's a waste of risk. Then he'll face anxiety and depression in the future if he's lost too many and gets indebted. Most rich players got broke and owe a whopping amount of money in debt. Hence, they can only sustain them for a few more years until they'll have no spare cash as backup. What makes up rich is being able to sustain wealth, not losing it all the time. A company, not an individual, that continuously loses money will definitely go bankrupt. Not all rich men are richer than most companies that went bankrupt. Hence, losing money consistently regardless of how we've got we'd go broke in no distance. Money is meant to be managed.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which player are you? on: March 25, 2024, 02:47:30 AM
Sports gamblers angrily blame players for missing goals, receiving red cards, not being serious, rigged matches, etc. The complaints are so enormous that the gambler will have to think about them for a long time. I have sports gamblers, and all they discuss is the game they've lost. A slot player may not need to tell anyone about his slot games. Because they may not know it or get interested in the conversation unless he found a slot player. The serenity of such a game is fine, and not worrisome. Lots of disappointments await sports gamblers. At least slots, help one to be in control and stop whenever he wants, despite having a high number of addicts.
I think there positive thing that sports betting makes gamblers having discussions on the game, the teams, athletes, etc. They dont keep their frustrations for themself that can lead to anxiety. Slot machines offer a more solitary and controlled gambling experience. The outcome of each spin is entirely random and independent of external factors, providing a sense of serenity and detachment from the outside world. The absence of external influences means that losses are typically attributed solely to luck rather than external factors like player performance.

As humans, we must network or discuss with other people what emotionally affects us, but too much of complaints could cause headaches and internal anger. I don't think every sports gambler discusses sports in a simple way, they complain aggressively, and the lost money is the cause of this behavior. However, slot players in the recent era, undergo lots of trouble personally, due to the nature of the game. It's an advantage for the sports players, indeed, because their problems can easily be detected. But what do you think happens to a person who doesn't take responsibility?

Another huge difference between a slot player and a sports gambler is, that one player takes responsibility than the other. Sports players don't ever accept that it's their fault. That's the negative point of sports gamblers, that's why their troubles get worse at some point.

When you watch slot gambler complain, if he ever does, he'd blame himself at some point. That responsibility he's taken upon himself helps him to adjust his excessive gambling habit or mistakes. Because a sports gambler doesn't do this, by not accepting responsibility, you'd notice he repeats similar mistakes each weekend. If he's the type that picks lots of matches at once, he'll never think of reducing them, instead he'd be blaming the teams for not being competent. You'd hear them say that they don't like a team because they were the reason they lost in gambling. That's not a good gambling ethic.

Do you prefer games where you know right away whether you've won (or lost) casino style, or do you prefer other games like sports betting? Do you have any other favorite games?
I personally like sportsbetting but I only up for the offline one. I also like lottery games which I have been playing for a while but due to controversial issues faced by the corporation I refrain playing on it and I will find another platform maybe an online one to bet for.
I'm curious, why do people complain about having trouble with the admins of lottery games? Moving forward, casinos have rules, and I prefer games with fewer rules and easy to play like slots. Don't need to analyze any team, unlike soccer, slots only have to do with discipline, instinct, and observation. I enjoy games that show up results quickly. Sports leave the player wondering whether he'd win or not for how long the game lasts. In the slot, I'd wait a few seconds, and know my next move. Before a sports gambler is done watching his game, I may be sleeping as a result of a completed session. The fun stays for a longer period, and nobody is blamed, except me.

Generally, a gambling addict can get away from their addiction if they have someone with them all the time who keeps them away from gambling and keeps them busy with other activities and engagements, this is why it is important for one to first try and get rid of it without professional support.

I agree with you. That's why a gambler must at least be open with someone he believes is a gambler. And gamblers must also realize that they are addicted and tell people they trust. This would be in line with what you said. Spending time with other activities such as vacations or setting a schedule for playing pool will help you get out of your gambling addiction. I have a friend who is addicted to gambling. And he changed when he got married. He shared his problems with his girlfriend and her lover wanted to help him get out of his gambling addiction.

I've also read a response in this forum from a guy who testified that his lover saved him from gambling addiction. It shows how love could be the highest of them all. When an addict is close to someone he loves, his interest in gambling gets shifted automatically to that person. Hence, helping him to focus on rethinking himself. He also listens to the advice of this person, another strong benefit that could change him close to instantly. Though it's hard for them opening up to a close friend helps the healing process of a gambler. The person who received such information should endeavor to help by acting as a therapist. But the confusing aspect of this remains that not everyone knows what next to do upon hearing this.

In a situation like this, if they've got the funds, forwarding the addict to a therapist is the best choice. Therapy could be done with anybody, but a person who isn't experienced in making the right moves or strategies won't see an effective result. The trial-and-error method isn't encouraged. Mental disorder is not a joke. It's painful to the person and everyone around him. Within himself, he'd be asking multiple questions on why he's acting strangely. Questioning the gambler is effective in helping him think and remember things he's forgotten about himself due to gambling addiction. He, the addict, can also travel to meet people who will help restrict his actions. Sometimes a strict procedure should be applied.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: March 24, 2024, 08:00:27 PM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying

I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?

Do you yourself think that the casino system knows the schemes by which it works? Probably yes. How can they scam you out of more money if you don’t win when you bet small amounts of money? I don’t know what type of gambling you play, but if it’s an online casino, then you should immediately understand that, most likely, you will lose more money than you earn, because otherwise the existence of a casino makes no sense.

Most gamblers will, forever, always feel like they're in some form of competition with the house. Nothing is wrong with whatever result we get while gambling. But players fail to realize this and complain at the slightest change they notice in the casino. Players are expected to gamble at will, not feeling inferior to the house. Personally, casinos offer lots of benefits to gamblers who follow a good strategic pattern of playing games. Playing victim to the house only leads to more losses. Deep down the player will never gamble comfortably the moment he begins to suspect something fishy is with the house. The house can be run by con artists, but that doesn't change the fun of playing games online. Sometimes this happens for the low rollers to increase their gambling amount.

The moment they lose the money, their wagering amount will be reduced immediately, and then he wins again with a small amount. The player, indeed, will have a strange feeling about the house. Yet it makes no meaningful change for the gamer. It's good to observe this, but devising a better means of reducing the losses is better than complaining. The casino is designed to earn money to run the business for consistent quality service rendered to gamblers. How would you feel to wake up and hear that a casino you gamble with filed for bankruptcy and shut down? Isn't it saddening? That's why they devise these strategies of harvesting more money for the management. Gamblers, on the other hand, should also play carefully not to become victims.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: March 24, 2024, 07:44:17 PM
I personally don't think that it is possible for a gambler to make a career out of gambling, because first of all gambling isn't a job it is just an entertaining activity that some people enjoy and should just spend a certain amount of money in it that can either be refundable or doubled or he can afford losing.
It is a very stupid idea to rely on gambling as a main source of income and expect yourself to make a successful career out of it, simply because it is not a fixed salary nor money that stays. It is true that some gamblers get so lucky that they make decent amount of money out of it but we can't deny that most of people lose a lot of money too, so it is not a 100% secure money.
The only successful career that can be made out of gambling belongs to casino owners either online or offline.

Yes, of course that is undoubtedly true, Gambling owners are the most likely to succeed in their gambling career. I don't know if there is any fraud or trickery for the owners of these casinos.

As for individuals who gamble, they should consider gambling as an entertainment game. Do not see this as a place to make your career. Those who are successful in playing this game, luck has blessed them. Even good players are just losers if they don't have luck. Personally, I find that not being addicted to gambling is truly a success for me. And people are playing this game of chance.

Being addiction-free is enough gambling success, indeed. This has to change the context of this thread; people shouldn't think success revolves around making consistent money via gambling. We all know it's impossible to win all the time. Making it out of addiction is a success. A gambler can be successful in multiple ways, not just about money. If he consistently meets up with the requirements of his strategy, he'd be considered successful in that aspect. Players who only think of making gambling a career should think of a company where they get paid to use their money to run the company, with the promise that they'll win big sometime, someday.

The false gambling information or message passed down to new gamblers is so convincing that they accept it as true. And they go ahead to try it out but get disappointed, finally. Unfortunately, they can't do anything about it, the blame is on them for not picking up the responsibility for their actions. Gambling is fun, but too much of it isn't. Let's say a person gambles every day as a career, he'd get tired of it over time. Not being able to associate with loved ones, meet new friends, etc. is all parts of the world that make this place a better place. Hence, taking up gambling as a career isn't encouraged. It's a boring career, nobody should be encouraged to try it out.

651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling until you go totally broke on: March 24, 2024, 04:40:19 PM
Gambling until you go totally broke is just a sign of addiction an irresponsible gambling, and it need to be stopped else the person might even start taking loans to gamble or even start engaging in fraudulent activities to get money for gambling. And one of the major causes of gambling till you go broke is chasing after your loss. The fear of returning home with half of your salary of money for something else is just pandering your heart and you think the only solution to play more, maybe you'll get lucky and then win it back, but that is just a trap to loose even more.
Yes, I would agree with you, his actions define one who is addicted or on the process of getting addicted. It may look common to him, but he doesn't know the danger and consequences of his action. You better talk him into reducing his level of gambling if it exceeds more than this, he may go broke, owe loans and probably become homeless.

The guy in the context is quite not fully addicted, but his attitude shows he could get addicted. However, we are not sure of the level of addiction he's got. It's a story he told the Op, nobody knows if his gambling friend made it up or not, to fetch money to gamble more. But, taking it as the truth, he could be close to addiction, and if he's receiving enough funds from his stories, he may end up normalizing the behavior, till he's fully addicted. Most gamblers who earn salaries, jeopardize the purpose of the money they receive from their company. However, it's not worth it to go back home with nothing after visiting the casino, looking for more money always hits the senses of the supposed gambler. Moreover, life begins to get difficult financially in the gambler's life. And he could develop some emotional troubles.

What you said, Obim, corresponds with my previous response, Op has work to do, which is reaching out to his friend. He could need serious help. Unfortunately, they may be living in a far distant locality. On the other flip, come to think of it, people also spend money on other utilities until they go broke. Going broke isn't bad, I mean, why is it so difficult for gamblers to make it out of brokenness when gambling is the cause of it? Everyone goes broke at some point, after purchasing or paying some bills. Gamblers only have to resist the urge to finish their money with no regard for other responsibilities. I think that's what affects players. The load from other bills; food, electricity, etc hits them hard. And the person will fall back into depression.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 24, 2024, 04:16:38 PM
It is an addiction. You are also losing which is another sign that it is an addiction. If you have stopped this habit, it will be good. If you do not stop, it may later has side effect on your health and which you will not like. I have this habit before but I have also stopped since few years ago. If you do not have time to gamble, do not gamble. If you want to gamble, gamble with little amount of money.
Being able to enjoy gambling in free time is the real success. People who gamble a lot don't even care about their free time they always want to gamble and while gambling they become addicted to gambling. And if they are addicted to gambling, it damages their health as well as financial loses. So these things should always be kept in mind while gambling so that they can realize their mistakes quickly. And it helps a lot to protect yourself from gambling addiction

Somehow, it's addiction to the mistake not gambling. It sounds weird that one experiences a mistake and doesn't want to stop it. What then pushes him to repeat it, other than some symptoms of addiction? I think Op should gamble during weekends when he's got free office time. From his last line, it seems he's rendering out some advice to gamblers not to behave this way. Hence, he could be feeling better from this attitude. Gambling is a game for relaxation. Gamblers must participate when they have enough time to focus, and not to bother over anything. Imagine rushing for office and staking a few games in a hurry. It'll only affect the gambler's performance. Hence, affecting his funds and productivity. However, there must be a free moment for everyone, regardless of the nature of their work.

But, if a gambler is too busy that he's not able to focus while gambling, I think he should give gambling a break, till his vacation time. Then, he'd enjoy gambling very well. Insisting on this behavior will affect his productivity in his place of work, thereby risking his future. Gambling is a very sensitive game, and players need to take it very seriously. Especially when it has to do with work and business. These things generate money for gambling and other financial responsibilities. Hence, a gambler who doesn't respect his source of income due to gambling isn't prepared to remain responsible for a long time.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 24, 2024, 03:51:42 PM
You can't tell unless you have had experience in gambling and the experience is what teaches you when to stop. If you sure conversant with winning, your body will understand and if you are conversant with the pain of loss, you will know when it's time to pack your bags and leave the casino or put the phone down. With my experience with sportsbets, if an initial deposit has been made and bets are been stake on and upon seeing the result on my different bets, if my bets give me break even, I don't wory and I try again but if that initial deposit give some good profits, I take out the profits and continue with the same amount of the initial deposits.

However, if my games gives me a minor loss, I wouldn't bother, will continue playing until I win something worth my time but as soon as the initial deposit is affected, I take my love from the betting platform and I don't risk another money even though my brain is trying to convince me that there is a simple game I can make some money from, I don't buy into such temptation, before warn is before harm they say and that's what I do when it come to gambling.

You've got a nice strategy I prefer playing with a specific amount, then whenever there is a fresh win, it means added time to my gambling session. I don't care about the funds; times play a vital role this time. The funds are calculated so that I'll know the amount able to take me till the designated time has been met. So, the wins mean that the session can be enjoyed for extra minutes. Meaning that no funds will be added once the time has been exhausted, instead, I continue gambling with the profits. This allows me to enjoy the fun completely and wouldn't bother playing again till the whole day is over.

Most gamblers find it hard to satisfy themselves with enough fun in gambling, by not gambling for a good period. It's not about the money I'd repeat this, what matters is getting the satisfaction, that the thought of gambling would get us exhausted. Once money has been crafted out for gambling purposes it'll be used for that till we are tired. The wins can also be carried over to the next day. It only takes discipline to maintain such strategies, even yours, which demands that a gambler wouldn't deposit another fund when his designated banking roll has been exhausted.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 24, 2024, 03:28:35 PM

View gambling as though you are looking at life, problems don't end. Humans keep meeting unique versions of troubles, that keep making life look harder, but deep down it's those obstacles that make the life journey fun. Hence the gambling mistakes that continually occur help gamblers to continue gambling, and not get tired of it. Consider when you are done with a video game and feel like you've mastered it, playing it won't be fun anymore compared to when it gets harder each time you try. Gambling losses happen consistently to make players understand they haven't mastered the game. Hence the house controls it this way to get hold of every gambler's curiosity to win all the time.
For me, I don't have to master it but experiencing fresh mistakes as I gamble is actually a good journey that I'd always remember. It makes me want to improve more with my decisions so that I won't commit mistakes that I have done already. If it's new then I'd accept that and will add that up to the list that I have learned already and won't do it again. Anyway, just enjoy as you gamble and whatever is the outcome of it and when you're creating mistakes. Make sure that they're not going to lose your entire fund.

Do you think that gambling mistakes are limitless? using this strategy you may end up making no further mistakes in gambling. Because having thoughts on this, I was wondering how many mistakes exist in gambling. There could be many ranging from chasing losses to emotional troubles, mood swings, addiction, etc. But if a gambler is able to bypass chasing losses, he may have solved lots of his future gambling mistakes. As gamblers only have to face win or loss. How it came about, is not in our jurisdictions, being inquisitive to correct the losses, is a well-known gambling mistake. Undergoing a process as you do, could lead to mastering yourself towards any possible gambling mistakes, as you may experience them all, and make notes on all gambling mistakes available.

That's why I mentioned mastering it. You can as well expand my horizon on these endless mistakes in your context. At first, I thought you were referring to a mistake repeating itself, but this time getting in check with the mistakes not to repeat them again, got me thinking of newly possible gambling mistakes. But if you enjoy this, it's great. I understand that gambling is unique and different for everyone. Hence, what you experience is quite strange to mine. Take it gradually and stay responsible in all the processes that erupt anytime you gamble.

Your narration is exactly what also happen to me before but my own was removing like 3 game which have already started out of my prediction and replaced with 3 other games but in all the 3 I added, 2played together with other games but 1 still cut the game. I was very angry a terrified seing that I lost the game I could have won. And my instincts was telling me to allow the game to continue and I refused. but went ahead and added some games.
As a gambler, there's enough roles to play and risks to be  levelled upon because it's mainly your decision as a vital roles in gambling and most importantly, We're milking from the system back to back, atleast it'd the only evidence that show a gambler to be making huge moves in the market. We're humans and we have instincts and they're very active when it involves the system. Our instincts play a vital role in these our bets, never stop throwing attempts of games because instincts directs us on what to do specifically, making our losing ratio reduced.

Gamblers should learn to respect their instincts to the extent of knowing when to follow them. Because our instincts can work in a tricky way. Whatever side of thought the gambler chooses is his instinct. Imagine if you never played the three games, Pi-network, and they ended up being positive, you'll still blame it on not listening to your instinct. Both thoughts came from the brain, and one must be right and the other wrong. I remember playing a roulette game, one morning, and the same thing happened my instinct suggested I choose red, and I picked black, then the ball stopped at red. If I had chosen red and the ball stopped at black, I would have called it instinct as well.

Hence, in a game of prediction, whenever a player loses, he shouldn't bother about the other thoughts of what he had played, being the right one. The day happened to be different. And the gambler doesn't have any reason to bother over his mistakes. Yes, we have to listen to our instincts, how do we differentiate which one amongst the double thoughts is right? That's the foundation of gambling. When a person is left with two options, he only has the privilege to pick one. Nothing more nothing less. Nearly cannot kill a bird, as gamblers, we have to move on. Swimming in the ocean of regrets and mistakes only leaves the gambler in the past. Instead of focusing on his next game, he'd wander a lot on his past one. Thereby, repeating mistakes in the next game, as he's not prepared to make the right decisions.

Sometimes after making a predictions of 10 games and taking them to your bet, only 1 out of that ten would bring about the loss of the entire game. Though it's painful but that feeling of getting close to making a win is what keep the hopes up and sometimes this can be the fun part where you told a friend that you are not sure of that particular game. Lossing money is not fun in real sense but when you feel like spending some cents rather than using a huge amount then your loses won't even bother you.
How a gambler feels after losing a gamble depends on his bet amount and intention. When someone places a large amount of bet and his intention is that if he can win this bet then he can earn a lot of money from it. then if he loses in gambling it will hurt him a lot and he will never be happy in this case. But if one goes to gambling for fun and bets a small amount maybe $0.1-$2 in this case he will accept it with a smile even if he loses the bet. so gambling is not the same for everyone and has different feelings for different people.  It depends on the intention of every individual

Hearing players complain over losing out on a game due to a single match, makes me wonder why gamblers decide to pick multiple predictions. It's quite much for the player to analyze. I don't think gamblers should recklessly pick games, due to greed. The more it accumulates, the higher the amount. Looking at it, the gambler would add more, hoping to win in all games. That's weird, we all need to understand that a few games work fine. At least a gambler should wager his money on teams he's aware of and focus on analyzing their win and loss history. The fun for the gambler appears when he sees the amount he could win, and wagers. Sadness reappears the moment the results return void. Money has been lost, a huge one at that.

The house will have the best smile on the gambler's loss. But if the player is only wagering a smaller amount, he wouldn't have to feel sad over his losses. The game gets fun for him every single time, and his emotions will remain stable. Nothing is special about feeling sad when gambling. It develops no changes or makes any difference in the game. Instead, the player out of sadness will end up harnessing more losses. A good state of mind helps the thoughts of the gambler to be better. And sadness spoils the mood of a player. He'd have to act faster than he should, in his chase for loss. What is best is enjoying the game, by wagering the amount we are capable of losing.

Actually, games like slot machines are play based on intuition or gut feelings rather because their outcomes is usually random with no way for the gamblers to influence the result. For games like sports betting is where your skills and knowledge play important role. Research and analysis is useful in this category of gambling because it gives you additional information on the players or the team entirely to know the strategies to employ and the best options to help you win your bet. However, this doesn't make sports betting more easier than the slot games or guaranteed your winning but it gives you more control of your own bet and of course, increase your chances despite that analysis are not accurate sometimes.
Slot machines are based on luck, so you can't control the outcome. This can make them more exciting but also more addictive. Sports betting is different because you can use your knowledge and research to make smarter bets. This doesn't guarantee you'll win, but it gives you more control and can make the game more fun and strategic. One should always know that all gambling has risks, so it's important to be careful and think clearly before going ahead to gamble, in order to avoid gambling out of hand or gradually leading yourself to addiction.

Gambling, sports, or slots has its downside. Like what Op just felt in sports can occur in slot games as well. But in a different context. Slot game happens in a way the gambler will argue with his instinct on whether to hit the next button or stop. He'd imagine he could win on the next one, then try again, if he wins, he'd want to try again, believing that his idea worked. Although sports gambling allows the gambler time to watch the game without doing any other thing, other than thinking, slots put the gambler on steady thinking and gambling. He has no time to rest, he's free once the session is over. Sports betting and slots seem almost similar, and none is easier than the other.

I understand that knowledge and analytical strength are a plus for sports gamblers, but as you said, it doesn't guarantee a win. Like slots, being a professional doesn't mean you'd win. Gambling in any form can't be understood completely. What led Op to withdraw before the final whistle was blown was self-doubt. He didn't want to lose out completely. He wasn't wrong, he got what he wanted. Additionally, he got greedy when he realized that he could have won more if he left the funds untouched. It's a "had I known, I knew" situation, and the player can think about this for a long period.

A gambler who has entered the addiction phase is usually quite stubborn, they always claim to others that what they do is "normal and there is no harm", this is the confession of addicted gamblers who do not feel that they are addicted to gambling at all, and this is the reason why gambling addiction is difficult to overcome because this kind of disease is in the brain and mind of a person who has significant ambitions and preferences for gambling activities so that no matter how much you tell them by suggesting anything that leads to change for the better, they will usually ignore it.

Sometimes this situation can also become a problem between you and your friends, and maybe they will think that you are one of those people who interfere too much with other people's business. And I think it is a fact that an addicted person will only be able to stop when they have really felt the downturn that can traumatize them due to excessive gambling involvement, so if for example they do not appreciate your good intentions trying to help them then let it go because in the end time will answer with regret.

I don't think every gambling addict will be opportune to have this rethink without a helping hand. Yes, there are people who after a while of experiencing problem gambling will trace back to their roots seeking help. Pain helps to recuperate the brain. But a times, things happen as you said, the person feels his right on the inside. And people who claim to change his mind, always piss him off, because they don't sound friendly to him, anymore. They want to be left alone to keep chasing their goals. Since we all know that the result of gambling addiction is quite dangerous to society, reaching out to them still helps. It mustn't be about his addictive behavior or trying to get him sad telling him he's doing the wrong things. A quality conversation is a therapy. People want to discuss with those they love, it helps their brain feel better. The goal is to get the player on our side using a quality conversation as a key point.

Limitations are a nice idea for gamblers and will help anyone to excel in gambling. The problem revolves around self-control and discipline. Gamblers, find it hard to realize why they can't stick to the limitations they made available for their good and financial stability. However, they forget it's an actively steady action that shouldn't be neglected. Lossing can help a gambler erase his limitations from his thoughts. The urge to continue gambling consistently occurs in the gambler's mind. Hence, he may not get hold of himself anymore, as he needs to get back his funds. Addiction sets in the moment a gambler is no longer in control of his behavior. The addiction level increases gradually, and the player forgets every single financial target he has to practice.

I prefer that naive gamblers get a coach who'll guide them on what to do or not. Gambling urge remains what it is, players need to focus on becoming responsible at all costs. Imagine the pain addiction puts on an entire family or society. It's something we have to be careful about. Playing on our own self-promises can be dangerous, many players have tried this and failed. Read lots of gambling books as a gambler and realized how hard it is to gamble alone, with no mistakes that could lead to addiction. Having a gambling buddy can help us cross-check our behaviors in the form of examining the fresh habits of one another.
Limitation will helps anyone in gambling because they can prevents themselves from using more money and more time to playing gambling and will knows when they must stop playing gambling. Gamblers will realizes that playing gambling doesn't have to be too long as that can makes them lose much money and forget about the limitation. Their financial will not be stable if they already playing gambling from a long time before because they will thinks that gambling is their main things that they must fills. They will not thinks to doing the other things as they already have gambling that can be their focus in their lives. That's why they must always learn and practice about self-control to limits themselves in playing gambling so they don't have a problem later.

A gamblers must knows how to treat gambling properly so they can prevents the trouble and not trying to playing gambling too long as that can makes them difficult to leave gambling. Playing gambling with limitation will helps them to playing gambling without worry with anything and can enjoy gambling as an entertainment. When they face a problem, they can share it to their family and asked for helps so they will have a chance to prevents the addiction because they gets helps from the right person. Their family and friends can be besides them while they are playing gambling and always reminds if they are almost excessively for playing gambling so they can still on their limits.

A family member observing the gambler as though he's a coach can be detrimental to the supervisor if he's a non-gambler. It's more tempting for the non-gambling to try out the game. I think gamblers should be the observers of other players when they're gambling. Putting a non-gambler in this place will only get the person wondering if he should gamble. Especially when the person he's watching plays wins some money. I think that's enough to make him forget his task is monitoring the gambling in his home. Gamblers are meant to be flexible. They need to maintain a good relationship with other players, especially, those who have been experienced in the game. They are always willing to help gamblers with problems to relieve their stress and become better players.

However, it's hard to get them in all localities, but the task of that gambler will be better than a non-gambler. He's used to the game and can't get bothered over any outcome anymore. A family member's duty is more appreciated when he discusses and converses with the gambler to help him feel other aspects of life. I don't feel comfortable allowing a non-addict to see my screen while on a gambling site. I easily switch to another tab. Because he could visit the website, and wager with no prior experience, which may lead him to trouble.

The pressure is high when you are down to your last bet, that's why most of us losses because we want to get back immediately so we lose our discipline. However, if we will just follow the proper bankroll management, there's a chance that we will be able to recover because in gambling, losing streak and winning streak are just normal, and we should always be ready when that time comes.

But sometimes that's how people gain strength to bet all they have for thinking that this is their last shot and if they can able to win then its up for them to continue or just pull out there money out of those casinos. But winning is not totally have more higher chance to occur on this since losing will most likely come out especially if we are been so nervous for seeing the possible result and for sure we are bothered then maybe cannot place good bet due to unwanted things that they don't imagine that might happen.

Losing streak or winning streak is normal and its just this matter will depend on how a person can handle their situation since and they should be more prepared on something like this to happen since taking decisions will matter depends on what they want to happen on that scenario.

Yes, whatever outcome a gambler faces he should be prepared to receive it and act accordingly. Not everyone would be comfortable having a losing streak without feeling the pain. The same applies to gamblers who are lucky to hit a winning streak, they could get carried away with the belief that the streak is not yet over and lose out in a big way. I think Casino has thought the game till the end. Whatever a player faces win or lose, the house is well prepared. Imagine, most gamblers still don't know how the house benefits from the winning streaks. Winning guarantees the house that a gambler will be back soon to try again. Hitting a winning streak, and possessing no control over the decision to make, is as good as not having it in the first instance. It'll all disappear.

A winning streak could be a straight-up win for 4 consecutive times. It's enough to convince a player that his gambling strategy is the best. He'd try it next time, and always, tried to convince people to try his strategy. I've read a thread of a member who tried to talk down other players for trying his strategy. Maybe he had some winning streaks and thinks it'll be that way for long. Those experiences do, not often. The house designs them to deceive players with a weak self-control skill. Thereby getting them to gamble over their limits and expected wagering amount. As they'll need to take advantage of this opportunity, not knowing it's a trap. Gambling is fun, however.
