641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: March 31, 2016, 09:39:15 AM
Can you please keep your New Economic Movement BS fanboys out of the Lisk thread please.

They are asking stupid things as stupid they are. But here I guess they are right.

Thanks.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: March 31, 2016, 09:36:06 AM
paid ads!

Curious to hear where you found this, because the project has no record of it, nor has it spent money on advertising. So be careful with wherever it links - I wouldn't click it.

it was displayed on http://mybitmine.co/index.php (faucet/game) among other ads rotating. glad i didn't click it  Angry

It leads directly to https://decred.org. I got curious and used my sandbox. It's a straight redirect from a-ads.com with no detours I could find.

yeah https://decred.org is a known spam page, completely scam, people playing a pyramide game. Dont click on it. Dont get involved. Outsiders calling this kind of spam 'shitcoin'.

You guys can yell at each other as much as you want, I don't care. In fact, I'll read it to entertain myself.
But I don't think, this thread is the right place to
a)make buy/sell offers and
b)scream at each other about how stupid the other person is.

Now, can somebody please ask when the launch is to get this thread back on track? Tongue

I am a newbie and i know there are 73 different places i can find out that the release date is estimated to be on the 11th of april.........but when is launch? Tongue

there we go back to normal lol

I'd rather expect the launch will be in May. The Lisk team cold face some delays and stuff.

It should launch, when there is a proof Dapps are working properly. Now its a toy.

1. First some serious Dapps running
2. Reworking Lisk
3. Launch in Summer

NEM is definitly NOT open source even its using namecoins and peercoins tech.

LISK is open source. Everyone is having the right on the code

What MS is saying: if you want to make money by giving your code to devs, then we will charge you. If you just want reaching out the market with us, then its free for you.

NEM is using Namecoin and Peercoin tech? what are you trying to say? NEM is built from scracth, not a single line of code copied from any other coin.

Dont talk shit if you dont have any fuc**** idea about something, you are one of those ignorants who just praise the coin which they own, your post was on this thread so i had to reply here not on NEM thread. Namespaces and Namecoin? haha You have no freaking idea about anything.

Its a technology similar like PPC (very complicated POS with Excel sheet BS) and NMC, its not copied, like 1:1. Its written new JavaScript and its NOT open source, what mean I cant fork it. THATS the important thing. Anything else?

Namespaces are the evolution revolution, good, believe it, that a domain name is completely different as NMS. You care, I dont.

Once again. Shut the f*** up about NEM or get deleted, boy.

its not a NEM Thread neither other shitcoin Thread here.

Is it?

Or you want to explain the differences of POI to POS here?
Or you want to explain the differences of Namespaces and Namecoin?
Or you want to explain if Satoshi Nakamoto in persona wrote the blockchain for NEM and BTC in parallel of if NEM having no blockchain at all.

Its Lisk Thread right?

NEM Thread having 1200 pages, go there. Dacor or KMA

NEM (XEM) decided not to join Azure, because it gives away all your rights. Read below.

Quote
The tech team, rb2 and Patmst3r, worked hard in getting NEM into a docker for Azure. In case some of you who may not know Azure, it is a Microsoft cloud computing platform and infrastructure. Recently, some months ago, Microsoft opened up Azure for crypto projects to place their solutions there in the cloud repository so that testers are able to download and testbed these initiatives from one location.

We spent a considerable amount of time getting this done. Unfortunately, at the last stage of our submission we were shown the agreement. In the agreement, to put our solution up there, requires us to give away all our rights. This is not quite palatable.

From http://blog.nem.io/status-on-the-azure-project/

Did Lisk sign this agreement?

At LISK launch initial delegates will be rewarded per block or will be some blocks with no reward or reduced reward to allow people to make their votes?

estimated 1 week - no reward. RTFM.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 29, 2016, 09:16:30 PM
There is no reason to FUD...coin not started Tongue
I think now is the only moment they can fud, because there's "nothing" ready, while after the release, they can't fud because will be fact that will make them disappear to another new coin to fud

haha agreed.
bottom line is anyone will be crazy not to buy under 100k first weeks (100k is first barrier to break then 500k then 0.01 and so on imo)
this is a project that wether or not you develop or be a part of a DAPP or even delegate, it WILL break 0.01, and onwards
dont know when but it will
so dont be caught slippin, if you feel you missed the boat on eth , dont this time
we will be lucky if you can grab under 100k

Thats the real FOMO (fear of missing out) bullshit. Wow, you can be our Alpha Kelvin for making FOMO! You won my heart  Kiss

Half of the community think LISK is a scam to make the devs rich and to bail out the loser coin crypti. As crypti was a fail and Lisk is a copy-paste-thing of it, what do you think, where Lisk is going to go? You can be happy selling for the ICO price before being dumped under $1Mill.

This Fud should make you selling your coins cheap, so i can buy them hehe
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 29, 2016, 07:51:23 PM
FUD par excellance!

Thank you for this
i like it
Thanks

I want at least  3xFUD and 2xFOMA with Lisk before I drop out of trading and going to vote for a deligate node   Cool

Why all this FUD on Lisk? Huh

Because the FUDder want to buy some cheap lisk (on the various exchange after the launch). Basically they are spreading FUD (Fear, uncertainty and doubt) to cause a dump.

some good FUD ...

and pretty good FOMO (fear of missing out) ...  I suggest to have plenty of BTC ready at the exchanges to buy more Lisk once it launches, before it rises above $3 to $5.

better FOMO: I will buy in with a huge amount of stash and sell all my ETH to get some LISK at start guys!

If we remember what happened to Decred (0.00360000) in the first day,  Lisk can reach that price smoothly.

Decred dev didn't ask money in advance.
They give 1 btc for free to about 3k people. who applied for airdrop.

There is quite a huge difference eh?.

Decred team is fenomenal, dozen of people working for free. They deliver every day new stuff on code.
Decred could reach 0.1 within 2 months for sure.

Should we care about this? because i really don't....

no one is working for free, ever!

bought in, one month ago and following. nice to see so much people interested in tech.

Wonder how all of you feel about azure taking away rights from bloackchain devs:

http://bitcoinist.net/microsoft-bullies-open-source-is-the-blockchain-their-next-target/

NEM decided not to do it and not to sell out:

http://blog.nem.io/status-on-the-azure-project/

if its open source, then you show your code to public, you allow everyone to use it, or fork it. You agree giving your rights on the new forge to the one forged. They cannot sell the product either, because they having no rights to do that, what i understand.

If NEM want to be proprietary then its not full open source, then there is the question, what they do in the public crypto coins sector and not just built their own private blockchain.

However

ETH, Lisk, Augur cant be so wrong going on Azure
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 29, 2016, 01:09:45 PM
11th April here we come Smiley 250k satosh

Everything below would be a waste to sell really, it can get 1/10th of ethereum there cap.

I guess selling on the 11th will not give you 150k satoshi a lisk, neither 250k or 1/10th of ethereum caps

I will keep my Lisks for note voting and a steady income.  Finger crossed !

My delegate node is up and running on my local testnet. If anyone wants any help in setting up a node, let me know. Be sure to add me to any voting list!  I am testing on my local network. I will be setting up my main delegate node on a VPS in London and running one on my home PC (Kent, UK) But i am not campaigning for votes for this one. I am only having it to help secure the network.

Visit my facebook page if your haven't, https://www.facebook.com/lisklondon/info/?tab=page_info,  and get in contact with me if your from the UK!! I want to plan some competitions for the start of the first term of the 16/17 year at universities etc. 70% of my node is being locked away into funding DApp development competitions. I have no interest in taking any of it. I have enough LISK from my initial ICO investment and the 30% i am keeping for node maintenance, i am sure in years to come, will be enough.

If LISK does get to silly money, i will lower my stake from 30% -10%. I don't want to be earning money being part of the 101. I want to secure the network and fund development.

Good luck to everybody, remember to give us a shout if you need any help.

Pinkman.

So pinkmann is in the series a heavy druguser and drugdealer And there are people chearing up with druguser and drugdealer with a serious mult-million-company, which is working with fintech technology. Fintech, where seriousity and reliability is the key.

Lisk good luck!
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 28, 2016, 08:42:21 AM

I read the article and i find the arguments moooore as just funny.

So even with the 100x less security (?) for bitcoin, what i find completely bullshit to say (you have a computer or an asic you want  and to hack or you want to group all the hashshare to break bitcoin) 101 delegates is a joke of security in my eyes.

Thats like 101 nodes, btc having over 6000,
1 hash/15 sec to 1,2*10000000000 hashes/15 sec

If you want security, you cant go without sha256, merged mining or script. Valueing network and blockchain and coinsupply, Pow is the only one solution, we know is working and scaleable up to 25 transactions a second. PoS we dont know how it will work with 5 transactions a second.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 27, 2016, 12:23:05 PM

your missing the vital points here;

step 1; buy ico
step 2; dont ask fucking questions
step 3; PROFIT

With current prices a Delegate makes $10.000 a year / costs of running  node : $50

So when the price get up 5x he is going to make $50.000 a year / costs of running node : $50

I think thats looking like a snowball system. Holding coins to vote for positions for getting more coins.

With that strategy this coin will blew up into scam sector.

Why not distribute the coins as much as possible with PoW and the PoS like other coins. Experiment, right.

I am sure adjusting the numbers would make it not a scam like it seems to be here. Seriously, $50k for setting up a node? Even 10 nodes costs just $500!
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 24, 2016, 06:50:59 AM

Hi guys, congratulations for being part of Lisk.

I bought my ones on day 1.

I follow this talk since day one but this is my first comment in here.

I will write in the Topic of delegates.

Because we need delegates, I will give my vote to the one who share profits with his voters (us) so in that case we also we can give away some to others to integrate them in the community,  also I will give my vote to someone who works for the good name of Lisk and his community (us and future members)

a delegate has to be someone who is not just getting rich by himself, a delegate "I suggest" should be someone with projects in mind to spread Lisk, I will suggest that delegates should consider to donate dapps to the community, for schools, hospitals, we should create dapps to fight world poverty, also providing faucets etc....

opportunities are endless, you guys (community) are some of the most clever people in the world so ideas are unlimited, so delegates I want to encourage you to work along with Max and Oliver and the Lisk community to bring this project to a whole new level, if we work and push this together Lisk, like in the ICO, Lisk will go far an above our imagination and our expectations.

so if you want my vote I'm happy to support you, if you commit yourself for the community, well you have my vote, if any of you are in Melbourne Australia well lets do it. may be we can do this as a team.

have a good day guys!!!!1

There should be only delegates, which are making dapps or running successfull marketing operations.

everything else is a joke of delegate and there will be alot of them, people cashing up for talking alot and doing nothing productive. dont think thats going to change until 11. April. the best guy here is making excel spreadsheets and wants to become a delegate LOL.

The start of Lisk should be delayed by some three months, until there can be found people which can really support Lisk as a delegate.

The best distribution of tokens is non Asics POW mining. Everyone with a computer can contribute and is keeping the tokens mostly for himself to see them growing. The network should be scaled to support rather 1000 nodes, not just 100 nodes(delegates) IMO as long there are no 'real' people who want and can contribute more to Lisk as an avarage loser Joe.

What a kiddie circus here. They want to start shooting at each other...

good luck!
660  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Placing machines outside on cold winter? -20 on: March 24, 2016, 06:16:24 AM
If the temperature is -20 in your area, why not put the miner in home to get some heating out of the miner?

The amount of heat output is not enough to heat an ENTIRE house.

That really depends on many things:

1. The size of the house

2. How many miners you have

3. The temperature you want in the house

For example I'm okay with around +15C in my room so even one miner would be enough to make me feel comfortable. Of course I live in a flat surrounded by another flats which are warm.... so maybe tha's why ... Yep, for the entire single house one miner is definitely not enough.

You're seriously comfortable at 15C inside? Tongue Are you wearing wool? ^^

This is a bit off topic, but yes, of course I'm wearing wool: wool sweater and wool socks. And when I sit behind the computer more than an hour I use a wool blanket to cover my legs. The big advantages of the fresh air I have in the room are: no headaches, no fatigue. You should try it yourself.

i was thinking heating with miners is not healthy, as the electronics are releasing toxic materials into the air.
