641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 20, 2022, 06:46:02 AM
Now that is way too much. If Real gets both of those players (and let’s not forget the rumour that they are interested in Mbappe) that would be just way too good. They already have a great club, and their roster is amazing, Benzema may have won ballon d'or but he is 35, which means eventually they will have to replace him.

So in a dream world they would get Mbappe eventually, and have davies and Jude too, adding that three into this roster means they would automatically become the best club in the world, would be beating everyone by 5 easily, that’s just way too good, unrealistic even. I am 99.99% sure they cannot get all of them, maybe just one.
I am not saying that it will be easy for them to get it, but we are talking about real Madrid here. Which means, if they get davies+jude+mbappe together, that would be around 300 million give or take. Davies is worth 70 million give or take according to the transfermarkt, and there isn't a release clause for him, which means it should be somewhere around that level. Jude would be is about 90 million, and could get him a bit cheaper since Dortmund usually takes a bit less, so let’s say 80 to him as well.

In that case it's already 150 million, I suppose Mbappe could be bought for around the same price, about 150 give or take, or maybe a bit more. So that should be around 300 million, maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. I know that’s a lot of money, but if any team could ever spend that much, it's Real, they have the funds to do that if they ever want to.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 19, 2022, 09:06:52 PM
Sevilla FC vs Valencia FC, there were many highlights in this match. 10 yellow cards, 1 red card, 10 player substitutions, 14 minutes of overtime and in minute 102 a penalty for Valencia that José Luis Gaya Pena missed. There were some very famous names playing yesterday: Cavani (scored a goal), Rakitic, Isco, Kluivert, Lamela (scored a goal) and a few others. Valencia now in 8th place and Sevilla in 11th place in La Liga. The game has more highlights than the el classico. Yesterday was the matchday of draw in Spain, 3 games = 3x draw.

It was a very active and somewhat tough match. In general, we can say that the tension of the game was high. We saw a lot of yellow cards, the last minute red card was very critical. There was no winner of the match due to the Valencia player missing a penalty.
Of course, it was not easy to take a penalty after such a tiring match, but Gaya missed a huge opportunity and could not get Valencia to win
It was a very tough match, moreover Sevilla is still recovering and this result is still good for them. Considering their situation this season has not been good, but if Sevilla are at their best then I'm sure Sevilla will win the match without the drama of so many yellow cards like that. The presence of several famous players does not guarantee that the team will win because even big teams with many famous players are also sometimes difficult to win, moreover Sevilla and Valencia only have a few famous players and all of them are old.
Sevilla is the team that would always be at a good level in la liga, never really a champion’s level team, but a team that plays in europa so well that it is jokingly said "sevilla cup" at this point, and they are almost always at the top half without a miss, which means they are getting a good long term success out of this if you ask me.

These type of games coming out of europa or the cup back to the league game is something they are very used to, they have done it so many times and that means players and the management feels a bit more at ease about it and know what to do when that happens, and that is how they get better than expected results.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Crude Oil drops below $100 on: October 19, 2022, 09:56:40 AM
Why should I want the oil prices to rise? Here in India, we import more than 85% of the crude oil that we consume and at this point we are not just suffering from sky high oil prices, but also from the devaluation of the Indian Rupee (went down by more than 10% since the start of this year). What that means is that the crude oil trading at $90 per barrel now is equivalent to a price of $100 per barrel (due to the weakening of the Rupee). The situation is not sustainable in the long run. The government is under a lot of pressure.
This is happening in my own nation as well, there are just way too many nations who have devalued fiat, which means that oil is getting higher means it’s not really going higher just alone, fiat also devalues so it’s even higher, and there are situations where our fiat devalued so much that even while oil was going down, we are paying a lot more in reality.

I am paying 10% of my salary for gas prices just for my travels, and I do not even go to work with my car every day, if I did that then I would be paying even more, this is for just regular stuff. So, oil prices going down didn't really changed a thing for us, it should be going down even more, or we should be earning a lot more.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 18, 2022, 08:55:10 PM
^^Union Berlin will not stay there for too long, I can guarantee it. They have played well enough so far, but it was a fluke if you ask me and they are going to end up losing in the end. I am not saying that they are going to be terrible or anything like that, but I am sure that it’s going to be something like top 5 finish for them and not the top.

I remember it was I think wolfsburg that started with like 5/5 wins or something last year, and look where they finished. It doesn't matter how you start, everyone could have a hyped start, it is only important how you finish, and most of these clubs do not finish that well, they eventually get tired.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: October 18, 2022, 08:08:22 PM
This league was always dominated by the Feyenoord and Lazio all the time.Lazio loss against the Midtjylland was not an expected one. Most of the team members thought Lazio will be the hero of the match. But Feyenoord also not able to make some good change against the Midtjylland. So it proved both the team was defend at the same level and the game of both team with same level. If this two grand masters made a game, they will draw the match with 2-2 for sure.
This league will become much more interesting than it already is as big teams will come soon here from the Champions League, every third team in the group stages of Champions League will come here and especially a great entry would be Barcelona.Lazio is a great team for the Europa League as they are also doing relatively well in the Serie A,then we have Manchester United and Arsenal from the Premier League here together with a couple of Spanish teams so it will become really beautiful this league in the near future.

So saying Feyenoord always dominate here against such teams does not make a lot of sense as there are much more powerful teams here and it will only get tougher.
@swogerino this is about group F but indeed, @usekevin doesn't seem exact because he just said (this League), not specifically linked it or said it about group F. So from what I understand it's not about Feyenoord overall dominating the Europa League, but just about group F. If you know, Feyenoord is the temporary leader of group F and Lazio are even in third place and also, all points in this group F are equal with each team having a total of 5 points so far.

Lazio had a different performance or maybe a different luck, because Lazio look better in Serie A but here in the Europa League they are not lucky enough. Because if I consider the opponents in Group F on paper, of course Lazio is a seeded team, but in fact Lazio still need a bigger effort to win the group because their opponents so far can provide difficult gameplay for Lazio.
I feel like there is a big difference, who are playing in Europa, things are a little bit more difficult because it is both clubs from great leagues, and they are great clubs, so you are not facing Italian bad clubs, you are facing continental best clubs, but also you can't have recovery here, in the league you could lose 3 games in a row, and win 5 in a row and still be at the top, here you have to either win, or you are gone and that added pressure makes players a lot more afraid.

These two things combined makes some teams who are great at league play terrible at europa, and teams terrible at league, play great in europa, all the difference is these two things.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 18, 2022, 06:20:23 PM
Dortmund is not in good form right now. They have won just one of their last 5 matches and lost three matches. In these 5 matches, they scored 4 goals and conceded 10 goals. It is quite clear that their performance this season is due to the weakness of the defense. Attacking weakness alone was not the main reason for their defeat. I would say if Dortmund coach Edin Terzić is able to strengthen his defense then Dortmund's performance will improve. And they will be able to return to the truck again. However, without the improvement in the performance of the defenders, the Dortmund team will not be able to fight for the title.
In this season we have few German sides which are suffering badly and have decline in quality like Bayern Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund but good thing happening for them, they are just three points behind from second rank team Bayern Munich which is giving them good hopes for going again at their spot around third or fourth but here they need good defence which is currently the biggest problem for them, and they are not able to stop conceding goals which are hurting them in last few matches.

Their attack is also not performing like they have done in their best hopefully now in coming transfer window they could be having some changes which will improve quality and their performance which must for them as they are second-best team in German League but now in this season they are going to have tough challenge for their spot because Freiburg and Union Berlin both are also doing good job.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: October 18, 2022, 06:11:22 AM
mine was tested already a few years ago and it's getting tested again. So, nothing new with that but basically the older years of bear were the harder ones.
But to condition your mind, you can think of it as this is just something that you should go easy and think of the projects that you're optimistic about because they'll be the ones you will be holding for a long time if that's part of your plan.
And if not, you should basically take a look at the experiences of others and if you think that you're struggling, use those as your motivation.
That is the issue here, people do not realize that we have been tested before as people who have been here for a while. I understand that it’s going to be a situation where it takes time for newbies to understand, but I have lost money on bad investments before and I will do it again probably, this is the unfortunate part but I learned how to pick good ones out of that issue.

Understanding what a project wants to do is key, if they really want to make a big move, and they shown promise on doing it, usually that’s a good thing. There has been a ton of projects who shown no promise at all and they have failed to make any profit to people, or shown a lot of promise, but never shown how they can do it.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: Global recession alarm, safe money on: October 17, 2022, 09:05:51 PM
At this point it feels kind of too late to sell Investments. A good opportunity to take a profit was when the Russia Ukraine war started, but since then prices have dropped so far that it feels wrong to sell now. Even though recessions are inevitable it feels better to sit out any further price drops. It comes down to if you expect things to get worse in the near future or not. We never know when the crisis is over and things could go back to normality really quickly. Another big concern I have with selling investments is the tax aspect, whenever there is a profit in trading the taxes need to be deducted. This reduces the profits by 25% and doesn't make it worth it in some cases. Better to sit this one out in my opinion in case inflation rises even higher.
It IS wrong to sell right now, there is no logical argument to make about current prices and getting out, it wouldn't make sense for anyone to get in and sell right now. It would have been better if you sold back in the day, when it was over 40k dollars, would be a good amount of loss, and could get back in at 50% cheaper and would be profiting quicker.

But, anyone who has waited since those days would not be able to get out of the situation we are in right now, that would make a lot of sense to just buy up even more and drop the purchase average and then you could sell after it goes up a bit, that’s how we are going to approach it when the time comes.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs are a waste of time on: October 16, 2022, 09:09:10 PM
These days there are still tons of people keep wasting their time and fees to earn garbage NFTs. Even after this thread being created and so many people didn't even aware if these NFT were so garbage as trash. NFT basically was a trash that being sold for money due to the hype.
People who bought NFT has been loosing tons of money. NFT is a way for us to spend our money for nothing.
That is mainly because there are way too many people who have made good chunk of money from the free NFT airdrops back in the day, hell even the priced ones that were like 20 dollars to 200 dollars, all got a lot higher back in the day, people tried to find ways to get in before anyone else so that it wouldn't run out before they bought it.

There are 10k collections that got sold out in a minute, and this wasn't rare neither. Which is the type of hype that stays with some people, if you turned your 100 dollars into 50k+ during the hype period, then you will not be over the fact that it’s not possible anymore during the bear market neither and keep trying your luck.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 16, 2022, 05:40:10 PM
The real problem is the injury some time ago in the international game of his players which made them slump immediately.
Actually in terms of performance especially at the start of the season they played really well but after losing a few players obviously this made a difference.

Lewandowski is short on supply in attack, their defense is not working well and the biggest problem is the unstable defense and lots of gaps.
But indeed this is likely only temporary because when some players recover clearly this is something that can indeed be good news for them.
We also shouldn't expect a manager, who came in at the half of the season last year, had maybe like a one or two temporary players that fits his system, then at the summer he got some more players for good this time, and be good after just 2 months.

Dude needs time to make the team better, but to be fair they are not bad neither, they are still by far better than the Koeman times, I mean the group they failed to go up last year was Bayern again that's true but it was Benfica instead of Inter and maybe they are close but Inter feels better. Right now, all they need is time to build chemistry, and I guarantee you that Xavi will many cups with them in this decade.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 16, 2022, 02:18:19 PM
When it was announced that Xavi Alonso is the current coach of Bayern Leverkusen, I wasn't expecting him to do a magic overnight but at least I expected him to build the team gradually till January when they will sign new players but the result of 5:1 is too massive loss for Leverkusen .

Frankfurt  does not score too many goals but they can defend so I am surprised to see such amount of goals even with a red card three goals would have been normal. I am hoping Xabi Alonso will succeed in his new club.
With the incident of Leverkusen's defeat, it showed Xavi Alonso that it was not easy to become a coach of Leverkusen, the task given was very difficult because he had to fix a lot of shortcomings from the previous coach, from overhauling the players and rearranging the strategies used and when they still lost Xavi Alon is still being blamed even though he has fought hard and it all depends on the players themselves who can follow instructions and play well or not.
I believe that the problem wasn't really on Xabi Alonso alone, the whole team played a very bad game and I am guessing that they will keep playing this way for a while longer as well. I feel like it's going to be something a bit more complicated than that, changing manager became something teams do very quickly and too early and usually that's not the problem.

We have seen how Ole played after Mourinho was fired, do you really think that Ole did better than Mourinho could have? It all started there and since then all these clubs fire managers too easily. Xabi did his best, and team just wasn't ready for such a big force, Frankfurt played better than anyone expected, I am sure even they didn't expected everything to go this well.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 16, 2022, 01:32:03 PM
The league is a little more exciting this year. Paris SG are the only team without a defeat. I thought they were going to dominate the league on their own and they are doing very well for now. They will play a very critical match against Marseille today. If Marseille wins, they will meet defeat in the league and have the same score. If Paris SG wins, the point gap will widen even more. There is an Mbappe crisis in these times and things may be different than usual at Paris SG.
Paris Saint German will continue their winning streak this season if they will Marseille in the Parc Des Princes stadium. We all know it's not going to be easy game for the parisians as they drawed their last game both in the champions league and their league game. Christophe Galtier will want to win this game inother to maintain a wide gap difference on the table. We might be expecting a draw from the game because Marseille are very good when it comes to defending tactics.
The only possible way for PSG to become bad would be the drama they have. If this Mbappe-Neymar-Messi drama continues, then they may become bad eventually, but if they are not causing enough trouble to lose, then they will of course easily beat any team in the league.

Right now the drama as its peak, and Mbappe is asking for the keys to the kingdom, and if they do that, they won't be as good, they need to convince him to be part of the machine, but he doesn't want to be. This means either Mbappe will win, or the team will win, and based on that each game is a risk right now. Let's see how this game will be, but not going to be simple by the looks of it.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2022, 01:01:53 PM
Mbappe is a young player, how it's make sense PSG sign Martinez as a potential replacement for Mbappe? Mbappe also doesn't care with trophy and only look for a club that can pay him as the highest salary player, so Mbappe wouldn't leave PSG.

While United they have sign Antony, moreover they have many strikers e.g. Sancho, Rashford, Ronaldo, Martial and Antony. Ten Hag is really stupid if he want to sign a new strikers.

Since Inter Milan isn't in good phase, I think Martinez should stay on there and keep carrying Inter Milan until become a champion at Serie A (at least).
I think it would still be good, Antony is at the right wing and not a striker, Ronaldo is 37, and neither Rashford nor Martial could even come close to how Mbappe is right now. I think with Mbappe's love for Ronaldo, it would be a simple sell, they would say Ronaldo is your childhood hero and he is here, and he played here before as well, and can convince him.

It's all about the finances, if they can afford him, then I believe they can convince him, but being able to afford him is not that easy, it would take nearly 200 million pounds (both player and team) at least, and that is not something the owners would like to do, it would be way too much, sure some of it will come back as jersey sales, but that's about it.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Every signal is a speculation on: October 15, 2022, 09:49:41 PM
Every sign or issue that occurs can certainly be a trigger for speculation, for example tweets from top influencers like Elon Musk who will buy it will affect the price, although not always true but good or bad signals are things we must respond quickly.
Yes, that's right, don't let us miss the signal given by Elon Musk,
because Elon Musk has been proven correct and even a tweet about $20000 the market responded well,
even though the price of Bitcoin last night was also a dump and resulted in a dump of altcoins,
but in the end it came back above $19 k may retest to $20k, hopefully it will and breakout.
I do agree that there are certain people like Elon or CZ that has some sort of power over the markets and that's understandable, they are really famous. But that doesn't mean that we should be doing it, it just means that we are doing it nonetheless when we shouldn't. They shouldn't dictate where our money should go, it shouldn't respond well or badly just because they tweeted something.

However, with someone that has tens of millions of followers on twitter, I would prefer this Elon who likes crypto, over someone who dislikes it. Elon can't give you any signals, he could just tweet about it, and people would react to his tweets and that's the deal.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 15, 2022, 09:14:03 PM
La Liga teams have their hand full. They should focus on La Liga and either the Champions League or Europa League since after covid, soccer matches are tightly packed. Too many strong teams in the Champions League and they also need to commit more which might put La Liga teams behind their local league. There is also World Cup that they should watch out too cause that will take away some of their best players.

From that viewpoint, I don't have high hope for Barcelona to get a good score against Bayern in the upcoming match or go far in the Champions League.
Barcelona already do not have a chance at Champions league, they may go towards Europa and maybe do something about it but that's about it, we shouldn't really focus on anything that they could possibly do anymore.

It's better to focus on la liga and win there. Real however doing fine, they are still quite good, do not expect Benzema to do anything right now, last year he was good during group games too but his big games came from the fact that he scored a lot of goals during meaningful games and that's what mattered. I feel like if they face people at knock off rounds, they will be doing better. Only team from la liga that may still win it in the end.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 15, 2022, 05:44:31 PM
Furthermore, we also know that when Madrid want a player they will go all out and will continue to chase that player but as long as that player does not want to be in Madrid then there is no way they will see that again.
The pursuit of Mbappe has been going on for 2 seasons and the last time they were even willing to submit a proposal of 200 million but Mbappe rejected it so there really was no reason for Madrid to keep pushing especially with some pretty big fan anger in last summer's transfer.

I personally don't really expect anything in this regard, they still haven't made a statement in this regard and we will probably wait what response Perez will give to this rumour.
I do agree that Mbappe won't go if he didn't want to, but that dude has been talking about wanting to be part of Real Madrid team for 2 seasons, that's the problem. Real is chasing him because he wants to be chased by Real Madrid and that means he could totally leave for them today if PSG and Real had a deal.

All of this comes down to PSG ownership who is super rich, they are richer than we can even imagine how much money, they are not "forbes richest people" list rich, they are beyond that. So not wanting Mbappe to leave means spending hundreds of millions of euro for them, and Real can't compete with that with regular rich football club money.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 14, 2022, 09:46:56 PM
The FIA has been putting on a horrible performance these past few days, it is unfortunate to see that F1, a sport so loved by many people, is being destroyed by the incompetence of this disastrous organisation.
If the criticism of the FIA was already extremely justifiable before, the situation became almost untenable in a matter of days, with the revelation of the hole in the spending ceiling by Red Bull and, of course, the disastrous Japanese GP, with confusion in the title announcement. of Max Verstappen and even flirt with tragedy with inexplicable tractor entry onto the track.
Worst of all is that the FIA continues to think that everything is normal. How long will this be!?
Until they start losing money, or at least not profiting as much as they do right now. I can sort of understand Red Bull decision, they are the best team right now and to just stop them or take back their trophy would be very tough decision and would be very much going against the tide, they like keeping the winners winning, aka mercedes situation, it gives people something to cheer for.

However, with Netflix series and all, they have managed to actually gain so much expertise that I am not really seeing them losing profits at all, they keep making more and more money, which means there is no doubt in my mind that they will keep doing what they are doing.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 14, 2022, 09:06:42 PM
Barca and Juventus are basically out of the cup.

Barcelona will probably go in Europa League, while Juventus if they continue on this path they go out of the Euro cups competently.
Well, Barcelona still has a chance of getting out of the group. Now, however, not everything depends on Barcelona and we have to rely on Inter, but theoretically Inter should not lose, and Barcelona will try to win. Therefore, leaving the group from the 2nd place is still quite real.
Yes, Barcelona only hopes for a miracle, Inter lose to Viktoria Plzen, and Barcelona must win against Munich. I must also admit that the loss of Kounde and Araujo greatly affected the coordination at the back, because they both played very solidly, Barcelona had to be calmer every time they got a chance, they were often impatient. I hope there's still hope of getting away, even if it's small.
That is not going to happen, but if I am not wrong there is also the fact that Inter could lose to plzen and Bayern together, keeping them at 7 points, so if Barcelona wins against Plzen and draw against Bayern they still go up. Not that Inter would lose, of course they won't, they will lose to Bayern for sure, but will beat Plzen, which means they will finish with 10 points.

It means Barcelona needs to beat Bayern and Plzen, which will make them 10 points too, I don't remember if it is home/away scoring calculation between teams or is it goals scored/conceded calculation in UCL, but in both cases it is quite unlikely that Barcelona will go up, doubt that.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it best to have a personal trading strategy? on: October 14, 2022, 06:16:42 AM
If you can arrange it, then it would be great. If you cannot, then the better option would be putting a bit of time into checking every single strategy you find, that way you would be able to do whatever you want to do, and you would still have options.

There are so many options available online, you can pick one, and trade with that and see how it does. Also, it is important to realize that during bear markets there won't be that many things that would make sense, but in other markets there are situations where it would make a bit more sense, that would be a lot better. This is why something that doesn't work today, could be perfect when we are in bull run.
Finding the right one that works for you will take time, but it would be easier to do during a bull run as well. During a bull run there are a lot of people who would be making money and I believe that it would make sense, and at that point it is smarter to just join in on the fun and make some sort of profit based on whatever you feel like is the best for you during the bull run.

Most of the time you will make a profit anyway, because it's bull run and everyone does, but to find that works you for the best. During bear run it is smarter to stay away, just do DCA and long term and wait for the bull to start, because everyone is losing money during bear period anyway.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 13, 2022, 08:08:22 PM
Napoli are still at the top of the Serie A league at the moment, they are already a solid team and many even predict they will come out as champions in Serie A this season, because if you look at teams that usually have a winning mentality like Juventus, which incidentally  won 9 times in a row, helpless this season, even a few years ago after the departure of CR7 made Juventus more chaotic and added coach MR.  It was Allegri who made the formation scheme that kept Juventus down, so this opportunity might be used by Napoli who have a winning mentality this season..
Do they have the winning mentality to win it, or are they taking advantage of a season where the other teams are bad? That’s a big difference because in one of them they are winning and will keep on winning and they are going to be great, in the other we are talking about a team that would be losing a good chunk of games after the other teams gets better.

So, I feel like we need to give napoli a bit more time to see how they will do, we still have absolutely no idea how they will do a month from now, or two months from now. If they stay at the top until the half of the season is over, then they can probably win the league title by keep playing that way.
