641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: April 24, 2024, 10:55:05 PM
Nobody will argue with you because it is your choice and I believed as you have chosen Ethereum to be your best altcoin, you have not invested in it. If not you would have known what is going on in the Ethereum network. If you buy Ethereum with $100, you will have $50 and the will for transaction fee and the rest. Those who have experienced it in this year will tell you the good story of that. And as for me I will not advise anyone to purchase Ethereum for now because the transaction fee is high.

We all know that Ethereum is the second in the ecosystem but you can't buy for now and make a transfer from the MEW to exchange and sell because the transaction fee is to cut someone throat.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rate of abandoned projects on solana on: April 24, 2024, 10:46:35 PM
When a cryptocurrency project open to all the shitcoins and memecoins and nonsensecoims then the life span of that mother project is very short because scammers will also launched their coins there and to scam people. At first they would allow people to invest and when they discovered that they have gotten enough funds from people's investment then they would withdraw their services from the mother project and all the people that has invest invested in it would just lost their funds and coins.

As you can see bitcoin is also suffering from those ordinals and if bitcoin was not a strong cryptocurrency, they would destroy bitcoin as well. Solana network was good but these days the network is congested and even nobody is interested to use the coin the network is still congested. Then something is wrong.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: April 24, 2024, 10:09:06 PM
You have said well, before one invest in any cryptocurrency project he has to k ow the basic things that follow. Which probably might the the community support and also to k ow if any exchange has listed it because you can't just invest in a project that has not been listed in any exchange then when the time comes for you to withdraw, how will you do? Those memecoins are quick to make money so most of them are scammers that are behind the scene.

And don't invest in any how project because you lose your funds in the project.
644  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: April 24, 2024, 09:55:44 PM
Rikafip you are doing well for this update every month. I received the mentioned and decided to visit the thread to what is going all these while and I am very much impressed that Nigeria local board is still on the second for the months active members row. And from bitmover chart Nigeria takes third meaning we are still on the high side and pushing on to the right position. We are still praying that let's have the moderator (s) and the merit sources so that we can also do well in other areas and not only on the active side.

We are very backyard in the monthly Sending and receiving of merits. But we believe all those things will be fixed soon. Keep the good work going.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Be The Ultimate ETH Staking Solution on: April 24, 2024, 09:46:12 PM
Anything automate is not recommendable. Because the day when it will disappoint you, you will regret using it and it is not a matter of listed in those exchanges although it is good for the beginning time but I have seen coins listed in those exchanges and later they delisted them again and all what we need is the genuineness of the project. Well since the project has some renown backing from Binance and OKX then people can invest in it but be careful with altcoins because their not for real time invest but to make money quickly.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you see NFTs heading in the future? on: April 24, 2024, 09:37:52 PM
I don't know why, I don't normally like that NFT token or project from beginning. So when people were participating I was not interested to do any of their activities one day. And now it is not even popular like before again in the forum too. And in my location nobody is mentioning it name again. It's like a dead project in my area. All those things are part of the bitcoin ordinals that are causing this congestion and making the transaction fee very high.

People and friends have been telling me to participate in NFT but I refused because I don't like it. In the recent time I have not seen it in most of the exchanges.
647  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: After Binance: BYBIT and BITGET. on: April 24, 2024, 09:29:13 PM
The government cant even try it, even this one they have attempted on binance was because its the number one most leading cryptocurrency exchange, which they believed that they wont want to tarnish their image on global reputation by not making a compliance effort upon every of their request from the Binance exchange, at the end of it all, the so called reason to why naira is depreciating is now traced to other economic fathers as dollars is now getting strong resistive fight back over naira, is this still the same binance exchange that is causing for this, i guess the government were already tired of the manipulation because its not working to their own favour.
It is now that I am trying to get or understand di government. As far as Tinubu nai e dey dis President Nigeria e no go better at all. And even if Atiku comes him go even worse pass Tinubu. Tinubu and Atiku never keep money for naira in any day so they even like am when Naira de depreciating so dat dem go benefit from the dollar rising. Na now everything dey clear for my eye.

And as I talk am, Tinubu and Atiku e no share naira in di election but dollar, so how much people wan come make things cheap in the country. Binance was accused for manipulating the naira yet naira never gained himself. What a country be this. Make Charles -Tim drops di link make we dey see weti dey there.
648  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Local Board Moderator; Your honest feedback here. on: April 24, 2024, 11:15:46 AM
My honest feedback on you without biased

You are a reputable member di local board in particular and also in the forum in general. You have been doing well to make sure that Nigeria local board is clean from shitposts and spammers and scammers and you have really doing your best to make sure that things work out good in the local board and you have really displayed the good character. Since when I meant you from 2022 when we were in local thread, till we got our local board, you have been contributing well in the local board. Dis local board has been ranked as the second most active board in some months now. And when the board has moderator, it will make it more active because most the members are not actively participating in di local board because the off topics are more than the on topics. But the Moderator separate the off topics threads from the on topics threads then people would come and make posts more.

We Also join hand with the op to grant you your request to become the local moderator so that you can use it to combat and clean the board from scammers, spammers and shitposts.
649  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: We Don dey enter halving and fee is getting higher on: April 23, 2024, 11:05:13 PM
Na good thing be dat. So dat people no go pay high fee dey do transfer. Na like dis many people do last time when the fee go up well well. And as di fee come down again dem come dey change am back. Plenty people were even receiving it from Litecoin too and other altcoins until the period was over then everyone return back to non custodial wallets again and this one wey di matter e don start again na dat the same thing go still happen. Really do fee nowna die. E too big.
650  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Mempool is congested, use ViaBTC free accelerator. on: April 23, 2024, 10:52:31 PM
I am advising people not to trust ViaBTC free accelerator anymore. This is the reason: ViaBTC free accelerator should not be trusted

I noticed this the last time when I was about using the accelerator. It was directing me to the oid service and I got tire so I left it removed the link from my browser. Thanks you for this clear information. At least with this we will be guided. I know one the guy that wanted die out inside this Viabtc accelerator, and now he can rest. Although the free Viabtc accelerator was helpful, I also used it once at the first time when the bitcoin network was congested last year.
651  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / After Binance: BYBIT and BITGET. on: April 23, 2024, 10:41:33 PM
In the month of March 5, 2024, Binance announced that they have delisted the NGN peer to peer in the platform because of the drift between the Nigerian government and Binance which accused them of manipulating the naira in their exchange. And after when Binance has finally delisted the NGN p2p, the naira was weakened to $1 to NGN1,950 and the country government fought hard to regain the naira price. And finally the naira regain itself gradually to the rate of NGN1000 but suddenly last week.or there about the dollar has started regain itself and that making the naira to become National Cryptocurrency  Grin that is volatile which investors can buy naira and hodle it in the online Banking apps when is low and when it appreciate then you sell it. When dollar rise rise naira is week , and when dollar weak naira is high so you know when to buy naira now.  Grin.

Now recently naira that was appreciating became depreciating and the government is planning to clampdown BYBIT and BITGET which are the prime suspect of the recent volatile nature of the Naira. And as me all these things are just to delay the process. Nigerian government know what to do and they know what they are doing. I don't think naira will still go down again because the incumbent president is the master of DOLLAR hodling. In the 2023 General when the then president made naira to be scarce for that politicians to use in the election, Tinubu (APC) used dollar to those who voted for him. And $100 was given nto each electorate and by then $100 was NGN70,000. So this fight has no head. And if they really want to fight, it is not to attack the individual exchange or personal parallel market exchanges. But a good solid policy will fight for all. And any disobey the Policy either foreign policy or international economy policy will face the law.

Tinubu is a Dollarcentric President so it will be hard for the agencies to fight against the naira depreciation instead he will be very happy for that indirectly. How many of you have noticed that there is no cash in our local banks to withdraw. The last time when I went to my Bank to withdraw, the cashier told me that they could only gave out 5k. Let's wait till next month ending when Dangote refineries work well.

652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: April 23, 2024, 10:03:55 PM
Leicester vs Southampton is a big match played tomorrow that could decide many things for EPL promotion race.
Home team was shaky recently but they managed to win last round against West Brom thanks to goal scored by Vardy.
Southampton is missing some players for this match including first goalkeeper Bazunu, but they have ability to score goals with Armstrong.
Last time they played Leicester was better but their form is much different now.
Safest bet for me here is on goals, but odds are very good on both teams.

My Bets: Both Teams To Score; Over 2.5 goals.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/championship/leicester-city-v-southampton-fc-6625aefa7c9c240001917847
The match was very bad for Southampton. There was no one attempted shot or goal by Southampton. This has not spoken good for Southampton for receiving 5 goals at a time. I was really expecting them to do well in the 2nd half of the match since they received one goal in the first half and it was like they played the worst game in the second half. And if you look the analysis of the game, Southampton controlled the Ball more than their opponent and I don't know why they received goals of 5.

There are things that could make them to receive such number of goals. And the none is the defend. If the defend is weak then you received enough goals and the keep. If the keep is not good then you suffer set back. And Also Chelsea faced these the same two things in their match.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 23, 2024, 09:51:50 PM
Arsenal won against Chelsea this evening by a different score. I didn't expect such a result, but it was a very comfortable win for them.
Their only goal now is to become champions of the Premier League and win the cup. I hope they win the cup this year.
Wow!!! Unbelievable. 5 - nil. In the first half it was 1-0 and after the first half I didn't watch the second half again. And the same score goes to Leicester City and Southampton in the ChampionshipEngland League. This is more than luck. This is the time we see real skillful players I'm the football game. Chelsea that I was thinking that would do well I'm this match disappointed me. Is it that because Palmer didn't play? At least 1-1 or 2-2 would have been better. The whole 5-0. Ah! That is too much. Whom do we blame in this kind game, is it the coach of Chelsea or the players? Because in the first half Chelsea was playing very well and I don't know what happened again in the second half. They have loss in the game so they have to rearrange themselves in the next match and not to disappoint people like that.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run Approaching: Projects to Watch Besides ETH on: April 23, 2024, 05:56:13 PM
Let's see what will happen because even the Ethereum you excluded was stagnant and refused to move up for months now. And today it has hit $3,234.8. early this year, people predicted that it will hit $10k but I didn't see it coming. And Solana is now $159.8. I will still not see it as their bull run because I have seen Ethereum hit $4,678.5 and that was the all time high for it. And I invested in it at the time it was $3,788.7 so before I see at a Bull run, it has to hit at least $3,500.1.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden is asking Congress to kill the American Bitcoin mining industry on: April 23, 2024, 05:13:40 PM
Op lolz! You don't want a political argument but that your thread is purely political. American Government wants to imitate another country (China) behavior towards bitcoin. One thing they don't understand in this innovation is that it is because the other country openly said they are not interested in Bitcoin does not mean they're not interested and probably they just want to operate in the anonymity and investing in it from underground. And I don't think the congress will accept his request to ban bitcoin mining.

Op you don't even make small input on the topic and you just want everyone to read the article from the link. Which we don't even know if is not true. Your input was also needed.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is fungible? on: April 23, 2024, 04:52:55 PM
In the cryptocurrency ecosystem space anything "tainted" is nonsense and if Monero is "tainted" but bitcoin can't be. And with that bitcoin can't be fungible. Developers have been trying to create coins that look similar like bitcoin and use it to lure people to invest in it but it doesn't work.

If we go to literal meaning of fungible that yes BTC is fungible because it can be replaced by another BTC and both are equal in worth and value but the fact that it can be replaced makes it fungible.

Now if we talk about with facts and brain then the term fungible has no place in crypto world. What I mean to say is why someone will replace a BTC by BTC there is no point to that. No coin is fungible if we come out of the literal meaning.
Even though you bring it from the literally perspective it can be fungible because "1 bitcoin is 1 bitcoin" as the Op said. There are many similar bitcoin related coins in the ecosystem but none can withstand with bitcoin because their prices are still very far below $1. Even the Monero the Op used as the example for the fungible is doing well more than those nonsense coins. And if you talk about others I will not have problem but remove bitcoin from the fungible argument.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 23, 2024, 04:17:08 PM
I thought we are still in the halving. And I also thought the halving will stay up to a month. Is it that the halving was just a day? That's not withstanding, many investors came to the ecosystem because of the halving and some were thinking that in the halving bitcoin would reduced for them to invest more but the price was stable and it was after the two days of the halving the price slightly reduce and after some days it goes back. And even the time when bitcoin price goes down, the transaction fee didn't allow people to buy because it was too high and people were disappointed about the whole season.

But that will not stop people to invest in Bitcoin before the next halving of 2028.  And in my own observation, the number of investors that will come up in the period will be more than the previous season. People have seen the important of bitcoin so many people will like to invest in Bitcoin for retirement and others.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Manta a promising project? on: April 23, 2024, 07:50:17 AM
From my investigation, it has a promising future and it has hit $1.95 and that is good price as a memecoin. Dogecoin that has been in the ecosystem for years before others came still $0.1572 and new projects have hit $1+. But you still need to do some personal research on it and such as the community support and the capitalization of the project and the exchanges that coin has been listed. Because you don't have to invest on a project that has not listed in any popular exchange and by the time when you want to withdraw it, it becomes a problem. A friend of my lost a lot of funds because he didn't do any research on the project and just invest in and the platform collapsed.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are more people getting excited about memecoins? on: April 22, 2024, 11:21:35 PM
They are excited because it is a short term investment and profit is in the average price. Those who are purely investing in memecoins are real risk takers because a scammer can launched one project as a memecoin and allowed people to flood it and probably allow people to withdraw but suddenly the project would be delisted from all the exchanges and everything you invested in would lost.

Be caution when dealing with memecoins and don't be over excited because they are dangerous.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Worldcoin? on: April 22, 2024, 10:59:15 PM
I think next rally would be AI centered. Who knows maybe sam altman tweets and it pumps. Thats my hope.
You content is too shallow and need flesh to the skeleton Borns. And I believed there is a full grown thread on this concerned topic "world coin here in the altcoins section and you would make research on it. And AI is already coexisting with cryptocurrency but that can't have any effect in it. And if people will like to pump their coins with AI technology and I don't think it will create any much population to itself. Remember not everyone likes AI so if AI is attached to project then people would tag that coin as an artificial coin which will limit the use of the coin again.
