641  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: November 29, 2022, 02:51:35 AM
Oo nga yung kay boarknock one time napanood ko nag stream ulit siya ng axie classic at halos 800+ yung viewers niya and para sakin madami yun knowing na wala na SLP sa axie classic. Parang for fun nalang. Parang mas maraming ngang viewers yung streamers na nag sstream nung axie classic vs axie origins ehhh yun yung napansin ko. This proves na mas na eenjoy ng tao yung axie classic at hindi na ito pera pera since marami padin nanonood ng axie classic. Maybe mas gusto ng tao at naiintindihan nila yung classic over origins kaya mas madami padin tinatangkilik yung classic.

The best decision in a situation like that when you think your wallet has been compromised is to get a new one. It costs next to nothing to install a new one.

You create your post today and your transaction history showing about 251 days ago and you coming up to cook a story today and your btt account created July 22, 2022?
Most of these sob stories flying around here about how they lost money is just cooked up cock and bull stories. For whatever reasons those who present them here do, I can't figure it out. Perhaps it's to gain sympathy of the community and their merit.
I would also suggest also get a new wallet, but if your old wallet have some valuable coins, there is a need for the coins to be transfer, what happen is a bit different because they can't pullout the other coins which has also have a value, they can only pull-out bnb token in binance network, but other coins or altcoins they can't move or transfer it, that process save my friends other token, the only reason i share it is because maybe someone have experience the same issue, since few weeks a go another friend also experience it and it drains all his bnb, its up for the reader if they will take this seriously,  but sharing info like this for me is very important since we have done an alternative to pull other tokens safely.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / what are your takes that metamask will now collect ip address of user on: November 28, 2022, 03:06:28 PM
is it okay for you guys that metamask will now get ip address of the users? since we still want to be anonymous, if this will be implemented are you still going to use metamask, although they say that if you will use custom RPC they said that you will not be subject to the new policy, but i know most of the users are using the default settings for metamask especially those who are not much tech persons.
Is it also the reason why trust wallet price pump because users are now transferring to them?
Here is the source of the news:

I'm really curious about what you all think about cryptocurrency. I've been wanting to start investing in it for a while now, but I feel like I don't know enough about it to make good decisions. Do you have any advice?
Well if you really want to invest in crypto currency that bad, here are some ways you can do to invest
  • ICO
  • Trading
  • Running Nodes
  • Airdrops

ICO - this are coins being offer, at low price but then, there are rules like you need to wait some time for the coin to be given to you.
Trading - This is where you are going to buy a coin in an exchange like binance or use uniswap, metamask to buy, sell coins.
Running Nodes - I also consider this as an investment since you are going to run a node with rewards being given to you, some are gala nodes strong nodes and more.
Airdrop - invest a few dollar for swap or nothing just effort, by joining and finishing task being given.

Although there are lots of ways to invest i have given you some ways, hope i was able to share something, don't hesitate to ask questions here they have a lot of answers so don't be shy.
645  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 28, 2022, 12:39:46 AM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
I suggest at first invest in business, because you have control on it, you can do whatever you want, while having a freelance job, then all your income in freelance will be invested in cryptocurrency, in this way, you have 2 source of income, one is in a long term like other suggestion, in that way the risk of loosing money is small, 2 source of income is better than one, also at this moment that the price drops, some of the coins in the market are really on sale, having also a business makes you forget thinking all day of your cryptocurrency investment, if you keep looking at it sometimes you will make mistake, to sell early that's my take on this question.
646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misconception about cryptocurrency on: November 27, 2022, 08:54:08 AM
When people accuse cryptocurrency of being a scam in light of recent events like the luna and FXT exchange, it irritates me. Crypto is a risky investment but that's not a good reason to call it a scam during a bear market.

Nothing a person does on this planet will spare him or her from experiencing both success and failure.

An investor in real estate experiences both gains and losses.

A cryptocurrency trader or investor will experience both wins and losses.

Some of a doctor's patients pass away, while others get healed.

In many parts of the world, we have quack doctors displaying themselves as real medical professionals. As the case may be, we too have fake pastors, fake police officers, false cryptocurrency ventures, etc Every profession contains a Ponzi scheme. A person who classifies all cryptocurrencies as Ponzi schemes should be completely disregarded since they are misinformed about blockchain.

Don't let anyone convince you out of continuing to invest in cryptocurrencies. At the end of a bear market, there will always be a better day. Keep your bitcoin investments safe. Together we can weather this bearish market
This is how other people labeled something that has anything to do with money, I think it is because of lack of knowledge with regards to cryptocurrency
OP is correct they are misinformed by other people especially those people who invest all their saving on a new or certain coin, where they don't have gain any profit, because the coin disappear or the people inside the company take the money and left, like what happen in luna where the founder take the money and leave, im not sure with FTX, but i hear some news about Axie where they take the money and transfer it to an exchange although some say its not true, where lots of people also invest in axie, and lost it all, so what are we saying here? don't just invest, research and learn, try to ask the people who have already lots of knowledge when it comes to crypto, learning all by yourself is okay, but learning with other people, there is a lot of information being share is better like here in this forum.
647  Other / Beginners & Help / how do you protect your network ,assets from wallets etc. on: November 27, 2022, 06:59:13 AM
I have been wondering how you guys secure your network from the ground up, from internet connection computer, and wallets here is how I do it, since I saw others experience loss funds and more encryption of files and need to pay in bitcoin or other altcoins just to reclaim their possession, I have decided to not 100% safe but to have a bit of ease think I have protection, we all know that connecting your wallets other network is one of the easy way or scheme for your assets to get stolen like in my previous post where my friends funds are getting transfer to hackers wallet ill post the link here so that it may help you if you experience this issue, it may or not help you but better share this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5423200.msg61349625#msg61349625

Here is how i protected my network since all is going to pass here
  • I have created a network firewall no expenses are use only a pc and its an opensource and securing and setup are guides by other people with the same setup, you can also use virtual machine if you want
  • block pop ups this are links that where very suspicious links like an exchanges or a site, also block
  • This one are most common, even though your not going there maybe some of people connected to the network might go in here, as experience before, porn sites can make your pc infected with viruses that put your assets and computer in risk
  • Antivirus some people ignore this and sometimes my clients saw a popup that the site or file he/she are about to open are infected but ignores it
  • Try opensource operating system like ubuntu, centos, etc., not only they use less resources windows virus sometimes not work or run in them, well mostly they don't. Note: I'm not saying they are 100% safe but since i use ubuntu and centos never experience anything
  • Avoid connecting your wallet to networks that are given to telegram double check the legitimacy of the poster first, but to be sure do not entertain personal message for someone saying you'll get rich or saying he get rich its all lie and they are just baiting.
  • Never just click links from someone, even with your friends, because this days accounts that are hack were use to pretend that your friend send the message and when you click the link, they will now full access of things in your pc something like that.
I know some can't use my setup, so my personal recommendation, is just make sure to check everything before opening or connecting, always use antivirus, avoid links from emails from unknown or known people, just what i said above.
Hoping that everyone who has almost the same or better will be able to share so that we can improve or use your ways, because the top priority of everyone is always save assets away from hackers, i know everyone have better ways hoping we will be able to share even small info is much appreciated.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 26, 2022, 01:39:35 PM

What i actually saying is that you wouldn't have shared this screenshot above here because it doesn't represent anything meaningful and besides it was on old transaction and how does people believe what you are saying. This transaction was made about 251 days ago and how does this related to your post or topic, is there anything to understand here? It would have been better you created it as suggestions than as a witness to someone whom have fallen victim.
I don't know where you are coming from but I'm just sharing what I have experience, and also few weeks ago my colleague also experience this kind of hacking those screenshot are proof that it really happens, I'm not here to argue besides I'm just a new member, if I'm a member then , I should have shared it with others earlier, the purpose of the post is not to make story, but to let others know that they should be very careful god bless you sir.
649  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The patient buyer ... on: November 26, 2022, 08:53:13 AM
There is no more time for analysis, research or strategy just buy!!!
If its falling buy
If the chart is looking unclear buy
If you can't find the support zone buy
If the said bitcoin will still fall just buy

Keep buying as you buy
When the price becomes scary just buy
If the say Bitcoin is about to crash just buy
if you hear Bitcoin can't survive the dip keep buying
Just buy because you will smile

Even when you start smiling just buy
Buy until the force of the smile becomes heavy
Buy even in the midst of discouragment
Don't just buy ensure you hodl...

Nice poem.., i like the last line "don't just buy" its like saying with all that i said, you can't just buy everything when the price is falling, for example the price of ftx is falling with the CEO being replace with a new one and there are lawsuits that is going to be file, Miami heat distance from the company, that is not a good sign, also with luna the price really fell, so low that some decided to kill themselves out of frustration and failure, don't just buy make sure to invest what you are willing to lose in the end.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 26, 2022, 03:32:15 AM
Hey are you kidding??
You create your post today and your transaction history showing about 251 days ago and you coming up to cook a story today?
Now how do you even mean, note that your token can only be tempped whenever you compromise your key phrase or possibly you where too careless to reveal phrase and private key.
If you think you are not safe using metamask wallet then try using trustwallet I have been using for long and no bad news or fraudulent activity recorded so far.
well because the tokens where not stolen only the BNB where automatically sent to a certain address, I'm not making anything here, because 2 weeks ago one of my colleague experience this issue and he is so careful when using the wallet, if I'm not mistaken he said 1k+ usdt in bnb where stolen, i have known the person and he will not lie to us, i made it because of what happen, to make everyone aware, the reason with the image is because I'm the one who remote it and guide him before with the process, the other person while my colleague just told us, 251 days is not long my friend, sharing experience is better.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 26, 2022, 03:02:45 AM
Be careful using your metamask and other wallets , i have encounter that my funds are being stolen automatically and being sent to a certain address, experience this in binance network, other coins are not stolen only the bnb token, every time funds are being sent, there is a few seconds before your funds will automatically sent to an address.

So how will us be able to transfer tokens to a new address? here is what i did

  • Prepare funds for transfer of your token to a new wallet, don't make exact value or amount since gas fee's changes
  • Create a new wallet from another computer don't create a new wallet on the same computer
  • Select assets and make the transaction ready, remember that what ever automation made from your wallet has delays of few seconds
  • On the other computer or laptop send the funds to the old wallet where you need to remove your other tokens, then send the token to your new address
  • In the process once your old wallet received the funds, the transfer of you made from your old wallet will be the first to process
  • Repeat this process until you transfer all your tokens to the new address

This process may or might not work with others but i have tried this to two of my friends, then i suggest format your computer, to make sure since my suspicion are computer might be infected of a certain malware, or because of the connection you made before to a certain app, or network on a chain.
I hope this will be able to help others who might experience it before or in the future

As you can see to the transactions we made funds are being sent out once we send decent amount to the wallet
so next time be very careful on where you connect those metawallets or other wallets to avoid this king of trouble

652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this true about Metamask? on: November 25, 2022, 03:13:10 AM
Is it true that Metamask is not a decentralised wallet? I watch a video right now explaining that Metamask wallet collects data😲 and they use infura which is centralized, even Ip address are collected?

How true is this? If this is true then there is no point using this wallet at all and people who don't know should stay away. Unless someone prove me wrong.
I think what you are saying about collects data is the transactions being process and can be seen in the explorer correct me if I'm wrong, with the ip address if you are familiar with layers of the network this have process and it travels through servers until it reach its destinations and its very important and there is no way to hide it, starting from your local network going outside there is an information being process so its normal, connecting to other networks with alter information that might be dangerous because there are exploits for example in metamask if you want to change network because of a certain coin that needs to be setup that i think you need to double check carefully, and also careful with your metamask wallet, and the key, don't just connect to unknown and new networks just for free coins or airdrops.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: November 25, 2022, 02:10:31 AM
Almost everyone of us have made or search for airdrops and made money with just efforts and time
During my search here are some of the few of the past airdrops that i have participated:

Unisawap, Dydx, Muse, Aptos, others just forget but made a profit from them, some of this you need to make some transactions means you have to either deposit or make some trades using their platform, live or testnet.

What are the good side of doing airdrops?
The good thing about airdrops is even without money , or what we call funds to buy tokens coins or bitcoin you can still have a chance for airdrops by doing small task and only consumes time and also small knowledge although some will post the process to do the task which makes it more easier, and then wait for further announcements from them.

What's the bad side?
Well its not necessary that bad after all since you don't need to put in money just to have airdrops, but if you just participate in an airdrop that's just there to gather mass information of the people joining the airdrop that is just free, you just wasted time and effort, and also you will be just wait for nothing, imagine you have join like for example 10-20 airdrops, fill-ups forms sleeping late is so tiring.

What's the ugly side?
I think this was not a good one after all, since you have fill up forms and use your email etc. for this one, you might get expose, and be in the batch of emails that can received malware links, scam links, that might accidentally click, and be a victims of ransom or any form of crypto or hackers getting your precious funds hard earn money or even your other priceless coins maybe eth bitcoin or any other altcoin.

So even though this airdrops are profitable for other people, there is still some downsides that we should always look into, so make sure  research about the projects, if they were really legit, so that there is not wasted time and efforts because we don't know what are really there purpose.

Hope this will help newbies like me to be careful and also enjoy doing this frees tuff without compromising other assets
best way is to ask also in this group because as i ready through other comments they are really helpful and explain everything to others, that's what i like about bitcointalk, information is overflowing, you just have to read and ask.

654  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why Scammers and hackers target mobile users via text messages? on: November 24, 2022, 06:39:37 AM
Most scam campaigns mostly just mass send messages regardless if it's through email or text messaging. They don't usually make assumptions if this specific group are noobs or not — they just send the messages to all the contacts on their database.
yes sir, and also those scam campaigns also acquire those numbers either emails, from a hack databases from a certain company ,bought these people it, and then mass send suspicious links, but at the end of the day, we still have to be careful with these types of scams/hacks it might be not us , but one of our love ones, we must always remind them, about what  are the latest trends since we are the one who are most aware of these types of scheme.
655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest without predicting a time of bull on: November 24, 2022, 03:00:18 AM
Invest bitcoin without expecting the bull market at any given time.  Bitcoin is volatile and a decentralized  currency which the bearish and bull market can occur without anyone knowing.  When investing Bitcoin  and expect to gain profits in a given time and what is expected to happen in the market turns to be something else, it can automatically make one to feel emotional.

When Bitcoin is invested with a free mind  without expecting When to make profit in a predicted time, it gives fate to keep hodling till anytime bull market occur.
I have a different approach regarding investing, but OP's idea is not bad at all, we have our own way and strategies my idea of investing in bitcoin is like this, learn first what affects the value of bitcoin and how news and FUD affect this in this way, you don't have to waste time, and let your money stay there for a while since if you let your money sits there, you missed other opportunities along the way, the most important thing is learning first how situation change with cryptocurrencies the more information we have the lesser the risk I think, in this way we can maximize the resources that we have.
656  Other / Off-topic / Why Scammers and hackers target mobile users via text messages? on: November 24, 2022, 01:31:44 AM
Every day we encounter messages via email sending us fake emails or pretending to be legit emails from the office, and from our friends but why suddenly do these hackers and scammers focus now on sending text messages with links?
I did small research for a while and here is what I think is the main reason:
  • Mobile users are young and don't really understand that some text messages are dangerous especially the links when click accidentally
  • Parents that are older like young ones don't understand that its dangerous to just click links
Why do I think this is one of the main reasons?
We don't fall victim to this kind of scam or hack because some of us encounter emails with links that give access to hackers, while our parents and you people are just getting hold of the technology they just encounter just now, they are trying to learn what we already know, but out of curiosity, and no knowledge regarding with this threat they fall, victim.
What should we do to avoid this?
  • Before giving them gadgets try to educate them first it's okay to let them explore but guide them through it
I always remind my parents, especially my mother who is already old, he always received this kind of message, that if he doesn't know the person or the mobile that sends a mysterious message I told her to delete and block it immediately.
There is no reason for us to click anything since we don't know these people, this is happening all over the world and we should always not attempt to do something because once they get some information via those links we are in big trouble.
I hope this helps some who are having trouble with their young brother and sister, and their parents also

657  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two important lesson I learn from this forum this year 2022 on: November 23, 2022, 05:58:38 PM
As 2022 is almost coming to an end and haven't been around this forum for a couple of months now, I have learn two vital lessons this year that will guide my journey in the cryptocurrency space.
THE TWO LESSONS
1: I will never trust an exchange, most especially centralized exchanges e.g FTX Binance, etc.
2: never n trust any other coin aside from Bitcoin for long-term goals, most especially the highly centralized altcoin as there are open to external influence just like centralized exchanges are also exposed to external influence.
So I am led to the conclusion that, cryptocurrency is not the problem, but centralization and the human factors are the major set back in the young fast-growing cryptocurrency industry

I agree with OP also experience this situation, i just want to add and share what I have learn during the process
  • Make sure you have full control of your wallet
  • also keep your keys safe and never share it to others sucure it and never save it to other place,
  • Always take profit when its due, some people never appreciate profits that is why they think the price will make it more bigger
  • Never trust someone who out of nowhere send personal message asking you to click links lots of of people are victimized by this
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: November 22, 2022, 12:31:24 PM
For those who have been in crypto since the last bear market are these low prices normal or something to be concerned about?

I will continue to DCA but with the last few weeks of bad news surrounding crypto I am more cautious now.

I think if you will look at the chart last 2017-2018 and 2020-2021 this are times where the price shoots up and goes down temporary , the reason for this are lots of things like for example the ftx collapse, luna, and other crypto currencies that has almost the same pattern of price going down, this concern the people who holds the coins in result they get out of the projects, and stay in usdt for a while waiting for the perfect moment to jump again, because at the end of the day for people who are here before us its just a cycle, the news and fud's make the market so volatile.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: November 22, 2022, 11:34:38 AM
I have been to crypto space since 2016 , and i have experience a roller coaster ride i tell you, one time I profit a lot for a certain coin, and the next day its all gone because i fail to get out and convert it to usdt, or bitcoin, but i have learn a lot of things like, you should be prepared, and don't let your emotions, make decisions every time, when its time to get out do it, also gain lots of friends, and exchange information's, also brings me here in bitcointalk where you can learn a lot, simply by reading topics.
660  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit kaya walang Blockchain project na based sa bansa natin? on: November 22, 2022, 06:12:14 AM
  • Batas for crypto
