I am saying it because I used to think I would invent this thing that would do xyz but when I shared my idea with others they said, it was already in existence so I got sad because I was thinking of making that but now I can't. Well, what we can do now, maybe we can improve that idea.
Wow! Were you planning to develop something like this? Do you have programming knowledge? If so, why not contribute to the Bitcoin program? Even though the feature you mentioned has already been invented, you can still code some other features if you want. But, I am having a hard time believing if you are a coder or not. I haven't seen you in any kind of technical discussion yet. my bad!

It needs advancements as the technology used in there I don't trust it fully.
You should not suggest some technology or a feature that you do not trust. If you do not trust 1xbit, you should not suggest others to use it. I have used coinb.in, and I trust the technology. Looking at this post should give you a better idea of what I am talking about; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5475648.msg63229159#msg63229159

Yes. it's very much possible to lock your Bitcoin for a certain period of time. TryNinja explained so well in one thread, and I believe this is what you were looking for. There was a time when I always thought I would hold my Bitcoin and won't spend it. But most of the time I ended up spending them on gambling purposes. So, I wanted to lock my btc for a while, and I found this post by TryNinja which explains how I can lock my Bitcoin until a certain block. There is a more detailed version in steemit; https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@daan/how-to-create-time-locked-transactions-with-bitcoin-free-bitcoins-inside , I have posted this in another thread too.

You can use Coinbin to do that. I had one a few months ago and it's quite easy to create/spend your coins after the chosen period.

To create the Time Locked Address:
1. Go to Coinb.in;
2. New -> Time Locked Address.
3. Enter your address public key (the one you require to sign the transaction and be able to spend the coins);
4. Enter the date-time or blockheight you want to release the coins.
5. Submit and save the Redeem Script (don't lose that or you won't be able to spend your coins in the future);
6. Send the coins you want to keep locked to the Address generated.

After the chosen period, you will be able to spend your coins.
1. Go to Coinb.in;
2. New -> Transaction;
3. Paste your Redeem Script and click Load (it's going to show every input available to be spent);
4. Paste the address you want to send the coins to at the "Address" field and the amount in the "Amount" field. The remaining funds will be used as fee. E.g: If your address has 0.015BTC, you can put 0.014BTC in the "Amount" field and the fee will be 0.001BTC (0.015 - 0.014);
5. Submit and copy the raw transaction;
6. Go to the "Sign" tab (at Coinb.in);
7. Paste the private key from the address you choose when creating the Time Locked Address.
8. Paste the raw transaction you just created.
9. Submit, copy the signed transaction and push it to the network (you can do it in the Broadcast tab).
10. Transaction sent!

I'm also having trouble following the first part of your post... which app, which garbage,... ?

He was talking about centralized services like Binance and other exchanges. Sometimes, they release withdrawals with low fees, and their user cannot bump the fees. They have no way other than waiting hours to confirm their transaction. Most centralized exchanges charge a fixed fee from users, but they release many transactions in a single transfer and that's where they try to save money. Sometimes they spend good enough as well. But the problem is, their user has no control. That is one of the reasons we suggest not to use centralized services.

Do you think so?
I guess that was pointed out by someone already, and I thought it fit better.

In the past week, at least 4 users got a name change.

I haven't seen any application thread for a name change. Did they send a PM to theymos for that? Look at my username. I get unnecessary daily mentions of useless topics like Helping kids learn Bitcoin, teaching kids about Bitcoin is not in vain, etc. Whenever people use this word, I get notified via Telegram with TryNinja's bot.

What is the good reason for changing a username? Is my reason good enough to consider?

@GazetaBitcoin, Sorry for off-topic.

Nice find. In addition, this user spammed the forum with multiple posts. I would like to believe that he will leave the forum.

Yes. Indeed, you noticed that too. This user is using ChatGPT to write all the content that I reported here already and left him neutral feedback for now. I am a little bit confused about the plagiarism report. The user copied the post from Reddit and posted it in the forum the same day.

In most cases, Moderators check if a user made those posts on the same day, and sometimes they give them a pass. Not sure what will happen in this case. I forgot the use report to moderator button, which I did just now. Let's see if it works.

Bro you will understand since you got into this situation you sold your crypto like me and bought your hobby motorcycle.
When I sold my invested bitcoins I felt bad for a while but when I saw my hobby motorcycle and the smile on my father's face after helping the family business, my heart was filled with joy.

That's what we all always look for! A happy face of our loved ones. I always want to see the happy faces of family members. After all, men work for the family members. Once you grow up enough and become a man, you will see the changes in yourself. Many boys do not work and do not make money, but they take money from their families to buy a motorcycle or an iPhone and show off.

They won't understand the feeling because they are still "boy." A boy needs to convert himself into a "man" to realize these things. I am glad that Bitcoin played a vital role in your case.

I was one of the sponsors and I received the funds. Since he decided to continue the giveaway, I will send the funds once again. This should prove that a person like 1miau cannot be motivated by "Trick".
That's very nice from you but I'll cover these 0.5 mBTC for you to avoid tx fees.  Smiley
Many thanks for your contribution of course.

Thanks 1miau, but I believe there is enough time to announce the winner since we are not even close to the block number yet. So, I guess the mempool will have fewer unconfirmed transactions. I would love to contribute these tiny 0.5 mBTC, and I will send it whenever I see the mempool has cooled down a little bit. It feels good to see you come back, try to improve yourself, and take things positively. Please allow others to criticize if they can in a healthy way. I am sure you will find a lot of positive things in it. More importantly, avoid trolls. You won't be able to satisfy them.  Smiley
648  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: November 26, 2023, 01:58:18 AM
If we are already dealing with assumptions, it seems that 1miau got into a similar situation after the drama against him. He previously started several competitions, but he decided to cancel them all. (He also left the signature campaign.)
However, perhaps a different interpretation of the withdrawal of sponsorship by Ratimov influenced him to change his decision once again.

1miau returned the funds he received from sponsors and the rest funds his own funds. I don't think he was motivated by Ratimov in any way. Ratimov was a sponsor there and promised to contribute to the prize pool. He could do it and leave it if he wanted. But in 1miau's case, he was the organizer and was planning to take a break. He already left the signature campaign. Moreover, 1miau decided to continue the giveaway, and he edited his posts already as he said in another thread;

Regarding the giveaway: topic is already edited and prizes will be paid out to the winners as promised.

I was one of the sponsors, and I received the funds. Since he decided to continue the giveaway, I will send the funds once again. This should prove that a person like 1miau cannot be motivated by "Trick".

While Bitcoin has witnessed significant growth and utility across various domains over the past 15 years, mainstream adoption as a daily payment method faces challenges. The current pace of adoption might not indicate an imminent shift. Many view Bitcoin more as a store of value than a medium of exchange, often opting for fiat-based debit cards for everyday transactions. Overcoming this perception hurdle and enhancing usability are key factors for broader acceptance. Additionally, regulatory clarity, scalability, and improved user experience will play pivotal roles in steering crypto payments toward mainstream integration. It's an evolving journey, and community insights are crucial in navigating these dynamics.

Certainly, I appreciate the community member's thoughtful response. Regarding the scalability concerns with Bitcoin transactions, it's a valid point. The evolution of the Lightning Network does show promise in addressing these issues, potentially making on-chain transactions more efficient for day-to-day purposes.

At Coinremitter, we recognize the importance of scalability and efficiency in crypto payments. While Bitcoin's journey to replace traditional fiat systems may take time, it's encouraging to witness ongoing developments to enhance its usability. It's essential for the crypto community to collaboratively explore solutions, fostering a robust and inclusive ecosystem for mainstream adoption.

As the landscape evolves, challenges persist, but continued dialogue and innovation pave the way for a more accessible and widely accepted future for cryptocurrency payments. Let's remain engaged in these discussions to contribute to the growth and maturation of the crypto space.

Absolutely, I understand the concerns raised by the community member. It's crucial to acknowledge the challenges hindering the mainstream adoption of crypto payments. Transaction fees and confirmation times, especially with Bitcoin, have indeed been points of contention. While the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies brings advantages like privacy and speed, it's essential to address these issues for wider acceptance.

In the evolving landscape of finance, overcoming such obstacles requires collaborative efforts within the crypto community. Solutions like layer 2 scaling solutions, ongoing technological advancements, and increased education about the benefits of cryptocurrencies can contribute to a more seamless and cost-effective user experience.

It's vital to recognize that the path to mainstream adoption is a dynamic process. As the industry continues to innovate, addressing user concerns and enhancing the overall usability of crypto payment systems will play a pivotal role. Patience and ongoing dialogue within the community will be key in navigating these challenges and building a foundation for broader acceptance in the future.

It's great to see your diversified approach to receiving payments in various cryptocurrencies. Managing your income across different coins can indeed be advantageous, considering their fluctuating values. Your strategy of remembering the price received for each coin and selling when needed is a smart way to handle the volatility.

Being open to receiving payments in Bitcoin, Litecoin, and USDT shows flexibility, especially given the preferences of your clients. Your recommendation to use multiple currencies, even when living in the States, highlights the importance of financial versatility.

It's interesting to note that while your primary income is in 90% FIAT, you prefer Litecoin for its efficiency, and you're open to other coins based on transfer times and fees. This adaptability in your financial approach is commendable.

Your offer of web services in exchange for Bitcoin is a great initiative, allowing you to potentially earn more in this valuable cryptocurrency. It's a reminder that embracing different payment options can bring about opportunities for growth.

Remember, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin can be a powerful tool, but as you rightly mentioned, they can't correct spending urges. It's crucial to strike a balance and use these digital assets wisely.

However,  what am saying in essence is that whatsoever coin you have or you are mining please keep it safe and don't forget your password very important because you can't and will never recover the password.  I believed within a short time most of these coin will have a great value,  a value that one of it will change your story.

Crypto awareness already reached a nice peak, and I believe it will spread more and people won't dare to store their Bitcoin or altcoin in an insecure place, or device anymore. Unfortunately, people use insecure crypto exchanges where they do not have any control over their coins, and they deny the possibility of hacks and other problems.

Back to the point, mining altcoins is not profitable anymore except for some pump-and-dump coins that arrive with some huge expensive ASIC miners on the market and then slowly disappear. So, if someone buys alts, store it in a safe wallet. That's it.

I have read your post in our local thread, too. First of all, congratulations! I am glad that you were able to help your family and fulfill your dream, too. I understand the feeling because it is my first Motorcycle purchase from selling crypto assets! But then I started to regret it because the coin I was holding started to boom after too many months. I don't want to tell you the amount, but that was almost $1.5 Million when it touched the ATH. I hope you won't regret it.

[I lost all the bitcoins I had invested, it's sad. But I am very happy and glad to be able to fulfill my father's business and my own dreams]

Why do you believe you lost your bitcoins? I do not think so. Is helping your father in the family business and pursuing your dreams a loss? If you would have lost your bitcoins because of a drop in the price of bitcoin, for example, or your bitcoins were stolen, that would be a loss.

I feel he picked the word "lost" due to the language barrier. Indeed, he meant he spent all his bitcoins!

If you set your computer's time zone to Howland Island's time zone, it probably works again for the coming 89 minutes.
I didn't try it because I don't think the website has much information, but I wanted to check it. No problem, I will check back later once things get fixed.

I see 4.0 stars. Or 4.4, I don't know why there are 2 different versions. Or 4.7 for Apple.

Charles-Tim already explains it. When I search for an unstoppable wallet on Play Store, the first result shows it with 3+ star ratings. Of course, I didn't scroll to see the actual ratings as I thought some competitors might be doing their business strangely.

But I like Unstoppable wallet because it is open source and because it is supporting passphrase. Hardly will you see multicoins wallet that will support passphrase.

At least it's still better than closed-source wallets. I will try to meet my needs with this one if I can.
654  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: November 25, 2023, 09:22:24 AM
I have heard about this wallet before but did not try it until yesterday. After installing the app, I was disappointed that it does not have many coins. But after watching the video linked in the OP, I learned it does support multiple chains and many alts too. I tried to access the website https://unstoppable.money/, but I cannot access it.

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from unstoppable.money (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

Usually, I bypass these warnings by clicking on advance, but I can't continue this time. Not sure if it's me only or if it is the same for everyone. The rating on play store is not good at all. A open source wallet with 3 star rating is not good enough.

Let's not make a conclusion. I am watching the progress they are going to make. Let's hope this is promising.

I respect your opinion BitcoinGirl.Club. I cannot imagine anything good about the BC game anymore after seeing their shady behavior for a long time just like you cannot tolerate cases of Rollbit. Did you see this development yet? BC game marked this case as solved, but the accuser did not receive his winnings. Moreover, he lost 1.25 Bitcoin due to price fluctuations. All his winnings were void and they agree to return his deposit amounts only. But they offered him 124000 USDT instead of Bitcoin which was the value when he deposited. Nice to see they came up with a new account to solve these things.

I was here to tell you that unstoppable wallet does not meet my needs, but then I clicked on the link you provided. I checked the video the OP provided, and it seems unstoppable wallet already supports many chains and coins. I have to enable the coins to see them in my GUI. I didn't understand it at first, and I was kind of disappointed to see only a couple of choices of alts there.

I was about to choose Guarda or Safepal, but I guess I won't have to. I heard safepal become open source but I cannot trust coin telegraph. Also, Guarda claims they are partially open source. Thanks for providing the link.

Tongue

For what it`s worth, I can tell that one of the disputes is about to be "fixed", at least that`s what it looks like - fingers crossed!
Also, I was told that they would get back to responding. Let`s see...

Your engagement with this website is helpful for players who are victims of this casino. At least it's helpful for players who are in this forum. We should appreciate that you have worked with them for a while and helped players solve their issues. But where there is smoke, there is a fire. I guess you already understand that this casino has some Darkside. Imagine there are no efialtis and their support does not answer the victims for two months! Would you suggest players play on such a platform?

Even if they solve all the issues now, I believe they will solve the accusations with a small amount and the accusations with a bigger amount will remain unsolved. They will solve some of them because they want to fix their reputation. Even if they solve all of them, I won't suggest anyone play on such a platform. It's a BIG NO from me.

I don’t agree, if they are to solve all the issues in a good way, than I don’t see any reason to not play on the site anymore. Any gambling site will have some difficult moments and if they can overcome those, than I would give them a second chance.
@Efialtis, thanks for getting involved and your message, hopefuuly everyhting will soon be resolved!

That's your unpopular personal opinion. I believe most people suggest not playing in such a casino even if they solve all the issues after all these dramas. It's not like we saw this kind of accusation last week or month. They have been like this for a long time but the good thing was they were listening to forum members back then.

As of now, they barely care about forum reputation. If they do, there is no reason for a casino to speak nothing in the last two months. Even if they solve all the issues, I don't think players will ever trust them. At least I won't.
659  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: November 25, 2023, 08:25:07 AM

For the first time in the last five months, other Bangladeshi locals were able to beat me. Usually, I was too active in our local thread, but recently, I had to cool down due to massive spam in our local thread. We Bangladeshi people have been expecting a local board for a long time now, and we are trying hard to improve the quality.

But instead, we got dozens of spammers who copy-paste news and write nonsense and started abusing the system. I felt like I should step down slowly from there as some other senior members already stepping down. Thanks for the chart Rikafip.
Smile!! You don't have to step down and if you does the local thread will just collapsed so all what you have to do is to create a topic and list all the chronic spammers that you and warn them that if they refused to stop spamming the thread then you will submit the list in the Spam reporting thread in general board everyone to see. And bump the thread every week and if they continue the spamming habit then you submit to the spam reporting thread in Reputation Board.

Agbe, I am happy to inform you and Rikafip too that since I posted here in this thread and also posted in fillippone's thread about it, at least they stopped using the forum feature for now and I hope they won't repeat it again. The reason why I did not post on global boards about it is that I wanted to fix things locally. Some senior and junior members also agree with it. If global members start digging into these things, some of my locals will end up having some neutral feedback. I wanted to have a discussion with them in our local thread but it didn't worked for long time until I post this. I am happy to say that things in control for now.

Your quality contributions has earned you all those merit and I must say that you deserve it. Thanks, Sim_card!
I don't know how quality-full my posts are, but I guess the merits I have earned from the posts are well enough to get merited. Thanks for the wish. I always had a feeling that maybe you have been one of my country mates for a long time. But then I came to know you are from a different local board. Your choice of username is kind of odd.
