641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 03, 2024, 04:45:55 PM
The odds are very attractive Girona @2.55 v Atletico Madrid @2.70

Which one would you take if you were to place a bet? Already know that Girona is currently quite impressive from every match they play at home is quite good only lost 1x and now meet Atletico Madrid which they do not want to be far behind Girona.

What are the odds for a draw selection? Well, that's what I will bet on and I will ignore the size of the two odds given to choose Girona and Atletico Madrid to win.
I know that Girona has become the hardest team to beat, but in this match against Atletico they will get the difference, unlike beating the La Liga team they have previously beaten.

Girona's last match ended in a draw against Real Betis. To get another draw at home does not rule out the possibility that this will happen in this tough match.

Capital 2 points for Liverpool is not enough because Manchester City will definitely catch up behind, I think the next Liverpool match must win and still win 3 points so as not to be taken over the standings unless Manchester City make a mistake until they lose.

A further point difference is certainly better and that is what a standings leader like Liverpool wants. Two points is only a very close difference because once Liverpool loses and Manchester City wins, then Manchester City will take over position 1 in the standings.

Newcastle player crisis due to injury? Well I see some players missing and it affects them on the field including in UCL matches that must fall.

Several players absent due to injury make it difficult to expect good results. Eddie Howe is not the one to blame. Newcastle didn't make many player purchases when they started this season. Yes, maybe the problem there is that it makes it difficult to face competition in the UCL and Premier League, but Lewis Miley is a player who has arrived at the right time for Newcastle.
Actually Liverpool and Newcastle are two teams that I like in the Premier League.

Newcastle will end this performance for the better.
643  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 03, 2024, 09:28:58 AM
... From my experience, and as far as I can tell browsing on mobile phone forums, most people are rooting their phone to customize it further. Stuff like installing custom Youtube to block ads etc. At the end of the day using a phone is just risky and anyone should be aware of the risk.

Mobile use specifically for wallets is not recommended for using various types of applications that are not needed. That's why I mentioned in the post above that if the OP cannot ensure that the mobile (Android and iOS) is truly safe without any online activity, then using a wallet will not be safe.

I followed one of the posts I came across on a forum on how to use the mobile version of the wallet even if it was only used as a small transaction. A mobile with a wallet installed cannot have more other applications, even built-in applications. If the default mobile application can be uninstalled, that also needs to be done.

You are right. The act of installing an application that functions to prevent advertising sourced from outside — third parties will ultimately be very risky.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are high - a problem? Not for everyone! on: January 03, 2024, 08:56:01 AM
You are quite right Bitcoin possibly cannot replace Fiat. The best possible outcome is Bitcoin will only become more adopted as a currency for transactions. However looking at the odds this is still going to be challenging based on the fact that most governmental  laws are against Bitcoin in many countries and also because as Bitcoin adoption increases so will fees.

Bitcoin fees is definitely not a problem for everyone but it is for a majority of users. Even those who are able to pay these high fees easily are still not happy with it because they are aware that it is possible for them to pay lesser.

I read the Bitcoin whitepaper again and in the conclusion Bitcoin is only an electronic transaction system without the need to rely on trust and without going through financial institutions called third parties.
Bitcoin through its whitepaper is not meant to replace fiat money but as an alternative to make it easier for people to carry out transactions anywhere with just a digital signature as a solution to not needing a third party.

Many countries that I know of still carry out strict supervision of Bitcoin because its use in framing violates the provisions even though it is not guaranteed to be 100% correct.
If one day we experience for ourselves that Bitcoin will become the most widely adopted currency, I think that will be the time when they realize that using Bitcoin technology is more effective than a transaction system using fiat.

Fees are increasing, in my opinion, not because of the large adoption of Bitcoin but because there are several ongoing problems that are still being sought for solutions.
High fees can be a problem for business people who use Bitcoin as a means of payment. However, I am confident and optimistic that the problem of high Bitcoin transaction fees will return to normal. I'm sure it will be finished in about two months.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Bitcoin on: January 02, 2024, 06:31:02 PM
Everyone here probably wants Bitcoin to be a legal means of payment, making it easier to make transactions because some Bitcoiners live in countries that do not allow transactions using Bitcoin other than regulated fiat.

For bitcoiners who can use Bitcoin as a means of payment, maybe not just to pay for hotels, more than that they can spend it other than just paying for hotels.

One word, I think it is less interesting to equate cryptocurrency with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is different from cryptocurrency in many ways.
646  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Most safe wallet for mobile wallet on: January 02, 2024, 05:00:00 PM
I know, it's not recommended to store many Coins on a mobile wallet but when it's a low amount, what wallet is most safe for mobile wallet?

No requirement to store Altcoin, Bitcoin is enough.

Only trusted sources and for

Apple device
Android device

I'm just connecting from what other people have mentioned here that as long as you can't ensure that the mobile wallet (IOS and Android) you use doesn't have internet access (usually people use SIM cards on mobile), then it won't be safe.

For the question of good wallets without having to support altcoins, the answer is BlueWallet and Electrum. BlueWallet supports both types of mobile (IOS and Android). Electrum is also compatible with the Android mobile version only, not the IOS version.

Electrum and BlueWallet are open source Bitcoin wallets. Open source wallets are recommended for use. The use of it (wallet) must be correct.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 02, 2024, 04:40:54 PM
I think in the upcoming match West Ham has a chance to get three points. Moyes' team has an excellent form, plays at home and has no serious problems with the squad. Brighton is a strong and played team, but recently the Seagulls have often lost points. Although in the last round Brighton managed to inflict a defeat on Tottenham. So West Ham is waiting for a tough game.

In four meetings, Brighton was more dominant head to head with 3 wins and 1 defeat which occurred at the last meeting, 26 August 2023, match 3 or the first half of the season.
I don't think it's very encouraging to use head to head statistics for their second match in the second half of the season because West Ham has recently shown a promising game by beating Manchester United and Arsenal.

On the other hand, I also have doubts that West Ham will appear dominant at home to achieve their third win in a row against Brighton.
Judging by the strength of Roberto De Zerbi's team, my gut feeling is more certain that the most likely result in my opinion is a draw.
The reason is, both teams have shortcomings. Mitoma injury. Meanwhile, Lucas Paqueta, who has been an influential player in the West Ham team, also suffered an injury when they beat Arsenal and had to be replaced in the 33rd minute.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: January 02, 2024, 05:40:44 AM
The winning is big for Liverpool if we only see the final result but during the match, it was not easy for Liverpool. They dominated this match, created many opportunities but had to wait till early of second half to get an opening goal. After that, it's an equalizer for Newcastle United by Isak. Even when Liverpool scored two more goals to lead 3 -1, they let Newcastle United to have another goal to make it only 3 -2. No guarantee that Liverpool can win the match with that temporary result but finally, Jota found a penalty for them, and Salah nailed the winning.

The Magpies come to Anfield with many shortcomings. Several main players were sidelined due to injuries, such as Trippier. Trying to get the best result against Liverpool on paper will definitely not work, but they can put up no less good resistance even though they have to admit defeat 4-2.

Liverpool won and the victory was not a big victory but an important victory to maintain their position in the standings table.
This victory made Liverpool ahead by 2 points from Manchester City, which I calculated from Manchester City's 20 matches even though currently they have only played 19 times.

A team experiencing a crisis will find it difficult to win against a team that is in the best form. Like Newcastle, when a storm of injuries occurs in their squad, it is difficult to explain what strategy is good for the coach to implement.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 01, 2024, 08:30:42 PM
Liverpool vs Newcastle united

This is an opportunity for Liverpool to take a comfortable lead on the top of the table with three points ahead the second place Aston villa, currently Liverpool are better in performance than Newcastle united because Newcastle united only won one match in last five matches while Liverpool won two matches. The game has started and let see how it's goes.

Liverpool dominated the game and that's what's happening now 25 minutes in. We will see the progress in the next 25 minutes.
By the way, Newcastle played an away match with many shortcomings which can be seen from the line up installed by Eddie Howe. Trippier and several main players suffered injuries. For me, hoping that the Magpies win this match is difficult.

For Liverpool, this match cannot afford to lose points. Even a draw could make them unsafe at the top of the standings because Manchester City could take over with one game remaining.
By the 30th minute of the match, Newcastle had only taken 1 shots. Liverpool is already 12.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 01, 2024, 08:05:18 PM
-snip-

My question is :
Do you know the status of your health while gambling and what do you do if you happen to suffer a mild or hard stroke?

This is why I make it a point to open my messenger and have my loved one that I can contact in case, whenever I'm playing alone.
I have never checked my health status apart from checking my blood type because I need to donate to my friend's family who need several bags of blood.
Mild or severe stroke sufferers who already know their status are not advised to gamble because they can experience the disease suddenly when they express victory or defeat after the game is finished.

The expression you get when you win a big enough win can make your heart rate not normal.
When that happens, I think a player whose health status does not experience symptoms of a stroke could have a different reaction, especially a player whose health status is known to have had a stroke. Mistakes can result in paralysis and loss of life.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What course can one study in university that can build potential in bitcoin? on: January 01, 2024, 07:38:19 PM
The time has passed when people go to university without considering studying a course that aligns with modern technology. Bitcoin and Blockchain technology are some of the areas one can consider building potential while choosing a course of study in a university.

Economics faculties and computer engineering faculties are still relevant and have something to do with Bitcoin for those who have chosen and have started studying.
In terms of economic facts, the course material taught is still around transactions and trading methods as well as market behavior that can be practiced in investment and trading activities by people who use Bitcoin as an investment and trading asset. Like me, who is currently studying at the economics faculty, majoring in management at a university.

For those who have chosen to study at an engineering faculty majoring in networking and programming, it is very closely related to Bitcoin technology.
But it depends on the person's will, even though the person is studying in that department, but there is no interest in focusing on that section.

Lectures are important as formal recognition in the social environment. However, if the goal is to be able to learn Bitcoin technology, lectures are not that important because there are many informal spaces that can be used as a place for learning such as courses.
We can also add loads by taking advantage of easy internet access.

Kalau hanya mengumpulkan data momen penting selama setahun kebelakang khususnya di sub Indonesia, nampaknya sedikit gan.
Sekedar referensi tambahan, dulu om Manji pernah membuat semacam sejarah sub Indonesia, dari diskusi sebelum dan awal mula terbentuknya local board Indonesia, memilih moderator, dst.:
"Sejarah SF Indonesia".

654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and Losing My First Bitcoin on: December 30, 2023, 07:29:51 PM
✂️ I had a hard time losing my first bitcoin.

How did it feel when you first invested in Bitcoin?

It's great to receive notifications indicating that Bitcoin has entered your wallet.
Losing Bitcoin because you don't know how to save it. For beginners, losing Bitcoin is due to various mistakes caused by not knowing how to store and maintain it.

I didn't immediately enter the world of Bitcoin investment even though someone told me about Bitcoin on one occasion. I learned slowly what I had to do before I entered it.
The first thing I learned was about wallets and their security. If I have a lot of money and can afford to buy Bitcoin, if I don't know how to store and maintain it, then I think it will be a waste. And for me, when I was still a beginner, learning about wallets and their security was the foundation for starting activities in Bitcoin and other coins.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 30, 2023, 02:15:13 PM
Chelsea is too early to get 1 goal in the 20th opening match against Luton which is taking place now.
Palmer was very difficult for Luton's defense to stop. Chelsea's 1 goal lead was purely a blunder by one of Luton's players who gave Palmer a pass. Kabore meant that the ball was given to his friend but because Palmer was too quick to cut the ball, he managed to shoot hard with his left foot which the Luton goalkeeper couldn't anticipate.

Chelsea temporarily doubled their lead again with 2 goals. With these two goals up to the 37th minute, I think Pochettino's team will lock in 3 points in this match.
I have no doubts that Chelsea will win because Chelsea's game is quite good.
Chelsea is stronger than Luton and I have hope that they will win the match today, which they have shown their superior over Luton by scoring two goals in the first half. From the look of the game, I don't think that Luton will be able to equalize these two goals in the second half because Chelsea is really dominating the match and they were in control of the first half. Luton is still finding it difficult to break the deadlock and I hope they will be able to do that in the second half. It is not yet over, until it is over and let's watch out what will be the outcome of this match by the end of the second half.

With normal time remaining, it is certain that Chelsea will win this match because the score is already 0-3.
Chelsea's attacks in this match were built through the wing sector and this strategy succeeded in making it difficult for Luton to decide on their attacks.
This strategy is worthy of being maintained by Pochettino in other matches.

To equalize, Luton managed to score 2 goals. 1 goal was disallowed because the Luton striker was caught offside first. The score has changed to 1-3, even though there are still around 15 minutes left in the match, I'm not sure the score will be a draw.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 30, 2023, 01:10:57 PM
Luton vs Chelsea is the headline of today's match and as everyone knows, Chelsea will likely have difficulty getting full points in this match. As a team in the relegation zone, Luton will definitely not make concessions to Chelsea, especially when they attack Luton with all their might to defend their goal from being conceded. The only strategy that Luton can use is to defend and therefore they will probably only try to take a draw.

657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 29, 2023, 09:31:14 PM
Bets can not force one to stake, but a gambler can force themselves to stake a bet, even when he or she does not have money to bet. Some gamblers did not learn how to gamble. They just see themselves doing it, but they can't stop it. Why because they can't control themselves, even when they are not an addicted gambler?
What do we have to say about this?

The point that I get from this topic is that it is self-control that determines whether a gambler can stop gambling even though the gambler is not an addict and it is not money that determines whether or not a gambler can stop gambling.

Okay. I always like discussions about how to stop the habit of gambling, even though during my time on gambling boards I have often come across discussions like this before.

Not being able to control yourself is also called an addiction because it is an action that has psychological origins. For me, setting gambling goals must be carried into one's soul before entering into gambling.
Even though someone is not an addict, no one wants to be an addict because getting out of addiction is very difficult or not an easy job.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: December 29, 2023, 09:13:13 PM
Questions like this has popped out in several occasions and arguments concerning Bitcoin investment. My friends will say you must lose before you gain or rather have more experience investing in Bitcoin. If its how it work, Bitcoin isn't for a low income earner as well as not gonna make you rich when you can't invest something tangible to it. On the other hand people are been made big and wealthy in same program. What does it in tell,

Bitcoin is for everyone not for high earners. People with low incomes can also own Bitcoin. If Bitcoin works only for high-income people, then low-income people cannot own Bitcoin. For me Bitcoin is not like that. Everyone has the right to own Bitcoin if they have the desire to own it.

For me, investing experience in Bitcoin is not the main thing, but knowledge of Bitcoin as a whole is what is needed.
Once someone has the basics about Bitcoin, then investment experience needs to be increased, such as understanding how the market works. Bitcoin investments that are made for the long term with a set target, I don't think require much experience except for making Bitcoin an asset for trading.

Buy cheap sell high. It is difficult to implement or not as easy as one might think, at least in investment, the DCA method or regular savings is a very simple investment pattern that can be done by people who want to invest their money in Bitcoin.
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 29, 2023, 09:27:35 AM
I see wallets that their owners never moved coins from for 10 years and wonder how they do it.

Not me, but other holders who kept Butcoin in their wallets for years. In my opinion, they chose a Bitcoin wallet that wasn't just random. They take good care of everything related to access to their assets such as seed phrases, private keys and passcodes, of course keeping them away from internet connections.

This is very common, but my guess is that they do it — hold Bitcoin for years that way.

If you are amazed, carry out storage steps properly and correctly. You will be a winner with the Bitcoin you have.

If you're a HODLer, when do you hope to sell? Would you cash out if Bitcoin soars to $100,000 or sit back and wait until it gets to a million?

Some time ago, I spent some Bitcoin from my wallet for urgent needs. Hoping to sell at the highest price and will try to hold it in the wallet until the new ATH comes. This means that if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 USD in the future, then I will cash out most of the amount of Bitcoin I have which I am trying to continue to increase little by little.

If that happens within the next year from now, then that's the time limit I will hold.

Of course, I am still progressing. Slow and steady.
For your guidance, it’s pretty straightforward to see where I got reviewing, as I usually give merit to the post with the links.
I am currently around 28 of September, or page 43.
I am also travelling, so I have some difficulties on these days without my usual setup to get on par with distribution pace.

Enjoying holidays while doing activities will not be optimal, perhaps patience is needed for every user who has created an application for review.
I really understand the situation you are in right now even though I haven't submitted a single review application in this thread yet. Have a nice holiday, @fillippone.
Sorry about this.

@DYING_S0UL, page 43 not yet complete, just got to #847 which has been reviewed by the OP.
