641  Other / Meta / Re: New Report to moderator stats ;) thank you theymos on: May 20, 2018, 02:44:10 PM
I don't have a report history or the amount which is good, bad or unhandled so I don't think it's ranked based. I've made a very small amount of reports though so I'm guessing the more in depth stats become available once you've reported over a certain amount of posts.

Users who didn't made a report in the last 30 days, normally couldn't find anything in their history.
If you mean that you have for example less than 10 reports and you couldn't see how many are good/bad/unhandled then probably you are right about the minimum requirement (even if i don't understand the reason behind it)

Edit : @thequin & welsh : yeah probably.
642  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: May 20, 2018, 02:38:29 PM
Haha i am new bie here
It is really funny to be a newbie... But the best part is to stay junior forever if you know what I mean.

I would like to reduce the requirements for ranks Sad
It will not happens, just read the rules and contribute positively to the forums if you want to progress.
643  Other / Meta / Re: Fake profiles joining old/closed bounties for some reason. on: May 19, 2018, 10:36:39 PM
...
I don't know but I think that asking a simple question before every post for newbies could be better than asking it upon registration.

Example of questions : who created Bitcoin? Who created merit in bitcointalk? Complete the missing letter in bitcoi*talk. The minimum merit required to be a full member? And so on, simple questions for every post until the user becomes a junior or a member.
I really like your idea that it forces newbies to educate themselves in connection with bitcoin and the forum, because if they really want to stay here for a long time they need to know these things anyway...
My only problem is that the way they have to answer the question should be programmed somehow not to let them answer automatically (to stop bots). Also, the questions should change from time to time...

Yes it is case sensitive normally so a hint could be add "answer is a word with 5 letters" for example.
Also, the question normally should be translated for every local sub.
644  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: May 19, 2018, 10:31:08 PM
Can anyone explain how this rule works, is it some kind of selective?

Giveaway threads are not allowed
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2103687.0

I would like to register in airdropah, but the possibility of getting a ban stops me, although such distribution topics are very much in the section bounty and airdrop.

Or in  Bounties (Altcoins) not banned for this?

You can join bounties and airdrops. But you will get banned if you make random tashy spammy posts.
For a post like this can get a ban?

#Join-#Proof of authentication
Bitcointalk username:
Twitter Link:
Telegram:

If you make 100% of your posts in that form then it is possible, if you put a fake social media id then it is possible too.

Why are you acting like an auto-bot?
Too lazy to click on the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote ?

why should I get tagged as a scammer? tell me that.

What do you call someone who is willing to gets your money even if he wasn't able to do the job without giving a refund to the customer?
Even if you put rules, others have the right for not trusting you... You have to accept it and think twice about what you are doing.

What do you call the lawyers? they can't always win but they get the money for doing their best.

Digaran, the lawyer isn't doing his job in an open-air or in the street. He is doing it in the court, he tries to do the best he can in order to convince the judge that the accused person is innocent...
Who is the judge in your case? I think that you are aware that trust isn't moderated and even theymos couldn't remove it. Are you trying to convince depth1 DT to exclude depth2? well if you don't have solid arguments of abuse then good luck.
649  Other / Meta / Re: Was Satoshi from USA? (during 2009-2010) on: May 18, 2018, 06:09:43 PM
how can we believe when someone admits himself as Satoshi ?
does it happen before ?

1- when he gives valid proofs.
2- Yea, it happened before and it may happens in the future : I don't consider Wikipedia as a reliable source but it could contains some informations so take a look here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto#Craig_Steven_Wright

Whether you make your topics in ivory tower/serious discussion or you will see the resurrection of off-topic v3 discussion board (v2 is obviously politics and society but kind of much better nowadays, at least since the last time i visited it).

I prefer to not say the repetitive sentences used by spam bots since it gets handled quickly but yesterday when I inspected 4 accounts that made spammy posts in less than 3 minutes interval, i found that they all joined at the same day (may 8, 2018) and few minutes/hours between each.
Hazard? I doubt!

Hopefully people don't go on a rant when they see that one of their posts got marked bad though.

It is legitimate to know why in order to improve our reports quality imo.
Well, i don't ask for it urgently but hopefully it will happens in the future.
I consider this as a good move. Thx theymos.

Don't know where you read that satoshi is from Japan?even if he has a Japanese's origin , he could be living in the USA right now.

Edit : removed links of images (it didn't appear rapidly)
659  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] 1 Merit to become junior member and access to bounties sub on: May 16, 2018, 05:26:05 PM
It will be nice. Before now, I didn't even know a newbie don't need any merit to rank up to Jr member. It will even help to restrict multiple new accounts aiming to rank upto Jr member

660  Other / Meta / Re: Is a campaign manager responsible for preventing low quality posting? on: May 16, 2018, 04:11:23 PM
1 or 2 years ago, Yobit and Bitmixer owners received negative trusts for allowing random spammers joining their signature campaigns without any restrictions and also for not managing it properly and for counting shitposts.
Soon after h&co and lauda managed it (respectively), the situation has changed 180%.
Why not doing the same with bounties managers and its owners?
Why not making an unofficial "watch list" of approved managers where the owner has to select one manager from the list. This list is open for every manager with an updated history of his works, then the ones who mismanaged his campaign will be barred from the list definitely or for few months (depends case by case). Users who has been barred couldn't manage anything in bitcointalk, if he opens a topic, it will be removed and he will be banned.
