Atalanta's declining performance is indeed a mystery even though previously they were in the top 4 of the standings and now have to drop to 6th position. Actually, incidents like this are nothing new because other teams such as Roma or Bologna have also shown their best so that both of them can pass Atalanta with easy. If we look at the last 5 matches, it was very unsatisfactory where Atalanta only collected 1 win with the rest being draws and losses.

But it was also a difficult match where the opponents were the top teams at the moment so it was only natural that the result would not be as expected. They have tried their best and at least they can still secure 3 points against Sassuolo. Is it possible that Atalanta will be able to regain its top 4 position or will it only be able to stay in its current position and compete with Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio? We should wait considering that this season's competition will be even more exciting for the teams above except Inter.

Augsburg is really crazy, they shot up from the bottom position until finally they are now in 7th place in the standings. This cannot be separated from their 4 consecutive wins and it is the same as they managed to collect 12 additional points. In the last 5 matches they only lost to Mainz and after that they managed to beat their opponents.

I think it's quite rare to see their recent performance improve so sharply, but they can't be happy yet because there are still teams behind them who are trying to get them back. Augsburg's next match will be against Koln and it shouldn't be a difficult match for them, especially since previously they also managed to beat fairly balanced teams like Wolfburg and others. An additional 3 points will make them closer to Frankfurt and at the same time be in contention for European competitions.

I tried to find out last season's standings where Clermont finished in 8th place in the standings and what we see this season is far from what they did last season. Currently Clermont is slumping at the bottom of the standings and is at risk of being relegated. The reason is that from 26 matches they only collected 4 wins, 8 draws and 14 defeats. Obviously that's not a good result and is very chaotic for the season.

Now Clermont need at least 6 points to get away from the relegation zone and they have to get it before it's all over. But of course it's not easy because Metz and Nantes will always shadow them. In the next two matches, Clermont will face Toulouse and PSG, of course it won't be easy, especially against PSG, they will definitely lose. But at least Clermont should win against Toulouse later and that will be a turning point for them with the remaining games currently available.

I can assume that they will be relegated from League 1 and the transformation will not happen. They are worse than their competitors in literally everything (only Lorient conceded more goals, but scored much more).
As for the upcoming games, I think in the game with PSG their chances are quite real - PSG has already secured the title and now they have decisive games in the Champions League, they just don’t care about Ligue 1 now.
If we think about it carefully, this could happen and considering that they are not able to compete with other teams, it is very likely that they will not be able to improve their existing results. Their performance always weakens in every match and when they can't grasp this well then the results will just slip away. For Lorient, maybe they still have great enthusiasm to be able to do their best and have proven that they can escape from the red zone, but indeed if they have difficulty winning again then they might go down again.

PSG could think like that but still both are very important for PSG and I think Ligue 1 is the main thing they can get before finally working in the Champions League. Indeed, so far they have no problems in Ligue 1, they just need to win a few more times before ending their title this season.

Not only did they bring in Mbappe and Davies in the summer but Real Madrid is also interested in signing Alexander Arnold from Liverpool. As is known, the player's contract will end next year or more precisely in June 2025, so Real Madrid is monitoring the development of the English player more closely. Apart from that, there is no other reason for Alexander Arnold to stay at Anfield if coach Jurgen Klopp leaves next season, so this further strengthens his move to another club.

I think it would be a brilliant career advancement for Alexander Arnold if he joined Real Madrid because he could win another title after spending seasons with Liverpool. He must also be aware that Liverpool will not be as strong as before if Jurgen Klopp leaves him, so he must immediately consider it if an offer from Real Madrid comes. On the other hand, he is also very suitable as Dani Carvajal's successor for the RB position and it would be very pleasing for Los Blancos fans if their favorite team also managed to sign Alexander Arnold.

Joselu has expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid on a permanent basis rather than on loan again. It seems like Joselu wants to prove that he is still capable of being Los Blancos' mainstay striker, but of course next season the competition will be more difficult. We know that the arrival of young players from Brazil, namely Endrick and Mbappe, are rumored to be getting closer to Real Madrid and just waiting for some paperwork to be signed will certainly make the competition even fiercer for Joselu.

We know it is unlikely that Joselu will get a starting place and perhaps he would be more suitable as a cover for these young players. Joselu is already 33 years old and it seems like he doesn't want to go anywhere else and only wants to play for Real Madrid. Joselu's release clause is also very cheap and Real Madrid only needs to pay 1.5 million euros. Moreover, if you look at Joselu's role, he is also part of the Spanish national team and Real Madrid should not want to just let him go.

Do you think Joselu deserves to be retained by Real Madrid?

Milan have done a really good job by taking advantage of Juventus' bad form recently. They are at the second position now after this. I find their productivity quite decent this season compared to their nearest opponents like Juventus and Bologna. The main problem is more related to Milan's defending. They have conceded 33 goals in 29 games.  Sad

They can actually solve this problem by transferring better defenders this summer. They spent 100 million+ euros in total for transfers last summer if I'm not wrong. They should focus on their defense line more next time they make transfers. If they conceded much less goals than this now they could have been in the title race.
Sometimes, even though a team has a good performance, there are things that are missing from their view. It's possible that Milan is currently ahead of Juventus in the standings, but as you said, they have conceded so many goals and that is a serious problem, especially for a big team. Maybe even though Milan often concede goals, they have a reliable squad so this is not a problem because they can always be productive.

But the most fearful thing is if a player experiences a decline in performance and this is caused by many factors. It seems like Milan doesn't want that to happen and they have to avoid this problem as much as possible. Well, defensive players are one of the important keys so that they don't concede too many goals because the defense also has to be strong even though their attack line is always productive. I think Pioli is also preparing a list of players they are ready to recruit at the end of the season.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: March 21, 2024, 01:15:23 PM
Saudi Pro League plans to stop spending this summer (after spending $876 mil in summer 2023 and $25 mil in winter/Jan 2004). The average attendance of 8,321 so far this year, has come down about 10% from the prior season. Since the investments haven't paid off with the live viewership, they might cut losses and let it be. With Saudi earning themselves the World Cup, which might have been their goal in the first place. They might not be that keen on investing anymore.
Well, sometimes things don't hit the mark and it's clear how the Saudi league must suffer quite a loss because it doesn't live up to previously predicted expectations. Now the Saudi league will certainly be ready to slowly lose its existing profits and this is all because of the lack of vigilance that they have already bet on. At first I thought everything would be fine but sometimes spending that much money on European players feels unreasonable and it's only a matter of time before everything breaks down.

It seems that the Saudi league is also no longer able to manage its existing finances and it is possible that if they give up on the situation they have already created then this league will again be devoid of its many star players. I honestly don't want that to happen and I hope there is another way they can find to deal with this.

What's happening to Girona is not new to the eyes, it is also similar to what happened to arsenal last season and I don't think anybody should be blamed for it, everything has to do with the mentality and ability of the players and coaching staff. For me I think they have had an amazing season since last year taking the lead for a long period of time putting both Barca and real Madrid and even athletico Madrid on their feet until they lost their place to real Madrid who have now extended their lead on the table.
Not only that, there were similarities where Girona would become Leicester in 2016, where they won the league by completely dominating for a season. But it seems that this assumption is not proven by Girona's declining performance and they are experiencing a season full of obstacles. We know that it is not easy to maintain the top position with so much pressure in every match, especially since teams full of history like Real Madrid or Barcelona are always lurking from behind.

In the end, Girona must be satisfied with their current condition and at least they are still fighting for a place in 2nd place in the standings to close this season and of course they will not be alone because Barcelona has also started to move and is only 2 points away. I think this will be a fierce battle between two Catalan teams and this is something we rarely see.

Previously, it was reported that Arsenal were interested in bringing in Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyökeres, but it seems that the Gunners are not satisfied with their list of players and now they have moved again and put Alexander Isak's name on their summer radar. As we know, both Viktor Gyökeres and Alexander Isak are players from Sweden and both are spearheads for their national team.

If we look at Aleksandar Isak's statistics with Newcastle this season, he has scored 12 goals in 20 matches and last season he scored 10 goals. Actually, as a striker, Alexander Isak is quite productive and could be a solution for Arsenal in the attack line. It seems that Mikel Arteta will also not have full hopes for the performance of Gabriel Jesus, who often suffers from injuries and because of this, Arsenal needs refreshment in the attack line. Whoever Arsenal will bring in next summer will certainly help Arsenal secure a more guaranteed victory.

Deduction 10 points makes Everton is not in the favourable situations because now they have to hard struggling to avoiding relegation zone and 4 difference points above to Nottingham Forest the team in the relegation zone makes Everton position is very not secured moreover Everton still unable to bounce back with suffering several loses even during 2024 since January Everton was unable to gets the winning results and their records since January until this month is 5 draw from 8 matches in Premier League so this makes Everton losing plenty of points from those matches and the latest is Everton have to lost from Manchester United

Sean Dyche was replace Frank Lampard position as a manager since 2023 January indeed at that time Sean Dyche can able to save Everton from relegation to the Championship division but unfortunately after can survive at Premier League Everton performance hasn't showing significant progress even now they have to repeat their achievement last season that to avoiding relegation zone

For Everton nothing they can do now unless they have to win for upcoming matches to secured their position on league table and next weekend Everton will playing against Bournemouth and Everton probably can used this match to bounce back but it won't be easy for Everton to collect 3 points from this match because Bournemouth has showing good progress even in the last 3 matches in Premier League Bournemouth was unbeatable and collect 7 points
Even though we often see Everton struggling every season, they have proven that at least they can survive without ever being relegated for more than 70 years. The last time Everton were relegated was in 1951 and that was a very long time ago and they still prove they will never stop fighting even though they have problems or sometimes have to fight with other teams to avoid the relegation zone.

It is indeed felt that Sean Dyhce is not capable of handling Everton, but I think even though the results are still not very satisfactory, at least he can still be given the opportunity to manage Everton next season. As long as Everton survives this season, I think there is no reason for Everton to keep him. Sean Dyche must be given another chance to build this squad and the 10 point deduction stems from internal problems at the club and not problems in the dressing room. Against Bournemouth it will be a tough match but I think Everton still deserves to be favored to win even though Bournemouth have better statistics.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 21, 2024, 11:59:56 AM
I think Arsenal and Bayern Munich are in the same situation right now despite the position of Arsenal in the EPL, Arsenal is fighting to stay ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool so they can win the league while they are also hoping to get ahead of Bayern Munich to be in the semi while Bayern Munich on the other hand is fighting to see if they can close the gap between them and league leaders Bayer Leverkusen which is currently ahead of them with 10 points, it may appear that all hope is lost for Bayern Munich in the league but they can't give up now until the season is over  who knows if Leverkusen will lose 4 matches in the last remaining games and Bayern Munich will catch up with them so they are in similar situations with Arsenal.

All Bayern can hope to do in the Bundesliga is to close the distance to Bayer Leverkusen a little, but I'm pretty sure that they don't have a goal to get ahead of Bayer Leverkusen because that goal seems unrealistic. Now all of Tuchel’s attention will be focused on the Champions League, this is the number one tournament for Bayern now, if they manage to win the Champions League, then for Tuchel this will be the best thing, since he will be able to leave the team with a victory, and in this case there will definitely be many teams, who want to see him on their team. Of course this would be great for Tuchel, but for this I need to do a lot of work, and first beat Arsenal.
I think if Tuchel manages to win the Champions League title with Bayern Munich, it is likely that the club owner or director will try to keep him. I know that sometimes the coach's decision to leave is absolute, but as long as the request is to stay, he may not leave. Actually, that would be good for Tuchel because he could at the same time prove his capacity as one of the most experienced coaches in Europe and being on a big stage like the Champions League is something he and his team must try to conquer.

On the other hand, Arsenal cannot be taken lightly, especially as this young squad is very enthusiastic about producing the first title in the club's history and maybe if Arsenal can get rid of Bayern Munich then they will advance to the semifinals. But unfortunately even if Arsenal qualify then they will face one of the strong candidates for champions between Manchester City or Real Madrid considering they are in the same chart.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 21, 2024, 11:38:37 AM

Christian Streich has announced to leave Freiburg at the end of the season. He has been involved with the club for 29 years, firstly as player then Youth club coach and in the end, head coach of the main team since 29th Dec 2011.
He said "I thought long and hard, but I believe it’s the right time after 29 years to allow in new people, new energy, new possibilities here. I also believe our players and the people around us will need that new energy. It’s always been important to me that I don’t miss the time where I believe it’s time to go."

It is extraordinary for someone to be a coach and 29 years spent at a club is not an easy thing. In fact, he started as a club player and finally continued his career as a coach for Freiburg as a whole. His love for Freiburg is ingrained and his loyalty cannot be measured by anything. It seems that he also realized that his coaching abilities were no longer comparable to those of other coaches and perhaps because of that he felt tired and preferred to leave Freiburg.

It was a wise decision, especially since Christian Streich is not new to the club and he is very open to anyone in the future being able to handle this team and bring success to each season. As a mediocre team in the Bundesliga, I think Freiburg is not too bad and in fact last season under the guidance of Christian Streich they competed in the top 4 but unfortunately they only got one place in the European league. But overall it was very good and I think with the new coach we can have the same success.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: March 20, 2024, 03:17:47 PM
He is a machine. I don't know anyone who can perform like this despite his age. He continues to be at the top of the scoring list with 23 goals in the Saudi Arabian league. Moreover, he makes this statistic just before he turns 40. A great football player and a great person. It's like he was born for football. I hope it leaves us great memories at Euro 2024 in the summer.
At his age, Rooney can not play and Wayne even retired his player career many years ago. Cristiano is still able to play and can score many goals and being a most  goal productive player in 2023 year is at his age, 39 years old is very impressive achievement from Cristiano Ronaldo individually.

He is no longer fast and good like three or four years ago but at his age, still playing and scoring goals, a lot, like him, is amazing and it's very hard to find another player who can do the same.

At his national team, he has a team mate Pepe who is playing at his 41 years old and together they will join Euro 2024 if none of them will get an injury and miss the tournament. If Pepe can play for Portugal at his 41 years old, next two years, in World Cup 2026, Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to play in that tournament, his sixth World Cup tournament.
If I'm not mistaken, in 2023 Ronaldo closed with 54 goals in all competitions including his goals with the Portuguese national team and surpassed the number of goals from other great players such as Mbappe and Haaland. However, this can still be a little proud considering its old age, but if we talk about the competitive level of the league, here the Saudi league is clearly very far from the top European leagues.

I think Ronaldo's focus at his age is no longer young, all that is needed is to keep his body fit and even though his running skills are no longer as fast as when he was young, it is clear that his finishing must still be good. We think that's all Ronaldo can rely on and in the Saudi league it shouldn't be a difficult thing for him to implement. We can see that he is still quite consistent even though there are times when he cannot win for Al-Nassr.

Injury is the thing that is most avoided and not only Ronaldo because all players will always be careful. As I said before, taking care of your body and strengthening your muscle mass is one way to avoid injury and that's why we see Ronaldo still has a strong body to this day and it works. In the Euro 2024 competition, we can still see Ronaldo competing and we also hope that the 2026 World Cup will be the last edition before he finally retires from football.

If I look at the draw results, I am quite curious about the results of the match between Benfica vs Marseille. Actually overall Benfica is still better but for now I think it will be a fairly even match. I'm sure Benfica won't be able to win easily against Marseille because this French team has found their game a little better. Having experienced a decline since the start of the season and changing coaches has finally made Marseille find its true form and in front of Benfica, I think they will put up fierce resistance.

The first leg of the match took place at Benfica's home ground and as hosts, the Portuguese team deserves to be favored and if they can win with a big score, it is likely that they will have no trouble visiting Marseille in the second leg. On the other hand, if Marseille can hold on to a draw in the first leg, they have a big chance of getting rid of Benfica in the quarterfinals. This is just my opinion, what do you think about this match going forward?
I think this match is quite balanced, it's just that I agree Benfica are a little more favored, especially in this first leg because they will play as hosts. They can use their status as hosts to win this match, so that when they do the second leg they can be a little more comfortable because they only need to maintain their advantage. I'm not making either of them favorites in the Europa League this season, although they have a chance, but their chances will not be greater than the teams that are now widely favored.
I want to see what Benfica can do in the first leg, because they have the advantage as I said before. But they also still have to be wary of Marseille who also come not to lose. Marseille must have come with at least a draw which will give them an advantage in the second leg. No team can be underestimated, especially they will do 2 matches that could be a surprise display from each team. Both Benfica and Marseille must be able to perform well if they still want to be in the Europa League for the next round.

Of course, Benfica only needs to do that to ensure their chances of qualifying are more secure and they must win at home, even if it means a landslide victory. We know that Marseille has played very well recently at home and that is certainly something Benfica doesn't want to experience when they play the second leg. As much as possible, Benfica must avoid a draw in the first leg and must make the Marseille players mentally down.

Benfica is not the favorite to win the European League but I think other teams should also be wary of it because we don't know what will happen next. It could be that after eliminating Marseille they will fight harder to win this title and in fact they have the ability to do that. So, in my opinion Benfica is the underdog team but on the other hand it can surprise other teams.

It's a shame that we didn't see representatives of teams from Italy in the quarterfinals and instead there were more teams from Spain in this round. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico were the three teams that made it through to this phase and only Real Sociedad was eliminated. I think once again Spain has proven that they have quite promising representatives and seeing Barcelona back again on the big stage is something special.

I previously didn't think that Barcelona would make it this far considering that in the previous two seasons they had always fallen since the group stage. A tough opponent is waiting for him and that is PSG, I think this time Barcelona will face a difficult road before they can reach the semifinals. We know that historically Barcelona has something to be proud of, but against PSG with the depth of its current squad, I don't think it can do enough. On the other hand, if Barcelona could send PSG home it would be an extraordinary thing and it would be something they would be proud of.

I heard news that if Xavi can take Barcelona to the semifinals then Juan Laporta will make every effort to keep Xavi so that he doesn't leave at the end of the season.

Last week Aston Villa only drew when they visited West Ham's headquarters and with this result they failed to secure full points again. The same thing happened previously where they lost against Spurs and with this they have thrown away 5 points in the last 2 matches. This will certainly have quite an impact on changes in the position of the next standings because now they cannot maintain a further distance from the teams below them.

Just look, Spurs will have the same 56 points as Aston Villa if they manage to win the next match, especially if they save one match. Manchester United also has the same opportunity to get closer to a difference of 6 points if they also win in the next match. Aston Villa is unaware that several of these teams are starting to approach them to compete for a place in the Champions League and with this international break I hope they can improve their performance before it is too late.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 20, 2024, 12:31:19 PM

There is no end to talking about Leverkusen and the last win against Freiburg put Leverkusen in 8th place in the top 10 unbeaten teams since the 2000s and they have passed Porto and PSG, who previously only won 36 times. Leverkusen is now closer to Barcelona, PSV and Inter and only needs one more unbeaten result to match this achievement. On the other hand, Leverkusen needs 5 to 6 unbeaten results if they want to unseat Juventus from the top and I think with two competitions still active it is possible they can still do it.

However, the problem is that at the end of the season it will be an increasingly difficult challenge and it is not easy for them to get good results like before. We know very well that Xabi Alonso is a genius coach this season and thanks to him Leverkusen has dominated the Bundesliga from the start of the season until now. Even Bayern Munich were unable to catch up with Leverkusen's statistics and perhaps it could be said that the title race with Bayern Munich is over. But indeed, as the only team in Europe's top league that has not been defeated this season, Leverkusen is something that every team is wary of and I actually quite hope that they will be like this in the future until the competition is over.
Leverkusen's journey this season will be able to make new history in the Bundesliga and surely Leverkusen's  still has plenty of time to extend their winning record so far, but sorry guys, as I remember if Juventus' winning record in 2011/12 was 49 games which was indeed the same as the record held by Arsenal when they won the trophy in 2003/04 when Arsenal were unbeaten (The Invincibles).
Oh yeah, why isn't Arsenal on the list?
Wasn't Arsenal also unbeaten in 2004?

For now it is very impossible for Bayern Munich to catch up Leverkusen, so I think this season it is very likely that Leverkusen will be able to get their first Bundesliga trophy in history, besides that even Alonso still has the opportunity to provide happiness that Leverkusen fans have never imagined so far, namely juxtaposing three trophies, namely the Bundesliga,  DFB Pokal and also Europa League, so far the mentality and consistency of the Leverkusen players will be tested when the season is about to end and they must be able to face a tight schedule to face in Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Europa League matches which will indeed drain their energy and concentration.

These are statistics in all competitions, not just the domestic league and it is natural that we do not see Arsenal's name on the list. Only teams that have managed to go undefeated in all competitions are on the list and Leverkusen is the only representative from Germany who can be on par with great teams from other European continents. As we know, Leverkusen is still active in all European competitions and their undefeated numbers will continue to increase.

Indeed, all Leverkusen fans are waiting for this exciting moment and there is no doubt that Leverkusen can win all the titles. What is clear is that the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal titles are the ones that Leverkusen can win at the forefront, but for the European league they have to overcome tough opponents like before, such as Liverpool or other European powers. It doesn't feel like Leverkusen's journey will reach the finish line and perhaps times like this will be very difficult to repeat.

It was rumored that he would return to play after successfully going through a series of recovery after injury at the start of the season, but some time ago Courtois was reported to have suffered another injury during a training session which resulted in him having to undergo knee surgery again. Courtois suffered an ACL meniscus injury which required surgery again and it is reported that he has successfully survived the operation.

This is truly fatal for a main goalkeeper for a team as big as Real Madrid and he will certainly leave this season without ever playing for Real Madrid once. He needed another 2 months to recover from his injury after surgery and this was a very long time to pass. It's quite sad to hear this news and of course his recovery is something the medical team must pay full attention to. Luckily without Courtois, Real Madrid is having a very good season and Andrey Lunin as his replacement is doing his job very well. I'm curious whether Courtois will be able to return to his best performance after recovering or not.

Juventus-Lazio match will be a difficult match. I can say this easily. Lazio has an offensive line that will put them in a difficult situation. They actually have important offensive players in Serie A, but I think they are in an unlucky year this year. While I thought they would be higher, they are in bad form like Juventus with surprising points losses. It is difficult to predict the outcome of this match, but a draw would be a fair score for both teams.

Lazio are still relying on Ciro Immobile now. However he hasn't been performing decently for the recent two years.  Sad  He is worse this season as well however I understand this on one hand. Because he has got quite old now (34 years old). We don't see so many players still being able to score a lot of goals at this age in a season in big European leagues.

The matches at Stadio Olimpico between these teams have been quite challenging so far. Both sides got good results. Maybe Lazio are having a worse season than the previous one but Juventus are also on the decline recently. I will try my luck with double chance on Lazio @1.50 because of not thinking they will lose.
Maybe one of Lazio's mistakes was keeping Ciro Immobile and not trying other, much younger striker options. We know that Ciro Immobile is a striker who is quite deadly in the opponent's defense and there is no doubt about his finishing. But sometimes age doesn't lie and Ciro Immobile is starting to decline. Lazio this season also often failed to win and if they didn't have sharp attacking players they would also find it difficult to get goals.

Against Juventus shouldn't make Lazio afraid, especially since they will be the hosts. I have repeatedly criticized the performance of the La Vechia Signora squad after not producing a decent win in the last few matches. The double chance option is considered quite safe considering that the match between two strong teams could end in a draw or one of the teams could win. But the match is still quite long and the odds can still change, I will wait to start betting if the match is getting close.
