You should add a security feature.
For example, the faucet #1 has a 1000 DOGE max withdraw limit per hour.
Or User #1 can withdraw a maximum of 0.0005 BTC per hour.
It protects against bugs or hacks

We already have that on our TODO list.

You should add a palce to insert Google Analytics code.

You can just enter it into any ad box, it'll work fine.

I will say a little about faucets have to claim the corresponding button satoshis or have hidden, with other names in other languages, so that the user wants to put. Of which in some parts of the topic I read.
1. I personally have no problem to use this type of faucet since they are not hard to find the button. Delay you a little is not bad, if it were not so better than all managers give away the satoshis faucet directly, I think it would be more sensible.
2. Many of the faucets do not have enough to fill the catpcha button and press ENTER to claim your satoshis. My grandmother takes satoshis and do that, we are not moaners is not difficult so.

I agree as long as it's really not hard. But there were faucets with buttons disguised in such a way, that I couldn't find it without Developer Tools in my browser. Most users aren't really tech-savvy and they can't figure it out and they're asking us for help. Especially when there's one legit, camouflaged button and 3 fake-ad ones...

3. I think it's well deserved that taps owners earn advertising of any kind, or believe it costs to buy satoshis to make them available to users.

I agree. As long as it doesn't involve malware and spyware and isn't confusing for newcomers.

4. For the administrator, tell evaluate accounts faucets have no button, or hidden, to see the amount of deposit they make, have seen many taps are listed between 20 and 50, and however it means users if they take satoshis. So what's the problem? You have to analyze well the situation from both points of view, from the user, from the owner and even tap from faucetbox administrator. Or why not complain that when deposited faucetbox left satoshis to 3%, no one says anything because it is understandable that you need to pay expenses of servers, network costs, maintenance and hosting among other things. Or I will say that the admin does a patriot?

We all have an interest, and we must receive.

Of course everyone has an interest. Our business model works best if there are many faucet users. So if there's a faucet that's scammy or annoying or confusing and it can lead to users fleeing, we won't list it. But that's it. We just won't list it, the faucet will still work without any issues. And there are MANY faucets list and faucet rotators and ad networks owners can advertise at... it's not that a big deal, it's just we won't promote it with our brand.

5. Let us be aware in all aspects and from all points of view.

As a user I really feel obliged to comment. And please see users complaining many pages the button is another name, color, a little different but is, if they do not press Ctrl + U to see the code and find the button.

I invite you to reflect a little, be more lenient and move on.

I hope that my opinion does not bother some.

We are free to say, and this is my opinion.

Best regards.

Thanks for your opinion Smiley. We mostly get complaints about faucets and while we reject about 60% of them as groundless, your comment gives us a different perspective Smiley

We're thinking hard about changing the whole FaucetBOX.com Faucets list. It just doesn't work out very well. We do our best, but still we can't stop all malicious faucets from ending up on our list and sometimes we're to strict about rejecting good ones. But with about a hundred of submissions to review every day it's just can't be avoided. We're now thinking about a democracy based list, where users as a whole would be responsible for moderating it. But there's a lot of issues to be resolved, so it won't happen anytime soon, unfortunately.

What you really need to imprive is the payment history and remove (or faster) faucet aprovation after a simple description change.

What improvement in payment history would you like?

2. it takes to long for transaction to be sent after reaching the threshold

How long should it take in your opinion?

max 10 min.

That won't be possible without raising the payout threshold. The reason it takes so long now is because we can't just sent transaction to each user separately, because we would have to pay ~0.0001 BTC for each withdrawal. Users are able to reach the threshold about twice a day on average, multiply that by 200 000 users we have and we'd have to pay 40 BTC daily just for the network fees.

The network fees and the need to send payouts to many users in one transaction is the reason FaucetBOX.com was created in the first place Smiley. I'll see if I can make it better now that we have many users, but I think nothing less than an hour is possible for now.

ban hi api key  take funds keep it give it too poor people if u say he is a scammer u got ways to stop his api

I can't. That would be stealing. All I can do is trying to keep him out of the list.
Also banning the API key itself doesn't make sense. What stops him from saying the he pas to FaucetBOX.com even when he's banned? Just like he's now paying 1 satoshi and he says that he pays 1000. No difference and nothing I can do.

the only problem with faucetbox is very slow payouts.if you correct this problem you will win many users ı think

What do you mean by "very slow"?

1. it takes to long to reach the threshold
2. it takes to long for transaction to be sent after reaching the threshold
or
3. it takes to long for transaction to get confirmed?

yvesp110 - I'm sorry, but I must ask you to stop spamming so much in this thread. Nano-btc is a scammer, we all know that, I've banned his second account on FaucetBOX.com, end of the story. Really, you've written like 20 posts already about him, that's enough.

Kazaldur ,,, u said Nano had 3 strikes lol wow he cam with another faucet I damn well hope u nevet list it cause this one is natier then all others he did he has virus in there accessing ur pc root and all he knows what he is doing he is a thief and scammer

Well... he got lucky. I've banned his previous account from the list, so he created a new one and got approved by my coworker.
I removed my faucet from your list before I added PopUp, so no worry Smiley

Yup, seen that. Thanks.

IMPORTANT

Another faucet owner got hacked and lost his coins on FaucetBOX.com. It happened the same way as previous 2 hacks (many smaller withdrawals in short timespan coming from the faucet, not made through FaucetBOX.com Dashboard). The thing those three owners had in common was a faucet script made by Raphael M. I don't know whether it's just a coincidence, a bug in the script or a backdoor, but I ask everyone with Raphael's scripts to review their scripts' codes and make sure there's nothing suspicious there.

As always: keep your passwords private, keep them strong, make sure your hosting is safe and don't use any scripts from persons you don't trust (including Javascript, as it can be used to steal the session cookie).
650  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 31, 2015, 02:52:08 PM
How does the faucetbox script stop users from using a faucet more than once? Is it just IP address? I've created a website but would like to know the best way to stop users creating more than one account.

IP address + bitcoin address (but that one is easy to change). There are no other ways that I can think of...
651  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 31, 2015, 12:13:20 PM
What if you were to take a deposit that is held aside from each faucet that registers with you. And have a three strike rule and the deposit is taken. If they have something to lose then maybe they would think twice about changing things. This way you would get less scammy faucets with bad intentions wanting to sign up with you in the first place... I don't see why an owner would have a problem with this if they were legit. If they stopped their faucet at anytime, you could return the deposit thereafter...

While I think that would improve things, I'm not so sure about good owners not having problem with that. I know that I wouldn't agree with that, because what if I would get marked as scammy by mistake? Mistakes happen Smiley. What's more, it's hard to justify legally. If think we would need a lawyer for that...

It's just a really hard issue with no easy fix. But we're making small incremental changes that makes things better - 6 months ago it was much worse than now Smiley.
652  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 31, 2015, 11:31:02 AM
That part about certain faucets changing things once they are approved... Do you ban them indefinitely?

That depends. If we believe that the owner tries to trick us or if he repeatedly does the same thing, we ban him. However if we're not sure that owner's intentions are bad, we do give him a chance or two. Quite often we see that taking faucet down from the list is enough and the owner starts playing nicely.

Where do i directly report things to?

There's a report button next to every faucet on your list: https://faucetbox.com/list (the exclamation mark). You can also send an email directly to support@faucetbox.com. Just make sure you include the name and URL of faucet.
653  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 31, 2015, 10:40:29 AM
1) Hiding claim buttons/ having fake claim buttons or disguising them to trick users into clicking on adds.

I don't get it too. We're actively taking such faucets down from our list.

2) Using unfavourable time consuming captcha for the user.

SolveMedia often takes a while to complete, but it's one of the revenue sources for faucet owners. I haven't had the problems you described with Are you a human. Actually I find Are you a Human to be the easiest and fastest one to complete. Personally I hate reCaptcha, I never get it the first time I try.
So there's no "the best captcha". Each user prefers other system, no way to make it work for everyone.

3) Faucets that do not indicate they are insufficient in funds.

I agree. However faucets are taken down from our list automatically on the first "Insufficient funds." error, nothing else we can do really.

Really annoying especially when you've had about 3 incorrect captcha's thrown back at you before hand when you have indeed entered it correctly.

There were reports of scammy faucets that always showed incorrect captcha error 3 times. No matter whether you've solved it good or not. If you find a faucet like that on our list, please report it to us and we'll take it down.

When is it going to be understood that the more time you waste of the faucet users the more likely that less adds will be clicked and they probably won't support your faucet anymore in the process. Greed will get you nowhere in the long term, it just gives faucets a bad rep.

I agree Smiley. That's why we don't put every faucet on our list, but we review it manually. The problem we have are faucet owners that first submit a clean faucet only to change it to something terrible once they got approved. With hundreds of faucets we can't effectively monitor that unfortunately.

My recommendation to faucetbox owner... demonstrate a high standard and don't let any of these 'greedy and scammy faucets' on your payment system in the first place. Faucetbox will then be known for its integrity and users will trust that any faucet you have on your books are legitimate. Faucets that use any kind of misleading and underhand tactics to trick the user should be banned.

That won't work. What will stop a scammy faucet for claiming that it's using our payment system even when it doesn't? I've actually seen such "faucets" already. When you use it everything looks alright and it even displays the message that coins were sent to your FaucetBOX.com account. But when you check your address, there's nothing there. And we have no trace of the faucet in our system.
What we can do and we try to do is keeping a list of clean faucets. But, as mentioned above, it's hard, as faucet owners tend to change their sites over time and we don't have an effective way to monitor that. We'd need to hire someone on full-time to do just that.

Thanks for your message Smiley
654  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 30, 2015, 10:16:39 PM
Sooner or later we'll redo the faucets list from scratch, to include not only faucets but also other services and to allow users to vote on them. However that won't come soon and we don't really want to change anything before that rewrite.
655  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 30, 2015, 04:43:10 PM
Why can't I remove faucet from the list?

Same!
Have made a different faucet and I want to remove my old one, but dont know how >.<

You could send an email, or...

"Manage My Account", click "Promo", and then put in wrong info and in the comments that you want to be de-listed. It immediately removes you from the list and you won't be listed til he checks it, and if you have wrong info (different payouts listed than on your site), he won't list you.

Just remove the URL from the "Promo" form and click "Update data". It'll be removed from the list and we won't review it again.
656  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 27, 2015, 02:40:39 PM
That's a GET request. You have to do POST requests.

But it works for fetching the balance.(Thats what i was being confused with)
(Can you post here an example of sending payouts through post?)

It only works as a compatibility for Microfaucet (and what's more, it only works for Bitcoin). It's not documented and shouldn't be used.

Code:
 <?php
 $params
= array(

"api_key" => "api_key",

"currency" => "BTC",

"amount" => 1,

"to" => "dest address"

);

$opts = array(

"http" => array(

"method" => "POST",

"header" => "Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n",

"content" => http_build_query($params)
     )
 );

$ctx stream_context_create($opts);

$fp fopen("https://faucetbox.com/api/v1/send"'rb'null$ctx);

$response stream_get_contents($fp);

fclose($fp);

var_dump($response);
657  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 27, 2015, 02:12:55 PM
You seem to have given me every request but the one that you're having trouble getting, unless it's sending the BTC which is giving you trouble.
If that is not the case, when trying to get the last payouts what request do you send?

https://faucetbox.com/api/v1/send?api_key=APIKEY&amount=1000&to=BITCOINADDRESS&currency=BTC&referral=false

If i go to the above url(after adding api key and bitcoin address), the page shows -
{"status":414,"message":"Missing or invalid parameters."}

That's a GET request. You have to do POST requests.

Is there a reason why it takes so long to get approved? I've been waiting for 4 days now for my faucet to get approved, and I've been watching the faucets list for BTC, hasn't changed at all.

Thanks.

I know it says "up to a week" but from what I can tell, it's deliberately making me wait a week.
Because there's one or two people checking through hundreds of faucets to make sure they all work correctly and fit the ToS. That does take time.

There's one person and he's been busy with other things lately. I believe he'll review pending faucets tomorrow.
658  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 25, 2015, 08:20:07 PM
[...] I like Faucetbox but if they are gonna authorize scammers like him I rather not be part of it.  [...]

We allow anyone to use our API. After all if someone's a scammer and stop paying, it doesn't matter whether we revoke his access or not. He can still claim he's using FaucetBOX.com, we can't change his site.

But we try to keep our Faucets list free of such people and faucets. And as you can see you won't find nano-btc there (we gave him 3 chances, he wasted them all).
659  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 19, 2015, 02:30:55 PM
Important: looks like some custom faucet scripts don't handle P2SH addresses properly. FaucetBOX.com supports Bitcoin and Dogecoin P2SH addresses, so we'll wait about a week or two and make a policy to only list faucets that supports them correctly. Example Bitcoin P2SH address: https://blockchain.info/address/3NukJ6fYZJ5Kk8bPjycAnruZkE5Q7UW7i8

I have a question, I was recently removed from the faucetbox rotator because my faucet is "broken." However, I have double checked, and all the satoshi claims, timer, etc., are still working. The only thing that seemed to be weird is it didn't show the faucet balance for a few minutes, but when I refreshed the page the balance showed up again. Any reason why this might have happened? My faucet is working fine, it is 100% functional.

I also resubmitted my faucet to be added to the rotator, hope it gets approved soon.

It probably wasn't functional for some time, for example your hosting could be down for a few minutes or something.
