642  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT network visualization chart on: September 22, 2023, 06:56:57 AM
I hope you like it.
I do. To be honest for last half an hour I was playing with the visualizer to see different accounts. It was interesting. It took me a long time to find my bubble though.

643  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are blockchain explorer threat to the privacy ? on: September 22, 2023, 05:26:50 AM
If it is a public area you could be filmed and people would know that the address belongs to you.
As long as there are no chance to know the public key by others, there are no risk involved.

[...snip....]
I think your friend is concerned about the IP log that may the explorer log when you are entering any address or transaction to check details. But as long as it does not have a lot of btc stored in any address, I don't think anything will trigger the admin of these explorers to check a specific address and the locations it was searched. Even if they get the location, there are no concrete evidence for them to hunt you down.

Here's my latest winning ticket courtesy last night's footie:

Lucky you. Winning a 13.95 odd is amazing.

I once had such luck for an 8 folds but that was decade ago. My stake was £20 as far as I can remember and it was in a betting shop. That time online gambling platforms were not as much available as it is now. Congratulation.
645  Economy / Reputation / Re: Obsessive Conduct by "BenCodie" Over A Neutral Tag on: September 22, 2023, 04:32:19 AM
completely meaningless and unnecessary
I think this is what causing all confusions and constant drama in the reputation board. Sometimes a user ABC is creating a topic and sometimes JollyGood is creating topics such as this one.

Long ago when I was investigating the case of starmyc [he personally wrote me and complaining], I went through many feedback he left and my conclusions were

[1.] Most of the neutral feedback he lefts are kind of personal notes but when he writes the notes he is basically publicly insulting and devaluing the person. Problem become bigger when a person is on the forum from long ago and JollyGood was not even existed or a person is somehow established a good name for him on the forum from years of activity. To be honest, no one likes these types of feedback on their feedback page. If something you need to remember about the user then maintain a private note.
[2.] Most of the negative feedback are backed with very less facts than speculation and his personal thoughts. Even most of these negative feedback he left are more appropriate with neutral feedback but better to have private note.

The feedback on BenCodie's feedback page is a prime example of an unnecessary feedback that led him to create the topic and he was trying to justify his feedback. The worse is, he is not even making any statement even after a lot of people left their opinions because none of the opinion seems gone in his favour.

Problem with JollyGood is, that he thinks he can write anything to anyone's feedback page and no one should speak against it. If anyone does, he will just ignore to response and if that does not work then he will start insulting the person and keep telling others that they are in his ignore list.

I think things will change drastically in next half of century, I am not sure internet as we know it and bitcointalk will even exist. Tongue
I'm sure the new forum software will still be expected any time soon in half a century Cheesy
In the fine line between live and death, I think we will meet theymos in the other side and ask what was it all about LOL

trust system is bullshit anyways.. when a bunch of ass kissers back up fellow liars, the system becomes pointless
Trust system was not created for ass kissers to back up fellow liars or such things, it was created to give support or oppose to the feedback left by forum members depending on the correctness of the feedback. The feedback system was created to appreciate trades that conducts on the forum so that other can take some idea about a member before they make a potential trade.

But unfortunately people don't use both systems for the reason it was created. The system is not bullshit but the people who use it for their own benefits.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 19, 2023, 03:25:37 AM
Nah, I messed it up. Our bet is Chelsea in the top 4 - but you ain't getting that one correct either Grin
Like I said even in the top10 seems very hard for the Chelsea team if not impossible. You are winning.

No one is to take the side anymore?
Maybe a better and competitive market can be if Chelsea will be in top 10 of the point table? "No" at what odd? Make me an offer LOL

Thanks man.

Yes i win this round, i was not so confident to win , because i put a "risky" prediction in the last game, but ended up b eing the correct one.

About the BTC price, yes the halving next year i hope to bring some good news to all of us.

And yes, its my alt this one.
Congratulation. My only wish is I will rank up high on the pool table LOL
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: September 19, 2023, 03:09:19 AM
have to admit that Girona form is up since they beat Real at home 4:2 last season, and I don't want to use that, constantly thinking they will melt, but they are staying up, and will probably melt when I start to pick them

Valencia is up since Baraja took over, more than happy about that, and also have win over Real at home last season, at the end

seems that win over Real at home is a game changer for La Liga teams Smiley
Point noted for Girona LOL.
My knowledge about these leagues are nearly shit. Have no idea of the teams, how they play. I only depend on the result I see online and make my guess from it. Maybe that's the reason of the bad position on the point table for me.

Anyone have more to say about some other teams or any insights that can help people like me? We can always use tips and helps from people who know the league better than others.
650  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: September 19, 2023, 02:56:43 AM
It's really unfair and frustrating. It can lead to players being unable to withdraw their winnings even if they have won fairly.
To be honest many gambling websites have such easy registration system. No business whats to give their potential customers some hard time and risk to lose the customer.

Even with some of the fiat casinos [as far as I can remember] you will not be asked for anything before even depositing. When you will try to withdraw winning then they will ask for a full KYC.

As some others already suggested, read terms and conditions. There are nothing to feel unfair. You will feel frustrated if you fail to understand the contract between a casino and you.
651  Economy / Services / Re: Telegram Stickers - Giffs Service on: September 17, 2023, 09:27:37 PM
Moderators should check it, and they will see it don't worry, thanks.
I am not worried and you are not the first time too. What do you think I can miss since 2015?

FYI, moderators are not going to do anything, unless anyone reports it.

Anyway, i don't want to be the bad guy here. I am trying to say what works and what does not in the forum. If your works are good then have proper marketing plan and execute it instead of spamming the forum with those paid shills. You will do better.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 09:18:53 PM
Just look at my card

Zero exact point out for 49 matches. Unbelievable.

LaLiga is not working for me. Experts tips and tricks will be appreciated LOL
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 17, 2023, 09:10:21 PM
but I’m very upset that Newcastle, United and Chelsea are too deep and there’s no point in expecting an interesting fight for the top 4 yet.
Newcastle upsets me the most [Utd does not make me upset because I accepted that they are unpredictable]. I had high hope for Castle considering their games in last season. Having promoted to the CL, I was expecting more from them but from 5 matches their earning is only 6 points. I am not disappointed that they lost against City and Liverpool [In-fact I was convinced that they will win Liverpool though] but against Brighton and Brentford [although they won] they did not look a better team. Champions league needed a better team from England, certainly Castle is going to make it boring.

Quote
But I don’t think that anyone will accept such a bet at odds of less than 1 to 100.
We never know LOL
Just look at their performance so far. A draw today against Bournemouth! Lost against Forest, the only team they survived was against Luton and we all can understand it. But the way the team is going, in the Luton home match they will surely lose point.

Maybe a better and competitive market can be if Chelsea will be in top 10 of the point table? "No" at what odd? Make me an offer LOL

You've already won that side bet; this Chelsea team will not finish ahead of this Liverpool team. Spent £1 billion to look like Swamsea. I'm exhausted, man. When will you need your 1mBTC?
I understand your frustration darling. Let's settle it after end of the season with other side bets. But don't lose you hope, it's still long 33 rounds to go.
654  Other / Meta / Re: Without merit... on: September 17, 2023, 08:49:08 PM
without merit how can YOU rate a post as a quality post or how can you appreciate a quality post?
Merit was introduced in 2018, it's been only five years. The forum is around 14 years old and we survived 9 years without any merit point. Haven't we had a lot of quality posters back then? We had. But at that time we had many spammers too who were easily increasing their activities and achieving rank.

When you will actively participate in discussions, you will be visible to others. When you give positive contribution, people will know you and appreciate your work. You don't need some points for appreciation or a post to make to say I appreciate it.

The reason for introducing merit was to filter spammers quickly from people who are at-least giving some efforts in their writing. I am not going to say it worked very well, there are farmers who are always trying to abuse merit to rank up. However with abusing merit you can not continue much far. There maybe some exceptions but the people who made to at-least Sr and above, a lot of them contributed well to achieve it. Without merit these members would still rank up because of their contributions.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 08:33:50 PM
Damn that late goal by Getafe. I had 2-2 (only three of us had that score) and was gonna get 3 points for the exact score but then Maksimović scored a goal in the 86th minute and there goes my points for that game. I'm so bad in predicting scores...
You are not alone. I think we all have our regrets. It's been five rounds and I still am looking for an exact score. Imagine in 50 matches you never got an exact score, you will feel bad. That's me LOL. I am in two other pools. Serie A and Premier League. Not doing well in Premier League too but at least have a few exact scores in both PL and SA.

It's too early to think of anything though so don't lose your hopes.
656  Economy / Services / Re: Telegram Stickers - Giffs Service on: September 17, 2023, 02:03:51 PM
Those comments from real peeople, if you dont want to belive it, you can see it as you want Cheesy
Don't get the idea that I did not see it. Of course they are real people but difference is their posts are not organic. One of the following that happened.

[1.] You hired someone from cheap Fiverr platform and they promised you to bump your thread.
[2.] You bought these accounts from a or many account sellers and posting from the accounts
[3.] You farmed the account yourself to use it for vouching for any service you had in plan.

AliArbi, oflibaba, Koinnokami are some of the accounts.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 01:51:51 PM
Poor Betis man... completly destroyed by Barcelona, i didnt expect that bad performance from Real Betis, i al so place a 3-0 pick in favour of Barcelona in Superbru and thinked it was a little bit much. But seems like i was wrong on that.
I had a 0 - 3 too and when a team score 5 goals then everything goes wrong. In the pool nothing has changed. Everyone got 1 point each.

The mayor surprise for me was Valencia win against Atletico, i think our friend Casper its very excited no?
My understanding about Atletico was they were favorite.

I am disappointed with my performance so far LOL. In fact in La Liga I feel like I am totally stranger, looking at the position in the point table.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 17, 2023, 01:46:13 PM
Anyone is watching Bouremouth vs Chelsea? Still goalless although it not even half time. Where is flumpnuggets? Do you still think Chelsea is going to finish ahead of Liverpool? Maybe now there is another side bet we can think about which is will Chelsea be relegated? LOL
659  Other / Meta / Re: Trust inclusion or exclusion for inactive members. on: September 17, 2023, 01:29:49 PM
[...snip....]
Here is where I was coming from. For example Bruno, many people distrusted his judgement but the person is no longer alive. Zepher is distrusted by many too. Same applies for him too. None of them will be leaving any more feedback to anyone anymore so there are nothing left to trust or distrust their judgement. They are above of all judgement.

I remember the worries when Lauda was first removed from DT: thousands of tagged users were suddenly "set free". And that's the problem with removing old inactive users: old inactive scammers can activate again.
In other words the feedback system looks isolated, depending on Lauda. it's not a good outcome.
660  Other / Meta / Trust inclusion or exclusion for inactive members. on: September 17, 2023, 01:53:58 AM
I've noticed a certain group have been DT distrusting users long after they are gone (or presumed to be gone) IIRC there was some question about some activity that Blaze was involved in... (but don't quote me on that as it looks to have occurred a very long time ago)

This topic is inspired from the discussion happening on the other thread.. My understanding in general is when a user is not active for long time, not participating in the default trust system; we can consider not to vote for them [avoid both inclusion and exclusion]. Some possible plots can be as follows to understand the matter a little clear. I also think from a good discussion we may have even better understanding for the current feedback and default trust system.

Satoshi came first in mind. The current default trust system is totally irrelevant for the account. [1.] The are no feedback given by him to anyone, [2.] He does not have anyone to perform a DT voting. The account is a great history but is not useful in DT system due to the inactivity.

TMAN: [1.] Left many feedback [2.] Performed DT voting [3.] But not active anymore. It has been over three years now. Three years ago the forum environment and current environment is totally different. It changed a lot. A feedback left by him three years ago can be very inappropriate today. A good example is the feedback left for Best_Change.

Bruno: [1.] Left many feedback [2.] Performed no DT voting [was he died before the new default trust system?] [3.] Not alive [RIP brother], of course inactive. Someone wanted to use his account and wanted to scam users but failed. Whatever the case is, I don't think having the account in Trust inclusion or even in Exclusion leaves any weight in the current system. Very similar for Zepher [RIP] too. He can not edit a feedback, give a feedback or remove a feedback. These accounts can not use the system at all.

There are other users who are [1.] Active but not performing in DT voting however since they are active and somehow or greatly involved in trades or forum events having them in inclusion or exclusion is relevant.

From the above scenarios understandably we can conclude that when a user is not active for long time, any feedback it left or received carry no weights or very less weights. After many years, the time has changed, a lot of things of the forum has changed; an old-inactive account is outdated to be in the trust or distrust setting.

In my opinion this small detail will improve a lot of weight of the forum feedback system. The feedback and default trust system will look more appropriate than before.
