641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 04:35:05 PM
The strategy of funding accounts on multiple bookmakers is known to be used by people that want to catch the best odds when betting on sports for example. Sometimes people will monitor multiple platforms and bet when the odds allow then for a safe win. However, I am not sure if this strategy would be worth attempting when doing crypto-based betting on the sports books that offer it.

Having the best odds doesn’t guarantee you a safe win in contrary to what you said.

Well, it can in theory. But it doesn't happen very often. For example if you bet on a Basketball match early and get odds of 2.5 for team A to win, and then go on another bookie and find that team B's win has odds of 2.1, then in the worst case scenario you earn 10% if you made equal bets to each team. This is called betting arbitrage and is not easy to execute, it's an advanced strategy.

I understand what you are trying to imply here but this method will fall under arbitrage betting since you are using different sportsbook platform to take advantage on odds difference. Casinos has connections through the bookmaker record.

This is the number one reason why many user account got freeze due to arbitrage bets using multiple sportsbook. Any sure way of winning has an implication due to the casino ToS which gives them power to freeze your account if they observe that you are taking advantage.

yes good idea and feedback IMO

IMO it would be very helpful if there are participants who have 0 chips just to take them off the table. this would be very helpful for players still in the action

BTW nice now I can see my bankroll all the time I play

cheers

Can you explain how can this helpful? Because those players with 0 chips doesn’t affect  your game unless the game have a deal now feature while you can’t click it just because AFK players that waiting for decision.

I still didn’t play the free roll tournament but the last time I play it, There’s no max bet available which is bummer whenever I’m doing a rush bet when tournament is about to end.

Having the best odds doesn’t guarantee you a safe win in contrary to what you said. Most of the user use multiple platform for betting is due to the bonuses given by the certain sportsbook. Different sportsbook usually give unique promotion on different date so having account in different platform will give you an option to participate on promotion of different casino.

This gives additional profit when you win but I don’t consider it as safe bet since it’s same risk.

What are your thoughts on this? When you bet with crypto do you find it easier or harder to fund multiple accounts?

No, Because I’m only using one account at a time which means I only deposit to the casino which I will use.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: November 02, 2023, 09:53:32 AM
When someone is winning in a lottery, It takes time before they claim their prizes especially if the winning amount is the jackpot prize since there's a lot of process to be done before they give the money. The lottery rewards may expire or they only give a duration how long does it takes for the winner to claim or to submit a documents for their prizes. You're right that the lottery ticket has their expiration date at the back of the tickets so better to always check. here in our country, the process of claiming the winning prize, the winner should present valid ID and the winning ticket and also needs to fill out the required forms and the tickets need to be  validated. It takes time for the verification due to some legal process but once verified, Treasury dept will issue a check to the winner's name.

Actually the requirements on claiming reward is very easy. Just provide valid ID and the winning ticket to claim it since they will just issue a check for your prize in your name so that you can withdraw it to a bank. The process is not that complicated if you hold the legit winning ticket.

It’s true that winners have a lot of time to claim it. In my country, winners has a up to one year of time to claim the reward I believe this is due to privacy purposes since winners usually want to cool off the news before they claim for their safety.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 01, 2023, 05:06:52 PM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.

You should assess yourself first on how you can handle risk since not all people can gamble without affecting their daily life. If you are already worried that your real life might be affected even before gambling means you are an overthinker and scared.

You can use the demo mode of the casino first to try the games then start to deposit the minimum amount until you get comfortable. The secret on a good gambling experience is to play only what you can afford to lose. Don’t use over budget and just have fun.

I recommend slot games from Pragmatic and Play’nGo since they are not high volatile while you can use very low amount for each bet instead of usging live games which typically allow 1$ min bet on card games.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2023, 02:59:33 PM

I think Victor needs a little more time to adapt. By the way, he averages 16.3 points per game and grabs an average of 7.5 rebounds. I think that's pretty good stats for a rookie. The only thing I would point out is that he shoots a lot of three-pointers with a relatively poor field goal percentage(26.3%). It looks like his desire to shoot the ball overrides his desire to fight for the ball in the paint. It's understandable because the likelihood of him getting injured is pretty high if he struggles in the paint.

That's good stats for a rookie already and we can say that there's a lot of improvements will came unto this guy since he's just adopting to the game which is totally new to him. For sure when Wemby gets a lot of experience then got familiar about the league also got a proper team chemistry on the team where he is now for sure he became more competitive player. Many worries about possible injury but its already given and for sure that he also take care his body and be careful about those unfortunate incident that might happen to him since he really know that his career might get ruin if he get a serious injury at early of his career. Future is really good for this young kid and he should continue to strive to maximize his potential and possible can give Spurs another championship on their franchise.

I agree on the stats satisfaction but he should address the concerns on a lot of turnovers. I’m not sure if he is aware but he has a lot of exposure if being stolen a ball when he dribble since he is too tall so he should just pass the ball immediately to the PH whenever has it then get a better position to receive the ball. He is really contributing good on points and defense but he has a lot of turnovers too which he should address to become efficient player.

I’m excited to watch him against big man like Jokic and Giannis. I’m wondering if he can still demonstrate good offense in the paint or he will just stay outside when this big man drive.
647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "change password frequently" on: November 01, 2023, 02:28:25 PM

Do you change your passwords often? If no, have you been hacked?

What's your opinion on this security measure?

I’m not changing my password frequently due my laziness but I don’t find it as useless habit since it can help you to maintain your account security in case you didn’t know that you login your device on unsecured device or being phish unknowingly since many high wrong user here got their account rank without being notice even though they are still active here.

If you are not clicking any random link or login using unsecured device then I guess your account will be safe without changing password frequently. But who knows if when will unknowingly commit mistake since we are all human after all.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 01, 2023, 02:23:10 PM
I think OP is chasing the jackpot that is why he lost that huge amount of money. $200k is huge and if I were on OP's position, instead of betting on gambling I will use it to invest on Bitcoin, silver and gold coins or even real estate. Only a millionaire can afford to lose that amount so maybe OP is one of 'em.

You can chase jackpot with just lower bankroll. This kind of loss will not gonna happened by chasing jackpot but rather with high wager bets that turns into loss. Probably he made a couple of bets that is too huge and lose them all.

I’m not sure what kind of jackpot you are pertaining but the jackpot which common being referred are those high multiplier hit and not just winning big by betting big since that is just high stake bet high reward.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 01, 2023, 09:59:15 AM
Did not see this one coming but sure.
It can improve your mood till you keep winning, thats for sure. That can change real quick tho
Im not so sure about relieveing stress. That migth be true for a few, but im pretty sure its not the case for the majority of players.
It can help with self control and managing risk, sure, that is certainly a possibility.

Totally agree on gambling is not good for stress relieving because you will be dealing a lot of risk every and I’m not sure if anyone can relieve stress while under pressure due to risk. I once try this when I’m bored and stress while the result is pretty disappointing.

Gambling makes people not contented even if they are already in profit. They will keep playing without stopping unless they lose all their money. Gambling is good to kill some time but it never works well on stress because it give more stress when lose. I’d rather go out strolling instead of gambling when I stress so that my money will be well spent instead of wasting hours just to end up with disappointment and guilt.  Cheesy
650  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: November 01, 2023, 09:40:56 AM
Yeah I read it yesterday. It's like for you able to participate and claim a $SHFL Token Airdrop you need to be loyal and bet more on Shuffle.com . Hopefully they also run an airdrop or bounty campaign exclusively here in BitcoinTalk like signature campaign that will be paying $SHFL Tokens.

I really like the idea of bounty campaigns paid in $SHFL tokens to have a share with token pool without wagering much since high roller in the casino will surely dominate the token allocation. I will be happy to be paid in 50/50 tokens & Bitcoin in our signature campaign.

Maybe our signature code needs a little bit of update to promote this retroactive airdrop so that many players will be interested to play in the casino.
651  Economy / Gambling / Re: Evolution — report for Q3 (HOW THEY EARN THAT MUCH?) on: October 31, 2023, 12:04:17 PM
The Evolution games are available in almost every online casino in this world and I can say covid19 bring their company into the next level since a few yeara ago.
Crazy Time and Blackjack live games must be their main "money maker machine".
Thousand of people in this world playing it everyday.

Many people saying it rigged but i dont think the big operator such as Evo will do that. Overall they will always in profits every week.

Yeah, They don’t need to resort on rigging the game while they have the complete advantage on all of their games through house edge. They only need to have a consistent player wagering on the casino to be on the profit side while let the players enjoy the temporary winning since later on they will lose due to the game edge.

Dream catcher and Crazy time are the first live game show I knew on this provider until they developed tons of game variations not only on game shows but literally on every game type especially the lightning variant.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 31, 2023, 11:54:13 AM
If you don't hope to become great using gambling you won't be chasing losses, this mentality of winning back what you've lost starts the moment you start planning to make big amount of money from gambling, that's when you will start risking higher amount and you are only ready to take the risks but you can't digest the losses if it happens, you are not preventing the losses from happening and it will surely happens because it's gambling.

I feel like people who turned into gambling don't know what gambling is all about, but because they see people winning they also want to be like them, the truth is those who won are only going to show them the result when they win but not the opposite of gambling when they lost money.

In theory or words, I totally agree to you because I knew exactly how to play properly I’m not gambling but everything is different if you are experiencing it on actual.

You have some attachment to your money and it’s really tingling when you loss part of it while you still have available money to play more just to have a comeback. It’s very easy to say not to chase loss if you are not on that situation specifically not your money involved but this kind of chasing loss problem will not gonna be majority of gamblers problem if it’s really easy to control.  Grin
653  Economy / Gambling / Re: Empire.io | Free Payouts, VPN-Friendly, No Upfront KYC & 1 BTC bonus! on: October 31, 2023, 08:25:02 AM
Hi, I will need some explanation about your KYC requirement, what do you mean by no upfront KYC? Or no KYC you meant? I think this mean that KYC can still be asked if needed? I am seeing new online casinos using the same statement, but why can't it be no -kyc? Because this can easily confuse people thinking that there will never be any need for KYC requirement.

No upfront KYC means there’s no KYC during the initial registration process because most of the new casino won’t allow you to deposit without undergoin KYC. Empire is a license casino which means they have an obligation to ask KYC if your account is showing some sign of potential violation about the ToS.

It’s not really confusing if you knew the standards of casino in regards of KYC. There’s no such centralized casino with license will offer a total no KYC feature to its player due to AML policy.
654  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't Fiat the Real Ponzi on: October 31, 2023, 07:42:14 AM
I've seen many blog posts describing bitcoin as a ponzi scheme, but looking at the current inflation of fiat it now looks like a Ponzi. Don't know who is the beneficiary in this kind of fiat Ponzi. The earlier generation had enough to buy with few amounts that can't buy anything reasonable today. I also saw Elon in a tweet saying or calling fiat a Ponzi scheme. People suffer to get fiat and lose it on high food prices and products. In a Ponzi, everyone end up losing money, same with fiat. A good number of people around me complain of not being able to purchase product with a fair sum of money they feel is big.

Fiat doesn’t promise any fixed potential return to its holder but rather a constant decrease of buying power due to inflation. Fiat is worst than ponzi since they have negative valuation in the long term while printing unlimited worthless of paper money put of thin air.

I believe you use the wrong description since Ponzi is way different than fiat even though it has a really negative feature. Ponzi is an investment scheme while fiat is just a plain currency.

we might have a quick 3-0 from Spirit
I am also thinking that they're about to get this straight 3-0

So did any of you ended up taking this as bet ? because I did  Smiley

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/10/30/TbfV9.png

Well overall I lost alot on football prior to this and I took LDG to win against GG as well so this pretty much helps me get back what I've lost with decent amount of profit as well. I thought GG would win the 3rd map after dominating Team Spirit since the early game but somehow they made it back and won straight 3-0.
Congratulations on your wins. I also thought that GG will prolong the series but it seems they just can't and maybe they're now feeling what other teams have felt against them before during the majors on how to beat them. It feels so good to see them get beaten honestly because they're dominating the entire year and major after major. I'm not a hater of it but when someone is just too good and unbeatable, you just want to see them get beaten and the ones beaten them is Team Spirit which is a strong team and had their own record now.

GG almost done the impossible which is winning the TI after an early place on the lower bracket. Team Spirit is just too OP while GG is already exhausted and play almost all their card in their sleeves since they have tons of match while TS is just waiting for them to finish.

It’s still a good run for GG to become a grand finalist after an almost early elimination. It’s just TS is much better team and AFAIK GG never won against TS since they spike up their game on last few tournaments before TI.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2023, 03:57:32 PM
I can’t get over how bad Austin Reeves played yesterday. He went from leading the Olympic team (to a loss) to becoming a sub par NBA player in a matter of weeks…

He is just having a bad game. DLo is stepping which means he kinda outshine on playing unlike before during playoffs when DLo is struggling which he step up. Probably the pressure of having a lot of expectations is now making less productive compared last year.

You can’t blame him since he play like the main guy on olympics while he is just competing with DLo now to have a spot on the floor. AR is a great guy, He still has a lot of time to catch up again.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 11:29:59 AM
Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.

Age doesn’t matter as long as user still enjoy playing the games and have enough money to carry on without affecting his daily needs. Gambling is design as source of entertainment which old people needs a lot since most of them is already alone on their house due to their children has their own family.

Old people has nothing to do anymore to enjoy that’s why many old people gamble despite of their age. It’s not about the money but rather how they can be entertained by playing games instead of staying home alone. So no age limit for me as long as they can still enjoy playing.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 11:26:28 AM
If you are lonely, can you have interest in gambling simply because of your loneliness?

I believe this is only applicable to person that knew already how to gamble. People is very easy to gamble once they are lonely since gambling is the most convenient way to get entertainment to fight loneliness.

How would you judge someone who says they don't gamble because it's fun, is that a sign of a gambling addiction?

If you are making $600 a day, that's $20000 in a month, and because you are only you start having interest to gamble, what do you think this is?

Not an addiction but rather different psychology problem since he is using gambling in different way. This can be classified as an addiction if he is playing frequently without any control to his losses.

But base on the financial computation you provided. He is clearly have an addiction problem since he is spending more on gambling using his total salary.

It is a fraudulent scam site and has not been able to withdraw money for 3 days. I did not launder money and am a normal game user. I submitted this deposit information and also completed KYC authentication. But they don't even allow withdrawals.
The site claims that it is a game without KYC, but this is not true and they are trying to give you money. Everyone, this site’s withdrawals are very strict, so don’t play the game!

The customer service center is full of people and doesn't respond all day long. No answer even though it’s Monday!

Move this topic on scam accusation board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 and provide evidence about your case in the form of screenshots. 660  Economy / Gambling / Re: Empire.io | Free Payouts, VPN-Friendly, No Upfront KYC & 1 BTC bonus! on: October 29, 2023, 03:43:46 PM
The only reason why I didn’t participate on this event and other promotions is because it involves slot games as requirements to get the free spin which is very hard to complete without losing huge part if my bankroll. I hope empire will launch a promotion that involves other games and not only using slot games.   Smiley

The requirement is basically not that hard to complete in order to get the free spins, because players only need to wager 100USDT in slot games.
Of course for those who do not like to play slot will see it as something not worth to play, so I have to agree with your suggestion that they may include other games as well.

I rarely play slot and I’m glad that you get my point. I have a terrible experience on it the past which I didn’t get anything out of my 200USDT bankroll with 0.2$ bet amount. Hacksaw gaming is one of the most brutal casino games if you are not lucky since it rarely pay even on small to medium payout. Most of their slot games is too volatile so I’m pretty sure that wagering 100USDT will most probably incur more loses to me than earning from the free spin reward that still subject to wagering requirements.

@empire.io, does the profit on the free spin must be wager on slot alone or other games is already counted?

Hacksaw is a bad choice if the main purpose is to wager, pragmatic is a better choice if you ask me.
Providers such as hacksaw, relax, nolimitcity and some others are good choice if your main purpose is to hunt big multiplier with high risk as well for sure.
Based on my experience, $50 is more than enough in order to wager $100 with pragmatic games.
Dont forget that there is also a chance for you to win big while playing slot games even if you start with $50 only.
I'm not trying to assure you to take the promotion though, just saying something based on my won experience which is related to this case.

Yeah, Pragmatic and Play’n Go often gives a frequent small compared to hacksaw. Wagering the bonus profit is least of my concern since hacksaw game is the featured game needs to wager 100USDT to get free spin.

I definitely skip this promotion and wait for next week hoping for a pleb gambler friendly like me that doesn’t play much slot games.
