641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the bitcoin price range as we enter the New Year on: October 03, 2020, 11:03:20 AM
I think it will still be in the middle of $10K and $12K.

I am hoping that it would be the same in the past that whenever the end of the year is closing, the price of Bitcoin is reaching new ATH but it is different now. Since the price is still at $10K and we are still sliding down, I think we will be staying at that price mark for some time. If we break the resistance of $12K in the next weeks though, then I think it would be at $12K or even higher.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mediocre/People. on: October 03, 2020, 10:09:34 AM
That is so good of you to think like that.

Most of the people I know would not care and ask me why should we make them comfortable using Bitcoin since we did like using it despite it being "uncomfortable". I am also one of those since they are the ones who taught me about it and I end up finding my own sources of information about it, usually, it is this forum. If they really liked using it, they will find a way. Don't point where they should go, let them explore it.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: October 03, 2020, 08:47:17 AM
No, what is hard to explain is blockchain. People cannot understand bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency if they weren't understand blockchain. So if you explain blockchain first and don't mention about bitcoin it would be more understandable.

I don't think we even need to discuss blockchain to them.

There are a lot of people that wanted to invest in cryptocurrencies, more likely Bitcoin since they've seen a lot of people earning from it. If that is the case, what they will be studying is the market, the movements happening and other things to understand how they could take advantage of the movements happening. If you want to understand the technology about it, that is a different discussion.
644  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet shutdowns by governments are bad for corporate marketing on: October 03, 2020, 08:23:38 AM
I think it's just a problem and carriers are working on it. No country has ever turned down the opportunity to be marketed and thrived in cyberspace. The Internet is a real opportunity and they will take advantage of it, not prevent businesses from accessing it.

We are also having some problems with our ISPs.

But I don't think it is a problem that every corporation could experience since there will always come a time that these ISPs would be needing to upgrade their services to give a better experience for their clients. Sometimes, there where natural problems occur since we can't actually other things from cutting the lines or having other interferences.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody here trying to live bankless (using Bitcoin / cryptocurrencies)? on: October 03, 2020, 06:48:24 AM
I would like that kind of living but we can't still do that in our country.

I can use my Bitcoin through a local exchange but we are still limited to spend it since stores and merchants that accept it is not that many. We can buy through online stores but that would take time. Other essentials that I needed can't be used by it so if I will be using my Bitcoins that means I will be converting them to fiat, which also means we still needed the banks.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you prefer? Live casino games or slots? on: October 03, 2020, 04:35:17 AM
I'd prefer live casinos games than slots.

Most of these live casino games are those card games where I don't actually need to rely on the luck I have, it will be based on the skill and on the experience you have playing it for a long time. Another thing is that I am not a fan of slots, I love card games but I am not good with it but still, I will prefer those live casino games.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 03, 2020, 03:53:20 AM
Now at the final quarter, 105 - 94.

There's still a chance that Heat can chase the lead with this last quarter.

Lakers won, 124-114

Without Bam and Dragic, they are still getting good offense with Butler leading the team's offense. Still, it is not enough with the performance of Lebron, AD, and Rondo. When will these two players return? Without these two they can't give that much offense on said to be one of the best defensive teamin this season, LA Lakers.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 03, 2020, 01:16:18 AM
Miami heat has to win one game and there will be a thrill in this series. Right now, all eyes are on the Lakers and fans are thinking that Lakers are too much for them as they got dominated in game 1, they have to answer in game 2 so they'll gain that respect.

I have respect for them.

The fact that they reached the Finals is enough reason for me to respect the team. They are young, and no one actually thought that this team would make the finals. I know they could play well against the best seed of the west, they did great against the best seed of the east and despite the losses, they will stay as the best team of the east this season.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 02, 2020, 10:46:49 AM
Of course, Lebron wants to be perfect so his teammates will have the discipline the play or execute the play at the right way. They are already in the lead, we can't tell how many games this series will last, but for sure Lakers will do everything and will give everything in order to win.

I don't know but Miami Heat seemed to be overwhelmed at that game.

It is just the first game of the series and it seems that Miami Heat seemed to be overwhelmed on how the LA Lakers performed. Does this show how great Lakers is? I want to see the Miami Heat that dominated the best team in the regular season, I want to see the Miami that took down Boston Celtics, I see that they playing well but it seems it might end at game 5.
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: October 02, 2020, 09:23:38 AM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself

Yes, the best thing about trading is to find a way to do it by your self not and not relying on anybody or anyone before opening any positions.
You can learn from people.. But be on your own with your trade. And believe in your logic

I think I understand this differently.

It is great that you could trade by yourself but I don't think that should also mean not relying on other people especially if you are not that skillful enough to create your own strategy or profit. You could learn a lot of things from experienced ones and if you know you can do it yourself, then I guess that is the time that you make your own and needed to be relied on by others.
651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading? on: October 02, 2020, 07:37:06 AM
Perhaps my thoughts will seem wrong to someone, but nevertheless, in my opinion, the coronavirus pandemic greatly affects the economies of countries, including the value of national currencies. Many investors, as well as ordinary people, in search of alternative assets, pay the most attention to cryptocurrency. That is why the volume of daily cryptocurrency trading has been increasing recently, which indicates an increase in people's interest in cryptocurrency during the coronavirus period.

I believe in this too.

There is also a thread that explains that investors in that certain country are being interested in investing in cryptocurrencies, mainly Bitcoin. I think that also is an effect of the pandemic and it could be a positive effect of it since more of us are talking about the negative effect of the pandemic we are experiencing now to trading.
652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help day traders and newbie traders. on: October 02, 2020, 06:22:39 AM
Actually trading on the cryptocurrency market or any other financial market requires experienced and knowledgeable people.

You're saying it like newbies are not welcomed here.

No one could start into something and say that he is experienced in it, we all starts in the bottom and slowly we take our path going up. We gain knowledge and experience as we go and it is not that easy. There are a lot of times that you could get some losses but that is fine, that is a part of it. As the OP said,

2. You need to be mentally prepared to take risks and suffer losses.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you're making bitcoin complicated on: October 02, 2020, 05:22:53 AM
If you are new to crypto world, it would be advisable to spend some time to learn about this topic. I dont think that it is nice to blame old users for topics which are common, but you still dont understand them well

If you are interested in cryptocurrency, you'll find a way to gain knowledge.

There are a lot of ways for you to gain knowledge since Bitcoin is not a new technology anymore. A lot of books that could explain well what it is, the more you are interested in these cryptocurrencies the deeper your interest is in this, and the more you are desperate to gain more things about it. It is not always this forum, there are a lot of other sources we can use.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: October 02, 2020, 03:50:45 AM
Bitcoin isn’t hard to understand its a function of interest one puts in that determine the level of understanding.bitcoin is a legal and most countries round th word accepts it. So the knowledge of bitcoin is not hidden. Like I said initially it’s a function of choice of the individual.

This actually depends on the people.

As you said, the level of the understanding of the person or an individual to Bitcoin or maybe cryptocurrencies is determined by how interested they are. The more we are interested in a certain thing, that also means the higher understanding or knowledge we have on that.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: October 02, 2020, 02:49:58 AM
I think in my country it will not happen to phase out physical money even there is already a digital money or credit/debit card. Not all knows how to use cashless method and it is a long process. Not even have a good internet connection. There's a lot to consider before phasing out physical cash.

It will happen, but we don't know when.

It is true that there are a lot of countries that are behind in terms of technology but they are also going forward. Before we even talk about digital currencies there might be the mobile wallets or mobile payment systems that would revolutionize. I don't know if the government or the people as a whole would accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a fiat since I am just seeing them as an alternative in the process.
656  Economy / Economics / Re: Mathematics and economy on: October 02, 2020, 01:11:39 AM
Mathematicians are great but unless it is an inventor, I don't think people would invest in it.

These geniuses may have been representing their countries through math competitions but I don't see why people from other nations would invest money from them. Unless it is an invention that could make a profit or a technology that could be used to develop or improve a system, I don't think they would care. A math wizard won gold in a recent math competition, "ok give them money and fame for a period of time", that's it.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 27, 2020, 08:54:42 AM
KYC could help to minimize youngsters to go gambling but the fact that not all gambling sites require such a thing, below 18 years old could gamble. They have their phone, laptop/PC, online gambling is very accessible to anyone and sites can't hold them nor to stop youngsters to gamble unless KYC is required. But that is not the case, it probably gambling site owners will allow them, they are making money from it.

These youngters are not that stupid though.

They will find a way to get through that KYC without them showing their age on these sites. They also have an access to the internet that they could use efficiently so they could get informations they wanted to maybe make an account or bypass that KYC. It is not that these gambling sites owners earned from it, it is just that it is hard to filter their users.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 27, 2020, 08:12:14 AM
I am not hoping for this to happen.

I think Manny could fight other boxers and not this kind of an exhibition match. I know Manny and his game with every strong opponent he will face but I think it is better for Pacquiao to fight other professional boxers now and let this plan be his final match if he decides to hang the gloves, or maybe other rematches to prove that he's the best boxer of this generation.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 27, 2020, 07:09:07 AM
Miami vs Lakers, that sounds good to see, or you guys like Boston instead?

I want the classic rivalry of Boston Celtics and LA Lakers.

One of the best series in the past that I can't forget, and Rondo is said to be in his prime at that time when he is playing with the LA Lakers. Though, I am not certain since Miami Heat is the fans' favorite right now and they wanted Miami Heat to advance. Correct me if Im wrong but if Miami advance through the Finals, AFAIK, this is their first finals after Lebron left the Miami.
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: September 27, 2020, 06:10:45 AM
Buy the dip cause it is an opportunity but be sure that the coin you are buying can easily recover when the market recovers, not those altcoins that when it dips it so hard for it to recover.
Buy and hold are the best investment. On the dip, we are able to buy more within our budget and we are able to hold it. After some days, we will be able to make good profit from it.
yes, profits can now be made every day because the movement of bitcoin every day can go up and down quickly, if you listen confidently buy when it goes down and sell it after going up. because the difference is quite good and very profitable if it happens several times.

What if it keeps going up but does not come back down and you run out of BTC to sell?

What if it keeps going down and you run out of fiat to buy more BTC?

If this is the case I am holding, like what I am doing for a long time now.

If I have no choice to do things I wanted with it, I will just keep on holding. For sure time will come that either buying or selling is the choice so I just need to wait for that time. We really need to take advantage of the opportunities we have.
