641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone bet on the sharks yet ? on: October 14, 2020, 08:23:35 AM
I am not a fan of any forms of animal betting even horse, cockfighting, etc. Here in our country, some people gamble with spiders, people find different things to gamble on. If this kind of betting will take place sharks will have to be injected trackers to be able to accomplish the goal of the race. I don't enjoy any gambling forms that includes animals being harmed.
No shark were harmed due to the  online bookmaker. the sharks in question already have a tracking device which were put by the conservationist to track their migration route long before the bookmaker decided to make a bet out of their migration route.
No shark was harmed but I don't like how the game result was provider because the race result was provider by a third party which was said to be a nonprofit company which has been tracking the animals’ movements for years and despite no animals are harmed what about the team involved in fixing the device used to track the animals.
Honestly, I don't like the idea of shark gambling, and horse, dog race gambling is still ok by me.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 13, 2020, 10:25:47 PM
Judging bounty campaign by the rank of the manager could be misleading and this remind of Gold stablecoin when they started their bounty most people dont want to join cause the bounty was posted by their personal account which is still newbie but I was among the first people to join the project campaign cause I developed my knowledge in knowing genuine project.
Bounty participants need to develop themselves not to rely on bounty manager findings about project and the last time I checked all the bounty manager listed are once a victim of scam project
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cryptcurrency arbitrage any ideas? on: October 13, 2020, 09:07:37 PM
wasnt it possible a while back though with Korea?
Arbitrage trading through Korea and other Asian exchange is good especially their peer 2 peer cause I learn that the price of their cryptocurrency market there is usually high than the normal market.
Back to the OP question, arbitrage is still profitable but require good fund and buying crom exchange like Binance to sell at Asian market is good strategy.

Scammer are smart but unfortunately they are not smart enough to make money the right way.
It's just that most if not all scammers/thieves have complete lack of empathy towards other people.
Lets be honest here the online definition of Smart was

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Realistic
T - Timely

Scammers arent smart because someone who's intelligent, fond of making money in dubious way and lack empathy for others lose the Realistic aspect thats hes causing collateral damage of others and such person should be consider as Smat not Smart.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: October 12, 2020, 03:03:12 PM
The closure of the only native exchange site that offers service for crypto to KWD fiat currency is a sad story for all crypto enthusiast in Kuwait but the OP shouldn't have sold all his holding because the closure of the exchange was not because crypto is not supported by the Kuwait government, it was because the exchange site does not meet the criteria of having the license to operate within Kuwait which was what led to their fiat payment providers back out and this may change in the future when big exchange like Binance decide to partner with the exchange in the subject or expand their business.

Meanwhile, you can still trade on other exchanges while you sell your coin for fiat currency through the p2p exchange site.
646  Economy / Reputation / Re: Newbie Worst behavior on Bitcointalk forums. on: October 12, 2020, 01:43:48 PM
I, too, often meet such actions on the part of completely new profiles.
In my opinion, this is a bot's job. He registers under his own name, but with the data of other people. I am very interested in the motivation of the person who does this.
Since if he wants to frame someone's account in order to accuse him of cheating, then this does not work like that.
On the contrary, this does not have to do with bot cause some newbies does it intentionally in other to scam bounty campaign and this issue have been discussed last or two years i think in the Meta and the solution provided for bounty manager then is the use of "#Authentication Post" which was what leak the secret of most bounty spammers these day. However, some bounty managers are also the reason behind this issue because they are doing their job right.

I try to ignore the accounts of such newbies. In any case, there are many examples when they end up badly and eventually leave the forum
Is better to report the newbies to the bounty manager and mods through the reporr link.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Planning New 100,000-Bolivar Bills Worth Just $0.23 on: October 12, 2020, 04:18:42 AM
As you say this is such a shame, Venezuela before all of this was a beautiful country full of hard working people and beautiful destinations ready to receive tourists all over the world, and now after all of this it has turned in such a difficult to place to just keep on living that many people have either left the country or are thinking of doing it as we speak, and the worst part is that when all of this is over and finally those people are left without power it is going to take at least a generation to fix this mess and that is if the people of Venezuela elect people that are willing to solve this which is doubtful.

If Venezuela was full of hard working people, this could have never happened. This issue is not just limited to Venezuela. It is common to almost all the Latin American nations. There is a large section of the public in these countries, that prefer socialist policies. These countries are rich in natural resources, and it allows the government to indulge in populist policies. But when the spending goes above the tolerance threshold, the economic meltdown occurs (similar to what happened in Venezuela).
Economic problem is common almost among all latin American nations but Venezuela situation is worse and hyperinflation doesn't mean the Venezuelan people are not hard working as explained by South Park. However, what led to Venezuela todays problem is political turmoil, embezzlement of public funds and autocracy which started since 19th century.

The Venezuelan need people that will solve this issue so they can totally profit and put fund generated through the country mineral resources not the printing of new note which the government will still use to scam the country economy.

649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is to be the beginning of the rise of cryptocurrency on: October 10, 2020, 10:53:36 PM
Are you referring to the pandemic kicking off a surge in the crypto currency market or are you talking about DeFi or the other overhyped new thing? Because any of those, the answer would be yes.
Pandemic conditions once made the market experience an increase but not that big, only a little when seen through the percentage, but for DeFi this has had a slightly more impact because this year DeFi has become a positive trend and has been trusted by some people, even though to survive in the long term is doubtful.
On a contrary to, the pandemic impact every setting negatively with the inclusion of Bitcoin because the crypto market ought to be in the total bullish market by now not that it makes the market to experience a price increase as you said but despite the negative results it caused, it still showcases the true potential of Bitcoin to the world which was what lead to some private company using Bitcoin as their reserve asset.

For Defi, it becomes a trend because it gives crypto the chance to invest in financial in a decentralized way rather than the financial provided by the banks.
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: October 10, 2020, 05:56:18 PM
The market as at now.

Cryptocurrency trading is largely based on history with activities repeating itself every now and then with traders who are able to analyze correctly seem to always win the day. In the first and early phase of the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of trading activities dropped, causing a rather significant change in price of which seemed threatening and logical to watch out for in light of the resurfacing of the pandemic for a second time. This has left most traders in disarray as they tend to exchange their coins for ...

As to the history issue, I think cryptocurrency daily trade has got no history to refer or look upon for repeated occurrence. Except for buying a certain coin when it drops to hodl and resell when price starts increasing.
Cryptocurrency trading is more than just buying low, hodl and sell high or moving coins from one exchange to another. However, history activities does repeat itself which the reason why some experience traders expand their market examination by using both fundamental and technical analysis.

But apart this buying low and selling after sometime, I really don't see a history. It is not clear at the main what controls the cryptocurrency market, so I can not trace such to history.
Check all the price history of Bitcoin from the beginning and what usually happen when the market experience huge traffic or increase in mining difficulty, you will see that the price of Bitcoin will pump.
In trading, history is what you look at to take an order decision like forex trade but I don't see that exactly with cryptocurrency.
The samething happen in cryptocurrency but not everytime and thats because of the volatility of crypto.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next crypto to explode - Sentivate on: October 10, 2020, 01:41:58 PM
I've looked into this project and I think it has the potential to be huge if it catches on. It combines the regular web and decentralized web all into one product, which will make development so much easier for devs.

If you compare this to other "Web 3.0" projects- EOS, ETH, TRX, ADA- the current market cap is insanely low. This could easily 50x or more after launch.

Website: https://sentivate.com
Price per token: $0.0069
Market cap: $19,500,000 USD
Telegram: https://t.me/sentivate

Let me get some opinions from those who know this project.
I love the decentralized web introduced by the project teams but I honestly dont see something new or wow about this project which will make a huge in the future as you claimed because there are already some crypto related project which offers the same characteristics and they barely have big support.

...Do you block IP addresses from these regions?
Can anyone also explain why Curacao is included in the banned regions in Duelbits ToS even though they got their license to operate there?
Below is the answer to your question.

Quote
Banned and Restricted Regions
Banned Regions
People living or having a permanent or temporary residence in any of these countries are not entitled to register an Account on duelbits.com or use any of the Service on www.duelbits.com.

Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, France, The Netherlands, Saba, Statia, St. Maarten, Singapore, and the USA. This includes all of the named Nations' Territories.
I already found out the answer to my first question. I was the one who provided that. Putting the banned regions, however, doesn't answer my second question. I know the residents in Curacao are banned from using Duelbits and I'm asking why is that? Duelbits are registered and licensed in Curacao so why ban residents there?
Ok, if you are relating to the reason why Curacao was included among the restricted countries, only the team can say the genuine reason but the last time i checked gambling site can not operate outside the contract (rules and regulations) of their service provider/Master license holder and if they are allowed to operate in Curacao they have no reason to include it in their restricted country list.
653  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2FA app on desktop on: October 09, 2020, 06:03:09 PM
Addition to everything said before, ignore the convenience of using the go to 2FA app on the same desktop you use to sign into your exchange account cause it will make you vulnerable to attack and it better to always have your 2FA app on seperate device.

Meanwhile, If you're to use decentralized 2FA app like Aegis dont trust google anth app.

This site is really strange. Payed it a visit and want to register, but that button is not even on the page.

And when I want to sign in, I could not even create an account. Now users are forced to login with existing accounts from gmail and steam, not exactly a good association with bitcoin.
The site was a fiat base gambling site before and they just implemented crypto payment I think that's the reason why they initial used such a sign-in/sign-up procedure. However, I find out that someone has already asked this same question before, and this what the team has to say about it.
Hi, we  have on-site account creation coming soon, we targeted the steam audience at first .

655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof of pure luck on: October 09, 2020, 04:03:28 AM
Few months in the gambling industry and I've never seen anyone ever questioning: How am I supposed to be sure that what am I playing is based on pure luck?

The owners could have simply programmed the numbers in a way to always be profitable, but not 100% lucky. The problem is that even if the admins were honest and said that the numbers of their game are getting generated randomly, there's no proof that they do.
In other to clear the air and make gamblers understand that game results are generated randomly despite the house edge of most gambling to be 1% was the reason why provably fair was introduced so that gambler can check the result of the game are fair and not rigged or fixed.

You still have to trust them and since we're talking about entrepreneurs, we can't be sure they're not lying. By making the program open source, yes, you do have made a big step, but still, the client can't view the back-end's code to check that the files are the open sourced ones.
Providing the open source code or the back end code of a gambling site can cause future complication of the gambling site and the last time I checked every gambling site paid huge fund for the programmer that creates the code for them exposing it for others to emulate it won't seems good and not gambling site owner will ever do that.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 09, 2020, 03:31:14 AM
Wonder why he stopped talking about this fight?
But still too early anyway, a lot can happen in between. Let's see.
The tweet sent out by Conor McGregor was Manny Pacquiao vs Conor McGregor in Saudi Arabia. The fact is these Middle Eastern countries are loyal to Khabib Nurmagomedov and the Saudi officials informed Conor McGregor to take down the tweet within an hour or face legal action and Conor McGregor took down that tweet and now wanted to divert the attention and asked for Dustin Poirier fight  Grin.
I think there more to it than what you just explained but if that's was what really happens, I don't see a reason why he has to skip the Manny Pacquiao fight because of the Saudi government threat cause it not a must that the fight take place on Saudi Arabia soil.
657  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 09, 2020, 12:03:59 AM
Maybe the defi hype is not completely over but now the defi hype has lost its popularity a bit and I predict that at the beginning of the month until the end of the year the 80% defi hype will die, only those who have large volumes can survive
Defi hype is not over neither did it lost it popularities and if you check the capital market and coingecko youll different new Defi projects listed everyday. I think what happening now is that there competition in the Defi market so investors are now splitting their investment in other not to miss the potential others Defi project pose. However, if the reason for this topic was because of the down trend in the Defi market, that means you guys don't understand every crypto in the market experienced the downtrend.
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone inside this paid trading group ? on: October 08, 2020, 02:19:53 PM
I came accross this trading group on telegram they charge .06 btc to become a lifetime member, is anyone part of it ? are the trades any good ? Please dm me or reply let me know what you think

I special and expensive advise, dont join the group cause they will cheat you in the end by using you and other followers to pump the price of their puppet coin so they can sell at profitable price while you are use as a prey. However, you can still make a successful trade by following whales movement through Binance features rather than rely your trading decision on a third party.

No hard feels but you should understand that newbies vouch will raise a red flag and looking at the issue, a single vouch message in exchange for 20 merits is more than telling them about the movement cause it seems like a done bargain and such a vouch shouldn't be count as reasonable.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 07, 2020, 11:41:13 PM
It seems that after Ferguson left, they lost their vision and want to achieve everything quickly, buying players instead of creating them through work and training.
It's not just Manchester United spending money this days, every big club has to spend money, (paying little attention to their academy) to be able to compete with the other teams around them, the problem in United's case is I believe they are spending money on the wrong players (like new signing, Edinson Cavani imo), who aren't performing to the standard man u fans expects of them. Mind you that during Fregies time, there were less big money transfers as there are now, and the players Ferguson signed then, always performed very well.

The league is only just starting, with four games played, but it already looks like it's impossible for Manchester United to win the EPL this season, that's how bad they look to me. Some years back, how dare your write off united from competing for the Epl title.

The problem with Manchester United is that they are trying to sign stars.
But the only stars that will be willing to join Man Utd at this time will be only those who are in decline or that do not perform at their best on their current clubs.
Man Utd should better hire better scouter and focus more on young talents that would be cheaper to the team as well.
They are certainly not after signing star players and what Ole seems to be looking for is a quality player, a fighter that will influence Man United winning and if they couldnt find what they need they can still sign new player outside the transfer window on an emergency basis. However, there are still some players in the transfer market.
