641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: February 05, 2024, 09:44:35 AM
The idea of cell phones and tablets for children is always to make the lives of parents easier ....
Yo the same devices are the gateways to different sorts of indulgences, including gambling. Having them in the hands of the elderly people makes them easy targets for phishing scams, popup scams, telecaller frauds and eventually gambling addiction. Care should be taken when giving them access to such a device and child like parental controls put in that in order to avoid such mishaps.

While a lot of these devices can save lives, they are easy targets and hence the bad things weigh out the gains in my opinion.

ETF approval is surely big success for the bitcoin with hopefully we will have few mass adoptions in coming months because as people's and few big institutions are understanding this all we are having better and soft policies even still it's not easy, but now I am feeling much better about my this investment.
The price is not yet moving that much, so you can assume that the effect of ETF is still taking time or that people are still selling bitcoin and moving their attention to other coins. Either way the long term holders dont mind. Keep collecting coins from different sources and investing in freebitco.in because these opportunities are dying out these days with new casinos no longer taking public investments.

Bitcoin will continue to grow in price and acceptance and thus play with a bit of moderation.

644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: February 04, 2024, 05:33:39 AM
If a religion prohibits gambling but its followers are technologically savvy and enjoy exploring new methods, it may be challenging to prevent them from doing so. Ultimately, the extent to which individuals adhere to religious teachings depends on their reverence for their religious leaders and their commitment to following commandments.
It is a choice of the person doing so, religion attempted to stop people from following a wrong path before scientific reasons could be found. Today it will known that addiction in gambling is a pathological condition and needs treatment and hence the religious words of gambling being a sin is still correct. It does not mean that religion is always correct but in this case it definitely was.

Now to follow it or not is the choice of the gambler. If someone tries to restrict them, and the gambler wants to play, nobody can stop the latter in this world of technology.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: February 04, 2024, 05:25:31 AM
Op, can't support the picture you shared, where advising gamblers to stake more! Even keep staking by taking loan? Thus gambling will be no longer for fun but it becomes turn into addiction for gamblers where money will only does matter. And there also said, literally you can't loose! I haven't got that mean! Cause we all know that, gambling is a place where people lose their fund more than win. So keep staking by taking loan could be dangerous and life can be ruined because of such steps. This is not normal and responsible behave in gambling. I'll never advise such thing to any of my friends who are engaged in gambling world
Its indeed bad if done in a unmoderated manner. Gambling should be kept within the reins of fun territory and not into the despair domain. Taking loans to gamble means that person is so desperate to win back the loss that they are taking more risks on their head. At one point it is just easier to accept that you lost the money and move on with your life while working a job to make it up.

Not accepting this "defeat" means you are driving your own pain and addiction without actually knowing it. The house will win no matter what, so it is better be quick about the acceptance and move on.

All these things can be avoided if you be the type of gambler who plays once a year at Vegas with some spare money while having fun with friends and not more.
646  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Since 2013 | Longest Running Crypto Casino | 113 BTC Jackpot! on: February 04, 2024, 05:10:21 AM
The reason why they can't just implement this is probably because they don't have enough resources yet to be able to do this or have the money needed to make it into a real thing and from what I understand, they're going to need some kind of planning for this right because they might skew some of the accounts during the process.
Any one trying to launder money through these casinos should be out of their mind to try it. AML policies are strict here and any caught doing so will get their account locked.

A number of such cases eventually spill over to this forum as fake "scam accusations" too but majority remain silent because of the embarrassment. Getting those accounts migrated would mean more spotlights on their accounts and more chances of getting caught, so I dont think they would want that anyway.

Let primedice be the legend as it was without all these new features.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: February 04, 2024, 05:01:12 AM
So, if you had the opportunity to advise people about courses to choose In University, what would it be and why?
I would ask them to follow the subject that keeps them awake at night thinking of possibilities in it and things that make them scream "cool".

One should never force someone to study a course, times change and demands change too - a few subjects will always remain relevant no matter what but many are just created by universities to get money and the people doing it are doing it just for the sake of getting the degree and join a job somewhere.

Pursue your dreams and do that course that allows you to realize that dream.

649  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 03, 2024, 10:26:34 AM
I used to have a paytm account which was active, but eventually UPI came in and followed by Gpay and I eventually lost interest in that app. With freebies stopping on many such sites, I rarely opened their app anymore. Only recently I opened it on my device when Paytm launched their IPO.

Till date, I have already cleared off my balance from Paytm a long time back. I think this is one part of attempting to curb the payments system so they can push the CBDC eRuppee into the population.
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: February 03, 2024, 10:21:53 AM
When you takes wrong decisions..
A wrong decision is also a learning point. Nobody seems to give it that importance.

Quote
It means when your trade goes opposites to your prediction.
If your trade goes opposite of the prediction then you still have the exchanged asset at hand and you still have a chance to break even when that asset comes back up. So if you are staying in limitation to the top level altcoins and bitcoin you should be good for a few months.

Quote
You have to keep patience don't react too much on it. Try to book some loss and take patience and wait for the best time to take an entry.
Indeed patience is important, mindset too, because keeping the nerves in such situations is tough. Hence always trade assuming the money put in will get lost in due course.
651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: February 03, 2024, 10:15:18 AM
The biggest point here is that trading has nothing to do with losses.
The more you trade the more your chance of loss and profit. Dont see how your statement makes sense.

Quote
The more intelligent you chat the more profits you will make and the more your losses will increase.
How does chatting have to do anything with trading? In fact those who talk more always make more mistakes.

Quote
But if you say that due to changes in the market the loss is high when testing then that is a different matter. When it comes to trading the greedy is more than the loser.
The greedy one will lose more than the humble one but profits and losses are not exclusive to one another. Today you might buy at the low and if you are patient enough to hold through you will be selling at the high making you a overall profit. Continue this over a few months and you should be in a net profit.
652  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 03, 2024, 10:08:20 AM
A social media promotion works well when it is backed by the affiliates - like Leo said, it is not currently possible for them to pose such a referral program unlike other casinos. If it is working for them then I dont see any problem. They ran a signature campaign and I guess that helped build up some of the regular users there along with people who knew the brand moneypot previously.

They should follow the "dont change it if its not broken" method and if they see player numbers dip, they might restart the campaign or do something more.
653  Local / India / Re: Everything is becoming shitty with the local board. on: February 01, 2024, 05:05:11 PM
Does India already have merit sources? If not, perhaps you can contact one of the merit sources to help your local board.
Two, if I am not mistaken, not publicly known but speculated.

OP has been trying their level best to bring this local section up to speed for any newbie India users who might stumble upon this forum and want to join in on the local community on this forum. Till date they have done a commendable job at keeping the section active, warning the less active users and organizing contests for the same.

A lot of adverse things that we have to face - the government and its shadow ban is the biggest looming terror at this point.

BTW are you Indian? If so feel free to post in my welcome thread, which has gone inactive.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 04:56:17 PM
I can create a witty quote and it can be called a proverb over the internet as well. Hence a quote like that does not necessarily mean that it is a good thing or maybe you are understanding it too superficially.

The explanation I would take is that one should take risks in life, not doing so means that they never tried. It was never about gambling with money at all.

Trigger or no trigger, it only acts like one if you are inclined to take it as so. To someone who understands that gambling is mostly a loss for the player, they would not get triggered even at a slightest.
655  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: February 01, 2024, 04:52:05 PM
People  fail in trading because they think trading is all about having money to trade and with this profit can be made. Many people disregard knowledge when it comes to trading because they really want to be rich in trading .
Trading is indeed about money, but how we can make money from that is the bigger question. Being narrowed down to only profit making would lead to a trader who does not know when to buy or sell. Patience is important too, without which there will never be a trader. Knowledge is important too, but beyond one stage it is less important - since majority of the spot trading is just buy low and sell high - as long as that timing is proper, you are good.

Failing in trading has many reasons and these are few of the common ones. Be patient, do dummy trading, dont trade altcoins.
656  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 01, 2024, 04:47:33 PM
My prediction was wrong for the price range of $37.5k - $40k and it seems that the price will indeed stay inbetween $40k - $45k.
Just few more hours left to lock this range and people are going to win a decent 1.9x returns. That's a pretty good return.
The Bitcoin price seems to be resilient at this level and not dropping below 41k USD anytime soon. The longer we stay in such a level the bigger panicky situation it would become when the next up or down trend beings, then everyone will join the bandwagon. Good luck to those who are betting on the same because you never know what might happen in the last few minutes, but it usually takes a day or two to complete such sudden movements, so carry on.

Any more of that ETF good news pumping happening? Grin
657  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: January 31, 2024, 02:40:46 PM
We are mostly talking in terms of government political leaders here. In which case most of politically biased and although I might agree with some of their actions some might not get my approval but that does not matter at all to the world - that is how the democracy works.

In the context of following a leader, I prefer to learn the good qualities that a leader has and continue on my own instead of following them. A good leader can only lead but unless they have power at hand they cannot change things for the greater good.

Most of the times political leaders are having to face different people from other countries, pressure from communities and attempt to stabilize all of them at the same time. It is not an easy job and I usually keep myself away from such.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: January 31, 2024, 02:33:03 PM
Debt payment should be from stable income. Gambling is not a stable income at all.

However this context is very common, because many people take loans to fund their gambling games with the hope that they will double it and pay back with interest while the rest is their money to keep. This does not always work out and when things go South, they take another loan to pay back the old one.

This cycle of debt does not stop and eventually the gambler finds themselves in a tough spot to come out of. Hence taking a loan to gamble or trying to pay back a loan by gambling should be avoided.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: January 31, 2024, 02:30:15 PM
Under equal conditions, spot trading cannot be more profitable than futures, since futures trading uses margin and, accordingly, the profit will be large. Accordingly, if the price moves in the opposite direction to your expectations, then the losses will be correspondingly greater than in spot trading.
The profit might be more in comparison to spot trading but so is the risk. Spot is at least safer that you are holding the asset at hand even after changing it to another coin - you should be able to sell it again for something else. While in any other form of trading you are essentially gambling with your asset's price prediction and hence can quickly get washed away.

For beginners, spot is the way to go, they should learn the pros and cons of all these different forms of trading, other than spot, I dont recommend them to anyone.

...what exactly do I tell my wife is the reason I failed to win the FreeBitco lottery last week.?  Huh
I am surprised to know that you tell your wife about these lotteries. Grin

Surely it is a lottery and anybody can win or lose, although having more tickets increases the probability but does not guarantee one. Even a single ticket owner might be a winner if their ticket is a winning one.

It's good it was credited but two hours later I saw it in the history well after launching my tricks. It was the first time I saw that. I have done no offense. I've been playing for a long time
Deposits get credited after one network confirmation which can take long depending on how much fees you paid. Although recently the fees had sky-rocketed, they are down now to manageable levels and they should not take long. If you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask here.
