641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto Alive ?! on: March 03, 2024, 07:19:38 PM
To be honest no one knows that either Satoshi is alive or not but most of us believe that he is still alive. Some people think that Hal Finney was Satoshi Nakamoto and they also believe that Satoshi is no more. But none of those can prove that really that Hal was Satoshi.

In actual, Satoshi left Bitcoin community because his main idea behind creation of Bitcoin was to create something that would allow humans to transfer money without relying on centralized entities. Satoshi is our hero and even always remain our hero.

He left Bitcoin community intentionally and I'm very sure that he won't reappear again. He is just anonymous and he will remain anonymous forever.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery ticket sports bets on: March 03, 2024, 07:09:52 PM
What do you think of such bets? Have you ever considered doing it?
I have placed so many such bets but all of them were pure losses. I never won even a single bet in that way. I think my luck is not in my favor when I do multibetting however it's a nice strategy I think. We don't lose a lot of money because $0.05 is not that much but surely the odds of winning such bets is very low.

I think in order to win such bets one should go with pretty low odds like 1.04 But still events with such low odds we still might end up losing. However, such kind of betting is a fun way to try our luck and who knows when our luck gets better we might end up winning one such bet.

I will surely keep betting in that way because it's a fun way and who knows if luck favors us then we might win a big lottery jackpot. Yeah it's just like a jackpot because winning that much is just a dream come true type of feeling.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help trading. on: March 03, 2024, 06:58:55 PM
Please let me know what you think a beginner should know and where they can receive the knowledge that will help them become an expert, as well as how long it will take me to get the hang of the complete trading technique. Links are greatly appreciated.
As a beginner, you should first try to learn about technical analysis. There are so many tutorials about technical analysis that you can find with a simple Google search, and on YouTube. I suggest you to begin learning with one or two technical indicators at first, you should also try to understand that how charts work. You can learn all those things either by searching on Google, visiting sites like Investopedia, or searching such content on YouTube.

I think $500 is a good amount to begin your trading journey, but be careful you should first try your best to learn about the technical indicators, also you should try to use stop loss. Stop loss is a very important thing for a new trader, those new traders who don't use stop loss might end up losing a lot of money. As a beginning trader, you should also try to control your emotions because it's a fact that new traders who can't control their emotions end up emptying their accounts.
644  Other / Meta / Re: Streaming service quality documentary on the BitcoinTalk.org Forum is now out on: March 03, 2024, 06:48:34 PM
Very kind works, appreciate you taking the time to watch the episodes. I hope to produce more (a new one each week for several years) so that our industry of cryptocurrency has high quality content to entertain us but also educate newcomers to the space.
Great to hear that, it is a pleasure to watch all those episodes. yeah, each week a new episode would be a really good thing I think, I will try to watch those episodes. I think you're right, crypto community needs such content and I'm very happy to see that you are devoting your time to create such content for the crypto community. Thank you for devoting your time for creating such amazing content for the community, I really appreciate that!
645  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: March 03, 2024, 04:51:03 PM
Other than Pakistan, there are other communities too which are active on their local threads like "Укpaїнcькa (Ukrainian)" and  "বাংলা (Bengali)" and they are also waiting for their local board.
Yes, I think all those local threads that you mentioned should be considered when during creation of new local boards. I also agree that there are some boards with very less activity but as they have been on forum for sometime so I believe they should also remain on the forum.

Ultimately, it's Theymos's decision because only he knows better that when new boards should be created. I hope Pakistan and all those mentioned communities may get their local boards in 2024 as a gift when Bitcoin crosses its ATH.
646  Other / Meta / Re: Is the forum running slow? on: March 03, 2024, 07:33:08 AM
I am also facing the same issue, and I believe the forum is loading very slow for everyone. I think there is too much load on the server of the forum. This can mainly be an issue because of the web host. I haven't faced that certificate error but surely the forum is loading very slow for me. I confirm that it's taking minutes to load a page.
647  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving don't make wealth on: March 02, 2024, 10:44:19 PM
Investment is really important in order to get wealthy but it's not right to say that saving makes people poor. In fact saving is the first stage of investing, if you don't save money then how could you invest it? I believe saving and investing work simultaneously.

If someone who's good at saving then that person can invest some money in Bitcoin and a few other assets in order to earn revenue when the Bitcoin or those other assets gain value. By following a DCA strategy, and holding your Bitcoin, you can gain profits and that's similar to saving, I guess DCAing and holding is similar to saving.
648  Economy / Exchanges / Re: JCRYP.TO | NO KYC CRYPTO EXCHANGE on: March 02, 2024, 10:15:24 PM
Welcome to the forum, it's nice to see that you have already purchased Cooper Membership, but I have noticed that you have not embedded any graphics in the thread and that's why the thread doesn't look eye-catching. I recommend you to make a good graphical representation of this announcement thread by embedding the images. That way people will find your platform more exciting.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 02, 2024, 11:13:02 AM
So the question now is: What could really put a gambler in such a situation, addiction, or greediness?
I believe that's a pure case of gambling addiction because an addict can go to any extent in order to satisfy his gambling desires. The guy knew that he had no money in his pockets but still he continued batting in hope that he might win a round.

He lost all those rounds and all of the bets and when he had no other option to save himself then he might have thought about giving his smart phone to the shop owner. There are so many gamblers who do that, and unfortunately most of them are gambling addicts.
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 02, 2024, 11:00:04 AM
I want to know what guys do. Are some of you trading the market regardless or some of you are like me, investing and observing the market
I'm not sure about others but I am doing both of those. I have invested in some good alt coins and I hold my Bitcoin. At the same time I am doing good as a trader. So I guess we can do both of those, in fact I believe trading can be more profitable during bull run.

I observe the market on daily basis, mostly I look at the charts of Bitcoin. Sometimes I also observe the charts of other reputed alt coins, and see their movements. In this bull market anything can happen, many of the alt coins may also reach their ATH, and all those people who have invested in those alt coins might earn huge profits.

Traders can also earn huge profits because of the movements of the market, because a volatile market can give good profits to day traders or scalpers. I know trading is more riskier than investing but the one who is good at trading can earn some good revenue from trading.
651  Other / Meta / Re: Streaming service quality documentary on the BitcoinTalk.org Forum is now out on: March 02, 2024, 10:50:41 AM
I have watched that documentary which you have created for Bitcointalk. It was a really great documentary, and I would say thank you for devoting your time to create a documentary like that. The members of Bitcointalk really appreciate your efforts, and we hope that you will continue to be part of this community.

I have also watched a few more documentaries on your channel, and I must say that you have created very good documentaries. of course, the best one is the Bitcointalk one, however other documentaries are also equally good. I believe that I'm going to be watching most of your documentaries from now on. Thank you once again for creating the documentary about Bitcoin talk.
652  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: March 02, 2024, 10:43:54 AM
Anyway whatever is the reason, we will continue to be active and supportive to the community. This year we started even better for our community as many new posters are regularly active on our local board and as usual, we keep track of the most active posters each month and give the some rewards too.
Yeah, that's a great thing because being supportive for a community is the best thing that the members of a community can do. I am very sure that in future there will be a Pakistan (Urdu) local board.

Yes, I have noticed some good activity on that local board and if you people Continue posting good information like that then Theymos might create a new local board for Pakistani people.

It's great to know that you reward most active members of your local board thread because that encourages the active members, and they will keep posting more and more good posts in that thread.

I hope to see Pakistani local board one day on this forum, until then you people should continue posting like that in your local thread.
653  Other / Meta / Re: A simpler version of demerits: "dmerits" for every X merits earned on: March 02, 2024, 10:34:17 AM
I could also accuse you of being an alt account of OddJobs. Why? Because OddJobs made a statement about having alt accounts and now you’re also talking about alt accounts. Pretty damn suspicious if you ask me. Tongue
Your assumption is totally wrong, you're trying to say that anyone who talks about alt accounts is that OddJobs right? In fact, if you have been part of this forum then you might have seen many reputed members who have talked about alt accounts, and some of them even found out alts of the members with multiple accounts. For your information, I don't have an alt account on this forum and I will never need one.

Your words seem misleading to me, who knows that you might be another alt of that OddJobs? You are talking a lot about the alt account thing, that sounds very shady to me, and there's a chance that you might be an alt of that guy or someone else.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: March 02, 2024, 10:05:51 AM
New ATH will always be around the corner, but if nothing is happening in your portfolio, you will be missing out such opportunity. Though of course, it all depends on you how you get ahead in your financial investments.
You are right, I agree with you. If someone is not taking any action, and if his portfolio doesn't grows then for a person like that ATH won't matter that much. But, to be honest most of those people who talk about ATH always get profits when ATH reaches.

In fact, all those people who have invested in Bitcoin or in other crypto currencies can get some profit when Bitcoin's ATH takes place. Most of the investors have invested in Bitcoin, but they have also invested in other crypto currencies. During the ATH, all crypto currencies get pumped up and the investors who have invested in those crypto currencies can get some good profits.
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: March 01, 2024, 11:02:21 PM
The ATH price is only a few thousand dollars different from the current price so why are we discussing repeated discussions, because the ATH price does not necessarily have to be reached at the end of the year
We can reach ATH even this month if buying pressure continues but if parabolic moves shifts to downward direction then forget about having a new ATH this month. The chances for having a new ATH are much higher in this month but if something like that happens then we can expect to have a new ATH during the halving event. As Bitcoin investors we know that history repeats itself but this time I'm quite sure we'll have something that's out of our rational thinking.
656  Other / Meta / Re: A simpler version of demerits: "dmerits" for every X merits earned on: March 01, 2024, 10:07:09 PM
I’m starting to suspect you’re an alt account of OddJobsForBitcoin and only throwing around baseless accusations to deflect.
You're 100% wrong with your understanding. How could you even think that a reputed member like Lucius needs to own an alt account which's useless? OddJobsForBitcoin hasn't contributed anything to the forum while on other hand Lucius is a known member of the community who has contributed a lot to the community. I suggest you to be careful while making such assumptions.
657  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Any working bitcoin testnet faucet in 2024? on: March 01, 2024, 09:26:36 PM
I actually did come across a thread on this forum some weeks ago, where a user is selling testnet bitcoins, I've tried searching but cant find the thread anymore, and I can't even remember the board it was posted, maybe op would have made use of that if he eagerly needs the testnet bitcoins and don't mind spending a few bucks to get it.
In actual the Testnet bitcoins are worthless, they have no monetary value but still if someone want to purchase it then who can stop that person. I suggest everyone to avoid purchasing of testnet bitcoin because once you purchased it then you won't be able to sell it when you need your money back. I'm very sure that once this airdrop thing gets halted then generous members of this forum will again offer free testnet bitcoins.
658  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Any working bitcoin testnet faucet in 2024? on: March 01, 2024, 09:07:39 PM
Just make a simple search on Google like "Bitcoin testnet faucet" then you'll find a bunch of those. I haven't personally tried those but they seems to be working. Google is your best friend, just use it. I must tell you that from those faucets you won't get huge quantities of testnet Bitcoin but at least you can get in small quantities. A member on this forum was giving free testnet BTC in past but now mostly everyone is searching for those testnet coins in order to grad airdrops that's why he isn't giving testnet coins anymore.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 01, 2024, 07:53:10 PM
1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
It's a very good advice, betting all your money in a single bet is the worst thing that any gambler does. The simple reason for that is chance of losing the whole funds in a single bet which one should never do.

2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
This one is also very good, I have seen many people who followed Martingale strategy by doubling their bet size after each loss. That's the worst thing that anyone does, increasing the value of bet will result into more losses than wins. Only increase the amount of bet when you're 100% sure that the result will be in your favor.

3. Don't bet more than once a day.
It's not necessary to place one bet a day, if someone who is happy to make smaller bets then that person could place 2-4 bets per day without much losses. Instead of placing one big bet one should divide that bet into 4 small bets. One should never place more than 4 bets a day.

4. Don't bet every day.
Yes, betting daily isn't needed and it will cause addition. I believe one should bet 2-3 days per week not more than that.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: March 01, 2024, 03:28:50 PM
The restrictions on gambling has always been on age and not class or even financial capabilities, there are restrictions based on countries too which I don't fail to recognize too.
Yes, and I'm very sure that age related gambling restrictions will exist forever. Because a kid or those who are underage don't really understand that how harmful gambling could be for them. Even if young people get addicted to gambling they can later find out a way to reduce the impact of that addiction when they learn about gambling responsibility but someone who's underage won't be able to give up on that addiction and that will cause huge problems in his life. In some places even underage people can use an online casino by faking his registration age at online casinos, however they won't be able to get their KYC verified due to the age restriction.

~Snip~
Yes, there are some casinos that don't have any such limits or restrictions but I guess they must have age related restriction in order to stop underage people from using their platforms. It could cause huge problems if a young gets addicted to gambling.
