641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you heard of p2p trading?. on: February 27, 2021, 05:53:10 PM
I think the understanding of P2P at this time will help those who had to adopt it as a result of ban from their countries, where government is preventing banks from direct involvement in cryptocurrency-fiat exchange. This information can control worries from such quarters, it is also as important to use known escrow unit, better if exchanges provide such escrow services like binance does, more also their can be a direct investment in cryptocurrency with the exchange with escrow service.
642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: February 25, 2021, 08:38:10 PM
If you started investment in this space by December 2, 2020, when the thread started. From BNB, ETH and BTC, the low risk investment with the highest marketcap. You must have made minimum of 2x from any of the investment, in some others 10-50x with lower cap. Another time will be in this time of correction, this may last few days before we attain new ATH for some of the big cap, look for where retailers are moving there money and break your investment into them.
643  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What is the most secure device to store Bitcoin? on: February 25, 2021, 07:34:42 PM
I would suggest that you format your Notebook. Then, you can create two Users: A user without any admin privileges, just to use adult content. And another user account, with admin privileges, to use only for crypto with your hardware wallet.
It is best to have the bitcoin storage on a device that has never been connected to any networks and will never be connected either. A fully offline airgap computer. Otherwise the connected to internet device is already at risk whether user goes to risky sites or not.
But your suggestion is still good to create a hot wallet with small spending amounts in it.
Is it possible to hold bitcoin in a wallet and never need internet for its transaction?
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: February 25, 2021, 07:24:28 PM
No one is above this mistake, that is the reason an investor should double check before sending fund, I would have adviced to try with a transaction but the gas fee for each transaction can be a quality investment itself. I was a victim of this, then I learnt to follow any interested project early, joining the telegram and other social media group early. Get familiar with the operations, community managers, probably have a prior conversation that could keep a record for possible clone admin. Double check the address with the website if possible
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TEM] temtum - Quantum secure, feeless & lightweight decentralised network. on: February 24, 2021, 09:39:18 PM
The project does not seem dead but appear only on an exchange after it got delisted from coinlist and made previous ATH this last week, a lot of failed promises and inactive telegram group. it cant enjoy DEX trade because of the blockchain and no form of update on the development of the project. Its over 2 years since bounty campaign we might just have to let go
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: February 24, 2021, 08:45:16 PM
We all believe the development of ETH. 2 will solve the high gas fee problem and it is over 2 months that development started without effect on the gas fee. There is no way to get out of it if 15 transaction can only be handled in 1 sec around the world, for such a coin with the most efficient use case. we still have over 2 years for the completion and the struggle in not getting better. I just hope ethereum wont loss so much to other blockchains.
647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there New people joining crypto for the first time on: February 24, 2021, 05:43:14 AM
The pseudonymous nature of the space makes it difficult to know the rate of adoption by new people. Just for bitcoin alone we have over 500 million wallets though some do have bitcoin and many can have more than one of this, for altcoin same applies. CEX have the chances with KYC to know the size of new users although this information may not be shared by exchanges. Also some users keep their coins on exchanges, which could be difficult to attach users outside the exchanges. The way new fund comes in could give an idea of how many wealth individuals had been taking position in cryptocurrency.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bloody Crypto market. on: February 23, 2021, 03:37:49 PM
If we consider BTC only (since you posted on speculation board of Bitcoin), BTC is ~16% down from the ATH while in February alone, more than 50% up.
If you were thinking of your position on BTC, I would recommend you to use Stop Loss feature. It sometimes works good in such situation.
Is about picking the right price to stop limit especially when the dump might be a fleet and we come back quickly. I dont know how long the correction will go since it has started over 36 hours, taking position in the altcoins as well. The terrible drag of the whole market with it, is annoying.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why ETH dropped 20% from the high peak? Anyone knows? on: February 23, 2021, 03:26:10 PM
...Anyone knows what is happened?   Cry

It is naive to expect that at a time when bitcoin has lost 30% in its price, the price of ethereum and the rest of the cryptocurrency will remain the same. It is naive to expect that at a time when bitcoin has lost 30% in its price, the price of ethereum and the rest of the cryptocurrency will remain the same.
The dump is not up to 30% and we have seen worst at over 30% dump even in a bull market and it gets back. Ethereum has not been impressing even in this bull market so nothing surprising, sadly the gas fee is still high, so it is not only when the price is dumping that gas prices go up. Maybe more money will go to altcoins after this dump, it could give impression that fund is not coming in there for now.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YVS Finance - first yield-farming, vaults and staking deflationary token on: February 22, 2021, 07:45:52 PM
Can we see names of the partners and roadmaps for this project? I take it with high esteem that partners and supporters of new projects in this market, the bull market for new coin through this year may not be as long as we think,at least it should create a moment in the present market while both the investors and team can keep a good fund from this market and keep through the bear to develop the project and fund it. I realize from previous market that teams financial decision now may determine the length of the a project
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts $100k before end of the year on: February 22, 2021, 07:34:24 PM
100k is less than 2x from the present price. If the move in the bullish can show such movement from last year till now at 15x from 2020 bottom ($4000) and the influence of the wealthy from acquisition had provide the level of scarcity, then our expectation for a parabolic move will fall above 200k, even within this year.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market too big to ignore, says Nigeria SEC on: February 22, 2021, 07:29:19 PM
I totally love the Nigerian SEC stance towards cryptocurrency and I like the statement of "the world cannot be moving forward and we will be static" since the whole is changing to crypto for Nigeria to be among the most country with good crypto traffic the CBN previous ban will affect a lot of crypto user in Nigeria.
But I don't understand is their plan to regulate crypto which is not possible and they can only regulate exchange activities and the last I check 97% of all centralized crypto to fiat exchange offer KYC.
I just hope the foreign companies that offer services of trade in the country like Binance dont get too much into the politicking of oppression that the Government is playing. I was expecting a demand for tax payment but at the moment the deregulation has not mentioned that, this is a country where every tax paying countrymen are not happy with what Government does or did not with it. It only looks like siphoning the populace to enrich their pockets.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that bitcoin is $50,000, will we see ETH to value at $2000 soon? on: February 21, 2021, 09:51:58 PM
Ethereum has been disappointing in this market and I don't want to believe is as a result of the high gas fee. The development through the tokenomics and massive use case. We have waited for institutions acquisition and no public claim by the bitcoin investors.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term solid projects? on: February 21, 2021, 11:50:38 AM
The decision to be long term or short will depend on coins acquired and size of fund committed. ATM bitcoin as SOV remain a coin to hold for a long time and invest more into, even through the bear if one is capable. For small holders who can pick the height of the market, could sell a big chunk and buy in the bear, it is assumed there will always be a time to buy but can the gut be there? The derivative in the market is different from previous, we may not see Defi in the next so holding on to some projects and their ideas might be risky.
655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: February 21, 2021, 11:50:32 AM
As long as the reputation of Binance (exchanges) is good and still become the top exchanges of Centralized exchanges, Binance coin could replace Ethereum.
But we can't deny the fact if Centralized exhanges always have been targeted of hacker and each year there at least 1 exchanges will be hacked, Binance ever got hacked once on 2019.

So, be aware if Binance will get hacked in the future... the coin value will got affected too.

Binance's reputation is very good so it is certain that if it continues like this BNB will catch up with ETH in the future,
but by the time eth version 2 has been released we will see more demand to which platform ETH or BNB is new from
there we will see who will control market.
Are u a developer and have you heard from developers using the Binance chain? The gas fee still look attractive but according some assessment I read, it could be describe as hardfork of ethereum and it is only providing a temporary solution. Binance is smart enough to promote the chain in times like this when ethereum users are frustrated about the high gas fee but we dont know as some know the defects of the binance chain.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And yet another problem for promoters on: February 20, 2021, 01:33:13 PM
except for BTC , I wont prefer ETH or USDT to any coin I chose to promote in the space for bounty. I believe some coins will perform better than ETH let in this bull market let alone a stable USDT coin (which can also be in ethereum block). Some teams made a big mistake to delay the distribution of token on the strategy of controlling the dump but they are in terrible position with more expensive gas than the time supposed
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember today's date 19th Feb, 2021. BTC crossed $1 trillion marketcap on: February 20, 2021, 08:36:54 AM
The position of bitcoin as SOV has grown with massive adoption and confidence from holders. We keep seeing large acquisition from more wealthy names and individuals. We expect as the marketcap crosses trillion we should see other coins join in that size of figure in the year. This size of fund attracts countries and capitalists around the world to take position like their counterparts before they miss out.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont stay in crypto too long on: February 20, 2021, 08:29:59 AM
Crypto is ruled soon by sec and goverment its not goodw

Make your cash and get out of crypto
Pepple dont like regulated things fuck rules and regulations crypto is freedom if the goverment start fuck woth our bitcoins and crypto then its not good

We stay for using cash

People were saying same thing in few years back when bitcoin price drop from 20K$ but those who hold bitcoin get profit now when bitcoin cross 50k$. One advice i would give you guys is that hold your bitcoins when price drops and when price is high sell your coins and make physical investment.

The advice is really very good! Grin But only a few people know how to use it... The psychology of the crowd... I am sure that very few people who bought bitcoins last March by 4K and even less who hold it up to 50K and will continue to hold it further! Wink
I have seen people been in crypto for 10 good years, not passively but actively, as traders, miners, developers etc without any other engagements. However, cryptocurrency create time for vacation that won't affect your position. This applies to other jobs. It is important to understand any position we take in the space and maximize but I still feel this can go on for life we might have to diversify or create a better use of the coins.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the price of BNB will go above $ 300? on: February 18, 2021, 08:00:49 PM
BNB/BSC is facing adoption to swap most projects to deal with the high gas fee of ethereum. It is still a young proposal and somehow emergent in the space to deal with the grumbling/challenges, if the execution succeed for some projects before the end of the year and ethereum didn't savage the situation early. BNB and DOT may enjoy from the predicament of ethereum with price increase.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: Economist predicts demise of global central banks on: February 18, 2021, 07:51:06 PM
Interesting viewpoints given here.  I personally think this is a pretty much nonsense and that the Central Banks aren't going anywhere anytime soon. I also am not sure Central Banks are really all that concerned about cryptocurrencies. As of right now cryptocurrencies are used by a very minute amount of people and that likely won't change anytime soon.

We might feel cryptocurrency adoption is still small with the world population but the growth has been massive over the years, even at more than 5% growth per annum. The only attractive part of cryptocurrency in the stable coin, If the stable coin can be sanitized for fraud and Government can introduce coins within their control, it could form a fraction of central bank financial system.
