641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Code is law. on: July 08, 2017, 02:52:53 AM
This is an another Conspiracy and it is so hard to believe nowadays because almost all of the things that we see in the internet seems true, we believe at first sight most of the time in this internet thing unless you already learned your lessons not to.

Quote
When the rules are constantly being altered and manipulated in favor of western interests, then you can understand why eastern miners would carry out an attack such as the one that brought down the twin towers on 9/11. Mutually-assured destruction is a last resort for enslaved and exploited populations. (i.e. "If you're going to force me to lose, then I'm going to take you down as well.")

What can we do about this?

For me there is no 100% thing as long as you are not there when it happened because every individual can make their own story to make them good in the eyes of others because it is a human nature that we have a wide imagination to make it believable.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 Interesting Points from Jihan Wu Future of Bitcoin Speech on: July 07, 2017, 06:26:32 PM
The reason why bitcoin has missed these innovations is because some bitcoiners, trash new innovations by always calling them scammy or leveling other judgmental critiques. Getting the community outside of the follower mentality and convincing them to accept the possibility of innovation through multiple implementations will provide the network and ecosystem with the room to grow and thrive.

I am totally agreeing with this statement.

Many of Bitcoin enthusiast(pioneers), Miners, Developers, Users etc. are too afraid of changes even though it is for a common good(not all of course).

I know that many of us is skeptical about things that is new but other people tend to pretend to be concern just for the sake of their own, what I mean is the political side behind the Bitcoin's growth because many speakers or with positions make themselves or acting like they are in charge and they know what will happen if they implement this or that and at the end there is no better solutions that is being implemented.

I Think this is the downside of being decentralized.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Stake? on: July 07, 2017, 04:59:53 AM
For my simplest explanation about this 'Stake'

It is your fair share in a specific bounty program campaign and each campaign does have a formula about giving out their fair share at least before doing the said campaign. You didn't need to invest to get a stake you just need to participate.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block size isn't important on: July 07, 2017, 04:51:26 AM
Block size is important and it is the dilemma that bitcoin transactions is having right now and that were the developers is making improvements on, in upgrading for much bigger block size to cope up for faster and cheaper transactions again.

Each block of bitcoin contains 1MB of data, meaning that the block size of bitcoin is 1 megabyte. This means that there is a limit to how many transactions can fit in Bitcoin's blocks. And with this issue being said I think most of against this change is the small time miners because getting a larger size requires another good hardware to mine upgraded block size.

If we don't embrace the changes that's the only intention is for good then Bitcoin's future is in jeopardy. It's either we change or other will do it for us.
Changes is inevitable though.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: "Confirmations" question, please help on: July 07, 2017, 03:15:03 AM
That it is impossible that your are seeing a certain amount of number of your confirmations and they didn't see it on their part because once you receieve 1 confirmation other confirmations will easily follows up.

You can't cheat the blockchain though what is there is there and what you see there is for other people to see also or maybe they have a waiting period for their bitcoin receiving payments for them to release a certain product.
646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: July 06, 2017, 08:15:48 PM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

It seems that you already know the answer and you already answered your own question but just like to add up that many other crypto currency that is worth using for aside from bitcoin it's just bitcoin is the pioneer in this crypto currency world that is why it is so mainstream and it is the trademark of digital currency.

Many other coins offer more a lot of choices than bitcoin and much more cheaper and faster in sending transactions and there are also a lot of trust worthy crypto coins not only btc and doge.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an altcoin on: July 06, 2017, 07:10:09 PM
Bitcoin may become altcoin, maybe, if it goes 2nd place in crypto currencies market cap. Because is it Bitcoin the first crypto currency that has been created so what in the earth that Bitcoin will become an altcoin.

From the word itself AltCoin meaning 'Alternative Coin' serving as an alternative to a one specific 'main' coin then that's it all about no more question about Bitcoin being the main of all crypto coins out there nonetheless in become 2nd.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Toxic Blockstream/Core/Segwit are done. on: July 06, 2017, 06:15:30 PM
To the people that blocking or hating the Segwit for being enable is BS why are they so afraid or thinking so negatively that this will bring down or worsen the future of Bitcoin but we all know that this change is for the good and nothing but good.

All I see here is that it is much more very political sided to the one that opposes this changes because they are maybe benefiting a big amount of profit in the current Bitcoins scaling.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 August 2017, Does everyone think it is effect to bitcoin price or not? on: July 06, 2017, 03:56:54 PM
Maybe yes or maybe no, because I think if Bitcoin crashes and goes having a LeftFork and RightFork like with 'ETH and ETHClassic' that splits into two it will devalue the other split and maybe downtrend also the other one and the coping up process of the price will take time again.

And maybe when everything goes smoothly at what Bitcoin developers and users wishes then it will boom the price up to $5000 in my perspective because having a patch or changes that has no bug means a successful transition that could lead positive effect to the whole community and will surely boots their confidence for another milestone.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: July 05, 2017, 11:40:52 PM
Bitcoin is a criminal's paradise in terms of storing their money if you want to say it as that but criminality is all around the world in all things so Bitcoin is not exempted in criminal works though, in every each one of the fiat currency that exist today is being use by bad and good people so what is the difference.

Just accept the fact that it is evil if you use it as one, it depends on how responsible you will use your Bitcoin in your life and other else's life.

653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billions stolen from South Korean Bitcoin exchange on: July 05, 2017, 01:34:49 AM
With this being happened the investor or korean people that is investing and trading with Bitcoin will halt I think because they will lose confidence with this hacking incident even though the company will refund the losses.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MOST COMMMON METHODS HACKERS AND SPAMMERS USE TO STEAL BITCOINS on: July 04, 2017, 10:29:18 PM
For our own protection, can everyone discuss HOW HACKERS AND SCAMMMERS STEAL BITCOIN

These tips we can all use to stay safe and not get ripped off.

Here is my #1 tip for NEVER getting bitcoins stolen.

1. NEVER TRUST ANYONE OR ANY WEBSITE

I recently found out a way and stole 7.5 bitcoin. (I'm no proud of it, I just am a broke mexican).

Why are you still asking for method for hackers and spammers to get rid of others bitcoin if you already made an attempt if it is really true.

655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is working fine! No change needed! on: July 04, 2017, 10:04:44 PM
Bitcoin has proven, that it is works fine, even through times of different attack modes (FUD, spam, patenting, +, XT, RV, CW etc). I don't think we have a pressure to raise the blocksize or to force the mass adaption. We don't need no SegWit to make Bitcoin great again, because it is already. Give this baby time to grow, folks.

No it's not and you know it for yourself maybe it is fine when it comes for its value but the transactions fees and delays is not good about it because one of the trademark of Bitcoin is it can send payment worldwide within a minutes and low cost of transaction fees.

You said that Bitcoin has survive different attacks because the devs is keep on changing something to protect it from any malicious attacks so why you don't want it to adopt to SegWit, if we stick to old and not reliable method then we are not moving forward anymore.

If you believe that Bitcoin is strong and will survive whatever happens then trust this one because this is for good and nothing else.
656  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: when I invest in genesis-mining on: July 04, 2017, 09:21:07 PM
Hi guys, I wanted to know when I invest in genesis-mining, what is the benefit ? and what the difference between trading bitcoin " Forex" and Mining
Because want to make good  profit without risky .

Genesis mining is investing of your crypto coins in exchange for their mining power in hashes(I really don't know if it's really true to what they are claiming) and they are running for how many years now, I think most of the genesis mining investor is really taking a profit with their referrals. If you want to know what is the benefit in investing in genesis mining then you must go to their website and know about it.

the difference of crypto currency trading and mining is that in trading you must be well knowledgable to avoid massive losses in your investment while in mining you are just waiting for your hardware to do the hardwork for you but long term return of investment nowadays.
657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: July 04, 2017, 07:15:41 PM
Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

When I am new at trading crypto currency I am easily panic when my coins suddenly drops of a 5 percentage then I will panic sell and after an hour it goes high again and even higher then I am so down that time because I feel so unlucky but when time comes after you experience so many of it you will learned from it and you will be more patient and your panic attacks will be no more hindrance to you.
658  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex "Awaiting Approval" Withdrawals on: July 04, 2017, 06:22:33 PM
I'm in this situation too. No way to get my money out of the platform. Ironically some people still can withdraw in minutes. I don't understand why.

Just wait for it and be patient it will not be instant withdrawal but would not take you 1 hour of waiting. Or else you set you poloniex account to verify first to your email so the transaction will go through and to be completed.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchange for day trade? on: July 04, 2017, 05:32:24 PM
Almost all of the legit Exchanges now in crypto currency is best for trading its just what coin is you are trading because in Poloniex they listed only those coins that is active and have enough volume within unless they will be delisted just unlike to other Exchanges that even though a coin is almost dead they still listed it so there is a pump and dump among thos Exchanges so it is up to you who will you choose.
660  Economy / Economics / Re: Reliable comparison between mining vs. buying and holding on: July 04, 2017, 04:42:39 PM
I think it is more convenient to buy bitcoin instead of mining nowadays because it is so simple that when you buy a hardware for you to mine the return of investment is so long or even no at all.

Instead of investing a $1k in mining then bought it with Bitcoin now and wait just like what will you do in mining but in holding bitcoin you don't need to spend electricity cost and maintaining cost.
