Litecoin successfully activated Segregated Witness on the network months ago. Interestingly enough, the Litecoin Core client doesnt generate SegWit transactions by default. One would expect this to have changed by now, yet it hasnt for some unknown reason. This begs the question if there are any SegWit transactions on the Ltiecoin network to date. The LTC community was quite pleased when all mining pools came together to activate SegWit. After all, this scaling solution and malleability fix is quite important. Bitcoin users saw this as a way to test the scaling solution and draw their own conclusions. However, it seems things are not exactly going the way as planned. More specifically, Litecoin Core clients cant generate SegWit transactions by default in release 0.13.2. Considering how this is the latest stable release, it poses a big problem. Litecoin Core and SegWit Integration While it is known a future version of Litecoin Core will solve this problem, some questions linger. Having SegWit activated on the network, but not in the Core client is very strange. After all, the goal is to test this solution thoroughly before it is activated on the Bitcoin mainnet. So far, it seems very little active testing has been done. That is quite problematic, considering many people Litecoin can overtake Bitcoin if the latter hits a snag when activating SegWit. Then again, this scaling proposal still remains largely untested on a live network to this very day. It is important to keep in mind the current Litecoin Core client does support SegWit. However, accessing this feature requires a fair bit of tinkering. Having a default option would make much more sense, but well need to wait for the next release to see that happen. Saying how Litecoin has proven SegWit is safe is definitely not correct at this stage. Once this protocol powers all network transactions, we can start drawing conclusions. Until then, there is no reason to think otherwise. Additionally, it doesnt mean there are no Litecoin SegWit transactions either. One Reddit user posted a spreadsheet of information regarding these transactions. It appears the overall number is still relatively small, even though things are picking up a bit as of late. One particular network bloc on July 11th even saw 100 SegWit transactions. That is quite a significant boost compared to a month or so ago. Segregated Witness usage is not as widespread within Litecoin as people would think. That said, things are evolving in the right direction, which is good to see. With a successful month-long trial period concluded, it has now been announced that users of Athena can purchase and send litecoin in seven operating states at all 43 ATMs. All Athena ATMs will now sell both bitcoin and litecoin. At the current time, however, the Athena online wallet is still bitcoin-only. Though, users can send LTC to the litecoin wallet address of the person or website they wish to pay from any ATM. |

Guys guys guys I need to admit something. Waves surpassed ripple on my top scamlist and considering all other scamcoins being out there I must admit that ripple doesn't come second as well. I still believe ripple has no place in the cryptocurrency world although they are trying to solve a real world bank problem. It's still useless to have a publicaly traded token..a speculative asset, which the banks, like the serious banks, will never accept. Also the whole idea of using public blockchain with a flawed consensus model is really not needed for a central infrastructure like ripple. It needs to be centralized for the function it has for banks. So still for me the ripples are there to fund other activities of the company developing something that has nothing to do with the ripple token itself as a publicaly traded speculative security.

What or who decides if DGB hits the Chinese and Korean market? As i look at many coins i see very high volumes (100 - 200 million per day) of trading per coin at those markets....
And it looks natural to me that the coin will only come out stronger if it hits those markets...

what are you talking about - "print money themselves"? judging by your post count (and everything else you've said), i'm going to assume you lack an understanding of ripple as a company and what's actually happening in general. please do more research before stating bogus claims.
No I do not understand. But I can code and I have a programmers view on things. And ripple has centralized servers that for sure not run the open source software. Exchanges as of my understanding have just a wallet like everybody else and do issue IOUs. So why should a exchange be able to stop Ripple from printing themselves money? If that open source software would work everybody could just take it, improve it and go to banks and say I'm the better ripple. A company that money with his stuff will not open source it's code. Linux Torvalds never took money for Linux as far as I know. I don't know why you cant see the problem here. I am not an IT but i am asking myself - If you are correct why many Japanese banks are willing to use RIPPLE (also trying to expand in China and South Korea) - are they so stupid to loose money which they are invested. Furthermore, XRP is not bitcoin and cannot be mined. Please stop posting things and phrases which you cannot back up. The truth about cryptocurrency is <1% has any clue of whats going on there. It's the perfect place for marketing-scams (fact) for system that do not work. I'll stop posting anyway (not because you said ), but I continue reading. Why do you believe Ripple will rise?
First time i get in touch with this coin more than see it on listings.
For the most part, some of us don't believe XRP because they don't know anything about it and there are just a lot of tokens which are promoted more and come popular than Ripple which is why its ignored even when tis technology are better. Now that banks has put more attention to it, soon users will soon invest on xrp. |

I have faith in this project. Since i dont know who is behind it, i'm worry, but for majority of investors i think some more transparency is needed. Also some news about the project should be released on BTC related news sites, so more people would know about it.
