641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Inactive dead coins awareness on: November 09, 2018, 10:33:04 PM
i think it's important to protect new cryptocurrency fans on some information like dead and inactive coins as every day new coins are pumping into blockchain market.
here this link will help you identify many dead and inactive coins, so you can avoid being losing your funds https://deadcoins.com and anyone have more to be added can let us know.
It is always important to have up to date information about what is happening in the market so this could be useful for some people but it is very easy to see that a coin is completely dead if you take the time to look at the volume of the coin, if you see a coin with very low volume or with no volume at all then you know that coin is not traded by people and that no one is using it for anything so I really cannot see the point of a website like that.
642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: November 09, 2018, 10:21:41 PM
make no mistake, the news story can affect the rise or down the price of Bitcoin, see when there is news that China or another country banned Bitcoin, then the news directly caused the price of Bitcoin to crash. so, trade based on news is important too...
But only a very limited amount of news can do something like that, many are trying to trading news and they are trying to guess in which way the market is going to move with an insignificant news, and that is not the way to do it, so while trading the news can be effective under some circumstances, it is very difficult to predict what the price is going to do with the news, sometimes the market doesn't move or even moves in the direction opposite to what you expected.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc? on: November 09, 2018, 05:47:52 PM
It depends on my condition at that time. If I don't need cash in that very hurry up time, I will definitely exchange our coins with the Bitcoin. BTC will make us have the great investment. We can get the profits from the BTC. However this decision will give you risks, too. You may lose your money because of dropped BTC price. So, it will depend on your decision. I myself will turn it to BTC first.
I like to look at the conditions of the market to tell me what to do, if the market of cryptocurrencies is going up at the time you want to sell your coins it could be a good idea to keep holding your altcoins because as we know altcoins grow faster than bitcoin, but when the market is going down then I try to determine what can be more advantageous to me, but since I support the market of cryptocurrencies then most of the time I convert my altcoins to bitcoin.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD on: November 09, 2018, 05:25:43 PM
it is in the human nature to become very greedy, speacially in money.  the more the merrier.  so that explains why people mostly died with regrets of being too busy with money making that they often left their family out.

in crypto, it is also greed that came into factor that leads many of us to just hold, and hoping for bigger returns.  we must be contented with what we have earned.  first, we must set our goal, lets say we wanted to earn 30%.  when we reached that goal, we should stop.  this is quite hard to follow, but we need to.
It is true that humans are greedy by nature but you are not taking into account the nature of cryptocurrencies, why you should settle for 30% in profits when we know that you can earn a lot more than that, it doesn't make sense to me especially since I know that I can hold my coins despite everything that happens, I didn't sold my coins at 20000 simply because I did not thought it was a good business, in a decade that price will be seen as a bargain.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will More Financial Freedom on a Global Scale Influence Geo-Politics? on: November 07, 2018, 08:13:36 PM
The development of cryptocurrency will inevitably lead to more economic freedom, and subsequently, more financial freedom among individuals. Places where people never would've even had a chance at a decent life are now no longer sentenced to lives ridden with poverty.

However, this will definitely shake up the global economic arena.

People will be relocating to places to avoid taxes (such as Puerto Rico). http://theconversation.com/bitcoin-rich-kids-in-puerto-rico-crypto-utopia-or-crypto-colonialism-91527

Millions of citizens who have found wealth in poorer countries will be demanding high-quality goods and services, meaning they will become even more valuable and their prices will go up.

Is this sustainable?

Even if bitcoin was adopted by the majority of the population it doesn't seem to me as if it is going to have an effect as big as most people are predicting, tax evasion is something that is incredibly common among the rich, if anything the only change that bitcoin is going to bring is that now even middle class people could use a tool like cryptocurrencies to try to do the same thing, this can be dangerous for the government because that means that the taxes they get out of people will get lower and they will need to find a way to avoid this or to try to survive with lesser taxes.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: current situation of cryptocurrency for 2018 on: November 07, 2018, 07:57:22 PM
If you know the nature of crypto, there is nothing to be worried about. In 2018, cryptocurrencies, and especially bitcoin, show the lowest volatility and don’t fall below a certain price. Isn’t stability exactly what everybody wants from them? Perhaps, bull run won’t come in 2018. However, the launch of Bakkt platform in December this year will probably attract institutional investors. The end of 2018 will be interesting and 2019 has to be fruitful for crypto.
Not really, it is true that many people wanted stability in the price of bitcoin but they did not wanted the stability to be at 6000 they were looking for stability of the price at 20000 but if we take into account how we reached that price it was impossible for the price to remain stable at those levels, also there are many people that only look at bitcoin as a way to make money, so they are not looking for stability rather they are looking for huge volatility.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strict rules in Bounties, is it needed? on: November 07, 2018, 05:15:12 PM
Ofcourse it is!

Nowadays, I notice most of bounties have strick rules, making bounties more organize and I like that Bounty Manager requesting Proof of Authentication to limit scammer .

It's been one of major mistakes of bounty hunter like me not to read rules and requirements of each bounties ending up not getting stakes so it's very important to read and understand each rules to ensure that we're doing the right thing and not wasting our time and effort.

Without a doubt strict rules are necessary for bounties because we have seen many people trying to abuse them, but I do not really think that it is a good idea to force bounty hunters to go through know your customer policies to try to ensure that they are not cheating the campaign because that defeats the purpose of cryptocurrencies, I also think that we need more strict rules for bounty campaigns themselves because as we know most are scamming their bounty hunters.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake ico and bounty on: November 07, 2018, 04:50:56 PM
I still don't understand why people are investing in ico these days...it is dangerous and it is not like 2017 anymore.
You answered your own question, people are investing in icos because they are not realizing that it is not 2017 anymore and they are trying a strategy that worked very well in the past but that is not working at the moment those people will need to adjust their strategy to account for the current problems that the ico market is facing or they will have to risk losing all their money by investing in icos trying to get the profits that you could get in the past year something that is very unlikely.
649  Economy / Economics / Re: how to help people who have problem economic on: November 06, 2018, 10:17:51 PM
hello member of the bitcoin forum, Smiley
I'm confused and looking for answers about how to help people who are having economic problems,

are there any of us in this forum who have a good heart to help the economy of fellow human beings,

can opening new jobs reduce unemployment and improve the economy?
If what you're thinking is that bitcoin is going to help create new jobs you are right, but bitcoin is also going to help to destroy many jobs and I'm not so sure that the amount of jobs that are going to be created are going to be more than the ones that are going to be destroyed, just think about it if cryptocurrencies become a successful as many in the forum are thinking then it is entirely possible that many of the jobs that banks offer are going to disappear and those people are not going to find any job like that in the market of cryptocurrencies.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking kills the cryptocurrency market on: November 06, 2018, 09:53:52 PM
Yes, hacking wallets, accounts is a big obstacle for users of cryptocurrency. Hackers saw that there are large sums of money and constantly attack. I read somewhere that this year alone, people lost about a billion dollars because of hacker attacks and fraud in the ICO.
Although they constantly write that cryptocurrency is completely safe, I do not think so.
There is nothing in this world that is completely safe, the banks are using the very same cryptography to secure their transactions and yet there are still hacks going on as well in the fiat system, what happens is that the cryptography is not being hacked, what it's hacked are the users behind the wallets or the bank accounts, which means that a tool is as good as the one that is wielding it, so you need to try to learn as much as you can about cryptocurrencies so you can secure your coins effectively.
651  Economy / Economics / Re: The significance of bitcoin decentralization on: November 06, 2018, 09:15:06 PM
Decentraliziation bring independence to the market. People want to reduce cost of payment and transactions of money, they had better use blockchain technology.   The fact that everyone suffer if the economy gets down. But we all know that governments and mostly banks are the real causes of it, even though they do nothing about it except trying to save theirselves.
That is what the people want but what it is what the banks want? Do you really think that they want the transaction costs that they charge you to be cheaper than what they charge today? Of course not, they want to charge as much money as they are capable and bitcoin is going to make their life harder because unlike them the blockchain is many times more efficient, so they have three choices, to become as efficient as bitcoin, to hope that people keep using their services despite the cost or to try to ban cryptocurrencies.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How Far are we from the bull run on: November 06, 2018, 08:55:52 PM
Its been about 8 month since we are in bloodbath. market has not shown any signs of recovery till yet. what do you think that what december will bring to us.. ?

If you are going to hold your coins for the long term then the real question is if it does matter at all when the bull market is going to come? Because it doesn't matter if it takes a few months or a few years you are still going to be here holding your coins, that is why I do not get that worried about when the next bull market is going to happen, only the speculators care about such a thing and that is because they are trading so much that they cannot sustain their losses for long and they need a bull market to recover their losses.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no need to panic!!!!! on: November 06, 2018, 08:42:53 PM
It's very normal in cryptocurrency when market goes down and just keep calm and buy more. Even though in this year market bleeding really-really bad and everyone scared about their investment, but trust me next year will be better, just keep hodl.
While buying more cryptocurrencies when the price is very low makes complete sense it is not a strategy that someone that is in panic can apply precisely because of that panic, you need to understand that those that are in a state of panic are not thinking logically and are going to do everything they can to get away from that pain even if that means selling their coins for a terrible price and incurring losses that are going to be impossible to recover for them.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: November 03, 2018, 09:21:46 PM
This sounds good in theory, but I think it would be very hard for -some- people to disconnect from the notion that they gamble to win money.
The thing with addiction is that it kind of creeps up on you, without you noticing it at first.

So, you could very well be lying to yourself about 'only doing it for fun', while you're still getting addicted slowly.

A better tactic might be to severely limit the amount of time you spend on gambling, by sheer willpower alone.
When you see that you cannot do that, you can be pretty sure that you would be prone to becoming addicted in the future.

This happens with all the addictions as well, how many people enjoy doing recreational drugs and they say to themselves that they are doing it only for the fun and then months later you find out that they are completely addicted, so for those that cannot control their gambling it is better they do not gamble at all or they could risk deceiving themselves and realizing too late that what they thought was a way to get some fun has become their whole lives.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: What can be done to make bitcoin stable? on: November 03, 2018, 09:10:53 PM
like that it's a bad idea, where the only way to make Bitcoin prices stable is to make bitcoin a centralized digital currency with total supply adjusting the incoming and outgoing FIAT currency
this is very risky, because everyone also really wants to monopolize bitcoin, even if only in the imagination
There is no point to that stability if bitcoin is transformed into a version of fiat, if that happened I will move immediately to another coin that did not went through that transformation, probably my first choice will be litecoin since it is very similar to bitcoin but if it was transformed as well I will probably get out of the market and wait until a coin emerges as the new leader of the market, but that scenario is impossible since the developers will never agree to something like that.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we will see $50k Bitcoin end of year on: November 03, 2018, 05:44:31 PM
IMO, that's an unrealistic value for bitcoin this year because bitcoin is having a hard times this year. I do believe that it can't even reach the 20,000$ as bitcoin remained stuck in the 6,000$ mark. Maybe this year is just bitcoin's starting point to its flight again to the moon next year or this coming 2020.
This is what I think it will happen, the current price that we are seeing is going to be the base price for a long time but the good news is this is going to be the floor from which the price of bitcoin will skyrocket again in the future, so all of those waiting for that to happen need to be very patient because it is unlikely that such a big movement will happen soon and they need to be content of just holding their coins for the time being.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no need to panic!!!!! on: November 03, 2018, 05:14:31 PM
Panic will just make you think weak and it can also be a reason why you will lost some of your investment because once you get panicked, you might lose your interest in crypto and you will just sell your crypto holdings very cheap too.
Letting panic get control of your actions is one of the worst things that a trader or an investor can do, because at that point you will not have your reason taking the decisions but your emotions and we know that people take terrible decisions when they let their emotions do the thinking, this is one of the reasons of why in many books about trading gives you the advice that if you notice that is happening then you need to take some time off the markets to recover your calm.
658  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin stability on: November 03, 2018, 04:55:00 PM
I am eager to know how do politic situations particular countries affect the Bitcoin stability, is ti really affecting Bitcoin. As we know that Bitcoin is decentralized of blockchain technology and I think that it will not be affected by politic issues of certain states. In other side, politics is affecting of economic stability. It potentially contributes to break or strengthen the economic in many countries. I would like to know other opinions.
The political situation in a country is not going to affect bitcoin in any major way at all but it can affect the way bitcoin is perceived in that country, for example when there is political instability most of the time this comes with economic instability, so some people may see in bitcoin and in cryptocurrencies a way to protect themselves of that instability and we have seen that happen in some countries like Venezuela and the government may see this and then then try to ban it.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC bear market over????? on: October 31, 2018, 08:01:44 PM
We all are still waiting for BTC bear market to be over. Most likely the SEC ETF approval will be the news to end it. Could happen this month.

I suppose that could be a good news for BTC, ETH, and other altcoins to regain again its price from this year many falls. For now, I am in investing unto many new altcoins that have the potential to grow if the ETF has been approved.
But we need to ask ourselves why the SEC would do that? Why they will approve an ETF that is going to help bitcoin and the market of cryptocurrencies when the governments around the world see cryptocurrencies as a threat to the system they have created? It does not make sense to me, so I have stopped reading news about the ETF because I know we are not going to get approval no matter what we do so it is better to concentrate our efforts in stuff that we can actually influence.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc? on: October 31, 2018, 07:52:21 PM
If you are planning to enter the market again then without a doubt buying bitcoin is a better idea since it will allow you to buy altcoins again when the bull market reappears, but if you want to get out of the market and you have no plans of coming back then it makes sense to sell your altcoins fro dollars however it is very likely that if you do that you are going to regret your decision of not holding your coins because there is a very high probability the market is going to recover.
