641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins price at bull run on: October 19, 2019, 10:16:40 AM
I would say that in the next bull run XRP will be around 0.80 cents and LTC will be around $200. That is if there is a really strong bull run. If the bull run will be just like what took place within the current year when Bitcoin got out of the $3,000 price, XRP at 0.80 cents and LTC at $200 are already too high a speculation for them. But XRP will probably reach 0.50 cents and LTC $100. That is already a humble prediction for the next bull run.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Predicted to Dominate the Market in 2020 on: October 19, 2019, 09:44:47 AM
Well!! As you all know currently crypto is down, cryptocurrencies are not performing as expected. Moreover, various crypto influencers like Mcafee and others predicted particular coins as per their potential in the crypto market.

2020 is near.. knowing the top 10 cryptocurrencies in 2020 is very important which will benefit the traders to overcome problems.

What do you think?

2020 is already near. I can see nothing special in terms of changes of the top 10. For sure, it will be topped by Bitcoin and then followed by ETH and then XRP, and then followed by the current altcoins in their respective ranks. There might be changes in the 8th, 9th, and 10th ranks though and a little reshuffling of their ranks. Apart from these coins, I don't think there will be a very special occurrence to happen in the following year.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Crypto? on: October 19, 2019, 09:18:12 AM
Crypto is partly designed to counter the concept of bank, of middleman, or of third party and so I think it is not a good idea. Crypto is very personal in that you are holding what you truly own. This will be put into waste with the idea of creating a crypto bank. A crypto bank will make a decentralized currency centralized with a central storage of coins with a central caretaker, whom we could not trust to safe-keep our coins. Instead of cryptocurrency imitating the old system, let the old system imitate crypto.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China’s Digital Fiat is Not a Crypto ?? on: October 19, 2019, 08:51:53 AM
No, not a cryptocurrency of course. It is a digital currency but never a cryptocurrency. China's digital fiat is a fiat currency. It is still the old renminbi in new clothes. Nothing has changed except that instead of being represented and spent by way of paper bills and metal coins, it is already in digital codes. But the value, the system that rules it, and all the rest of the features are still fiat.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION IN THE UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES on: October 19, 2019, 08:26:05 AM
The world economy keeps crashing with many incidence of inflation. What is happening at the moment is  a clear indication of a world that has failed the minority. Although the underdeveloped countries could partly be blamed for the high inflation that exists in their respective economies. Would things turn around for good  if underdeveloped countries start to add value to their natural resources themselves without selling to the countries with good economy?

Most probably. But there are two possible scenarios, the host country, the one where the resources are found, will not be able to earn from it. Nor will they be able to develop or extract these resources because they probably do not have the capacity to do so. The second scenario is that the income of the host country will increase because of the high price they put to their resources but the poor people living in the country will remain poor while the rich will grow even richer. And the second scenario is more likely to occur.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation around the world and Bitcoin on: October 19, 2019, 07:59:06 AM
I think economic situation is getting worse and worse each day the whole global debt is increasing and is currently double of that of the GDP of the whole world. This means that our whole economy is nothing but debt. So this bubble will definitely burst one day.
When that happens I am still confused how people will be able to transact later? will move to old methods like barter or there will be a new currency that can give trust to many people to be used as a medium of exchange. maybe gold or silver

Gold and silver is possible. Or, as always possible with this fiat system, some unimaginable arrangements will be done like erasing all the debts as if nothing happened. The best thing that will happen is that cryptocurrency will take over and give the people the feel of using a real currency freely owned by them and cannot be seized from them by authorities.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ton has big problems? on: October 19, 2019, 05:02:56 AM
SEC did not satisfy the conditions proposed by Telegram to postpone the launch of the TON blockchain platform and the suspension of operations with the Gram digital currency for 5 months.

The SEC insists on a restraining order for the rest of the proceedings.

The first hearing will be held on October 24.

What will happen next?

TON has tons of problems. LOL. But this is only in the US since the country is really unfriendly to crypto right now. I can see that they are getting worse day by day. The SEC seems to be eyeing with extreme hatred existing and prospective crypto projects. With what they are doing right now, suing crypto companies and projects left and right, they are only driving development away from their jurisdiction.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your crypto before death? on: October 19, 2019, 04:00:37 AM
If at some point in time I come across death, how would I actually preserve my crypto for other family members to enjoy? I mean, this should be a concern to every crypto enthusiast since all the money they've earned over time could easily be lost without the ability to be recovered by someone else. The decentralized nature of crypto, leaves us responsible of protecting our own funds no matter what.

Which is why, I'm eager to know which are the best practices to preserve my cryptocurrency in case I die in the future? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I guess a piece of paper where everything is listed down detail by detail is enough. That would include wallets, private keys, passwords, pins, seeds, sites, and detailed instructions as to what steps to do to recover all of them or convert them into fiat. This would be easier if someone in the family is also familiar with Bitcoin or crypto. If not, the instructions should be as spoon-fed as possible to make sure not a single satoshi is wasted. Perhaps a detailed will is also good, which clearly assigns how much is for whom.
649  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Bank: If The Entire System Collapses, Gold Will Be Needed To Start Over on: October 19, 2019, 03:34:46 AM
If the main foundation of the fiat system, which is the central bank, everything about the system will fall down to the ground. Everything related to paper bills and metal coins, their values, their denominations, and so on will be nothing. And there is going to be much confusion about which should take its place as a form of payment. Everything will go back to the good old days in which only valuable metals such as gold, silver, copper will be accepted. We will be going in that direction. After all, everyone agrees that such metals are valuable.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Bitcoin eth, ltc and others on: October 19, 2019, 03:09:31 AM
Its been discussed here in the forum sometime and I also said I don't like that idea.

The idea of cryptocurrencies is decentralized and with paper money, that will not be decentralized.

I mean, it is great seeing someone using those paper money but I don't think people would like anyone seeing paying and bringing this money in their wallets. Digital currencies with physical representation ia not digital for me.

Absolutely. You call it digital currency and yet you are carrying a physical representation. What is that? That is like we did not make progress at all. We are trying to do away with physical money and shift into the digital way and yet here we are trying to come up with a traditional way of doing things.

If and when there is a paper Bitcoin, ETH, LTC, and others, there would also be like the central bank where these paper bills are to be printed. We are not making a single step away from what is happening with the current fiat system of today if that is the case.
651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex is leaving Circle - Discussion on: October 19, 2019, 02:42:28 AM
What I read is that Poloniex is already leaving the US market. I guess some restrictions are already applying to this old exchange that is why they are forced to say good bye to their US customers. They might have failed to earn the nods of the powerful regulators in the country. They are already releasing statements that US citizens are not anymore allowed to create accounts and trade on the site. They are only allowed to withdraw their assets. Otherwise, Poloniex is still operating actively.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Ether Thieves - Ethereum based multiplayer game on: October 19, 2019, 02:17:39 AM
Hi all! I'm developing Ether Thieves, a game powered by Ethereum, and would love to have your feedback about it:

https://etherthieves.com

At this point it's in the Ropsten test network so you can play with test(fake) Ether.

Have fun!

Why don't you try to present this in a more detailed and attractive manner? I can see that somebody here has already tried your game and had fun I assume. Well, since this is still in its infancy stage, so I guess you still have more interesting in store for us. I am thinking of an ANN-like presentation of your project, complete with features in a nice graphic presentation.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL Bounty campaigns Ever Keep to their Rules and Regulations on: October 19, 2019, 01:51:21 AM
You cannot expect an ideal environment in the bounty section. There will always be cheats, scams, and poorly-managed projects, managers, and rules. That is always the case in that section. Rules are changed all of a sudden, payments not paid or extended, bounty campaigns extended indefinitely, bounty reward amount changed, KYC suddenly implemented, spreadsheets not updated for weeks and months, and countless more problems.
654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone here that has referrals on any exchange? on: October 18, 2019, 02:19:06 PM
Im trying to bring some referrals under my on 3 exchanges at the moment, is anyone doing this? did you made any $$?

Even if I have accounts on many exchanges I've never bothered asking for referrals. I don't see the self benefit of this and if you really want to earn in trading you will do it yourself and not depend on your invites from your referral. I never heard of someone that earned some decent amount from his referral in an exchange.

But if you are referring a whale who do daily trades with huge amount, you will also be earning nice. I have used referrals but since all of them are only trading sometimes or even seldom, I am not earning much from them. I do not even notice whether I made an earning or not. So if you are only referring users who are just like you, trying to earn by way of referrals, that is not worth it. But if there is a one-time payment for every referral then that is a clear earning for you. These are usually low reward though.
655  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cat.ex exchange? on: October 18, 2019, 01:45:25 PM
Hello what are your experience with Cat.ex exchange? Any insight information about their real volume and are the trading competitions legit?

I haven't tried Cat.ex exchange yet and will probably not try it very soon because that is another exchange which is doubtful for me. I mean they do not have a bad reputation over this forum such as scam accusation, slow or no support, not being able to withdraw or held token or coin, and so on, but their 24-hour volume of $434,859,514 USD or equivalent to 54,631BTC is already an indication that they are not being honest. I don't believe such figures in an unknown exchange like cat.ex.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Brave browser ! For anti malware and blocking ads on: October 18, 2019, 01:29:17 PM
I always used Google Chrome for browsing, but about 3 months ago someone recommended Brave browser. Then I tried to use
to date. And apparently it is very satisfying, I feel that browsing is faster and certainly safer than the browser another because
it is equipped with anti-malware and blocking ads. What makes me most happy is that there are rewards in Brave Browser, that is
you can generate Basic Attention Token (BAT) tokens from watching ads. It's amazing right, please try it yourself if you don't believe it.

Brave browser has a lot to offer. Blocking ads is already a great breather for a lot of internet users. We all know how we are choked up with all these useless ads popping out from everywhere. That is enough reason for shifting to Brave. And then anti-malware is another great addition. And on top of that they are also giving away free BAT tokens for watching ads. This project is working quite well and consistently. They are one of the old projects but are still towering over new projects.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin is the most reliable? on: October 18, 2019, 01:04:24 PM
Hello,

I have never really used stablecoins so far, my question simple:

Which stablecoin is the real stablecoin and can be trusted? USDT always seemed like an option but they had that issue when the price suddenly dropped down to 0.85, which makes me trust them less.

Is there a stablecoin to which you can put your funds and be sure that you will get back what you put? (I know it cannot be 100% guarantee, but which according to your opinion is the best?)

USDT is still the most reliable of all stablecoins. It will fall from $1 every once in a short while but it will also get back very quickly. It would even surpass $1 with a cent or two sometimes. The best thing about USDT is that it is being listed on majority and most, if not all, of the major exchanges. Aside from that, most of these exchanges are offering USDT pairs with so many coins. USDT offers convenience over other stablecoins.
658  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: People Empowerment on: October 18, 2019, 12:39:33 PM
I can only hope that most of the members of the Bitcoin community or of the larger cryptocurrency community joined the bandwagon because of these ideas. My hunch however is that more than half of the members of these large communities around the world are joining these communities for the sake of money or of profit. They seem not to care about these principles really. All they are thinking is that there is money here. All they need to do is buy and wait and the profit will be coming.

This in itself is already a big obstacle for the growth of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin controls people, I agree that many people tried bitcoin just gain a lot of money. They joined communities make them as their source of profit so that they will become richer. That's not the main purpose of the bitcoin. They don't consider the goals of cryptocurrency such as easy transaction and payments. They just focus on making money. They don't care about the goals, they just about their success.

Bitcoin controls people as people control Bitcoin. Funny but that appears to be true to a certain extent. It is actually both, Bitcoin must be appreciated the way it is and the way it should be, but most are still stuck to appreciating Bitcoin as a source of money. But this will eventually change as they mature in the Bitcoin world. They might sooner see the real message of the project. Bitcoin is multi-faceted after all.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra Just Got Its First Major Supporter in Congress on: October 18, 2019, 12:14:33 PM
It's going  to happen they have a lobby power since they have the funds and they have the resources they are now moving, because of the recent break away by some members of their group, they are going to do a lot of things and they will rally all the people that can make an impact on their project before their launch they coin, so we will see many more of this news.

As per review on what has been stated here, the Senator who supported this Libra project was expecting huge outcome for this project. Even if PayPal, eBay, Mercado Pago and Booking Holdings had quit on this project, it doesn't hinder them to push their motivations towards Facebook Libra. As the support goes strong, some sectors find it wasn't good to continue supporting Libra, but the situation goes break even due positive responses coming from government side; most specially Sen. Mike Rounds whose the one praises Libra.

One senator is not enough. If Libra makes a community of supporters even in the US congress I think they will likely push through with their project earlier. But if not, their 2020 planned launching is probably not going to happen. They are more than aware themselves that pushing through despite the warnings and objections of the US government will only lead them in a suicidal situation. They need to look at Telegram's project for example.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance increase Leverage! on: October 18, 2019, 11:00:13 AM
I really think you would get liquidated faster in binance compared to bitmex
Anyone noticed it? noticed it yesterday a $200 drop in the price will end me up losing my money that is only x20 but in bitmex i could use the X50 leverage.

Correct me if im wrong.

How so? A leverage of x50 is obviously much higher than x20. With a x50 leverage, your funds will drain faster as compared to x20 only. On the overall though, I think Binance will drain your money much faster than Bitmex if you are going to max it since OP is saying the new limit in Binance is x125 while Bitmex is only up x100.

But since OP is talking about futures, similar with Bakkt, is it totally the same with pure leverage trading?
