644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The usage of the "bits" denomination with bitcoin on: May 19, 2019, 11:55:37 AM
It doesn't matter how many alt-coins they bought if the value of it just keeps on decreasing.
Nope. Take a look at coinmarketcap. Alts are still rising with bitcoin as expected. As with BTC value, take a quick look at BNB and XRP's charts.

And just to be clear Sats and Bits are widely used .
Nope. Name a product/platform besides faucets, and Samourai wallet and LN wallets that actually uses sats and bits as default.
What I mean to say is that not all of the alt-coins are going to be pump and it wouldn't matter if they would buy a whole crypto or just do it partial.
Bits are being used in gambling sites like bustabit,
And as a crypto user we already know what sat's is so why would we even use or change how we use it like if you see BTC0.001 we would already know that it is 100k sats,
Why would we even need to change it to actually 100,000 sats this would just confuse the users .
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Climbing Up. on: May 19, 2019, 10:30:17 AM
Bitcoin has experience a huge drop and it happens so fast but now it looks like it is starting to climb up again.
The market has experience a correction and I think we could now move on and let the Bitcoin price continue to climb .
Bitcoin price increases like climbers who slowly rise to reach the top, sometimes down due to various factors. Bitcoin prices in a few weeks are certain to enter a bullish market which continues to push transactions until prices continue to rise.
When the price of bitcoin is USD3000, many bitcoin owners are in a difficult position, between wanting to maintain or sell. But now they are laughing because the price reaches USD 8000 and the potential for increase is still large because the purchase on the crypto market is still ongoing. The principle of economy, if the buyer is more than the seller, the price is ascertained to rise.
Yes the price has started to raise up again.
And I would just continue to hold it , The price seem's like it would continue to grow.
646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Complete Guide to Margin Trading for Beginners on: May 19, 2019, 09:33:57 AM
Nice guide it is really helpful and useful for us who doesn't know too much in trading,
I think I would spend sometime to study this margin trading and try it out on some trading simulator.
This is why this forum is one of the best source of knowledge when it comes to crypto currency.
647  Economy / Gambling / Re: BestBitcoinSlots.com | Free Games, Casino Reviews, & Slot Community News on: May 19, 2019, 09:07:30 AM
This kind of service is really great since we would have some review on the gambling sites and know if they are to be trusted or not,
And we would know if which site to avoid and which site to go .
This is really helpful for the new ones in crypto that are interested to gamble .
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Same thing happens to everyone who tries that! on: May 19, 2019, 08:19:01 AM
This message is to anyone who think being on a mission to kill Bitcoin is a "wise" decision. Use Craig Wright as a case study and compare it to the life he'd have if he were to focus on building his own platform and promoting it in his own way.

Secondly, take a look at all those so-called "Bitcoin killer coins" and look at their fate without Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the most loved asset in this ecosystem and so it's meaningless to try to make it your hunting mission. Together, Bitcoin lovers are stronger than anyone or any coin.

So next time you think about killing Bitcoin, remember you'll be "dead and forgotten" before you even start.

Have a nice evening!!!
Bitcoin was the first of its kind, the start of the future and its success was for a reason and the people that supported it are doing so because they believe in it, for me i think that all of the coins that came after bitcoin are just obvious copy cats that are trying to make profit and they promote them by giving false hopes and false dreams of being bitcoin killers and changing the crypto seance, and they all end up either being a pump and dump or a scam.
First of what? If you have done enough research you could say that it is the first successful crypto currency,
But there was many digital currency before Bitcoin and all of them fail and I think Satoshi Nakamoto use those failed product to make Bitcoin work.
Try to read this article and you would see that Bitcoin wasn't the first crypto currency .
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptocurrency#History
And also not all of the crypto that came after Bitcoin are copy cat because we also have different crypto that is why we have POW and POS ,
Every crypto have their different roles in the crypto community and for me not all of them wants to take over Bitcoin or kill it.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The usage of the "bits" denomination with bitcoin on: May 19, 2019, 08:00:39 AM
So I just recently remembered Jimmy Song's BIP Proposal: Utilization of bits denomination in 2017; and I wanted to hear Bitcointalk's opinions on this topic.

I think one of the main reasons why people like to buy in on other coins/tokens(e.g. XRP, XLM, TRX, ADA) instead of BTC is that their prices are only in the cents range to a few dollars, compared to bitcoin which is currently at the 4 digit range(and probably soon back to 5). It isn't implausible to think that a good number of people might have been turned away from bitcoin and instead bought in on other coins and tokens due to the fact that they couldn't buy one full bitcoin, while they could buy dozens, hundreds, or thousands of the other coins. Basically, unit bias.

What if "bits" was widely used instead? Or probably sats in the future. I honestly only see a positive impact. Do you think it would benefit bitcoin?

Link to Bitcoin units/denominations: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Units#Table_of_all_units

Topic will be self-moderated for obvious reasons.
It doesn't matter how many alt-coins they bought if the value of it just keeps on decreasing.
We all ready use Sat's or Bits to buy partial BTC and for me it is still a good investment rather than having so many whole alt-coin that just keep on dropping low .
And just to be clear Sats and Bits are widely used .
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Emotions: Highs and Lows of the Bull Runs on: May 19, 2019, 07:34:47 AM
Of course anyone would be happy when they see that their investment gain profit .
The only one's who would be disappointed is the people who didn't invest while the market was low and they could,
And the sad people would be the one's who believes in crypto but doesn't have enough money to invest.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exit Scam on: May 19, 2019, 07:19:01 AM
Always be careful on where you would invest your money and before you invest it make sure you made enough research,
If you are going to invest your money make sure to invest time too it wouldn't hurt to make sure that you are putting your money in the right team and right project .
As you can see there are so many scam project so choose wisely on who you would trust your money.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which new token has good potential for the future? on: May 19, 2019, 06:53:41 AM
When it comes to new token I always want to have a passive  income so I am looking for a new coin that shares dividend,
I am looking at EIO and other coin for mining but as of now I don't see any crypto that could be best for me.
I only have my eye on the old and trusted crypto .
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO FOR THE HOMELESS - DUNKIN DONUTS LIKES US TOO!!!! (discounted me too!) on: May 19, 2019, 06:32:45 AM

So I was able to successfully get the employees/manager of a dunkin donuts near my school to support my project. They were really down with the cause and even discounted me even though I insisted they didn't have to. It isn't much but I feel great about spreading the word. Big changes are coming! Thanks again for all the support!

http://cryptohomeless.home.blog for the newest updates.
Well it is great that there was a project that would use crypto for a good deed.
This is what we should support but I hope that all of the money that would be collected would all be used for the homeless.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: May 18, 2019, 11:54:12 PM
Nowadays many ICOs offer free coins, but we have two problems with this free coins, the first one the value of this coins will drop after start trading due to a lot have free coins willing to sell it, and the second they ask for your ID (KYC), and i think it is very risky to send your IDs to any one.
I like to participate in airdrops but when it comes to sending my ID that is where I would stop.
I wouldn't risk my personal data because of a penny or a worthless token.
If they really want to give it for free why would they even need to require a KYC?
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another proof that cloud mining is a scam on: May 18, 2019, 11:28:56 PM

I really don't understand, it's already 2019 and people are still believing that cloud mining is still one way to earn and the best way to invest your money??? *face-palm*..
Haven't they learn any lesson from the past ?
It has been 10 years and I couldn't believe that there are still who falls into this scam's.
If you really want to mine crypto then invest on your own mining rigs buy it and handle it on your own don't invest in this so called cloud mining scam.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming 60 minutes segment on the Pizza guy on: May 18, 2019, 11:00:59 PM
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/meet-the-man-who-spent-millions-worth-of-bitcoin-on-pizza-60-minutes-2019-05-16/

It will be 10 years from now, on May 22 that the Legendary Laszlo Hanyecz purchased Pizza worth 10K Bitcoins way back in 2009.

Quote
"That's $800 million," Cooper says. "You spent about $800 million on pizza?"

Hanyecz replies, "Well, if you look at today's exchange rate."

This interview would be aired on Sunday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
The guy is going to be a legend in the crypto industry he would be put down in history 😂 .
For sure he also manage to earn a huge money from crypto by now if he is still earning in crypto.
I wouldn't think that this guy would just leave crypto currency after making a huge mark in crypto community.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are regretting not encashing read this ' on: May 18, 2019, 10:44:29 PM
Yes patient is the key but we could also use the current event as a way to earn more.
Just think about of those who encash your Bitcoin when it was above the current price then invest that money again then you already gain more than just holding it.
We all have different methods on trading I am not saying that it would be effective because it is also risky.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you buy National Lottery tickets with Bitcoin in your country? on: May 18, 2019, 10:22:47 PM
I am just curious to know if you can buy lottery tickets for your own national lottery in your country. I am not referring to all these scam gambling sites with supposed "Provably Fair" lottery systems.

I bought some lottery tickets online and I was only presented with the old traditional payment options and I figured it is time for us to approach these Lottery operators, to ask for a Bitcoin payment option.  Wink

If enough people ask for this, they just might consider giving us that option to pay with bitcoins.  Grin  What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?
I don't really think that my country is already accepting online payment for lottery.
People still likes to go to their stall to buy or bet on their lucky numbers.
But I think it would be such a great idea if they would just let the people buy the ticket online.
659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 18, 2019, 09:58:19 PM
Well I always tell them that I am trading specially if my relatives ask me about my job.
If they think they could do better then why don't they try to prove it,
I wouldn't care about their life our what they think about me at least I am earning my money the right way I am not doing something illegal.
If they want to try it then let them so they would also know how hard it is to earn money in our way.
Most of them see's what we do as an easy task but they don't really know how hard it is.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not intended to be a stock. Blockchain has nothing to do with price on: May 18, 2019, 09:24:01 PM
Guys, Bitcoin is fundamentally flawed, we all know this yet we keep focusing on the price. Bitcoin was intended to be a p2p, cutting out the middle man, yet we treat it like a stock. If Bitcoin were to be a reporting company by god knows how, it'd have to file for reports, 10k's,  quarterly, anually, the whole 9 if you're familiar with the financial realm.
Bitcoin is not a fraud, it's the individuals (smart money/wall st) manipulating it for the greed of money.

Sad but true,Most of us see it as a stock and only use crypto as an investment.
They forget what it is made for and doesn't want to use it as a payment method.
And I agree Bitcoin isn't a fraud it is the person who use's it .
