- newbie : Minergate (mining in 1 minute)
- junior : NiceHash miner (2 versions, beginner and expert)
- senior : Claymore dual (and others, more specialized)

I went to Help > Debug Window > Console, unlocked the wallet with my passphrase, and tried using the command "importprivkey <private key>" (note that this private key was copied down from Help > Debug Window > Console on the Bitcoin Core client as a 40-50 character line of letters and numbers). However, it returned "Rescan is disabled in pruned mode (code -4)". I had previously set up a bitcoin.conf file for Bitcoin ABC with "prune=550" in the datadir folder because my HDD only holds about 125 GB. What does this error code mean? How can it be resolved? All input is valued and appreciated.
The easiest method would simply be just downloading Electron Cash (Port of electrum for BCC) and then just importing the private key to the wallet, and using that as a wallet. I am not very familiar with bitcoin-qt, but BTC and BCC use same wallet.dat files if i remember right. You can import the private key if you start the client at unpruned mode, import it there, and there restart on pruned mode. However, if you restart it on unpruned mode, you might have to sync the whole again again for the Bitcoin ABC client. That is why i recommend just installing electron cash for the lightweight wallet, or just simply store the data on a external hard drive for example. If you have a external hard drive, i can help you out to store all of the chaindata and wallet files there, if you tell me your Operating System. Best Regards. Be carreful ! Electron cash is not a port of Electrum for BCC !!! Electron cash seems to be not safe and Electrum team is not supported this wallet at all !!! Use Google to knows all the details. |

Whattomine is allways out of the true : it is not a good tool and no one site is good to know what to mine. The only way to know with our RIG is to try. All the mathematics based on whattomine or others are false, very false and it is very dangerous to invest money with these numbers. |

Get updates from bitmain's site and order when available or buy off pre-ordered miners who have already purchased but this would cost you a little more.
Sometimes, miners are never available, only in pre-order batchs. Or when they are available, they are obsolete or quasi-obsolete... |

For the coin you want, you have to build yourself a mining RIG, with GPUs (nVidia are better).
And I wrote "build yourself" because all solution you can buy "ready to use" are very expensives, and, more important, obsoletes.
If somebody have the GPUs and the knowledge to build a mining RIG : he will never sell it.
Selling a non obsolete mining RIG is like giving money to somebody.

i have a system running 7 gigabyte gtx 1070 G1 cards. I added another 1070 card to the system, but its a different model gigabyte, it is the windforce model. i added it using the m.2 extension card. problem i am having is it did not show up in the device manager. i restarted it a few times, nothing showed up. i connected the monitor directly into the new added card and the display worked fine, but it did not show any new hardware in device manager.
any ideas?
There is no problems to mix differents GPUs in the same RIG : You can mix : - cards manufacturers - models in the GPU manufacturer offer - even GPU manufacturer (nVidia nd AMD) But there is a lot of problems with the M2 adapters. |

Il y en aura, oui, mais très peu, et personnellement, je n'ai pas la prétention d'être certain d'en faire partie (j'ai au moins cette humilité).
Quand à ceux qui sont blindés de BTC, j'imagine qu'ils sont sur ce point comme ceux qui en ont peu : ils en veulent toujours plus.
Pour ceux qui ne sont pas blindés, il faut effectivement trouver d'autres sources de gain de BTC : il y en a pas mal, mais cela demande soit du temps, soit du travail, soit les 2. Elles ont par contre l'avantage d'être quasi sans risques de pertes en capital, ce qui devrait être la première des qualités pour un petit capital.
