6401  Other / Meta / Re: Can FunCAPTCHA be used instead of ReCAPTCHA at BitcoinTalk? on: October 27, 2019, 05:05:48 AM

Is it? I saw many exchanges use it. And I personally prefer it over recaptcha, it's easy and quite fun, recaptcha pisses me off.

I checked a little further, it's apparently made by Geetest.

https://wordpress.org/plugins/geetest/

But strangely the main website (geetest.com/en) displays a blank page even after switching browsers.

I agree it's way better than reCAPTCHA in terms of usability. That POS made my life hell when my account got "blacklisted" for over a year for no apparent reason.
6402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How do you like your sig campaign payments. USD vs. BTC on: October 26, 2019, 06:20:05 PM
There's no clear winner, since BTC can net you gains but at the same time, slide down while fiat is levied all the time but at least you can purchase more stuffs.

Personally, I'd go with BTC.

The CAPTCHA which Binance uses is categorized in Fun captha ? If not, then it can be used instead ?

Nope, Binance has its own in-house Jigsaw puzzle.

It is important and it is also needed to be shared to everyone. There's some explanation you explained in a wrong way. Everyone can link images but newbies that doesn't have copper member won't show the images. Newbies would still be able to link it but not able to show the image. It's alright cause we also make mistakes. Reward sent.

Oops, you're right about that. Thanks for the Merit though!

100bitcoin, FunCaptcha is something I haven't seen in a long time, and before it was a very popular captcha on most faucets. For what reason all users stopped using it, I do not know. It may have become an easy target for bots, or it may have become a paid service.

I know one captcha which is one of the last to appear on the market, and it was quite similar to reCaptcha, but recently has become quite difficult for most users, and is becoming less and less used.

https://www.hcaptcha.com/

I've experienced hcaptcha before, it was a nightmare if you're new to the system. Some of the verifications required clicks and there.
6408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Facts} Disadvantage of promoting signature campaigns that encourages spamming. on: October 26, 2019, 01:32:45 PM

It's actually a fine line between what can be classified as spam, or posting without reading previous posts which results in repetitive posting. I notice many of them do not pay any attention to anything, only number of posts is important.

Yup, but don't you find them pretty annoying too? We browse the forum for genuine conversations, only to see necroposts or the same thing over and over.

While these don't fall under spam, they get old pretty quickly.

It's been disturbing lately that whenever I come across a shitpost, 90% it comes from a Cryptotalk user.

Thankfully yahoo's making radical changes so hopefully we see less spam from this campaign.

Don't enter now, it just shot up recently. Wait for the price to slide downwards then only buy.

ATTENTION

OP is most likely A SCAMMER
I almost believed his story until he said this:
Ive managed to turn £300 into £840 so far just through a bit of trading and also won a few hundred at a bitcoin casino I found on https://www.best-casino-sites.net/

Lately there have been newbie accounts pretending to be asking for help, but then they start to indirectly advertise their shady websites.
As is the case for OP, he is trying to advertise his brand new(probably scam) gambling website by claiming that he won some BTC from it.

Domain information

Damn, nice catch!

6419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie on: October 25, 2019, 09:08:31 AM
In addition to the rest, these are some golden rules of the thumb:
1) Everyone has a reputation (or Trust). So breaking the rules or scamming will most likely net you some negative rep from the seniors.
2) Plagiarism is a one-time permanent ban. Don't copy, or link it to the original post if you do.
3) You can't link images unless you either purchase the Copper membership or rank up as a Junior Member (1 Merit)
4) Many join this forum for the sake of earning money from signature campaigns. If you happen to join one, stick by the rules. If you aren't able to due to rank, don't spam your way through. You'll see deleted posts more often or worst case scenario, a ban from point #2.
5) theymos is the boss around here. You might see his name here and there, so try not to piss him off or get him involved for the wrong reasons.
