6401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 28, 2016, 05:24:07 AM
the only problem with earning a living with bitcoin is the price volatility of bitcoin.

if you want to earn bitcoin and hold it then you are going to have a problem if the price goes down. unless you plan on earning bitcoin and selling it to fiat and use the fiat for your living which in that case you will miss out on the price rises.
6402  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is bitcoin a good buy? on: February 28, 2016, 05:16:53 AM
this is a lesson not to listen to any of the FUD that has always been spreading around the net and on the forum. i remember that time there was a lot of FUD about bitcoin is going back to two digits. but i had my faith and had some open orders around the $200 and lower which was filled that day and i had gained a good profit.

right now i think anywhere around $400 is the best price anybody can buy, but there is no guarantee that price goes there and it might only go up and you miss out.

....Obviously it could swing down to 200 and thats a pretty big drop. ...

Obviously?! how is it obvious that bitcoin price can drop down to $200
6403  Economy / Speculation / Re: I sold at the right moment :) on: February 28, 2016, 05:10:45 AM
Did anyone else make a quick hundred bucks? I sold when bitcoin touched $440, and I rebought a few minutes later when the price hit $420. Free monies!

good job.
i did some day-trading in bitcoin a while back too. it is good if you know what you are doing so you can earn a good profit. but it took a lot out of me, a lot of time consumed and a lot of stress so i have paused the project for time being.
6404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: any bitcoin wallet that pay interest for keeping money? on: February 28, 2016, 05:06:57 AM
hey i have lot of bitcoin and all is in blockchain wallet...but i am searching for wallet which pay usat least small interest for keeping money their..

that is not a bitcoin wallet. because you have to give your bitcoins to that third party to hold for you while you have no access to the private keys, you will only have an account and a promise of return.

and if they run away, get hacked, scam you,... you have nothing on your hand.
6405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally bitcoin above 400 again on: February 28, 2016, 05:01:00 AM
oh, great to see bitcoin that high again,  400$ is nice price, just i am afraid that it won't hold forever and will fall down soon, also it might be just a pump and dump
400 is nice, But 450 would be even nicer.
I hope the whales will go upto 500 and don't stop before the price is above 500 with stable buy support.

it is going to happen eventually and the steady rise with stable price that has buy support is not up to the whales but it needs massive support.

if whales are going to do anything they are going to pump bitcoin and the price is not going to stop at $500 it is going at least 2, 3 times more than this stage.
6406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: February 28, 2016, 04:57:39 AM
1. i do money management
2. risking 10% of capital for each trade
3. once the price crossed the current trend , it's my position.
4. cut loss on -20%

and the last and the most important are "stick to the rules"

so take profit +10% or cutloss at -20% ? right?
in bitcoin trade we can use this strategy but for altcoin, we can't use it, some altcoin get pumped 2-5 fold Roll Eyes

well, you have to change the rules and set them to your preferences so that you feel safe following them. and sometimes in altcoin market you have to set your rules for each market different from the other.

but one thing is for sure as he said always "stick to the rules"
6407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn Bitcoins fast and free?? on: February 28, 2016, 04:51:16 AM
^^
there is no fast and free way when it comes to earning money. unless you want to scam or rob people you can not earn fast and free anything.
you either need skills which you can use to get paid in bitcoin while working for others. or you need some initial capital to invest and take profit on that investment of yours.
6408  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: February 28, 2016, 04:47:15 AM
i think Yobit is more poor than scam. they always have problems with withdrawals, their signature users have the same problem with their payments too. maybe they are processing everything by hand and not automatically!
6409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whether there is a digital system that is better than bitcoin? on: February 27, 2016, 07:55:59 AM
whether there is a digital system that is better than bitcoin?

define better, what are you looking for in that "digital system"

if you are looking for payment processors like Paypal, etc and want to be able to spend money everywhere then there are better things like PayPal, credit cards,....

if you are looking for a similar cryptocurrency to bitcoin, look at countless number of altcoins which exist today and take a pick but none of them come close to bitcoin as price, number of people using it and more importantly number of services that are accepting bitcoin (places you can spend bitcoin).
6410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: February 27, 2016, 07:48:21 AM
You cross the street gambling you do not die. Life is a gamble. Its funny how people invest but look down on more traditional forms of gambling.
Most systems fail, so be prepared by limiting exposure.

what!!
where do you live that crossing the street is that risky?!! this is not a good comparison at all.
when you say gamble it means something that is dependent on luck, so when you are making a bet there is 50-50 chance of win and sometimes even less but when you are crossing the street there is one in a million chance of something happening to you and it can even be avoided if you are not distracted and see it coming but you can not avoid a lose in gambling.
6411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What strategy you use to trade bitcoin? on: February 27, 2016, 07:43:11 AM
I stopped trading bitcoin on exchanges. Everyone one of them, no matter how backed they are by legality so not to defraud investors, eventually turn bad in the end.

the things on exchangers are not as bad as you thing.

don't get me wrong, it is still risky to trust them and leave your money/bictoin in their website but it is not like all of them are going to become like Gox, Bter, Cryptcy,... there are still some good exchangers out there.
6412  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: February 27, 2016, 07:31:33 AM
maybe a lot of people collect bitcoin for their dream of owning a house, but this was reversed. you sell the house for bitcoin Grin

Yes I think its crazy, but also very good for the bitcoin plus its also pretty nice because the bitcoin is getting to a higher level because of these people.
I'm serious I would never do it but you really have a lot over for the bitcoin, I hope you will get a lot of profit by it.

but this is really a big risk. I was afraid that if he can not get his house back, because something bad. like his bitcoin is stolen, got scammer, or gambling addiction.

sometimes you have to take big risks to take big rewards. especially in a high risk market like bitcoin's market where the price changes with panic sellers who have heard a bad news on an FUD news website.

but this does not meant that if the risk is big you have to go all in because this can happen if you don't think it through:

This thread was started on March 8th, 2014. Bitcoin was trading around $620.
.....
The OP' father's house was worth around $400K. The OP stated that he got 648 BTC for his house, despite first expressing his interest in selling his house for Bitcoin in March 2013, when Bitcoin was just $30! That means that the OPs entry cost per Bitcoin is around $609.
....
6413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC halving on: February 27, 2016, 07:24:19 AM
The bitcoin reward halving will reduce the supply of new coins. So the supply of new coins will reduce. If the demand is the same, the price will rise.

I fell like your trolling with one post and it being this.   The fact is all the pervious coins are out there.... so there are a LOT of coins out there for demand.  Having will not sneak up on us investors know it is coming.

We hope  price will rise.... but there is no way to prove it 100 percent.  Speculation is hard anymore just look at difficulty of miners which is highly linked to new coins... it's been crazy +20 then maybe a negative this turn.  Those are big changes no one could have predicted.
I just add that after previous halving price didn't rise at all, it went down slightly. We may argue that at that time bitcoin market wasn't that saturated and market cap was a lot lower.
But you have to consider that halving alone is not enough to push the price of BTC. There is a lot coins in circulation already (+15 millions). Do we need more supply?

the supply that changes the price is not the total number of bitcoins in circulation.
it is the number of bitcoins that are being traded (sold) buy owners of those coins. 15 million or whatever the amount is consists of lost coins, satoshi coins which will be untouched, a lot of bitcoin holders, many services and businesses that are holding bitcoin and working directly with it,... so it does not mean all those coins are being sold each day that create a big supply.
6414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: February 27, 2016, 07:20:18 AM
i used to think trading is mostly chance, so that makes it like gambling.

but after a long time in trading altcoins and bitcoin i realize that it is still dependent on chance but not as much as i though in the beginning. all the trades that you make need some luck to go up and not suddenly die but you can find those investments that are 99.999% sure investment and buy those instead.
6415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Martingale Profitable ??? on: February 27, 2016, 07:14:34 AM
martingale is only good for bitcoin since you can bet from .0001-1+ btc so that can be more then 10+ turns and if you don't win after 10+ turns then it has to be rigged to lose more then that is crazy but you might as well be using more electricity then its worth if your betting 1 penny at a time

i don't know what that number you wrote means but in dice you can start from 1 satoshi and bet with 2x martingale strategy. and the maximum losing streak that i have heard is possible in ~50% chance is 30 red losses in a row so you are going to need >3BTC if you don't want to lose
6416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 27, 2016, 07:10:05 AM
I store my bitcoins in my online wallets, I store my bitcoins in multiple wallets mostly on the block chain because that is the one I trusting the most.
I also have some paper wallets for high amounts of bitcoins that I want to store for a long term, I really love it because its very safe.

You can use electrum wallet for PC wallet storage, at least that way you know that the money is in your pocket, not with a 3rd party.

i think paper wallet is more safety than electrum wallet, but for store online wallet electrum is best choice, no more space requipment not like bitcoin core.

it depends on how you are using Electrum wallet.

if you are using it as an online wallet (means on a computer connected to internet) then paper wallet is safer because it is cold storage (offline)

but you can use Electrum as cold storage too (means only run it on an offline computer) in that case there is no difference in security, and in fact Electrum cold storage is better since you can still use the coins without needing to sweep the keys like paper wallet.
6417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2016 the Year Russia Legalizes Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2016, 07:03:08 AM
who cares about russia, let them fall behind from the rest of the world.

all i care about and am watching closely is China and what they are planning to do. "they want to announce bitcoin as a real currency"
if this happens the bitcoin price is going to explode to the moon and beyond that.
6418  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2016, 06:57:30 AM
It is the year that people who have interest in it already are buying more of it.
But what i wonder about is: will there be enough bitcoin for everybody to have a little of it if they wanted too.
Is it possible for the hoarders too prohibit everybody from obtaining just a small amount if they wanted too  Huh

there will always be enough bitcoins for everybody no matter what the price is.

i have said this many times, in case bitcoin price goes so high that 1 satoshi is still worth something there it is possible to break bitcoin down to more decimal places which means bitcoin can have more than 8 decimal
6419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: February 27, 2016, 06:53:03 AM
Why stop at 800? Because we're going to 8000!!!
because he is talking about within this year not within upcoming 10 years. Wink

Technically, with all the stuff going on in the world, and block halving coming up... this year should be our best in terms of pricing for a while. If we don't have major jumps this year it's going to be a while.

the overall price rising is still there. so bitcoin price is going to go up no matter what happens because with each day passing there are new companies and new users that start buying bitcoin.

so i guess even if there is not bubble (jump) in the price, those of us who have bought bitcoin already are still in good position.
6420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I do a one off buy or spread the buy out? on: February 27, 2016, 06:49:35 AM
Buy all at once. Bitcoin is a dangerous, sexy beast that'll have you crying one day and leaping for joy the next.  Buying all at once will maximize these emotions, you'll fall in love in no time Wink

it depends on your strategy. there is no one right way to do it.

for example if you are planning on holding your bitcoin for long time and then sell it when the price went up, you should buy it all at once and move it to your cold storage.

but if you want to keep trading then you should change how you buy according to the situation. sometimes at once and sometimes with some spread by looking at how the market is changing.
