I recommend WalletBit also.

And I know they are trying hard to be a quality and secure service.

They can only get better with customers and feedback.

I use them to process Bitcoin payments in a downloads shop i worked on. Haven't got much payments so far, but until now all went smoothly.

And what about instructing everybody on how to check the file checksums?

You know, dumb proof instructions, screenshots and all, so any pop can do it.

That would be great.

Thanks!

I0coin doesn't have any forum

So, what's this?
6404  Other / Off-topic / Re: lets clog up the off topic forum with usless threads... on: August 18, 2011, 02:52:48 PM
oh for fucks sake.

when there are three threads practically stacked on top of each other for the sole purpose of trolling a single forum member, its getting excessive...

and while i still think the iocoin/ixcoin/namecoin whatever should be put it its own subboard, it doesnt look like it is going to happen,so it seems much more logical to merge the similar threads together...or maybe have a megathread for each.

And what about Ixcoin, I0coin and namecoin just post on their own forums and leave the bitcoin forum altogether? Wouldn't that be a better option?
6405  Other / Off-topic / Re: lets clog up the off topic forum with usless threads... on: August 18, 2011, 02:47:14 PM
Shouldn't this be in meta? *ducks*

nah, better not to clog up the meta forum with useless threads  Grin
6406  Other / Off-topic / Re: lets clog up the off topic forum with usless threads... on: August 18, 2011, 02:42:28 PM
Isn't that what the off-topic forum is for?  Undecided

Or should people clog up the other forums with off-topic useless threads? lol

I think it's a bad idea, but you're welcome to make your own fork incorporating this and prove me wrong.

Incorporating what?

He's just giving the idea for people to interpret the last 2 digits as those meanings, no need for a new fork at all.

I aprreciate this a lot guys...thanks.

I still do have the orginal wallet.dat file.

When pressing "explorer %APPDATA%\Bitcoin" in Windows Start, it got me to the folder where I also find the new wallet.dat.

Can I assume replacing this file with the original in this folder will do the trick?? : original is 104kb, the new one is 112kb (propably due to my spontanous address creation  Cheesy

Anyway, if anyone can confirm....I do want to make a mistake when coming this far...

Gracias!! A small token will be wired ;-)

Yes, take out the new wallet.dat file and replace it with your original one(that you had before reinstalling the client) and you should be all set Wink

Maybe a rescan of the blockchain will be needed, maybe not.

Don't delete the new wallet.dat, just in case. Back it up.

Just one thing i don't understand: How do you have 2 wallet.dat in the same folder?

Well well..what have we here LOL...

So ioucoins has its own scam thread now?

Oh, it's still very far from reaching the ammount of pages your dear "Ixcoin is a SCAM" thread has... and probably never will reach it.

Disclaimer: My above statement doesn't mean that I0coin is less of a scam than Ixcoin is.
Less of a scam than ixcoin? Obviously, simply for the reason of having no anonymous founder sitting on 500k coins.
Not a scam? Well... not a *intentional* scam. Imo the whole thing will end up as a pyramid scheme with "investors" holding a bunch of worthless coins simply because it's a alternate blockchain bringing nothing of real value to the table.
So... why did I mine it? Well... why not? I also threw > 10Ghps at testnet for a day just for fun.

I was just trying to point out to oldminer that I'm in no way deffending I0coin. Nothing more.
He has a background of misunderstanding what people say and jump on it to defend Ixcoin and attack I0coin(just look at his signature) Roll Eyes

Downloading the blockchain with Tor would suck way, way way way more

I wasn't even going to talk about the blockchain because to download it people would need to manage to finish the download of the client Wink Even opening a webpage with 150KB is a pain...

6419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ixcoin solving blocks at rate of 1.5 blks/hr?? on: August 18, 2011, 10:49:39 AM

6420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Thomas Nasakioto" of ixcoin is OldMiner... on: August 18, 2011, 10:46:52 AM
I love it when the oldfag only gives troll answers and never addresses the things that really matter.

Did you notice how he avoided to even reply to the 21million Ixcoins lie altogether, even after asking what the lie was and being told about it for the nth time?
