Those are actually valid points, this is why admins are anonymous; Which is a good thing if you are trusting them, and a bad thing if they are not trustworthy. IMHO involving trust to cryptocurrency is a big no-no gamble, but then again i like to gamble.

I was just trying to point out that illegal stream sites flourish on the internet and stopping them is very difficult. Dare I say as difficult as stopping bitcoin. To stop these sites and bitcoin you would need to pull the plug on the internet and make everything go black. But as long as there are torrents there will be a good use for purevidz by both watchers and uploaders. I don't think you understood the point of those guys. it's got nothing to do with you, or you having a problem with it, public and private torrent sites are going down all the time. One of the biggest reasons of jailing piratebay founder was the profit he made. As long as the devs keep working and not getting identified, we are fine. If they stop working or get caught, Servers stop eventually working and we are fucked. Of course some are. the ones with stupid or lazy owners go down but who even uses those? I use a few and they ones I use are always up. Im not 100% on what happened with the pirate bay but im going to do some homework now so I can at least talk about it because right now I dont have that story. All Im saying is that if the devs are good at what they do and are serious about making money then this could be a serious money maker for everyone involved and its worth the few btc risk to find out. To others it may not be worth that risk but for me it is. Also google elitetorrents / star wars while you are on it... I've been trading pirated material since floppy disks and trough the bbs-era, and while torrents are not going away any time soon, trust me, every server host has a lifeline. |

yeah, but they do have massive pumps from time to time. With a legit coin like VIDZ, expect big things on launch.  I hope not. I want to see a slow growth so its not just a pump and dump and hold for a few years.  But I just checked yobit again and I think the devs also need a block explorer first before they can have the listing. Devs do you have a block explorer yet? As long as the site is frequently updated and new content added, I expect a slow upwards growth. When porn is added expect the value to triple, mark my words. I think using vidz as a form of payment for OC porn would be very lucrative but I also think that it would diminish the overall accessibility of purevidz. The best way to do it would be to create a sister site that also uses vidz as an underlying paying system. For naming purposes they could also resurrect the old(almost ten years now) porn torrent site puretna. It fits with their naming and it also is a callback to an original torrent distributor from years past, which the torrent community loves. With all the free porn out there why would anyone want to torrent it? Not trying to be rude but just wondering. And congrats devs on a sellout blowout. Time to move my coins to safety on my own laptop. Because that "all free porn" is very small % and crappy compared to all that hight quality torrented material available. And you don't even need to cover server expenses for streaming and hosting large files. |

I dont think purevidz.net should carry porn but I do like the xxx.purevidz.net idea a lot. Devs can it be done? I third this. It's heavily frowned upon (mainstream) to download porn (via torrent or websites). Adding xxx.purevidz.net will allow premium porn content (via torrent of course) to be easily viewed by people that want the content but don't actually want to download a torrent to their computer. As long as it's curated and kept high quality I could see the popularity exploding. Movies and TV shows are one thing but adding xxx.purevidz.net could triple our potential audience. Porn is a huge audience and money maker. This needs to be done. Is porn really a money maker these days or it it just the live web cams girls that make money. Not talking about having free porn and making money on advertisements, strictly talking the porn industry, leaving purevidz out of it for a second. The big money maker is the websites that host the porn. The porn industry for the actors is not a very lucrative business (unless one is a porn star) it's the big sites such as pornhub (and purevidz?) that make a shit ton of money because of horny people looking for a quick nut. They go to a place with ads and maybe even will pay a small amount of vidz to unlock some new high quality porn content (even though people could download it for free. Then again idk the number of people that have the knowledge to obtain vidz, considering if one does have the knowledge to go on an exchange and obtain vidz they also most likely have the knowledge to just download the torrent.) If purevidz can take even a small % from that we are all going to be laughing all the way to the bank. I knew this was a wise investment ever since I noticed the thread. There will be bounties that will give out vidz so im sure or I assume at some point you'll be able to earn some free vidz just by watching content so im sure in a little while the road to access vidz will be much easier then the road to access eth or zcash for an example. And a funny thing is, i am assuming that some porn watchers would like keep it private, so marketing vpn like talked about in the past, would be to the right crowd. |

Question for the dev: Will there by an actual client side wallet where we control the private keys? You mentioned paper wallets but I find that impractical, are there plans for a windows/linux/mac wallet application?
Also have you talked to exchanges such as bittrex about getting approved on their exchanges?
i think devs said before they'd be looking to get listed on exchanges and didn't mind paying fee but i dont remember which exchanges if they mentioned any I thought that bittrex were not adding assets that pays dividends (for some legal reasons) untill they have location based blocking for markets, it's why mineum or mycelium tokens didn't get in. Not sure if this counts as one though. |

I'm still struggling with this whole website, crypto and investment thing. It just doesn't make sense. Issue number 1: If you want your BTC investment to appreciate, you need to put it into a crypto wallet, which has no connection with the web site. Issue number 2: if PureVidz becomes a success, it gets lots of users watching stuff, how does the ad money find it's way to crypto investors, without any form of auditing to know if the devs are stealing ad money or simply not declaring the ad revenue correctly? By definition, you can't trust a project whose stated aim is to steal from copyright holders. Issue number 3: If PureVidz becomes a success, it becomes a take down target immediately. The 'investment' is just an illusion, as the project will never be allowed to gain momentum. Issue number....you get the idea, there are lots of issues. 1: Yes and no. The value of the coin will appreciate as the site grows and the various burn/buyback/holding mechanisms kick in and as coin speculators gain interest in the project. Holding the coins in your own wallet (staked or even as a paper wallet) shields you from any changes or tweaks to the site. Our site contains no personal user identifiable data for that exact reason to ensure users anonymity and safety of their data (by having them protect their own coins) 2: We have mentioned earlier in the thread our intention to bring in a 3rd party auditor from the community to validate our fiat earnings to ensure reliability of our proposed buybacks and other site profit mechanisms. 3: These types of news articles are rather misleading... It references pirate bay being down but after years of attacks and government attempts to shut them down they rarely suffer more than minutes of downtime. We have discussed throughout the thread and in our whitepaper at length how we plan to ensure stability of the project. Namely the following core approaches. -Route to new domain as needed: You can read the new host from blockchain, twitterapi or multiple other methods so when one domain or host is taken down it seamlessly re-routes to the new host. -Back up site data to the blockchain: Magnet hashes are easily storable in OP_RETURN for example allowing the actual content of the site to be backed up in a decentralized method allowing the site to re-build from a catastrophic failure within minutes/hours. -Indexing and tagging links is not illegal: we host zero copyright materials but rather index publicly available links to simplify how users interact with them. Yes, americans like to try to impose their ridiculous copyright laws on other countries but it's a simple fact that our site does not break any laws in the country we are located in nor the countries we will be hosting our multiple backup servers in. Dev you couldn't possibly have a back up of the site for if and when it gets big could you?

Most of your questions are answered above but let me quickly write a condensed response. All site content and mirrors of the site will be decentralized through blockchain and various public APIs to instantly re-route users to whatever backup server is in use. If one server is interfered with or shut down for any reason there is little to no perceived downtime as it automatically routes to a new host with all content still in place.
