Libtard is an actual slur. But the fact is that there are a type of people who refer to themselves as social justice warriors (and a lot of people who don't but think and act exactly like them). You know this, right? It's an actual description, not an ad hom. Well, any more than calling a(n actual) nazi a nazi is. Do you object to the allies referring to nazis as nazis during the war as well?
I run in pretty diverse circles and have yet to encounter anyone who would describe themselves as such. I would guess that there are a very few, very young dudes hoping to get in the pants of women's studies majors that might do so...like maybe 2 in Minneapolis/St Paul and 3 in Olympia. The majority of people I encounter actually working on issues of social justice, such as racial or gender equality, very much dislike the people you identify as SJW as they bring bad press and distracting drama. I will admit. it is comforting to paint everyone you disagree with with the same broad brush, but it is intellectually lazy and ultimately hinders a more nuanced understanding of the situation.

Come, Ibian, terms like "social justice warrior" are emotionally loaded. You may as well have said "libtard". Really, it is beneath you.

It's the SJW coin.
sigh and in the next breath, an othering with appeal to emotion, profoundly disappointing

Beware of anyone using emotional terms like "bigblocktards" and the like. Arguments matter people, not emotional outbursts.
Indeed. Any time I read anything like "bigblocktard" or "insane raspberry pi fetish" I move to the next post. There are very real issues for debate, mere propaganda does a disservice to the thread.

So , what's the new support 3000 ?
As of this posting I would expect to find very robust support around $3950. As nice as that would be, I think the chances of an actual test of that level are vanishingly unlikely.

So what's happening today. Anything interesting?
not really, little flash crash to mid channel seems to be a lot of chatter about alt coins but meh
|
|
|
The recent low barely brought us to mid channel, if it holds it may well have set the bottom for the next parabolic-er run. Nothing even remotely worrying here. 1 day candles, log scale

LOL!! Just for fun, the approximate total number of SHA256 hashes needed to produce the work: 211709503865364686003240960. Protip: memorize this number to impress your friends and family, they love to hear about it. No joke!

I would like to clarify my position regarding Mark Karpeles lest my last post be taken out of context. While he does look eminently punchable in that particular pic, I actually bear him no ill will. It is my belief that Mark was simply in over his head, that when he got robbed he tried to find a workaround with the willy bot but events caught up with him.
My personal story is that I was able to get the lion's share of my modest holdings off of GOX without issue well after the alarm bells were sounding. I believe that he set some sort of algorithm or threshold that locked large accounts near the end, while allowing smaller fish to escape, and for this noble act I applaud him.
I still think he was a dumbass who was in over his head, but I do not believe he ever meant to harm anyone.

God damn, ol' magical tux looking pretty trim and smug there.
Whatever he's doing it agrees with him, hasn't looked so good in years...punchable...but good.
