I just want to add what I heard from the policemen about cryptocurrency. there was this obvious ponzi scheme investment method that they are promoting. that time they don't know what it was, all they know its paying and they thought it was a legit investment method. this scam investment company is also offering a refferal program, so they're victim is growing everyday.
There were so many victims that time because its already 2 years when in started. they used Etherium to fool investors. the method they used is the like of cloud mining. When I first heard about it, I quickly warn them about it, although they were police they don't believe me. they say, they paid us al this time, how can you say it is a scam?
It was really annoying to warn them about it, they don't believe me. until the sudden dip last year has come and that company was dissapeared. just like the other scam investment project and they all lost their money.

The only reason that I can see for them to necessarily create new Altcoins, is making some innovation of the old project by improving it a lot. Like for example, XLM is the decentralized version of XRP. and LTC the light version of Bitcoin. if you can see there's also a lot of cryptocurrencies that have their similarities and the others have some unique features that make the other project cannot compete with them. Just look the Binance way for recovering the hack funds of their client, they're the only ones who can do that so far.

Imagine You have 100$ in your account but you cannot withdraw it because it should be there to make that account active and If you try to withdraw that, the next thing you know is your bank account is no longer active.
